“Cute” by Prod by Rose “Part of Your World” by Halle Bailey
You and Jeong Yunho would consider yourselves very lucky people.
You married your soulmate. Someone who understood you and communicated with you well. He could read you better than anyone and knew you better than you sometimes knew yourself. He made sure to look after you, even if you struggled to look after yourself. Made sure to bring you water if he noticed you hadn’t been drinking enough. Offered to grab you a snack if you had been busy for a while. You didn’t have to tell him if you were stressed out with something - he would already be giving you a kiss on the cheek and a gentle smile, letting you know how much he loved you and how he knows that “you’ve got this.”
Yunho knew you were the only one for him. You held him close to your heart on the nights when everything felt a bit too overwhelming for him. When work became overbearing, and he needed an escape, you were that. You were there to bring a smile to his face no matter what. You gave him real and honest advice that he needed to hear. Told him when he was pushing himself too far, and to give himself a break. Accepted his hand when he offered you to sway to the light music playing from his record player.
You both felt so lucky to be gifted with two beautiful daughters. Your six-year-old, Jieun, was almost identical to her father. Her smile and her energy completely matched your husband, not to mention her squishy cheeks. She was a complete surprise when you realized your period had not come after a month, but both Yunho and you were ecstatic to meet her.
And your four-year-old, Daeun, was your tiny twin. She had your eyes, lips, and ears, but Yunho’s nose, something she shared with her older sister. She was a bit quieter than Jieun, preferring to draw more often than not, but enjoyed playing with her and their shared toys. And there was one specific thing that would always tie them together.
When the new Ariel movie came out, your daughters begged and pleaded for you to take them both. She was their favorite Disney princess, having watched the original cartoon roughly over a dozen times in the past year. When the new live-action movie was announced, they jumped in excitement, wanting to see Ariel in person.
It was a complete shame and disappointed them both, however, that both Yunho and you had been completely busy for the entire month the movie came out. Yunho had been training for work, preparing for another comeback. Your job had overloaded you with assignments that you ended up having to take home, staying up a bit later than usual to work and finalize them. It absolutely broke your heart to see both of your sweet girls upset. And it got you to muster up a plan on how to give them a little treat.
After putting your girls to sleep one night, you laid back in bed with your husband as he read a book he had been trying to get you interested in.
“Love?” You poked his cheek to draw his attention, to which he immediately turned to you and put his bookmark on the page he was at, setting the book on his nightstand.
“Yes, baby?”
“I think we should have a little family movie night with the girls,” you smiled, grabbing his hand once it was free. He hummed, a small smile gracing his face.
“I think that would be cool, love. We haven’t really had time together as a family, I suppose.”
“No, not really. And they were really looking forward to seeing the new Ariel movie. I figured that since you have off tomorrow, I can maybe call in sick, and while the girls are at school we can set up the house for a full movie night. Maybe move the furniture around a bit, I can cook up some snacks themed around Ariel or the ocean in general, and we all just hang out together.”
Yunho watched you as you spoke excitedly, with such passion in your eyes, talking about putting together something that would mean so much to your daughters. It always made him fall even deeper in love with you, knowing how much affection you held for your shared family. It was evident in how you had planned out this entire project.
You looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to say something. Instead, his smile grew wider, and he grabbed the side of your face to bring you in for a kiss. It took you by surprise, but you would never deny the warmth of his lips. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead on yours, looking into your eyes.
“You are so amazing. And I know our daughters are absolutely going to love this.”
Warmth filled your chest at his words, and you threw your arms around his neck to give him a tight hug.
You held Yunho’s hand that rested on your leg as you smiled giddily, watching as kids piled into the cars and buses. Your heart beat fast, excited to have your daughters in the car and surprise them with your husband’s presence. Usually, it would only be you picking them up after work, but with his day off he was able to drive with you to get them, and you knew it would shock them as neither of you told them about his free day. So as your car pulled up close to the sidewalk, the girls mindlessly hopped in, they laughed and jumped up to give him a hug around the neck.
“Appa! Youre here!” Jieun smiled with a toothy grin, eyes sparkling at him as she buckled Daeun in first before herself.
“Yes, sweetheart, I had a day off and wanted to spend it completely with the best people I know.” He grinned, looking at her through the rearview mirror to ensure they were both settled before shifting the car back into drive. You admired your husband’s features; how much he lit up when it came to his babies. He fell into the dad role so effortlessly when Jieun was born. Of course, he had his worries, but they passed as he learned his way around raising two girls, just as you had. To him, you and your two daughters were his entire world, no question about it.
“Girls,” you turned around in your seat to look at your daughters. “Since Appa is off today, we were thinking about having a fun day in. We have a very special surprise for you both when we get home. What do you both think?” You watched as both their eyes widened at the promise of a surprise, and they nodded their heads in agreeance with your offer. It made your chest warm inside, seeing your girls so happy.
When you four finally got home, you walked your girls to the front door before stopping them from barreling inside. You squatted down until you were their height, holding both their hands.
“Okay, loves. I told you it was a surprise, so what I need you both to do is put your hands over your eyes. And don’t peek!” Your playful tone made them grin, and Jieun gave you a thumbs-up before they both covered their eyes. You stood back to your full height, looking at your husband as he unlocked the door, holding Jieun’s shoulders to help guide her as you had Daeun.
You had them kick off their shoes at the front door and maneuvered them around the furniture until they stood right in the middle of the living room. You looked at your husband before nodding at him.
“Alright girls, you can look.”
And as you watched as their hands fell from their faces, you knew that this is truly where you were meant to be.
Their eyes widened impossibly big as their mouths dropped in shock.
The projector placed carefully behind them cast the title screen for the movie onto a bare wall, and as your husband grabbed the remote to unmute it, “Part of Your World” started to play through. The girls looked around at how the couches were moved, making a semi-fortress filled with blankets.
On the kitchen island, an assortment of foods were spread out. Blue jello dessert with gummy sharks and crabs in it, sand made from crumbled-up graham crackers that had rock candy littered in it, sandwiches cut up to create dolphin shapes, and a big fruit tray meticulously ordered to look like a big turtle. Blue and green Koolaid filled two pitchers, and their favorite cups were set out waiting for them.
Daeun started jumping up and down squealing, something you had never heard from her before. Jieun dropped her backpack off her shoulders and ran to give your waist a hug. You patted her hair and leaned down to kiss the crown of her head. She then peeled away from you to run to her father’s waiting arms, getting picked up and twirled around by him. Daeun came up to you next, holding her hands up at you, waiting to be picked up. You let out a gentle laugh before grabbing her up and giving her kisses on her cheek.
“Why don’t the two of you go get changed into your Ariel dresses and we can then all eat and watch the movie together, yea?” Daeun nodded as you set her down, running to follow Jieun as they went to their shared bedroom to change.
Yunho looked back at you as you looked at the hallway fondly, heart feeling so full at being able to do something that makes your daughters so happy. He walked over, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into him. The smell of his cologne washed over you, and you both gently swayed to the song as he sang along to it.
And at that moment, hearing your husband’s voice, hearing your daughters’ excited laughs as they run back out to jump on the couch that you had pushed together, you realized this was where you wanted to be. Right where your people were.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
― doctor dad
• usually his office is flooded with lovely little patients
• so he tries to pick out a less hectic day from his schedule to bring his kid with him to work
• this is because he wants to be able to look after his child well
• and at the same time get them to play and interact with his cute patients
• his kid did say "i want daddy to help me make new fwends"
• "my baby's wish, is my command" he replies
• it wasn't obvious that he was excited to bring his kid to see him work. really, no.
• it wasn't evident even when they came to the clinic with matching lab coats and stethoscopes hanging from their necks.
• his' was the real deal ofc while his child had a cute blue one with stitch on it. (if he spent a lot of money just for that, no one had to know)
• most nurses that passed by them cooed because his child looked exactly like his mini me
• seonghwa smiles so bright, heart swelling, and he holds his kid's hand even tighter, eventually swaying it until they arrive at his office
• before he gets ready for his shift, he makes sure to introduce every single thing inside the room (everything within his child's reach was kid-friendly anyway so he didn't have to worry much)
• "baby look, do you know what these are?"
• "tweddy!" his child would cutely reply, pointing at the yellow teddy bear in his dad's hands
• seonghwa would play with his kid for a while
• they made the stuffed toys their patients, he was the nurse, and his child was the doctor
• "this is a stethoscope" "stescowp!" "that's right, very good!"
• "you put this on your patient's chest, so you can hear their heartbeat." "artbeat?" his child would look up at him, confused
• seonghwa would pinch their cheeks first, unable to resist their cuteness
• then he'll begin explaining, "heartbeat is the sound your heart makes. it goes lub-dub, lub-dub"
• he matches it with comical expressions and wide gestures that it makes his kid laugh
• why are they so adorable? he'd think
• and then it'll be time for him to face his patients
• he leaves his kid at the corner to play with the toys they brought, saying he'll be back
• "promise me you'll behave? no crying?"
• "pwomise, no cwying, daddy" his kid will reply and they'll do a pinky promise
• seonghwa prepares his cute stickers and candies at the side for his patients while he waits
• he only had to do consultations and check-ups for today, he made sure of that
• in between breaks, he plays again with his kid
• and when they got slightly bored playing doctor with the stuffed toys, seonghwa will call on his nurse friend who wasn't on call
• and then he'd go back to his desk, continue charting, while his kid goes to the clinic's cafeteria for snack break
• it was seonghwa's last patient when things started to get a little rocky
• his last patient was a three year old girl who's having a check up for the first time
• she was scared and seonghwa didn't know what to do
• none of his stickers, candy, and coaxing were working successfully and that was a first time for him
• but then his kid stood up from the puzzle mat where they were playing with their toys
• his child picks up the yellow teddy bear that seonghwa gave them earlier
• they'd waddle towards the little girl
• and if it weren't for the current situation, seonghwa would've giggled because his child is adorable
• surprisingly, his kid was able to ease the girl and stop her from crying
• they would talk to the little girl while they both hold the teddy bear's hands
• seonghwa would smile and then he'll immediately check on the girl's heartbeat with his stethoscope while she's still distracted
• distracted by his child's ramblings
• it was such an adorable scene
• when it was time to go home, seonghwa gets startled when his child suddenly runs to his desk
• he watches them as they go over his sticker packs (his child was actually drawn to them since they arrived in his office)
• a particular yellow heart and a blue 'good job' sticker got his kid's attention and then they're running back to seonghwa
• the kid tugs at seonghwa's slacks, asking him to sit and seonghwa ends up crouching in front of his child
• "this one's for daddy" his kid puts the yellow heart on his dad's coat,
• and then comes the good job sticker, "because daddy helped me make a new fwend. i love daddy's job" his child would say
• "can you get me a sticker too?" "yes!"
• his kid will bring back a "great patient!" sticker without even knowing it's meaning
• he picked it because it had stitch's face on it, and stitch was their favorite cartoon character
• seonghwa would chuckle and then place the sticker on his child's coat as well
• "this one is for you because you've been so well behaved today." he'd smile and then ruffle the child's hair
• and then they'd walk out of the clinic, hands swaying, with some occasional happy jumps from his kid
• a few stops were made as well because his child would show off his cute stitch sticker to every person that they would pass by, may it be a patient or a nurse
YUNHO ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
― actor dad
• the idea actually blossomed after the night he and his child played a game of charades
• at one point, yunho began acting out spongebob
• his child was having fun watching him and his comedic antics that they eventually blurt out
• "i wanna see daddy acting!"
• luckily, yunho's current movie project was a family-oriented one and the director was a friend of his
• as soon as they arrive at the filming site, his child marvels at everything they see
• "daddy, everything's soo big!"
• yunho would chuckle
• at some point, his child gets too excited while yunho's talking to his co-actor
• he was so engrossed in their conversation that he almost forgot he had a child with him (how-)
• it's safe to say that he nearly lost his kid
• but he didn't
• so, all's well
• when yunho's time came for him to shine in front of the camera, his kid got to watch, front row. which was on the director's lap
• yunho knows and is a daily witness to how energetic and playful his child could get so he's actually surprised that his child was just calmly sitting there on someone they just met while seemingly being in awe by every expression yunho makes and every word he says
• in fact, his child has been behaving so well that the director let them speak through the megaphone to yell the word, "cut!"
• but ofc it came out cute and tiny and adowable~
• yunho's kid got every person on the set laughing
• later that day, a coffee truck that was sponsored by one of the casts in the movie came on the site
• the child was playing with yunho's manager and saw it
• "is that food?" the child points at the truck that had people approaching it
• yunho's manager would ask them if they want something to eat or drink but instead, the child says
• "can i get food for daddy?" they ask this with their head slightly tilted to the side
• they both ended up getting food and drinks and yunho's child does the honor of giving the sealed coffee cup to their daddy who was still filming
• as soon as yunho finishes, they carefully walk towards him
• "coffee delivery for daddy!" they'd say cutely, prompting yunho to chuckle
• then they'd share a pastry or two while yunho goes over his next lines
• when yunho gets back in front of the camera, his child would watch him intently
• their small mouth following their daddy's dialogue
• and when yunho finishes all his parts and is done for the day, he'll sit beside his kid, both of them following and mouthing every word the current actor says on screen
• soon after, both of them eventually got bored and yunho's manager finds them  getting all playful with the poor confused boy manning the coffee truck
• either bombarding him with questions about coffee or
• ordering a drink after another in a split second
• the manager ended up scolding them both
• but yunho and his child just laughs it off
• before things were wrapped up in the set, yunho planned to take a picture of himself so he could post it on his sns for the fans
• problem was, his child was starting to get all cranky and wouldn't want to leave his side
• so he asked for two pairs of sunglasses from his manager who also asked and got it from yunho's stylist
• when yunho gave the smaller sunglass to his child and said that they would take pictures like james bond, it brings a smile to the child's face
• "one, two, three!" yunho's manager would say while the both of them pose side by side, doing the infamous james bond pose
SAN ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚

― florist dad
• they haven't even left the house yet but san is already cooing and taking pictures of his kid due to their adorable ootd
• he's too attached to his child that even if the child wants to be put down, he still carries them on the way to his newly opened flower shop
• his child loves him as much as he does, so they end up not fighting their dad's urge to carry them every single time
• they both sings songs while san walks, on the way there
• they do so even while san is opening up the shop and the kid sits on a stool, twirling around to see the different flowers around them
• until they eventually got dizzy and san had to attend to them for a second
• when san is finished organizing every nook and cranny of his beloved shop, he grabs two aprons from the stock room
• he puts the apron on but doesn't tie it yet, then he walks to his overly curious child, smiling
• he makes them lower their head and puts the cute little apron on them, trying his best to make a pretty ribbon while humming
• "can you tie my apron for me, angel?" he'd say after
• when the child nods their head, he doesn't waste any second and instantly turns
• while his child is tying his apron for him, he's smiling, dimples full on display while he clutches his chest, heart soaring
• san just adores his kid so much, okay?
