“I love both Aziraphale and Crowley, but if I HAD to choose, I . . .” Just gonna stop you right there, friend. You don’t have to choose. Not now. Not ever.
Hope that helps.

David as Crowley is simply stunning. The walk, the swagger, the sass, the grimaces, the silliness, the whole not-nice-but-kind stuff, the hopeless devotion, the heartbreaking confession. He’s wonderful, and the character allows him to express his full potential as an incredible actor.
Aziraphale is a subtler character to play and to appreciate. Michael’s amazing work is all about micro expressions, twisting hands, glances (loving, lingering, scared, angry, furtive, haunted, starry), eyebrows (“you don’t seem his type”), longing sighs, gentle touches, tormented hesitation, childish enthusiasm… and adorable, awkward silliness, of course. This character may not pierce the screen as fast as Crowley does, but sometimes he hits deeper, and an equal mastery is required to bring him to life.
Plus, as @neil-gaiman said, they really are a set, enhancing each other’s talent, making each other shine brighter.
Congratulations to David, he really deserves this nomination… and let’s hope Michael will get one for S3!

A dream I feel only Tumblr can properly appreciate
At the end of a long, complicated dream, right before I wake up:
We see a newscaster on a television screen.
Newscaster: People need to stop letting their germy children sneeze and cough on David Tennant.
Cut to clip of a silhouetted figure of a dad. He is shaking a finger at his kid, who has just coughed on David.
Dad: What did I tell you? Michael Sheen could get sick because of you!
I woke up laughing.

Good Omens 30 Day Challenge! (x)
Day 30: Aziraphale or Crowley?
This is a set. Do not separate.
Obviously there is no choosing because they are both perfect and both essential. That said, here are some instances where I would opt for one or the other:
If I want to look up an obscure bit of information: Aziraphale.
If I want to go to the movies with someone: Crowley.
If I need someone to drive me somewhere: Crowley. (Sorry, Aziraphale, you drive way too slow. But I do like your travel sweets.)
If I want someone to make me a cup of tea: Aziraphale.
If I want to go clothes shopping: Crowley.
If I want to go antiques shopping: Aziraphale.
If I want to go out to eat: Aziraphale.
If I want to go out for drinks: Crowley.
This has been a fun ride. Thanks for sticking with me. I now return you to your normal slightly-less Good Omens content.