• everything his child does make his heart do somersaults
• since it's still a newly opened shop, after san flips the closed sign into open, it was still quiet and empty
• and what does san do to fill the silence? he makes silly dance moves while he hums which makes his kid laugh heartily
• later on he starts actually singing, making up a song with flower names in the lyrics
• they do that for a moment until it started to get quite tiresome
• so he picks up his child and transfers the stool in front of the register, closer to him when he actually starts to attend to customers later
• san teaches his kid about each button and what they're for but the candy jar filled with flower shaped candies at the corner of the counter was what grabbed the child's attention more
• and yes, san put it there because of his own kid, and not because he has a sweet tooth. nope.
• when a customer does arrive and asks for assistance, san leaves his kid with the jar telling them not to finish it all up in one sitting
• "...or you'll have a sugar rush. are we clear, angel?" the kid nods at him. "very good. daddy will be back"
• he smiles at them and gives them a small pat on top of their cute little head
• soon after, san's got customer after another
• one particular elder lady was holding him up quite longer than the previous ones
• and san didn't really mind at all since he loves helping and being of service to others
• he didn't mind explaining each type of flower, their meaning, and what occasions they're great for, to the lady
• but from his peripheral vision, he could see that his angel was already pouting from their seat by the counter
• candy jar, untouched
• he knows, san knows, that his baby is already bored out of their minds
• most probably in need of something else to stimulate them and keep their cute lil head occupied
• the lady certainly notices the hesitation dancing in san's irises, even his fidgety hands
• "is that your child over there, young man?" she asks
• san rubs his nape, awkwardly, and says yes
• "they look like they're bored to the core" she points out
• "a-ah yes, i thought the colorful candies would keep them entertained for a bit"
• "clearly not" the lady scoffs, catching san off guard
• he wasn't sure what to make out of the lady's statement until...
• "why not bring them over here? let them explain whichever flower to me and maybe i'll be able to finally make up my mind" she says
• hearing that, san does everything to not squeal a yes in front of her and embarrass himself
• "i'll be right back" he says in a hurry, hurrying to save his child from the arms of boredom
• "well, hi there, little one. you're awfully adorable aren't you?"
• the child was a bit shy at first, but when san tells them it's okay, they start going out of their shell
• fondness danced in san's eyes as he watched his child cutely explain everything to the elder lady
• the elder lady who actually seemed to have an affinity for kids
• and then, san notices
• he only notices that his child has also gotten his long time habit of pouting while talking
• all his life, he's been called cute, adorable, and other compliments there are that matches his nickname, 'sannie'
• but now, he doesn't think there will be anyone else who'll ever compare to the cuteness of his precious angel.

Patronus- Jeong Yunho (Harry Potter AU)
Tumblr media
[I don't own these images credits to the original owners]
SFW
Synopsis: Just a cute little piece of domestic Yunho and y/n but with magic. I've wanted to do a Harry Potter AU for so long so I decided why not write one with soft Yunho.
Contains: fluff, husband! Yunho, father! Yunho, Harry Potter terminology, Yunho is a professional Quidditch player because I say so
[Word Count: 2k]
Y/N had been slaving away in the kitchen for most of the morning, preparing a large meal.
Her in-laws were visiting for Sunday lunch and she wanted everything to be perfect.
Her feet ached from standing for so long and even though she knew that she could cut the time it took for her to cook and bake in half with the use of her wand, she was determined to avoid using magic. She'd always firmly believed that food should be made by hand and with love.
As she finally placed the two pies she'd been working on (one of her signature apple crumbles as well as a beautiful blackberry pie) in the oven she felt arms snake around her waist.
She was pulled back into her husband's chest and felt him kiss her neck. She chuckled and turned around in his hold to wrap her arms around his neck.
"What's up? Are you missing me?"
He nodded, "You've been busy all morning. You know you don't have to go through so much effort, my love. My parents love you and would probably be satisfied with meat, rice and that amazing kimchi you always make."
"I know; they've said so before but I still want everything to be perfect. It's not often that they come to visit us in England."
He cupped her face in one of his hands and pecked her lips, "I love you."
She smiled and pecked his lips, "And I love you."
He grinned and pulled her tight against him, leaning in to kiss her properly. She sighed happily against his mouth as she returned the kiss.
They kissed slowly and softly, just enjoying the embrace of their lover and the faint music that Y/n had playing softly in the kitchen to keep her motivated as she cooked.
He ended the kiss all too soon and kissed her nose and then her cheek as he began to slowly rock them to and fro in time with the music.
She rested her head on his shoulder and let herself be swayed, listening to him hum softly to the music.
Their warm, loving bubble was pierced by loud, high-pitched cries.
Yunho and Y/n both sighed heavily at the sound.
"Looks like someone still doesn't like naps," Y/n muttered.
"I think she just gets lonely," Yunho chuckled.
He gave his wife a quick kiss, "You finish up in here, I'll go and take care of Haneul."
"Thank you." Y/n gave him a grateful smile. She hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, too busy attending to their eighteen-month-old daughter who was still unable to sleep through the night. Usually, she and Yunho took turns to go and check on her but he'd been dead asleep last night and she hadn't had the heart to wake him. Being a professional Quidditch player was taxing sometimes, and he was always exhausted after matches.
Yunho left her to finish up in the kitchen and disappeared down the hall to their daughter's nursery.
It wasn't long before she heard the wails of her baby be replaced with giggles. She smiled to herself; Yunho had always been so good with kids.
She wondered what he'd done this time to get her to stop crying. Last time he'd Accio-ed a chocolate frog into the nursery and set it loose. Not ideal but Haneul had found it very amusing.
She set a timer for the pies and took off her flour-dusted apron before making her way to her husband and daughter.
She'd expected him to be doing something silly like making her toys float around the room like he often did but instead she was greeted by the sight of him sitting on the carpet with Haneul in his lap as his Patronus lit up the room.
She gasped softly as she watched the golden retriever bound through the air, tail wagging and mouth open with silent barks, casting a white-blue glow over the room.
It was beautiful and something she hadn't seen in a long time.
Haneul was mesmerised by the imagery and her little mouth was open and curved into a big smile.
Yunho was smiling too, looking between his Patronus and his daughter's face to watch her reaction.
She'd never seen his Patronus so strong and stunning. It had always been something he struggled with back in the day in school, earning him subpar grades in Defense Against the Dark Arts.
It had never been a case of struggling to find a happy memory; he just had too many and could never really settle on one to focus on specifically. He would flip through his happy memories as if turning the pages in a photo album as he cast his Patronus and the constant changes in thought as he struggled to focus on one specific memory would cause the Patronus to flicker in and out of existence or have it fighting to stay lit up.
She wondered what had changed. Had he been practising or something?
He spotted her standing in the doorway and blushed. His Patronus faltered and then dissipated as he lost focus and looked at his wife.
Haneul let out a squeak of confusion at the sudden disappearance of the doggy she wanted to play with and she looked up at her dad.
He kissed her hair, lifted her and rested her on his hip as he walked over to his wife.
"Hey,"
"Hey," She responded with a soft smile, "That was beautiful, Yu."
"I… Thank you." He scratched the back of his neck with his free hand, the tips of his ears red.
"And then? Why are you so coy all of a sudden?"
"Nothing. I suppose it's just been a long time since I cast a Patronus or since you'd seen it." He responded, bouncing Haneul gently on his hip.
"Why would you be shy about it though, darling?"
"I don't know… Your Patronus has always been so vibrant and unique, mine has never really been able to compete."
"Yunho."
"Yeah?"
"I'm not sure if you saw what I just saw but that was the most beautiful Patronus you have ever cast. You would have passed with honours in DADA with that creation."
"You think?"
"Yes, I do. And what do you mean yours could never compare to mine? Honey, my Patronus is a salamander, you know that. I think everyone would much prefer your puppy over mine."
She accompanied the last part with a chuckle and reached out to stroke his cheek.
He smiled softly at her, "But fire-dwelling salamander patronuses are so rare and beautiful."
She waved off his comment.
"I'm curious though, what's changed? You'd always struggled to keep your Patronus alight, but now it's brighter than half those nitwits we went to school with."
"I mean I haven't cast it since it happened but I found a new memory to focus on a few years ago."
"It must be a really beautiful one for your Patronus to manifest like that. Can I ask what you think of?"
His cheeks flushed slightly and his gaze softened as he looked at her. He always looked at her with such love and had ever since before they started dating in fifth year. It never failed to make her heart flutter.
"Our wedding night."
Her heart melted, "Which part?"
"Well, the whole thing I suppose. How beautiful you looked in that wedding gown and how I definitely didn't cry when I heard you say 'I do'. But also afterwards."
Her cheeks flushed. A certain someone had been conceived that night.
They both looked down at Haneul who was looking up at her parents with big doe eyes and her mouth hanging open.
Yunho looked up at Y/N again with a warm grin, "She is one of the best things to happen to us and I'm glad that we decided to have her."
She felt herself tear up, "Have I ever told you how much I love you, you big dummy?"
He gave her a cheeky grin and kissed her, "I don't know, maybe you should tell me again."
She rolled her eyes and gave him a quick peck, "Maybe later when your parents leave and a certain someone is asleep I'll show you."
"Oh?"
She ruffled his hair affectionately.
"Sweetheart, you've never told me what you think of when you cast your Patronus."
"Oh," It was her turn to blush, "Remember our first date to Hogsmeade?"
He grinned at the memories, "Yeah, we wreaked havoc in Zonko's before heading to The Three Broomsticks. How could I forget?"
"Well, I think of that. It was the first time you said 'I love you.'"
His grin widened as the memories came flooding back, "Yes! I remember. It was winter and your nose and cheeks were pink from the cold. You had taken a sip of your warm butterbeer and some of the foam stayed behind on your upper lip. You looked so adorable I couldn't stop the words from falling from my mouth."
She still got butterflies so many years later, "Our first kiss also took place that day. "
"Yup. I had to help you clean that foam up somehow.", He chuckled.
She leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
Their nostalgia was cut short when Haneul decided she wasn't getting enough attention anymore and started crying again.
"Oh no, don't cry, princess." Yunho moved her to let her head rest on his shoulder and rocked her in his arms. She was getting bigger every day but she still looked so small in Yunho's arms.
"Do you want mummy to show you pretty lights like daddy did?"
Haneul probably had no clue what he meant but the soft voice of her dad calmed her a little and she looked up at him through her wet lashes.
Y/N rolled her eyes, "Drama queen."
But she took her wand out from her back pocket nevertheless.
"Expecto Patronum!" She said softly but firmly. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to yell the spell out like your life depends on it, usually just being firm and having a strong intent works. Unless you're planning on visiting Azkaban anytime soon- yelling might be necessary there. Dementors don't discriminate.
No sooner had she spoken the words, a salamander appeared in the air in a brilliant blue glow.
It swam through the air and twirled as it did so, mock flames rising from it's skin. It was a pretty delightful sight. Haneul and Yunho thought so too, watching it with identical smiles and bright eyes. They looked so alike.
Haneul giggled and pulled Yunho's wand from his hoodie pocket. He took it from her just before she could stick it in her mouth. There were already a few teeth marks on the almond wood handle and his friends and teammates in his Quidditch team teased him every time they saw it.
He moved to hold her on his hip with one arm and held out his wand and conjured up his Patronus with firm words and a swish of his wand.
Haneul clapped her hands together in pure joy as Yunho's Patronus bounced through the air, silently barking as it chased Y/Ns.
Y/N couldn't help the laugh that escaped her as she watched her salamander scramble to get away from the big paws of the golden retriever.
Eventually, she started giggling so much that she lost focus and her Patronus faded away.
He stopped paying attention to his Patronus too, too busy lovingly gazing at his wife.
He wrapped his free arm around his wife, pulling her against his chest. He held both his girls in his arms and pressed kisses to each of their foreheads.
His little family would never lack in happy memories and he would make sure of it.

Growing up, you weren’t the biggest fan of trips to your grandparents’ farm in the rural countryside.
You were born in a big city, full of all the glitz and glam. There were bright lights that lit the skyline at night, distracting from the stars that illuminated above. The wide open space was blocked by high towers and large skyscrapers. You were accustomed to the sound of bustling pedestrians and the obnoxious honking of cars in the streets. There was seldom an evening of complete silence.
Everything was so tightly packed together, within walking distance if you didn’t feel like hopping in a car for a fifteen minute drive. You appreciated the insanity of the train station in the mornings before school, the metro so busy with students and working class individuals. You came into contact with numerous strangers throughout your day to day life.
However, every summer until you were a senior in high school was a different story.
Your parents wanted to keep you humble, you supposed, shipping you off to your grandparents’ for three months. Living in the city kept people too sheltered, too primped and polished for the real world. They wanted you to have that exposure, to experience what it was like to live without the fanciness of urbanization. The nine months out of the year that you spent in the city stunted that exposure, though.
When you’d arrive at their farm, luggage stacked like you were taking a trip to London or Paris, you felt like a glorified version of Regina George. Maybe Blair Waldorf. Elle Woods? You weren’t even rich like that. Your parents were nice, middle class people. There was just something about cow manure and the fear of stepping on a freshly laid egg that made it difficult to adjust to the setting.
It was most likely your stubbornness throughout your childhood that held you back even as you got older and more educated. You thought after graduating high school, the three-months-long “retreat” would come to an end. You’d only need to visit when necessary, maybe a week max. And that was true to an extent. During your university years, you only visited the farm around once a year. You were too consumed with school to even go home sometimes.
And then your grandparents decided to retire.
Their farm had supplied the town over with produce and other home-grown items for as long as you could remember. But they were getting older and no one in the family was willing to inherit the farm or its responsibilities. In celebration of their retirement, they planned a grand vacation to visit multiple countries. Their itinerary spanned an entire summer, just like your trips to the farm when you were younger.
Because you were the only one familiar enough with the area, they enlisted you to housesit while they were gone. You tried to get out of it, but they didn’t trust anyone else as much as you, despite your convictions about country life. So you reluctantly agreed, packing up your things to prepare for another grueling summer at the farm one last time.
But there was a bit of a setback.
”What do you mean someone’s living in the farmhouse behind their house?” You shriek into the receiver, holding your phone between your shoulder and ear as you zip up your final bag. Your mom sighs on the other end.
”Your grandma just only now told me, apparently it slipped her mind,” you can hear the sympathy in her tone. “He’s this boy who grew up in the town and he’s gonna take over the farm for them on the condition that they still live on the property. She said he shouldn’t get in your way and he’s expecting your presence. You’ll only see him if you ever actually go out to the farm and when he brings groceries to the house.”
”Great. Another thing I didn’t sign up for.” You mutter, giving your bedroom a once over to make sure you’re not forgetting anything. “Is there anything else I should know before I get there, like a secret pet or maybe a family living in the attic?”
”Watch the attitude, Y/N,” she warns, and you shut up immediately. “Look, I know this isn’t ideal. You’re a grown adult and you’d rather spend your summer going out with your friends, but you already told your grandparents you would do this for them. It’ll be over before you know it.”
You sigh, nodding even though she can’t see it. At least you didn’t have to worry about caring for their farm animals. It was time to think of this as a staycation rather than torture. Sure, your friends were going to be living it up in the Bahamas for a week and your boyfriend was going to be here while you were surrounded by nothing but flat landscape for acres.
Perhaps it was good for you that there would be someone else on the property. You might’ve started to feel scared being alone in the middle of nowhere for so long. Though, your boyfriend probably won’t be the biggest fan of you staying within the vicinity of another man for three months. You’d just deal with that later.
The drive to your grandparents’ farm is actually more peaceful than anything else. Driving for long periods of time wasn’t your favorite thing to do, but doing it by yourself with nothing but your music filling your ears was a sort of therapy. It allowed you to come to terms with your fate for the summer and what it could entail, even if it wasn’t exactly what you had in mind.
Seeing the lush greenery for miles upon miles as you neared their home evoked a sense of tranquility within you. If you kept a positive outlook on your situation, you would make it through these next few months unscathed and your sanity still intact. Maybe you despised the wide open space for years when you were a kid, but now that you’re an adult, you think you could learn to appreciate it and its beauty.
As long as the guy living in the farmhouse didn’t bother you like your grandmother said, everything would be—
Oh.
You pull up in front of the house, already thrown for a loop by the tall, very handsome stranger walking his dog back from the mailbox. His dark hair obscured his eyes, a bandana tied around his neck to match with the one hanging off the Border Collie’s collar. The two turn around at the sound of your engine, stopping in their tracks once you’ve parked.
He brings a hand up to shield the sun from his eyes, watching cautiously as you park slowly. You don’t know why you’re so anxious, it’s not like you’ll be interacting with him much during your stay anyways. There’s something about his slender figure and the fact that he was so clearly dedicated to what he does upon first glance that it makes you feel shy. You suck in a sharp breath before deciding to exit your vehicle, wiping clammy palms on your denim shorts. You’re starting to regret not dressing a little cuter, a little more presentable.
His features soften upon recognizing you, the pretty granddaughter that your grandparents showed him prior to leaving for their trip. The hand sheltering his face falls to his side and he gives you a warm smile, somehow warmer and brighter than the sweltering summer sun. You’d always been told not to talk to strangers, to keep your distance for your own safety, but you can’t help mirroring his expression with a small wave.
“H-Hi,” your voice wobbles and you kind of want to die just a bit. “I’m Y/N. My grandparents mentioned you lived in the farmhouse out back, but didn’t give me a name or face to expect.”
He extends his arm out and you shake his hand, albeit slightly nervously. His eyes squint when he glances between you and his dog. “It’s nice to finally meet you, Y/N. I’m Yunho, and this is Yeoreum.”
The name is fitting for the red and white colored Border Collie, her tongue sticking out as she stares up at you with big eyes that almost resemble her owner’s. You bend down to pet her, patting the soft tufts of fur on her head and appreciating her licks of excitement. Yunho laughs, whistling to catch her attention.
“Yunho and Yeoreum,” you repeat, a tiny grin on your face. “Befitting. Does she come with the property?”
“Unfortunately, no. She’s spoken for,” he teases, a pout on his features. “But she can visit whenever you’d like. Jokes aside, did you need any help moving stuff into the house?”
”That would be great, actually!” You scratch the back of your neck, lips pursing. Yunho waits for you to unlock the trunk of your car and places Yeoreum’s leash in your possession, making quick work transporting your bags inside. What was just supposed to be some light assistance, has evidently become him doing everything on his own while you stand and look pretty with his dog.
You didn’t bring too much with you since you didn’t have plans to leave while you were housesitting and your grandparents weren’t so old fashioned that they didn’t have a washing machine. Still, you felt useless allowing this stranger you’d just met to do all this manual labor on your behalf.
”Does he always do this?” You murmur to the Border Collie, falling to a seat on the lowest front porch step. She doesn’t give you a response (not that you expected her to), but pants happily in lieu of one, craning her head so you can scratch the spot behind her ear.
“You’re a guest, it’s just good hospitality for me to help.” Yunho says as he comes out of the house, stationing himself in front of you with his hands on his hips, thumbs in his belt loops.
“There’s a difference between helping and doing the work yourself. You’re just being modest,” you push yourself up to hand him Yeoreum’s leash. “But thank you anyway, that was really nice. I’m so tired from driving up here, so I think I would’ve collapsed doing all that back and forth.”
”You should go rest,” he glances at the house behind you. “There’s a whole three months of farm life ahead of you, so don’t wear your pretty little self out just yet.”
Yunho salutes to you and takes his leave, walking around your grandparents’ house toward what you assume is the farmhouse. Your eyes are wide and your cheeks feel hot, and you’re well aware that it’s not because of the summer heat. Your fingers clutch at the material of your t-shirt and you shake it to fan yourself.
It seemed like you were in for a bumpy ride these next few months. But like you reiterated prior to arriving, everything would be just fine so long as you and farm boy went your separate routes and lived your separate lives.
Yeah. Things would be alright. You hope.
Tumblr media
It’s a week into your stay on your grandparents’ farm when you bump into Yunho again.
You’re toweling your neck after getting out of the shower, heading into the kitchen to make yourself another bowl of cereal for breakfast. So far the only downside has been your inability to cook a decent meal. Takeout or your boyfriend sleeping over were usually your saving grace, but without having either of those options, you’ve stuck to microwaveable things.
The sight of Yunho unloading groceries onto the counter has you squealing and nearly jumping out of your own skin. He flinches at your volume, knocking over the bag of rice resting against the vase in the center. Thankfully it was still sealed shut, if not there would’ve been a mess of rice grains all over the island counter. His clumsiness has you slapping a palm over your mouth to silence your giggles, not wanting to embarrass him.
”Sorry, I wasn’t expecting you…” You apologize sheepishly, folding your towel over your arm and placing it on a barstool nearby.
“N-No, you’re fine! I shouldn’t have just let myself in, it’s kinda just a habit. You deserve your privacy without having to worry about whether or not I’m gonna barge in unannounced.” He dismisses your apology with a wave of his hand. “I’ll just put these up for you and then I’ll be on my way.”
”Can I help?” You waddle over to him, fingers laced behind your back. “I’d feel bad watching you put my groceries away for me after going out and getting them.”
Yunho gestures for you to occupy the space beside him with a small smile that takes solace at the corner of his mouth. The two of you do everything in complete silence, still not entirely used to each other’s presence because of the lack of crossing paths. As you’re finishing up, you start grabbing the items you need for your cereal. He raises an eyebrow at you.
”You don’t want something a little more filling?” He suddenly questions, jutting his chin at your bowl.
”I would love that if I knew how to cook,” you laugh. “Ironic isn’t it? The granddaughter of two farmers can’t cook to save their life.”
Yunho shakes his head with a chuckle, ruffling his hair. “Well, I don’t have to feed the horses for another hour if you’d like for me to whip up something better than a bowl of cereal.”
“Really?” Your eyebrows furrow. Despite growing up with the mindset that you were above the farm life your grandparents tried to impose on you, you hated feeling like you were coming across as entitled. You didn’t want Yunho to think you were lazy or that you were too good. “You don’t have to do that. I can survive on instant ramen and cereal, I swear.”
”Y/N,” he says your name with a certain authority to it, and you’ve never loved the sound of your name coming out of someone else’s mouth so much before. “I want to. I’m not the world’s greatest chef or anything, but I have a couple tricks up my sleeve.”
”Okay, then,” you nod, taking a seat at the island. You watch in awe as he dances around the kitchen and prepares something for you. It’s weird, not in the sense that you feel awkward around this complete stranger, but because you feel the opposite. You feel comfortable around him, like you’ve known him for a while. It’s almost like Yunho has been a casual part of your life for much longer than a week. He’s easy to get along with, easy to mold into what you’re used to.
And that’s weird because you have a boyfriend. A boyfriend who cooks dinner for you most nights, but somehow has never made you feel this taken care of. It throws you off. That should definitely not be the case. How is this man doing this in one week and your boyfriend couldn’t in two years?
The guilt settles in the pit of your stomach quickly. Sure, your boyfriend might’ve had a habit of forgetting important dates and didn’t give you half as much attention as he should’ve, but did that warrant the emotions brewing in your chest? Could that excuse this notion that maybe it was time to finally call it quits?
You zone out as Yunho finishes cooking your breakfast, too inside of your head to even fawn over the doting and slight coddling he was doing. Maybe you need to have a long conversation with Seojun about your relationship and where you want it to go. Perhaps it was a nice idea to invite him out to visit the farm, it could do you both some good.
“Ta-da!” Yunho holds out a plate to you, the sparkle in his eyes effectively pushing out any thoughts of your boyfriend and the shame that was picking at you. You can’t help but reciprocate his expression when you see how delicious the food looks.
He’d made you omurice, the ketchup on top in cute squiggly lines to form whiskers and a little dog face. You accept the plate gratifyingly, your fingers brushing as you do so. He smiles shyly, eyeing you carefully while you take the first bite. You don’t remember the last time you had a home cooked breakfast, accustomed to the occasional muffin at the coffee shop near your house.
”’Not the world’s greatest chef’ my ass,” you grumble, pouting at his humbleness and his inability to be bad at anything. “I might just ask you to have breakfast with me every morning if you can chef it up this well.”
That melodic laugh of his rings in your ears, his elbows resting on the island and his chin in his palms. “I’m sure Yeoreum would appreciate a companion who isn’t me.”
“How long have you had her?” You ask, shoveling more omurice into your mouth. If you weren’t so hungry and so appeased by how delicious it was, you’d feel bad for ruining his hard work. The ketchup no longer looked like a dog, but rather a splatter of red all over your plate.
“Almost four years now. I had her for a year before I met your grandparents. She adores them, so it’s no surprise that she likes you too.” He has this fond gaze in his eyes as he talks about his beloved Border Collie and it makes your heart ache.
The fact that he has such a good relationship with your grandparents seals the deal for you. Well, it would seal the deal if you were single. Yunho is like the ideal man that every parent would want their daughter to bring home. He knows how to cook, knows how to clean. He’s adept around the house, skilled in yard work and other random jobs like fixing leaky pipes and installing new appliances. He’s gentle, but doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty.
Your parents would never meet him, though. After the summer was over, you’d be back in Seoul and he would still be here, a distant memory. You forcibly laugh away the thought, excusing it as your response to his words and continuing the conversation about his dog.
Perhaps this stay would be harder to get through than you thought.
Tumblr media
As the weeks pass you by, you find yourself becoming more and more infatuated with Jeong Yunho.
Cooking breakfast for you in the morning has become a regular thing. Monitoring him at the stove with sleepy eyes and a mug of fresh coffee in your hands has ingrained itself into your routine. Yeoreum called the spot beneath your stool her own now, laying there as her owner made your food. You think the transition from seeing him as just this comforting presence, this kind individual, to wanting something more was almost too smooth.
Especially right now as you sit on the back porch sipping on some lemonade, admiring the cowboy as he transfers bales of hay from the bed of his pickup truck to the pigpen and the cattle pen. He pauses in between trips, stripping off his flannel and tying it around his waist. He lifts the hem of the white tank top he’s wearing and uses it to wipe sweat from his forehead, revealing the toned abdomen he had been hiding from you up until now.
You feel like you’re going insane, trying to pretend like you’re reading your book as you not so subtly gawk at his muscles straining with each bale he lifts. It’s crazy really, the effect he has on you doing his fucking job. You’ve made it a habit to sit out here and stare at him under the guise of various other things. Aside from being borderline obsessive, it’s horrible because you’re still very much in a relationship.
Most people would feel a hell of a lot worse than you do, like their entire world was crumbling between their fingertips just for finding someone else attractive. But for some reason, as time has continued to roll on, that guilt— that self-preservation— has faded. You’re dipping into another emotion that you’re too scared to explore.
Yunho takes a break from his labor to guzzle down a bottle of water, his chest heaving up and down from exertion. Had you been paying attention to anything other than the view of the handsome man, you would’ve noticed the glass sliding out of your grasp, the condensation becoming far too dense to keep a solid grip on the cup. In the midst of drooling over him, your lemonade falls to the ground with a loud clanging noise.
Your reflexes are only swift enough to save your book, but the drink spills everywhere else and you wince at how embarrassing the situation is. You hurry inside to grab a towel before he can see the mortification enveloping your features. He seemed like the observant type, like one scan of your face could tell him everything he needs to know without a single word exchanged. Your fingers curl around the edge of the counter, blowing a raspberry while you attempt to regulate your blood pressure.
Through the window above the kitchen sink, you make out a confused Yunho, brows furrowed as he looks in the direction of the house. He worried over you entirely too much, particularly when you take into account the fact that all you did was think about him in manners not necessarily safe for work. Maybe you were just delirious. That was the only logical explanation for why you’re spiraling.
The high temperatures of the summer coupled with your surroundings are contributing to your change in behavior. Yes. That made sense. You weren’t crazy.
With a bit more reprieve, you’re able to grab a tea towel and head back outside to clean up your mess. (Not unaccompanied by a couple glances in Yunho’s direction, but that’s fine. Perfectly healthy even. It’s normal to check up on a friend. At least, that’s what you tell yourself, but who’s holding you accountable?)
Tumblr media
“You know you’ve been making me breakfast every morning without asking for anything in return,” you speak up one morning, chin resting on the island. “Is there anything I can do to repay you?”
Yunho purses his lips as he hands you your plate. “Nah, I like cooking for you.”
You try to ignore the way that has your heart fluttering in your chest, try to ignore the warmth blooming beneath your skin. Your eyes glance down at your food to avoid eye contact, bringing your chopsticks up to your lips. “Okay, well I wanna do something for you.”
Despite mumbling the words, he hears you anyway and smiles to himself as he takes a sip from his mug. He rolls up the sleeves of his denim button up, reaching down to scratch behind Yeoreum’s ear, the area that you’ve learned is her favorite. She pants joyfully, jumping on his leg excitedly. He looks between the two of you.
”Missy here needs a bath,” he says, cooing at her. “I was gonna give her one later, after I cleaned out the stables, but if you don’t mind doing it.”
”I’d do just about anything for that precious girl,” you nod enthusiastically. “Consider it done.”
This is how you end up out back, dog shampoo in one hand and the water hose in the other.
Yeoreum’s signature bandana and collar lay on one of the rocking chairs on the porch, the dog looking so different without her accessories as you prepare to bathe her. You wet her fur generously, squeezing enough shampoo into your palm to lather it on. Compared to your childhood pets, she’s pretty well behaved.
She’s probably one of the only dogs who’s ever actually enjoyed taking a bath, sitting still for you while you scrub and rinse and repeat. You take your time with cleaning her, wanting to make sure you do your best as a thank you for every plate Yunho has ever made you. Usually, this isn’t something you would jump at the opportunity to do. Somehow, being back at the farm this past month or so has done everything your parents tried to do when you were younger.
It could’ve had to do with the desensitization of being here every summer for so long that it just never stuck when you were grade school age. But now, fully grown and experiencing this all over again on your own, with new faces at your side, it’s like you’re being exposed to something different. You can see why your mom and dad didn’t want the city life to become a dependency.
You preferred the view of cabs and cafés over cows and chickens in the past, but now you found a sense of familiarity in them. You’d always want to go home as soon as you got here. Unlike other kids, you wanted your summer to be over as quickly as possible. You couldn’t imagine going home after this, though. This unveiled attachment to the farm you detested when you were younger could only be accredited to one person, and it was a little frightening.
He constantly brought out parts of you that you didn’t know existed. This enigma, the one that emphasized how big of a role he’s fulfilling in the short period of time you’ve been here, drills itself into your brain every day. You knew you had to acknowledge it sooner or later, but it was just less of a hassle to act like it wasn’t screaming at you. Your fear of change was a more pertinent issue to ignore, so you let it consume all else.
While getting lost in your thoughts, Yeoreum starts shaking and startles you, causing your hold on the hose to loosen, water spraying everywhere. The diversion has you losing your footing and slipping in the mud. You shriek, though it does nothing to block the stream that drenches you, your clothes getting wet. The universe decides it’s not on your side, because you happened to wear a white shirt. Why you chose to do that when you knew you were bathing a dog, you have no clue, but it was a little too late for regrets.
Yeoreum jumps out of the basin you had her in and runs to the farmhouse just as Yunho’s walking out, fresh from the shower. You forgot that he was cleaning the stables at the same time you were giving the Border Collie her bath, but now you’re starting to wish you waited until afterward just in case you needed the assistance. And well, you definitely needed the assistance.
Plucking the tail end of the mishap, Yunho’s initial reaction is to laugh at your misfortune, but the closer he gets to the scene, the laughter dies out in his throat. Your top is sheer enough that he can map out the outline of your black bra. It leaves very little to the imagination and he thinks he might fall to his knees right here.
Since your grandparents told him that you’d be house sitting while they were away and proudly showcased a photo of you, he’s been enthralled by you. You had the face of an angel, or maybe a really enticing demon, he hasn’t cogitated it much yet.
He swallows thickly, hoping to keep his composure as he makes his way to you. His hand is a little shaky when it reaches to take the hose from you, squeezing his eyes closed and switching off the water. He stays there for a few seconds to mentally prep himself for an up-close-and-personal look at you, even going as far as holding his breath.
“Uh— you— um— you should go inside and dry off before you catch a cold,” Yunho keeps his eyes cast downward. He’s grateful that you don’t note how red the tips of his ears are, or how he thinks the sky is suddenly much more interesting than your face.
Your head cocks to the side in confusion. “What do you mean ‘before I catch a cold’? It’s, like, a million degrees out.”
“The temperature drops at night and the sun’s setting soon. I’ll handle it from here. Yeoreum ran off, so I gotta chase after her anyway and I don’t think you want her to soak you more than she already has.” He’s insistent on shooing you away and getting you inside of the house. You huff.
”Okay… If you say so…”
Reluctantly, you spin around and traverse back. The draft of the air conditioning has you shivering, rubbing up and down your arms as you enter the bathroom to inspect the damage. Your eyes almost bulge out of their sockets when you finally see yourself. No wonder Yunho was so adamant on staving you off like you were the plague.
In your defense, you didn’t think the hose won the battle by that much. You assumed you’d just gotten everything above your shoulders wet, but no. You were practically doused head to toe. And the clear display of your brassiere under your clothes was the last thing on your mind.
He was stronger than you. Actually, he was a more respectful person than you. You would’ve gawked at him shamelessly if the roles were reversed. But at least you’re self aware! Right? The first step in recognizing that you have a problem, is admitting that you have a problem. That’s what you think they say in those addiction commercials, but you could be wrong.
Wow. Now you were comparing him to drugs. Though, you suppose there isn’t that huge of a difference. Both had equal success rates in terms of getting people high and then making it hard to wane off their effects.
You really had to quit it with the metaphor usage.
Tumblr media
It’s around midnight that night when the lightbulb in the bathroom goes out, halting you from finishing your bedtime routine.
You’re exhausted to say the least, face damp from washing it and one of those fuzzy hairbands with the animal ears perched on your head. You were ready to crash out, but there were still a couple things you needed to do before that. It was proving to be a little difficult in the pitch black bathroom. The window above the shower was too narrow to provide any sufficient moonlight.
With a low grumble, you shuffle into your slippers and make the short trek from your grandparents’ house to Yunho in the farmhouse. You hug yourself when a strong breeze blows past, your flimsy t-shirt and sleep shorts doing hardly anything to block the cool summer night’s air.
A piece of you feels a little bad for bothering him so late, but you have no idea how to change a lightbulb. You don’t even know where the lightbulbs are. Besides, you think you’d electrocute yourself if you made an attempt to do it on your own.
You huff out a sigh and bring your knuckles up to knock at his door, waiting patiently for a response. He’s not asleep, you know this because he’s mentioned that his internal clock doesn’t turn off until two in the morning. Circadian rhythms were an odd concept, so to each their own.
“Yunho! It’s Y/N! Open up!”
When a few minutes have passed, you try the knob. Maybe it was a bit… too presumptuous of you to enter his home without explicit permission. Yes, you’d known each other for the better part of a month and a half, and yes, you’d gotten very close in that timeframe, but did that constitute your actions?
Whether or not the answer to that question was a yes or a no, you really wish you would’ve just waited outside. As you venture further in search of the cowboy, you stumble upon something you shouldn’t have.
Standing in the hallway on the other side of his bedroom, the door ajar at least an inch, you catch a glimpse of him on his bed. That white tank top you’re so used to seeing him in is between his teeth, eyebrows knit together in pure pleasure as he fists his cock with a purpose. His nostrils are flared and whiny moans escape from behind the fabric.
His head falls back every now and then, eyes fluttering shut when he runs his thumb over the slit. He’s so focused that he doesn’t notice you, too entranced with chasing his high. Your lips part as you watch him fuck up into his hand, his shirt slipping from his mouth when he groans out a curse.
Just as quickly as you become distracted by the sight of Yunho jerking off, you become aware of what you’re doing. You flee the scene before you get yourself caught, exiting the farmhouse as quietly as you can. The lightbulb can wait until morning, it wasn’t that important, honestly. You’re in a daze the entire walk back to your grandparents house, goosebumps littering your arms and the image of him in such an obscene state burned into your brain.
You fall backwards onto your bed, staring at the ceiling in hopes of willing away the path your mind is beginning to wander towards. All you can think about is the sight of him so desperate for release, large hand wrapped around his dick, abdomen contracting with need. You know you weren’t supposed to see, weren’t supposed to bear witness to something so personal.
It’s difficult to push out the nasty, inappropriate thoughts clouding your head. His expressions contorted into absolute bliss. His slender fingers could probably do so much more than your own, could probably reach places you’d never even dreamed of. And fuck, his dick, prettier and bigger than any other you’ve ever seen.
Your chest blushes with heat, an embarrassment washing over you when you realize you’re turned on. You should feel terrible for intruding on Yunho’s privacy like that, especially without him knowing, but all you can do is want him more than you already do. That craving for something deeper, carnal, fans the flame engulfing you, dragging you further into the sick and twisted hell you’ve created for yourself.
Yunho has been nothing but welcoming, kind and gentle with you, someone he didn’t even know the name of until last month. Someone who’s done everything in their power to repress this lifestyle for so long. And for some reason, it just comes so easily with him. You don’t feel forced to enjoy living on the farm. He makes you laugh and puts a smile on your face effortlessly. He has you wondering if life can actually be this simple.
But when all is said and done, there will be somebody else waiting for you back home. Somebody who doesn’t know how to whip up omurice with freshly laid eggs. Somebody who isn’t even a dog person, who thinks pets are nuisances. Somebody who doesn’t live in the farmhouse behind your grandparents’. It’s a bitter pill to swallow.
If you touch yourself with tears streaming down your cheeks to the thought of the man who has eyes that resemble the night sky, well that’s between you and whatever higher being exists out there.
Tumblr media
You sit across from Yunho with bated breath, afraid that if you opened your mouth he would know your dirty secret. You avoid his eyes for the same reason, like one good look at you would reveal what you were trying to hide.
Yunho himself was doing his best to pretend like he hadn’t masturbated to the thought of you last night. He liked to think he was good at keeping his feelings under wraps. It wasn’t like he didn’t know you were in a relationship, he’s heard you on the phone before. He stays silent as he fries rice in a pan and has some bread in the toaster. The only sounds in the kitchen are sizzling and the pants coming from Yeoreum under your stool.
In the time that you’ve been here, never once has it been awkward between you like this. The conversation usually doesn’t stop flowing, rolling on and on and filtering into things that don’t pertain to the original subject. He rarely has his back to you for too long, turning over his shoulder to shoot you a grin every here and now.
Both of you go to speak at the same time as a means of salvaging the morning from eternal strain. You stare at each other for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. Truly, you were two birds of a feather, or however that saying goes.
”Sorry, I don’t know why I’m being so quiet today,” Yunho says, though he knows it’s a lie. “I guess I had a long night.”
”Oh, that reminds me,” his mention of the previous night has you recalling the reason you went out to the farmhouse in the first place. “The light in my bathroom went out, do you think you can fix it for me?”
“Yeah, for sure,” he begins preparing your plate. “Actually, I have this joke about lightbulbs. You wanna hear it?”
Your lips curl into a smile, already attempting to hold back your laughter. With a raised eyebrow, you respond, “What is it?”
”What did the lightbulb say to the light switch?” He asks nonchalantly, taking a bite from his own piece of toast. You’re failing miserably at acting like you don’t think the joke is funny, although he hasn’t even told you the punchline yet.
”I dunno, Yunho, what did the lightbulb say to the light switch?”
“‘You turn me on.’”
There’s a pregnant pause as the joke resonates and you can’t stop yourself from cackling at how stupid it is. He joins in, but mostly because your laughter is contagious. His chest swells with pride at his successful landing, feeling like he’s on top of the world just for bringing a smile to your face. God, he was down tremendously bad.
Your spoon clatters onto the counter as you lean over, a hand clapped over your mouth as your boisterous laughing simmers into a giggle. Yunho leans into you slightly, matching your energy as he munches on his toast. This is what has you conflicted, so at war with yourself. The proximity should have you pulling away, but something about him always reels you in, despite the consequences that await.
And unfortunately, those consequences come to a head today.
“Are you fucking serious, Y/N?”
You and Yunho jump back, whipping towards the source of the voice. Seojun stands there, his bags at his feet and his face crestfallen, disbelief written all over it. He shakes his head and turns to leave, you stumbling off of the barstool to follow behind him. The guilt you’ve only ever felt momentarily settles deep in your chest and deep in your stomach, though you technically haven’t done anything wrong.
Your abruptness startles Yeoreum and she’s up in a heartbeat, tailing behind you curiously. Yunho has to rush to stop her, but a part of himself wants to do the same. No matter how much he likes you, he’s never wanted to be the cause of your relationship falling apart. He wanted you organically, not like this.
”Seojun! Wait!” You call after him, holding up a hand to block out the harsh sunlight, tripping over your slippers. He scoffs.
“What am I waiting for? You to spew some bullshit about how nothing’s going on between the two of you? I’m not fucking stupid, Y/N. I’m not blind.” He pops open his trunk and throws his bags in haphazardly.
”You’re being unreasonable,” you exclaim, rounding the car so you’re directly in front of him. “There is nothing going on. We’ve just gotten to know each other since we live in the same vicinity. Did you want me to stay here for three months and hole myself away with no other human contact?”
“He was just supposed to be the guy who lived in the farmhouse. He wasn’t supposed to bother you. That’s what you told me, remember?” Seojun is losing his patience, something that has always been the root of the problem when you’ve gotten into past arguments. “How do you expect me to react when I come to surprise you and see you being so close to another man?”
“I was laughing at a joke he told me. You’re making this a bigger deal than it is and blowing everything completely out of proportion. I’m sorry that it never came up that we became friends, but I didn’t do anything wrong. I’ve never once cheated on you in the three years we’ve been together and for you to accuse me of that is so fucking low of you.” You’re not going to cry, not going to give him the satisfaction of knowing he’s won. He thrives off of seeing your vulnerability and you won’t let him have it.
“I saw the way he was looking at you,” he seethes, balling his hands into fists at his sides. “I know that look because that’s how I used to look at you.”
A laugh devoid of any humor leaves you and he blinks. “That’s how you ‘used to’ look at me? When did you stop? And why am I just finding this out?”
”That’s not— that isn’t what I meant, Y/N—“
”No, Seojun. You did,” you glance away from him, nipping at the inside of your cheek. “We’re grasping for straws. We aren’t going anywhere anymore and we haven’t for a while now. That’s why we're standing here arguing over this. I just want to know why you didn’t just tell me.”
”I’m too complacent,” he sighs, breathing through his nose. “I was too comfortable with you and I didn’t know how to let you go or walk away. But you’re right, there isn’t anything for us to save, and it seems like we’re both ready to move on.”
“What does that mean?”
“I saw how you were looking at him, too. You might not have acted on it, but you have feelings for him. I’m not gonna stay and hold you back.” Seojun unlocks his car, opening the door. “And for what it’s worth, you won’t be wasting your time.”
You don’t respond, instead humming and letting him drive off. Once his car is far enough out of your view, you go back into the house. There’s an indescribable emotion that hostages you, binding your wrists and tying you down metaphorically. You can’t seem to shake it.
Yunho is still in the kitchen, sitting on the floor with Yeoreum to keep her calm. He gazes up at you expectantly and you feel the tears you were suppressing from Seojun bubbling up. If you weren’t going to cry in front of your (now ex) boyfriend, you definitely weren’t going to cry in front of him.
With a trembling exhale, you force yourself to say, “I need to be alone.”
He understands empathetically, clipping on Yeoreum’s leash and leaving the house in the same breath. That in itself has you crying like a baby the moment you’re all by yourself. You hold your face in your hands, body shuddering with each sob you release.
I saw the way he was looking at you.
I saw how you were looking at him, too.
You had a lot to think about, and everything always seemed to circle back to Jeong Yunho.
Tumblr media
A couple days escape you before you register you haven’t seen much of Yunho. After your breakup with Seojun, you really did need a bit of room to process it all, but you hadn’t realized just how much you depended on the cowboy’s presence until you were missing it.
You hadn’t meant to push him away, if that’s how he saw it. A night of bawling your eyes out with a pint of ice cream and The Vow was enough to cure you. However, it appears that he thought you needed more, going as far as putting a pin in your daily breakfast ritual. You aren’t sure how to extend an olive branch when you weren’t even trying to cause a rift between you in the first place.
Being with someone for three years may not seem like a lot, but that fraction of your life is stuck with you, like a thumbtack that refuses to come out of the wall. You’d had boyfriends before Seojun, but they weren’t nearly as serious. There weren't formal introductions between parents, no late night conversations that bleed into early mornings, no sleepovers and quick kisses before work.
Of course, after a certain point, those had just become habitual. You weren’t doing them because they evoked a sense of love or care anymore, but rather because you were familiar with them. It was safer to continue the pattern of waking up and falling asleep to Seojun on the other side of the bed, the intrusion of sunlight and the cacophony of traffic outside your window, even if you didn’t really want to.
And then you came here.
Somehow, returning to your grandparents’ farm was exactly what you needed to break through that cycle. As much as you would love to attest it to your location and discovering the appreciation your family wanted you to feel for it, you know the real reason. It’s all thanks to a certain cowboy.
Yunho’s feelings for you run far deeper than he could’ve imagined. He doesn’t know the extent of what happened with you and Seojun, but he thinks putting distance between you is better in the long run anyway. On the off chance you’re still together, he wants to preserve his heart. He’s handed it to someone else too easily in the past and he doesn’t want to make that mistake with you if you don’t feel the same.
But even on the off chance that you’ve broken up, he still wants to stop himself from falling further and harder than he already has. Without ill will, he doubts that you would give up the life you have in the city for this, for him. He’ll be perpetually chained to being a faint imprint on your memory of the summer. You’ll think back to the months you spent here and he’ll have played only a minor role.
It was wishful thinking, too hopeful of him to presume this would lead to a happy ending. You were from different worlds, led different lives. It was time for him to be realistic. And that meant implementing the space that was supposed to exist between you from the get go.
Though, you make it difficult when he bumps into you on the way back from the mailbox. Déjà vu, anyone?
Yeoreum is excited to see you, jumping onto her haunches to lick your face when you kneel to her level. You giggle, squeezing one eye shut as you balance yourself and hold her still so her weight doesn’t clamber you both onto the ground. Your fingers pet to top of her head softly as you coo, “Who’s a good girl?”
Yunho physically winces when his chest tightens at the sight of his two favorite girls. The word ‘distance’ bounces around his head like a pinball, reminding him what he’s supposed to be doing. He just can’t bring himself to walk away. Especially when you look at him with those pretty eyes of yours.
“Hey…” You start, steeling your tone to ensure it’s even. “I’m sorry if it seemed like I was avoiding you or something. I needed some time to myself to figure things out. It wasn’t my intention to shut you out and put you on the back burner.”
”No, it’s okay. I had to figure stuff out on my own, too,” he uses his bandana to dab at the sweat perspiring on his forehead. “Did you sort through whatever you needed to?”
“I did,” you nod, standing upright. “Seojun and I broke up, so I had to sit with my feelings for a bit. We’ve been together for so long, I think I needed to remember what it was like to be without him, and then I realized that’s basically what I’ve been doing since I came here.”
”Oh.” Yunho’s lips form an ‘O’ shape, hands dragging down the sides of his pants. “I’m sorry— um— about your breakup.”
”Don’t be,” you smile, dismissing his sympathy. “It was a long time coming, honestly. We weren’t really in the relationship wholeheartedly anymore. There wasn’t a point in stringing it along, you know? But that’s enough about me, did you figure your own things out?”
”I thought I did,” he says, which is true considering he’d been mulling over what to do with his emotions subsequent to your argument with your ex. “And then I kinda steered off course. It’s alright, though, I think I like the new conclusion I’ve come to a lot better.”
You might be on the same page now, but there was an entire discussion that had to happen to solidify that. Following a very emotionally charged past couple days, you could do without that today. You’re both just glad that the air is cleared and you can resume building the bond that began forming the moment you stepped foot onto the farm, no restrictions whatsoever.
Tumblr media
“Have you ever ridden a horse?”
You glance up from your book, this time genuinely reading it as Yunho fed the chickens and cleaned up their coop. He towers over you while he asks the question, his shadow thwarting off any direct sunlight. Your nose scrunches.
“When I was in, like, middle school? It’s been a minute,” you answer, making sure to bookmark the page you stopped at. “Why?
”Would you let me teach you how to do it again?” He nips at his lower lip, like he’s nervous you’ll say no. The truth of the matter is you’d say yes even if he asked you to commit arson, which is kind of a problem.
“That sounds fun,” you shrug. “What time should I be ready?”
”Uh, now?”
Okay, so sitting on a horse did not seem this scary when you were twelve.
It probably had to do with you being fearless and whatnot, but also because you did whatever your grandparents asked just to appease them. The faster you got off the damn horse, the faster you could go back inside and situate yourself in front of the TV. They thought they were making progress with you, but really you were outsmarting the outsmarters.
Sweat glazes on the underside of your hands, disrupting the security of your grasp on the reins. Yunho thought it would be wiser if he stayed on foot, guiding you and the horse around the perimeter of the pen. You hoped you didn’t look as afraid as you were, but you’re certain the slight quiver of your bottom lip gives it away.
“You’re doing fine, Y/N,” he reassures, maintaining a comforting amount of eye contact with you.
”Am I? Or does it just seem that way because you’re pulling the horse?” You quip, gripping the reins tighter when it steps over a rock and you sway a little. Your tone is laced with sarcasm, something Yunho hasn’t heard much of from you since you’ve met, but he thinks it’s cute that you resort to violence when you’re scared.
You notice the quirk of his mouth and how he’s trying not to laugh at your terror. It pisses you off solely because his humor isn’t unwarranted. You are being a bit over dramatic. He unties his bandana from around his neck and tosses it to you. “So you don’t callus your hands.”
He’s too thoughtful, too considerate for his own good, but that’s what roped you in. Even when you met for the first time, he had you figured out. The longer you stare at him, the more you realize just how perfect he is. If you were still in school and you were tasked with writing an essay about the summer you spent here, you’re sure the words would flow onto the pages flawlessly, without skipping a beat. Your prose would be so beautifully written, that even the most notable authors would be envious of your experience.
The only downside of this was the fact that time was beginning to seep through your fingers. There was mutuality in your feelings for each other, that was almost unequivocal. You were both just hesitant in taking that first leap. The uncertainty lied with that goodbye at the end of August, the one that’ll hurt a lot more than it was supposed to. But you know that postponing your unceremonious declaration of feelings would just do more harm than anything else.
One consistency you’ve singled out since coming back to the farm is this common theme of divine intervention, or fate, whatever you want to call it. Right when you’re on the brink of an epiphany, you’re always forcefully shoved into it, like a freight train crashing into its platform traveling at full speed. This moment is no different.
Yeoreum barking at a squirrel on the other side of the pen scares the horse who’s back you were currently on. It bucks up and you release the reins in alarm. You fall quickly, but Yunho’s quicker, catching you in his arms like it’s been a childhood dream of his to be a superhero. He searches your face for any indication that you might be hurt, a hand coming up to cup your cheek.
The eyes you’ve grown to adore examine your own with so much care that you find yourself melting in his hold. Your face instinctively leans into his palm, fingers still clutching the fabric of his shirt like he may drop you.
It’s nearly second-nature to minimize the gap between you.
You never understood what novelists meant when they described kissing scenes. And you think that’s because you’d never truly had a kiss like this before. It was as if they were all talking about this second, this blip in time. The sparks that shoot from where your lips meet to the tips of your fingers, the thump-thump-thump of your heartbeat in your ears, the sensation of never wanting to escape, never wanting to stop.
Yunho’s hand snakes behind your head, tangling in your hair to deepen the connection. It’s hungry. It’s desperate. It’s too much. It’s not enough. Everything that had been stacking on top of each other was leading to this, the collision that rivaled the Big Bang. You whine into his lips, an invitation but also an inquiry.
He parts from you just so he can catch his breath, his forehead resting on yours. “Can I take you inside?”
You nod fervently. “Yes. Please.”
He wastes no time hauling you to the farmhouse. His grip on your wrist is gentle as he pulls you into his bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed and trapping you between his legs. Your restraint wears thin, nimble fingers fumbling with the rest of the buttons on his denim shirt. You push it off of his shoulders, a bit shell shocked when you discover that he’s wearing a regular t-shirt as opposed to his usual tank top.
“You would pull something like this today of all days,” you laugh breathily, untucking the shirt from his pants. He reciprocates the sentiment, pressing a kiss to the side of your neck while you undress him.
“Is it evil of me to say I was sorta hoping this would happen?” He speaks into your exposed collarbone, nipping, sucking, biting the skin. Your appreciative sigh goads him, his tongue gliding across the abused surface as a form of relief.
“Mm-mm,” you hum, shaking your head, fast to yank off his shirt and run your nails down his abdomen. “I’ve been waiting for this for too long.”
“Yeah?” Yunho flips the two of you easily so you’re the one on the bed now. He pushes up the hem of your shirt, pecking your stomach to your clavicle as he shows more and more of your skin until the fabric is removed from your body. “Can’t believe I finally get to have you.”
You involuntarily moan, completely untouched and because of his words alone. Every part of you feels like it’s lit ablaze, burning with want and need and everything in between. This ran further than just what-ifs and late night fantasies. Your relationship with Yunho tiptoed on the edge of something you’ve never known before, and that makes this so much more special.
He glances up at you when his fingers reach for the button of your shorts, a silent ask for permission. You give him the green light and hold yourself up on your elbows, watching with your breathing trapped in your throat as he rids of your panties along with them. His hands push your knees to your chest, kissing your inner thighs and right around the place you need him most, but never there.
“Yunho…” You warn, but it comes across as a broken whimper rather than an establishment of authority. He laughs and then his lips are pressing to your clit, a sweet kiss that has all rationality taking a vacation from your brain. Your head tips back and you fist at the sheets.
He drags his tongue through your folds, swirling it around the sensitive bundle of nerves each time it makes its return. It’s almost criminal how good it feels to have his mouth on your cunt, eyes already heavy lidded with pleasure. He sucks on your clit at the same time he decides to insert a finger into your entrance, curling it experimentally just because he can. Like you predicted, it reaches that spongy spot at the crook of your pussy, brushing it once he’s sure he’s found it.
While you walked in on him fucking his fist, the only thing on his mind was you. He was so absorbed in the mental image of what you would look like beneath him, wiggling, writhing, squirming with indulgence. His social awareness was at a zero. This replayed over and over until he came, his thoughts so vivid he could’ve swore it was real.
But this, the actual thing, was so much better; his forearm pinning your hips down, his middle finger curling and uncurling inside of you, his mouth working overtime to inch you towards the edge of that steep cliff. He moans when your eyebrows practically coalesce, bottom lip trapped between your teeth. You look so gorgeous like this, so disoriented all because of the bliss he was providing. The vibrations of the sound have you arching your back, uncontrollable whines running from your mouth.
“Feel good?” Yunho asks, disconnecting his mouth and replacing it with his other hand, ring and middle digits swiping across your clit with practiced pressure.
“Mhm,” you nod frantically, eyes on the brink of rolling to the back of your head. “Feels so good, Yun… Just like that, ‘m almost there.”
That’s all he needs to hear, switching his hand and mouth once again, focusing on alternating harsh and gentle sucks of your clit, adding a second finger to pump in and out of your hole. The doubled change in stimulation knocks the wind out of you, the precipice of your orgasm so close you can taste it. You’d never been brought to the summit this early in the past, and you think Yunho deserves some sort of reward for being the first to do so.
You’d worry about that later though, because you’re blindsided by it before you can even conjure your next thought. You cum with a cry, tears springing to your eyes from the immense amount of ecstasy coursing through your veins, swimming in your bloodstream. Yunho coos at you, not stopping until you’ve relaxed in his hold. “That’s it, baby, you’re doing so well.”
The praise makes your head feel airy, like empty space unoccupied by anything. If you paid attention in chemistry, then you’d know that’s highly impossible, but you didn’t. The only chemistry you even remotely care about is the one between you and Yunho, the tension that has piled higher and higher for days on end until its crescendo now.
You sit up to kiss him roughly, savoring the taste of yourself on his lips. He smiles into it, a hand raising to caress the underside of your jaw. He climbs onto the bed, scooting you up so you’re positioned by the pillows. It doesn’t take much effort for your bodies to swap, his back to the headboard. You clumsily seat yourself on his lap, a knee on either side of him and sighing wistfully when his mouth trails down your throat and sternum, slender fingers sneaking behind you to unclasp your bra.
He aids you in removing his pants, still simultaneously prioritizing kisses all over your bare chest. When you’re both fully naked, you take your time admiring his cock. It’s just as pretty as you remember, long and thick. Your hand wraps around it gingerly, stroking the length as you lean down to kiss him again. You don’t think you could ever get enough of his lips on your own.
“I’m not exactly getting any action over here, so I don’t have any condoms,” he says into your kiss, voice no louder than a whisper.
“That’s okay,” you run your fingers through his hair. “Wanna feel you anyways, all of you.”
”Fuck, Y/N, you can kill a man with those words.” He groans, nails digging into your hips. You giggle, but it’s interrupted by him sitting you fully, his dick slipping through your lower lips. A whine brushes his ear when the tip catches your clit, repeating the movement until you can’t stay still.
The closest you’ll ever get to Heaven on earth is Yunho’s cock pushing inside of you, filling you up so deliciously you think you could die like this. Your jaw slackens, hands coming up to support yourself on his shoulders. Even if this is a one time thing, something that never happens again during your stay at the farm, he wants you to remember this when you go back home. He wants you to recall this sliver in your timeline and never forget it, wants his name engraved in your memory like a branding iron.
Once he feels you’ve adjusted to him well enough, he pulls you off of him almost entirely, just to ram back in without mercy. He punches a voluminous moan from you, eyes watching where he disappears in you and reemerges. You’re tighter and so much warmer than he dreamed you’d be, but it’s perfect. You suck him in like a vacuum, as if his cock was made to be inside of you, as if you didn’t want him to part from you.
“You’re s-so deep, Yun,” you mewl, pulling him in for another headache-inducing kiss. “Don’t wanna stop.”
He exhales through his nostrils, mumbling out a curse when your walls squeeze around him. He wanted to last a while for you, wanted to hold out and prolong this moment until you were both on the crest of passing out. But you feel like a glove, your silk-adjacent cunt begging for more and more.
“Think I might cum soon, princess,” he groans, tossing his head back and just about losing every ounce of his sanity when your lips start marking the column of his throat.
His big hands move under your thighs, holding you in place so he can fuck up into you. The pace at which his cock drills in and out of your pussy has you seeing stars, eyes snapping shut and nothing but colorful spots decorating your vision. You were already abhorrently sensitive following your first orgasm, so it didn’t really take much to introduce the second.
Your hips stutter and it washes over you like a tidal wave, your body shuddering and collapsing into his top half. He pulls out of you quickly, mouth stationed by your ear as he jerks himself off until he’s painting your backside. He moans, a lot like the sounds he was making the other night, and you feel the need to just kiss him again.
Your lips lock sweetly, a stark contrast to your previous actions. Yunho curves a hand on your cheek, seperating from you the smallest distance so he can admire you. The smile that etches onto his expression makes you dizzier than anything else. However, the cutesiness can only span so long before the setting gives way.
Yunho’s hand snakes in between you, his forefinger sliding up and down your slit teasingly. Your breath comes out shaky, your face finding purchase in the crook of his neck. He replaces the digit with his middle finger, parting your pussy lips in search of your clit. It doesn’t take him very long to find it, rubbing tight circles into the engorged skin. You moan into his shoulder, resting your forehead on it to see the way he works your cunt.
“You’re so wet, baby. Have I not fucked you enough?” He whispers into your ear huskily. Yunho talking dirty to you is something you didn’t know you needed in your life. His finger slips downward, thrusting up into your hole with ease. He keeps massaging your clit with his palm, the stimulation making your head woozy.
“Mmmph— Yun, god. Feels too good.” You whine, gyrating your hips on his hand.
“Is that right, babe?” He encourages, adding a second finger and increasing the speed of their thrusts, almost like you hadn’t been in this position already. “I can’t wait to feel this tight little pussy around my cock again. Gonna fuck you harder than the last.”
Your whimpers raise in volume, focusing on the way he curls his digits in you, applying pressure with the heel of his palm to the circles he’s rubbing into your clit. You can sense your third orgasm approaching, warmth flooding your cheeks at how embarrassingly fast he worked you back up. Your walls clench around his fingers, alerting him of how close you are. He pauses, worming his body down so his face is eye level with your cunt again.
Yunho does the whole teasing thing a second time, kissing and suckling the hot skin of your belly, knowingly denying you of your release. You grab a handful of his hair, tugging at the ends to spur him on. He groans, giving into you and licking a straight line up your slit. He inserts both fingers again, this time using his tongue to manipulate your swollen clit.
The heat of Yunho’s mouth makes your insides ache, the necessity to cum intensifying. You keen loudly, desperately, needily, the sight of the brunette between your legs so incredibly arousing. He sucks on your throbbing clit, his long fingers as deep as they can go, and you crumble.
“Oh my god— oh my god— I’m cumming! I’m—” You cut yourself off, convulsing under him. He laps up as much of your juices as he can, coating his chin with your release. You moan as you pull him towards you to unify your lips, a mixture of your saliva and cum connect your mouths in strings. At this point, the sex is messier than anything you could’ve plucked from your wildest dreams.
One hand trails down your body, using your nimble fingers to play with your sensitive clit when he starts fisting his cock in preparation to enter your pussy again. You use your free hand to scratch at his contracting abs. He hisses, propping himself up with one arm next to your head and his eyes trained on the way you finger yourself at the same time. You can feel his breath on your cheeks and being in this proximity to him fuels your yearning.
“Please, Yun… Need you back inside of me,” you whimper. Rubbing your clit with your own fingers isn’t satisfying enough, not with him here in front of you, not when you know how good he can make you feel.
“Fuck, baby, when you beg like that I don’t know if I can hold back.” He chuckles lowly. It rumbles from his chest, shooting to your core.
“So don’t,” you rouse. “This is more than just a one time thing for me, Yunho.”
His eyes widen just a bit, your confession catching him off guard. That’s all he needs to line himself up with your hole, hooking his forearm under your knee as he slides in, stretching your cunt so perfectly with his perfect cock. “Shit— you’re so tight, princess… It’s almost like I didn’t just fuck you within an inch of your life.” He moans and spreads your legs wider. He bottoms out with a grunt, throwing his head back from the feeling of your velvety walls. A near deafening cry is ripped from your vocal cords. He nips at your neck, starting to piston his hips.
His thrusts don’t slow but become calculated, speeding up and diving deep simultaneously. It only took a short amount of time to figure out what you liked and he used it to his advantage. Yunho hikes your knee to your chest, groping your tits with his free hand. He twists and tugs at your nipples just hard enough that it contributes to your pleasure rather than hurts you.
It’s as if he doesn’t feel buried inside of you sufficiently, because he decreases his pace to press and fold your other leg up, his hips ramming into your ass with each thrust now. The tip of his cock kisses at what feels like your cervix. That familiar coil begins to fasten again, keening with every drive into your cunt. The squelching noises would’ve made you cower in shame with anyone else, but with Yunho it turns you on further.
You moan, and he flattens his hand on the lower part of your stomach. Yunho groans, biting the skin where your shoulder meets your neck. Your fingers find your clit again, circling insatiably to get yourself off.
“You gonna cum for me again?” He rasps, his hold on your legs almost painful. The backs of your thighs burn, but you endure it for the sake of the moment. You reach up and behind yourself, grabbing at the headboard in an attempt to match his force.
“Oh my god, yes— yes yes yes yes,” you babble, the syllables blurring together like your mind. “Gonna cum so hard for you, Yunho. Keep going, please.”
His lips attach to yours, tongues tangling sloppily. The position you’re in is on the opposite end of the spectrum from how you were expecting this summer reunion to go. Had you not been made aware of Yunho living here at the last minute, you probably would’ve backed out of your commitment to staying. Deep down you’re a little too thankful that your grandmother mentioned him when it was too late to reconsider.
“I think I’m in love with you, Y/N,” Yunho whispers into your mouth.
You let go of the headboard, cupping his jaw and kissing him lovingly. “Me too.”
Your fingers speed up and so do his thrusts, perfectly timed with each other to shove you both towards your highs. You’re on the cusp of falling apart, arching into him to close the gap between your bodies.
“Wanna cum inside you. Can I?” Yunho grunts.
“Yes yes, please. Fill me up, Yun, want all of you.”
He continues to abuse your cunt, pounding into you like his life depended on it. You sob, clamping your walls around him. He freezes, suddenly spilling into you. “Come on, baby, cum on my cock.” The warmth of his release and his words coax your orgasm, the fluttering of your cunt milking every single drop from him that it can. Even with his dick plugging you up, you can feel it dripping out of you and onto the sheets below.
He rocks into you languidly until you’ve calmed down enough for him to pull out. His forehead is flush on your chest, rising and falling with it, both of you so spent from the intense physical activity you engaged in. You stare up at the ceiling with heavy eyelids, carding your fingers through his hair to soothe him.
“You meant what you said right? About this not being a one time thing.” Yunho says hesitantly, like he’s afraid of permeating the atmosphere you created.
“I don’t think I can go home at the end of the summer and forget the way I feel for you, Yunho.” You admit out loud. There had been a constant struggle in your head over whether or not to follow your heart, but as he looks at you with those sparkly eyes of his, you know your answer. And you feel a little stupid for ever considering the counter.
“And what exactly are those feelings?” He pushes, folding his hands on your sternum and laying his cheek on top. You giggle, brushing his hair out of his view. As tempting as it was to divulge your theatrical journey in assessing your emotions, you’re too exhausted to stay awake. It would have to wait for another day.
“You have the rest of the summer to find out, cowboy.”

Sure, it used to be a magical time full of happiness and love, but she let that belief go years ago. Christmas is all about how much money you spend on someone and making yourself look good to outsiders. Snow is wet and everything is cold during this time of year; makes everything gross. The Cat and Dog Game [Chapter 30]
Tumblr media
Genre: Romance, Fluff, Comedy
Pairing: Yunho x Reader (y/n)
Characters: Chef!Reader, RestaurantOwner!Yunho, MaitreD!Hongjoong, Waiter!Yeosang, Waiter!San, Waiter!Mingi, SousChef!Seonghwa, SousChef!Wooyoung, PrepChef!Jongho
Summary: Yunho's dream was to open and run his own restaurant. But he doesn't know anything when it comes to cooking. Until you came along and accepted the job, bringing with you a small crew. How will the black cat tame the energetic golden retriever?
Word count: 3.2K
"Uncle Junghyun? What are you doing here?" You blinked in surprise, seeing the older male. The male looked up at you, standing up and hugging you. It took you a while to process that he was actually here before you hugged him back.
"You probably thought I was your dad, huh?" He elbowed you teasingly. You rolled your eyes.
"Dad will not come here without making a scene. Plus, he doesn't have the patience like yours to sit here and wait for me to be done with the morning shift." You scoffed.
"I hope you've had a snack." You raised an eyebrow as you took the seat across the table from him.
"Of course. I got a jam pastry. I knew you were the one who made it. And might I say, it is delicious." He chuckled.
"How did you know I made it?"
"It was one of your mother's favourite pastries. Of course, you would have her recipe in making it." He said. This brought you back to the conversation you had with your father last night.
"So, what did the old man do to make you leave without a goodbye last night?" He asked as you took the seat across the table.
"It's nothing. He just... was being dad... You know how he is." You looked away. How could you bring it up? There was nothing to bring up except for the fact that your father was bad in dealing with situations and that it was the first time you were hearing there were rumours you weren't your father's biological child.
"Hmm, secretive as ever." He smirked.
"Not that, I just don't think it's worth wasting time over. Every time I'm with him, we argue and fight. It's the same old story, we get under each other's skin." You sighed.
"I get it. Alright, let's talk about something else then." He said, eyes shifting to look at something else. You tilted your head in confusion.
"The tall one at the cashier, he's the one?" He asked, sipping the remainder of his coffee.
"How'd you know?" Your eyes widened, turning around to see Yunho standing by the counter. He was a bad actor, it was obviously he was trying to busy himself with something else.
"He was oddly defensive when I said I was a family member looking for you. And when I sat here, he kept glancing over with a mix of worry and curiosity. I have to say, he isn't very subtle with his spying." Your uncle chuckled.
"Uncle..."
"Don't worry, I won't mention him to your dad. Besides, your dad and I aren't as close as you think anymore." He said.
Yunho watched curiously. Seeing your relaxed form as you spoke to the man, he figured that he wasn't your father. After finishing the dinner preparation, Seonghwa came out.
"Oh, it's uncle Junghyun." He sighed in relief.
"That's her uncle?" Yunho turned to the oldest. Seonghwa nodded his head.
"Not blood related. But he's close with her dad, known each other since they were kids. They've been business partners since forever so (y/n) grew up seeing him often." Seonghwa explained.
"Oh, no wonder he's dressed so... nicely? I'm just glad that isn't her father or I may have to escort him out of here." Yunho tilted his head as he tried to describe the way your uncle was dressed. Seonghwa laughed and nodded his head in agreement. Suddenly, you stood up and waved Yunho over.
"Me?" He pointed at himself, surely you meant Seonghwa. But you nodded in confirmation and Yunho headed over.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Jeong Yunho." He was quick to introduce himself without you saying anything, giving a deep, respectfuly bow as he held the man's hand with two hands.
"Relax, son. I'm Junghyun, (y/n)'s uncle." Junghyun chuckled.
"Right, since he introduced himself already. Yes, boyfriend, uncle." You gestured to each other.
Yunho's eyes widened and his ears turned bright red, this was the first time you directly called him the title of 'boyfriend' and it was to introduce him to someone else.
"Are you okay?" You turned to him, seeing him frozen.
"Y-Yeah." He rubbed the back of his neck. Junghyun let out an amused chuckle at Yunho's behaviour. Upon checking his watch, he stood up.
"I'll see you around, kiddo. Treat your boyfriend well." He hugged you, patting your head.
"I do treat him well. And every time you say you'll see me around, you never come visit. Then you suddenly appear like 2 years later. " You rolled your eyes but both males with you could tell that you were seriously disappointed.
"I'll try my best to come back more. But you're good on your own, I'm sure Yunho here will be of better support to you than I am." He gave you a fatherly smile.
"Yes, I'll always be with her." Yunho promised.
"That's not the point and you know it..." You mumbled. Junghyun smiled and cast a wave to Seonghwa before leaving.
With that, you and Yunho went to the kitchen to have more privacy. You were scheduled to leave to rest for the afternoon and Seonghwa was waiting for you to drive you home.
"I'll call you." Yunho said, hugging you in the locker room. You nodded and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
"Rest up." You squeezed his hand before taking your things and leaving with Seonghwa.
"Nap time!" You declared, making Seonghwa wince at your shout. He rolled his eyes and drove back to your house. You didn't expect Jongho and Wooyoung to be there. But now that you thought about it, it had been a while since they've been over. Even if it was only for a few hours.
You showered in your own shower, which Jongho used after. He snuck in, leaving Seonghwa and Wooyoung to argue over who uses the guest bathroom first.
"I won~" Wooyoung said as he dove under the covers beside you, knowing he was taking Seonghwa's spot.
"Who is this?" He lifted the stuffed toy.
"That's Yuyu, the golden retriever..." You coughed as you ended your sentence, looking away in slight embarrassment. While Wooyoung snickered, you snatched Yuyu and Yunnie away from him.
"Go sleep in the guest room." You rolled your eyes. Wooyoung shook his head like a small child.
"I highly doubt Seonghwa hyung will let you take his spot." Jongho said as he emerged from the bathroom, drying his hair.
"He snoozes, he loses." Wooyoung stuck his tongue out childishly. As if he heard the whole conversation, Seonghwa appeared at the door way with an eyebrow raised. He silently challenged Wooyoung. No one takes his spot.
"You can sleep on her other side." Wooyoung protested.
"Goodnight." Jongho patted your head and went to the guestroom, not wanting to waste time hearing Wooyoung whine to Seonghwa. He just wanted to sleep.
"You sleep on her other side. Better yet, sleep in the other room." Seonghwa said, grabbing Wooyoung's calf and pulling him out of bed.
"Yah~" Wooyoung whined from his spot on the floor. But Seonghwa couldn't care less, getting under the covers and fluffing his pillow.
"There's space in the guest room and the couch. Why do you guys insist on squeezing here?" You chuckled.
"I've been here since the start. I don't know about him." Seonghwa nodded over to Wooyoung. But Wooyoung was determined, he went to your other side, making you scooch to the middle of the bed, all the while holding Yuyu and Yunnie in your arms. He grinned and snuggled into your back.
"Set an alarm, please." You said to Seonghwa before closing your eyes to sleep.
But after sleeping in the middle of them, you couldn't stretch properly so you grabbed the two stuffed animals with you and retreated to the guest room to sleep with Jongho.
"Took you long enough." Jongho mumbled.
"Had to wait for them to fall asleep, didn't even flinch when I got up..." You murmured back.
"Mmm, get some rest." He patted your hip before pulling the blanket up to cover your properly and going back to sleep as well. You hummed, slowly falling asleep.
By the time you woke up, you had time to have a call with Yunho. You couldn't stay asleep long so you spent whatever time you had alone talking to him. Of course, you insisted that Yunho should use the time to sleep but he'd much rather talk to you.
"I'm fine, Yunho. I am glad that you got to meet my uncle Junghyun though, and vice versa. He's such a father figure in my life." You said to him, pacing up and down with the phone pressed to your ear.
"I'm glad I got to meet him too. He seems nice and really cares for you. You grew up with him?"
"I did. He was always around when I was younger, knew the whole family. He would let me get away with a lot more than my dad." You chuckled.
"But he doesn't stay in Korea?"
"Yeah, he travels a lot since he decided to settle down in that sort of business. Always meeting clients." You said.
"So he doesn't work with your father anymore? He seemed to not speak well of your father too, even if they are best friends."
"They don't work together anymore but I guess they're still friends. I don't know how he ever put up with my father... That's what I fought with my father at the gala the other night. He was being all accusatory towards my uncle. I guess that's why he stayed away and doesn't visit as often." You sighed.
"I'm sorry, (y/n). I can tell that you were really close with your uncle. No matter what, your father shouldn't have let his own feelings break that bond you had..."
"It is what it is. Uncle Junghyun never addressed it to me either so I have no choice but to let it go." You sat down on the couch.
"I know it's easier said than done."
"Yeah. Are you sure you don't want to get some sleep, Yunho? You clocked in early with me this morning. Even if you don't want to sleep, I hope you're lying down." You said.
"Don't worry about me, (y/n). Remeber, I have infinite golden retriever energy? But just so you don't fret, I am lying down now."
"That's good." You smiled to yourself. You could just imagine the big grin on his face.
"I know this is coming up all of a sudden but I realised you have not visited my place before. Would you like to stay over tomorrow night? After work. We can go in for tomorrow's morning on Monday then go for a date after."
"Wow, an invite to stay over already? That's fast and I haven't even seen the place yet." You teased him. As expected, Yunho grew flustered, stuttering nervously.
"Y-You don't have to! I-I know we just established things... s-so we can just... not..."
"I'm kidding, Yunho. Sure, I'd love to stay over if you would have me. You sound like you have a date planned already?" You laughed.
"You're always teasing me and making fun of me... But yes, I did already plan a date but it's a surprise. I'm making the reservations now as we speak."
"Can't wait." You smiled, knowing he was probably pouting on the other side as your tease.
"Me too. I'll see you tonight?"
"Yeah. I'll see you later. Goodbye, Yunho." You wished and hung up. Seonghwa came out, half asleep. His eyes fell on you and a small smile appeared on his face as he shuffled over, laying his head in your lap while his legs stretched over the arm rest. Your fingers raked through his hair, making him yawn.
"When did you move to Jongho's bed?" He asked sleepily.
"Shortly after you and Wooyoung fell asleep. You two were smothering me. My bed isn't that big, you know?" You scoffed, while typing on your phone.
"Were you talking to Yunho on the phone?" He asked another question. You hummed in reply.
"I couldn't stay asleep. Plus, I told him he could call me. I told him a little about uncle Junghyun and my dad." You informed.
"How did that go?" He closed his eyes to snooze for a little longer but was still listening to you. You paused for a second, your hand stopping on his temple.
"It was okay. He was accepting, of course. Patient... He listened... Understood me... Didn't push me to share more when I stopped." You tried to piece your thoughts together. You felt Seonghwa nod against your thigh.
"Is it normal? Not the fear but... some daunting feeling." You asked with a soft sigh.
"Oh, sweetheart. It's completely normal." Seonghwa said, his hand resting on your knee, his thumb caressing the skin softly.
"Done with the bathroom, hyung. You can go get ready." Wooyoung yawned as he came out, dressed in his outside clothes for the night. Jongho came out too, dressed and ready.
"Oh, that reminds me. I need to get some sourdough starter for the fish tonight." You went to the kitchen. Jongho helped you pack what you needed.
"Anything else we need?" Wooyoung asked.
"Can you get a pack of cloth gloves? They should be in the store. We need to prepare the sea urchin for our pasta sauce." You instructed.
While waiting for Seonghwa to come out, you went to change, leaving Jongho and Wooyoung to pack anything else you might need to cook for the dinner service. After that, you poured cold coffees for all 3 of you, setting aside a strawberry yoghurt drink for Seonghwa, his favourite.
"Alright, let's go." Seonghwa and you came out of the room. You rode with Wooyoung while Jongho and Seonghwa rode together. You sent Yunho a text, letting him know you just arrived for dinner prep.
"Texting the boyfriend?" Wooyoung asked.
"Shut up..." You mumbled, locking your phone and tucking it into your pocket. You both unloaded the items and brought them into the kitchen.
"Let's get started team." You said to the 4 and began immediately. As always, you had your written list pinned on the wall.
"Who is starting the stifado (Greek beef stew with red wine, tomatoes and pearl onions)?" You asked. Jongho raised his hand.
"I'll need someone on the live station for the sea urchin pasta later." You called out. Seonghwa raised his hand, taking responsibility for the pasta that will be cooked to order. It was bucatini, tossed in a sea urchin sauce with salted pollack roe and gochujang oil.
"Starting on the braised pork shoulder!" Wooyoung informed without you needing to ask who was going to do it.
His dish was a wine and pomegranate molasses braised pork shoulder, cooked with sweet potatoes, chestnuts and carrots. It will be sliced and served with the reduced braising liquid.
"Since I'll be on live station, let me start on dessert and let that rest." Seonghwa said.
"I will be doing the fish dish for today." You said, going to the kitchen to get the tomatoes for your sauce.
Your dish was a thin layer of sourdough starter as the coating around the fish fillets, lightly pan frying it and finishing with butter. Serving that with charred red bell peppers and a crushed tomato sauce.
"So, you're not going to pane the fish?" Seonghwa asked.
"Not exactly. My plan is to dip it into the starter like a wet batter but keep it thin. I just want a slight texture, nothing too crunchy like breadcrumbs. And I want that tangy flavour to come through." You said, crushing the tomatoes with your hands in a bowl for the sauce that you were making.
[A/N: I actually had a dish like this the other day and it was so good. I knew I had to put it in here.]
"While that is going, I'm going to start filleting my fish." You cleared your station and set up the area. You grabbed your filleting knife and kept the bin nearby to keep it as clean as possible.
"My stew is simmering. Can I help?" Jongho came over. You nodded and he set up beside you.
"Bones in here. I'm gonna keep them for a stock." You informed.
"Sure." He hummed and began filleting the fishes with you. You all worked on your own tasks, helping each other whenever there was an available window.
"Good evening." You were so focused on plating up the first sample of your dish that you didn't hear Yunho come in.
"She's in the zone. She can't hear you." Seonghwa said to Yunho.
"It's alright. I won't bother her then." The taller male smiled, nodding his head understandingly. He proceeded out to the front, he could always say hi to you later. He didn't want to take your attention away or break your focus.
"Yunho? Sorry, I didn't notice you came in." You sighed as you came out. Yunho turned around, a smile appearing on his face as he saw you approach him.
"Mm-mm, don't apologise." He wrapped his arms around you, engulfing you in a big puppy hug.
"Did you rest?" You asked, words muffled with the way you were pressed against his shoulder. He nodded with a hum.
"I hope you did too." He kissed your head while you tip toed to place a peck on his cheek. Yunho was grinning so much that his cheeks were starting to hurt, but he didn't care.
"Want to try my dish for tonight?" You looked at him. He nodded excitedly and followed you into the kitchen.
"Aww." Wooyoung cooed as the two of you, making Jongho elbow his ribs.
"Here. It's a fish dish." You explained, pushing the plate towards Yunho. He took a fork and broke a piece of fish, eating it with the roasted red bell pepper and tomato sauce. You watched his expressions intently. It wasn't important for Yunho to like it, you just wanted his honest comments.
"It's good. I like it, it's not too greasy and the outside coating is thin but adds a crunch. The sauce is very nice and bright." Yunho smiled. You smiled and nodded.
"Glad you like it. Thanks, Yunho." You said.
"I'm taking this with me." He grabbed the plate to bring it to the front to finish the remaining food. You laughed, shaking your head.
"Good evening." The other boys showed up. Mingi did the staff meal for dinner. Hearing that, Yunho volunteered to help him. Of course, he denied that he was doing it just to be around you.
"Yah! Yah! You're putting too much gochugaru!" Mingi called Yunho, whose hand froze over the pot.
"Oh, oops." Yunho blushed, putting the hot pepper flakes down.
"Stop staring at (y/n) and focus, man." Mingi rolled his eyes. Hearing Mingi's words, you felt your cheeks heat up too. You cleared your throat and continued what you were doing. Yunho knew you heard Mingi's words, exposing his actions.
"Shut up, Mingi." Yunho hissed. Mingi snickered and continued cutting the vegetables to put into the soup.

Your husband is devoted.
Devoted to loving you, and in helping you in any way he can.
Years ago when he first realized that he was falling in love with you, he vowed to himself that he will marry you and take good care of you for life.
Jeong Yunho is a man of his words.
The first two years of your marriage, you decided to spend traveling around the world, making the most out of your honeymoon; spending more, and more, and more leisure time with just each other. With Yunho being everything but boring, every trip guaranteed a fun time. You traveled to at least thirty two countries, splurging on food and service from the locals of your destinations until you have used up all the budget that you had set aside for that particular phase of the marriage.
Another couple of years later, you came to another decision.
You both finally decided that you wanted to start a family of your own.
It took several tries, baffling you how hard it was to get pregnant when you’re actually trying for it, but after a while, it all eventually came through.
Thank the heavens for giving you an amazing husband, because pregnancy is hell.
Even with all crazy cravings, ridiculous mood swings, body aches, and random anger bursts, Yunho made sure to not just see you through, but be with you through it all.
He was your pillar. He studied and did everything he can do to help you through your pregnancy and never complained. He made sure to take good care of you, be gentle with you, and just continue to show his love for you through it all. He made you feel safe, and not once did he ever panic, even when your water broke in the middle of the grocery store and people were staring like crazy everywhere. Yunho prepared himself for it all.
And although everything seemed to be a little bit hazy and vague during that day— that very moment— you still couldn’t forget the first time Yunho held your little bundle of joy in his arms.
“Jeong Yunhee,” Yunho coos, his voice slightly cracking as his doe eyes begin to glisten with tears. “My lovely little girl...” He gulps; a poor attempt to hide the tremble underneath his voice as he listens to the cries of his newborn baby.
The lovestruck look on his face will forever be imprinted on your mind, for you have never felt any happier seeing how much Yunho adored your baby girl. You knew, right then and there, that he will be a great parent to her, just like how he’s an amazing husband to you.
That stayed true even when, admittedly, the first months of parenthood were… rather agonizing and draining.
Thankfully, angels in the guise of mothers came to the rescue, coming over as frequently as they can to help you and Yunho with Yunhee. Sometimes they took turns, sometimes they came over together, but it was safe to say that they were always there to teach the two of you what you needed to know. And although you knew that the two of you were still lacking as newbie parents, you were both determined to learn and improve for your little girl.
Here you are today, waking from your shallow slumber for the sixth time tonight, your eyes barely fluttering open from the lack of sleep. Yunhee’s cries echo inside the room, not even a slight hint of light peeking from the curtains. It must not have been long since you last put her back to sleep.
It takes you a few seconds to compose yourself, but it’s only when you’re shuffling to sit that you make out a figure of a man picking your baby up from the little crib.
You move your arms to sit up, the space beside you warm although empty.
“Yunhee,” Yunho coos, voice raspy and thick from being drowsy as he takes his little one into his arms. “Sshh, it’s okay, baby. You’ve tired mama out big time today and she needs rest, but don’t worry, papa’s here. Be a good girl and go back to sleep, hm?”
Yunho sways Yunhee back into a slumber, humming to a lullaby.
A tired smile creeps onto your lips, though you try your best to get up from the bed as quietly as you can, tiptoeing over to them and snaking your arms around your husband’s waist. Placing a soft kiss onto his shoulder blade, you rest your head on top of his arm and adore your bundle of joy as her eyes begin to flutter close with the sound of Yunho’s soft humming.
“She’s really a mini you,” you whisper, turning your head to smile at Yunho. Your faces are just millimeters away, so it’s hard to miss the smitten look he gives you— so soft and loving that you think he’s about to burst into tears right then and there again. As you give him a smile and his arm a reassuring squeeze, he leans over to place a soft, chaste kiss on your lips.
“Thank you for giving me this beautiful family,” He whispers, “It’s really all that I ever need and I’ve ever dreamed of.”
Feeling hot tears pool at the corner of your eyes, you tighten your hug around him and nuzzle your cheek into his bicep, staring fondly at the little girl sound asleep in his arms.
There wasn’t a day that Yunho wasn’t around to both help you and take care of you. He has been there since day one, and his dedication to your little family was just everything you needed to push through all the sleepless nights, and fearlessly look forward to whatever may come in the future.
Commitment builds a home.
Tumblr media
Yunho is the type of husband who dreams big for his little family.
It’s something that isn’t really new to people, especially the ones you both know, simply because he had been a big dreamer ever since. Everybody knows Yunho to be the type of person who will do anything in his power to not let his dreams just be dreams.
On top of all that, he will most certainly do anything— heck, everything, if he could— for the people he loves.
“—and then a veeery large garden with plenty of chicken!” His voice echoes from the veranda, Yunhee perched onto his lap.
For a while, it’s silent, and you begin to suspect that he might have caused some sort of trouble again (you’ve grown to accept the fact that your husband is crazy, and it isn’t really that hard to believe), and also because it’s a given that he can be a total klutz sometimes. Your suspicion grows stronger by the growing second, but when you turn around, all you see is your husband and daughter looking at each other with expectant eyes.
“K-k—”
Yunhee’s eyebrows begin to furrow, lips pouting as she makes sounds with her lips. Realizing what she’s trying to do, Yunho’s eyes grow even wider, his mouth opening along, as if it would help his daughter get the word out of her mouth.
“K-k—ken!”
She finally yells along with a raise of her arms. The glow in Yunho’s eyes visibly brightens, and he stands to screech and laugh, putting his hands under Yunhee’s armpits to hoist her up happily.
“Chicken!” Yunho repeats, happily nuzzling his nose against hers.
“—papa, ken!” Yunhee laughs and claps her hands.
“Oh, you want papa to be a chicken?”
Yunho doesn’t miss a beat and quickly goes into character, carefully placing Yunhee on the baby chair before squatting and isolating his neck to imitate that of a chicken. Yunhee bursts into a fit of giggles, which does absolutely nothing but spur Yunho on.
From afar, you let out a snort at the scene, shutting the faucet off with an amused look on your face. “Yun, stop scaring the child.”
Carefully, you begin rolling the hose, tidying up as quick as you can to be able to join in on the father-daughter moment.
“Yunnie isn’t scared,” Yunho says with glee, “Look at her, she looks so happy! Right, baby?” He coos, and without missing a beat, Yunhee replies with a little shriek. It goes without saying that Jeong Yunhee is basically an entire duplicate of Yunho— a huge, lovely, ball of sunshine with the prettiest smile— along with the fact that she picks up on things fast whenever he’s the one who teaches her.
Oh, he’s definitely going to have to bear the stress of teaching mathematics later on.
“Don’t you think it’s weird that the third word she literally learns to say is chicken? Normally, children would say… I don’t know, maybe grandma, or something.”
“Well, I think you know better than to think that our family is normal,” Yunho says with a smile, and you only give him a mere shrug, because he’s right.
When it comes to you and Yunho, there’s absolutely nothing normal. Your likes, your vibe, your type of fun… how much more your own child?
With a jump in your stride, you join Yunho and Yunhee on the veranda’s steps, immediately holding your hand out to lift her.
“Hi, baby,” You purse your lips and press your nose to her fluffy cheek— which, of course, she got from her father— inhaling her scent before placing little kisses on her skin with your nose. She giggles at the feeling, hands flailing around to try and search for something to hold on to.
Eventually, her grubby little hands find your cheeks, squishing them like you’d always do to hers. She squishes them once, twice, thrice… and then pauses to look up and meet your eyes. When she sees your brows cock up in curiosity, she smiles— imitating the very look on Yunho’s face when he’s up to no good— but to your surprise…
Yunhee concentrates on your chin, leaning in slowly before carefully placing a quick kiss on it. She even says a little “mwah” as she does it, right before looking you in the eye and giggling aimlessly, as if she didn’t just do the cutest thing in the world.
Both yours and Yunho’s eyes are wide open, and you look at him with a tear-clad gaze— the byproduct of holding your giddiness in— afraid you’ll startle Yunhee if you decide to do so much as to squeal. Yunho feels his heart rise to his throat at the sight, though he blinks his tears away before scooting as close as he could and trying to grab Yunhee’s attention.
“What about me?! Yunhee, what about papa? Papa wants a kiss too, please— Yunnie, Yunnie, hey, look at papa, love— come on baby, don’t let me lose to ma—”
“She’s not even paying attention to you at all, Oh god, this is so funny— ow!” You shriek with a laugh when Yunho aggressively shakes his head while playfully thrusting and nuzzling it into the crook of your neck, his way of silencing you because he never accepts defeat.
Laughter and shrieks fill the space for a long while, and when the excitement begins to die down, Yunho decides to rest his head on top of your shoulder; one arm around your waist and hooked on your arm— the other playing with Yunhee’s hair, who’s lying snugly in your embrace. As you sit down together and admire the sunset hues, Yunho couldn’t help but sigh in bliss.
“Someday, we’ll be able to buy our own farm and build that modernized nipa hut we saw on Pinterest. Then, I’ll ask San to send us some pigs and cows and help us plant veggies and fruits...” He mumbles, fingers rubbing circles on your skin.
“And then we’ll spend our weekends and summers there, and on the weekdays, send our little Yunhee to school, pack her lunch up and fetch her from school with our dream car every afternoon.”
You turn your head and look at him, so Yunho raises his head and rests his chin on top of your shoulder to face you closely as well. You don’t miss the way his gaze flickers between your lips and eyes, so you place a loving peck on his cupid’s bow. “Then papa will teach her how to dance when she’s older.”
Yunho breaks into a grin.
“Then we’ll go to Everland and Lotte world often to bond, or even have some out of town or out of the country travels for leisure,” He sits up to narrow his eyes at the two of you, fingers forming into L’s as if to angle you and Yunhee together. “And papa will buy anything that his girls would want to have.”
You chuckle, shifting Yunhee in your arms and pointing at Yunho.
“Nini, tell papa he won’t be the only one doing that because we’ll buy him everything he wants too.” You say in a determined voice, making Yunhee screech, and then say the new word she’s been obsessing with by far—
“—ken!” She yells, arms flailing around as she laughs.
This time, Yunho really couldn’t help but clutch his chest, taking a moment to collect himself before saying,
“Little Yunhee wants a chicken, she’ll get a chicken!”
So, he goes back to doing his neck isolation, but with bent legs and flapping elbows this time, along with the request that Yunhee should give him a kiss in exchange for doing this one.
Dreams build a home.
Tumblr media
Yunho is the type of husband who values honesty.
Whenever there’s something that troubles or worries him, he will always talk to you about it, even if it may become the source of a potential argument for the both of you. You’ve agreed that opening up and arguing would be better than lying at the cost of your relationship, or potentially risking miscommunication and hard feelings.
You’re reading Yunhee a bedtime story when the door to her bedroom creaks open, and you’re met with Yunho’s figure by the door, his gaze softening at the sight of the two of you huddled together in your pajamas.
“Papa!” Yunhee whisper-yells, carried away by the silence of the home, though her eyes are gleaming as she watches Yunho slip inside the room. He shuffles around the bed quietly before bending to place kisses on yours and Yunhee’s foreheads.
“You’re home early, Yun…?” The question falls out of your lips, and it’s a question because Wooyoung’s grand bachelor party shouldn’t have ended within a day. You know that they should be out for at least two to three days, as per what Wooyoung had explained to you weeks prior.
Yunho hums, looking up from stroking Yunhee’s hair.
“Can we talk?”
“Mm. Just let me finish this and tuck her to bed, okay?” Yunho hums as a reply, giving you a tired smile before kissing Yunhee’s forehead one more time, placing a peck on your lips, and then heading out to your shared bedroom.
By the time the story ends, Yunhee is already fast asleep, and you place a quick kiss onto her cheeks before switching the lamp off and tiptoeing to the main bedroom. Upon arriving, you immediately get a whiff of Yunho’s familiar scent, and you find him on the bed, all washed up and changed into comfortable clothes.
“Baby?”
You shut the door behind you carefully. Upon hearing your voice, Yunho peeks at you from under his arm, lifting his elbow to take a glance at you.
“Tucked Yunhee to bed?”
He sits up, sitting cross-legged onto your bed as you hum. Carefully, you sit across him, mirroring his position, although your hands are reaching over to fix his messy shirt out of habit.
“What is it that you wanted to talk about?” You ask in a hushed voice, a little daunted by what’s to come. You and Yunho usually have lots of pillow talks, but you do it while lying down or cuddling, so to be actually sitting up to talk means that Yunho means serious business.
You breathe, brows starting to furrow when Yunho begins poking his tongue against his cheek. Your thumb begins rubbing circles on the back of his palm to calm him, but it seems like you’re doing it for yourself more than for him.
“Is something wrong, love?”
Yunho scoots closer to you.
“Somebody will be texting you in…” He takes a glance at the wall clock, “Like, maybe five minutes.”
“What? Why?”
“And I need you to tell her off,” Yunho finishes, staring at you dead in the eye. “Like, really tell her off. I don’t care how you do it.”
You pull your hand away, “Jeong Yunho, what the hell is happening?”
Yunho heaves a breath before he finally slouches, as if surrendering to his own self— against whatever debates and internal monologues he was having.
“So… we were celebrating Wooyoung’s bachelor party a while ago, right? There were... a lot of girls.”
“Baby, of course, there would be a lot of girls… It’s not called a bachelor party for nothing.”
Although you and Yunho had shared that both bachelor and bachelorette parties didn’t really sit right with the both of you (hence why you never hosted those even before you got married), it was his friend’s special day, so you asked him to come to the party anyway. It’s a day dedicated to celebrating Wooyoung’s engagement, which you’re amazed with, really, because Wooyoung isn’t easy to tie down at all, but here he is... you think. He’d also very generously asked permission from you if Yunho could come, since their six other lifelong friends would be there, and it would be a great time to catch up as well.
Yunho refused and told him that they could hang out another time, but you ended up making him come anyway because… why should he not? It’s his friend’s celebration. With the amount of trust you have for him as well, there’s no need for other questions to be asked.
“No, listen carefully, okay, love? The girls… you know what they do, right? Wooyoung's party had some professional escorts. No judgment to them, it’s their job to be all over us but I mean… I get a say too, right? So I said no, keep me out of this, and while the others kept their distance when I said that I don’t want anything from them and that I’m happily married, there’s this one girl who really wouldn’t budge. Wooyoung told me she’s probably new and looking for a bigshot client who can become her regular and she had her eyes locked on me— really locked on me that she never stopped lurking around me and bothering me until the end so I—”
Yunho pauses to breathe after unconsciously rambling for so long the veins in his neck are showing.
You hold your breath.
“So, I gave her your number.”
“You what?”
“What? I didn’t want her to get mine!” Yunho argues, “She was never going to listen to me anyway so I gave her your number because I needed her to get to leave me alone and I want you to tell her off and tell her that I’m taken yourself.”
He finishes his sentence with a huff, seemingly very upset with everything that has happened. On the other hand, you’re still a little flabbergasted, trying to process everything that he has told you so far, literally two minutes into the conversation.
“Yun, you—” He cuts you off instantly by taking your face into his hands, caressing your cheeks with his thumbs lightly.
“Are you mad? God, I’m so sorry, my love. I know, I would have been upset, too. I was so stressed that I just had to come home as soon as I could and talk to you about it. Goodness, now that I’m actually thinking about it, Mingi barely stopped me from jumping off that ship and swimming back home. It was the craziest thing I ever thought of doing but I was just so vexed—”
“Yunho,” You chuckle, cutting him off this time as you take his hands from your cheeks and hold them in yours. “I’m just glad you didn’t jump and drown or fall to your death, okay?”
For a moment, Yunho’s brows are furrowed, because… did you even hear all the things he said? You seemed to be more focused on the thought of him jumping off the ship and drowning rather than all the things that involved the girl. But when you speak again, he finally understands why.
“And it’s fine, I’m not mad. I promise.”
He’s finally able to breathe properly for once today.
“Why did you even make me go to that stupid party anyway…” He mumbles sulkily, a pout gracing his lips as he lets his head fall onto the crevice of your neck and shoulder, eyes closing as he finds comfort in your warmth.
A giggle bubbles from your throat at the feeling of being amused at how Yunho had reacted to such a thing. With a smile, you shuffle into a more comfortable position by climbing onto his lap, to which he quickly adjusts to. He leans his back against the headboard, lower limbs stretched, you seated on his lap caged in his arms, and his head still in the crook of your neck. Your hands find his hair, combing through it to prolong the moment further. You feel Yunho jolt a bit as he shudders at the feeling.
“So… did Wooyoung have to turn the ship around so you can come back to land?”
Yunho smiles and nuzzles his head further onto your skin, “No, he let me borrow a yacht, but that would have been hilarious.”
There’s silence for a while, but it’s comfortable. You think Yunho may have fallen asleep at some point, until he shuffles a bit and places two quick pecks on your collarbone.
“So… this is the thing that’s been bugging you?”
Yunho pulls away for a bit and nods, his eyes looking a little misty.
“Yes. I mean, I know what bachelor parties are and I know that those girls were just doing what they were paid for but… really? Bugging a married man to death? I even made sure to boast my ring to everyone so that nobody comes after me. It’s just… I don’t know, love. Being eyed or touched by women who aren’t you... I don’t like it. Even I don't want to share myself with others.”
“Silly Yuyu,” you chuckle, and Yunho feels his heart lurch to his throat at the use of the old nickname you gave him.
“I think you ought to know, I would have only gotten disappointed if you decided to do so much as to amuse her but you didn’t, and that’s all that matters. I mean— I must admit, having many people fawning all over you every time can get a bit annoying for me sometimes too. But then again, who wouldn’t want to try to get you, you pretty, pretty man?” You chuckle, holding the sides of his face and lifting his head up to look at you properly. “I trust you enough and you never fail to show me every time that you treasure it so much. Thank you for being honest with me.”
Yunho’s shoulders visibly relax, and he’s practically just melting in your arms the more you talk to him. Your heart softens at the thought— he must have been really stressed and uncomfortable.
“I love you. I don’t and would never want anybody but you,” He murmurs, arms holding you tighter as he places kisses on your neck.
“You know that, don’t you?”
He mumbles, lips softly grazing the sensitive skin of your neck before he nuzzles his nose against it. Breath hitching high up your throat, you can only hum, feeling your breath get heavier by the second. Yunho continues leaving kisses on your skin— from your jaw down to your neck, your collarbones—
“Can I?” He asks, wide eyes looking for an answer as he holds the hem of your shirt. You nod, and without wasting any more time, Yunho pulls it off of you, leaving you in your bra.
“You still wear one at home?” He chuckles, fingers toying with the lacy material.
“Shut up, I had to double check if all the gates and doors were locked, and when I went outside, there were still a lot of people roaming around. I didn’t know you’d be coming home.”
He giggles right before nuzzling his face in the valley of your breasts.
“Hey! That tickles—”
Ping.
Both you and Yunho turn to the source of the sound; your phone gleaming brightly on the nightstand. You lift yourself briefly from Yunho’s lap to grab your phone, swiping on the notification as you settle back onto his lap.
“Oh, it seems like she texted.”
“Call her,” Yunho says, shrugging when you look at him incredulously, “It should make things easier to settle. We’re in the middle of something here, you know?”
You snort at his behavior, though you follow nonetheless. To be frank, you were also in a rush to get things over with, anyway.
It rings twice before there’s a cheery voice from the other line.
“Hello, Mr. Jeong! This is Seola from a while ago, I hope you remember me.”
“Hi, Mrs. Jeong speaking,” You reply, and Yunho purses his lips to avoid bursting into a fit of laughter, though there’s an amused look on his face.
And he thinks definitely turning insane, because hearing you tell others that you're his wife has never sounded so hot.
“Are you one of the ladies at Wooyoung’s party?”
There’s a pause from the other line before she stutters out,
“I— uh— um, yes…”
“Listen, I’m not going to make this any longer than it should be. He’s a married man, babe, there’s no point in trying to push things, and I know he tried to get his point across several times. Please, try to respect not only his boundaries but also our marriage. You made him really uncomfortable today, and it was supposed to be a happy celebration between him and his friends. In the end, he couldn’t even get to stay longer at the party and spend time with his buddies because he was too perturbed to do anything.”
Disappointment laces your voice, your mind going back to think about how lethargic and amiss Yunho looked when he opened the door to Yunhee’s bedroom.
“I’m— I’m so, so sorry, it’s just… I thought he was exaggerating by telling me that he’s married because he seemed shy. I promise you I was just trying to entertain as many clients as I can, I really needed the pay…”
You nod, almost as if she can see you talking right in front of her. “I see what you mean, but next time, I hope you’ll be more cautious, yeah? Not all people—“
You stop speaking abruptly when your breath hitches high up your throat, and it’s because your husband is suddenly kissing and sucking on the skin just above your breast without warning.
You give him a glare (that’s barely one) as if to ask him what he was doing, but he only stops nipping at your bruising skin and leaves a kiss on top of it before telling you,
“Keep talking.”
The sudden drop of his voice makes electricity run up your spine, and you’re the first to break eye contact.
“N-not all people consent to be touched so you should... you should ask f-for consent and... and respect their wishes...” You manage to stutter out, though Yunho is making it very hard to focus and breathe when his large hands are tracing patterns on the expanse of your stomach.
“Yes. I’m so sorry, Mrs. Jeong. I’ll delete this number and never bother you again. Thank you for being kind to me even after my mishap…”
Yunho begins massaging patterns just above your navel.
“Mmhm…” A hum unconsciously leaves your lips, and there’s silence for a while. You make eye contact with your very, very mischievous lover, who seems to be thriving now that he has your eyes on him— and his ministrations.
Yunho’s hand goes a bit lower.
Lower.
There’s a small squeak from the person on the other line; “Um, Mrs. Jeong? Are you oka—“
Lower.
“That— oh, yes— that’s all, I’m hanging up.”
Once you end the call and throw your phone somewhere on the bed, you grab Yunho’s cheeks with a hand and chuckle.
“You’re crazy, you know that?”
He angles his face away and threatens to bite your thumb, which you pull away with a laugh. “Hmm, I was planning to let her know just how married we are.”
“Like I said, crazy.” You roll your eyes.
Right after the words leave your lips, you’re laid onto your back, and Yunho’s hovering dangerously close above you.
“Will you let me love you, my love?” He asks, hooking your legs around his hips, leaning in closer to you and combing stray strands of hair away from your face. "Will you take what's yours?"
“Yes,” It comes out breathlessly, though you try to compose yourself before you whimper out in a jesting manner, “Please. I’ll go cuckoo on you if you don’t after what you just did.”
Yunho giggles at your little comment, though he doesn’t waste any more time. His plush lips touch the expanse of your throat, your jaw, traveling upward until he’s capturing your lips into a passionate kiss. And as the kisses grow deeper, and deeper with each passing minute, you and Yunho need not speak to know that the night is still young and that you— for the first time in a while— will get to lavish each other with endless love until the crack of dawn once more.
Communication, honesty, and faithfulness build a home.
Tumblr media
Yunho is the type of husband who will protect his loved ones no matter what it takes, no matter what it will get him into. He is somebody who isn’t afraid of anything if it means he’ll be able to defend the ones he holds dear to his heart.
You just got home from being called to the principal’s office of Yunhee’s daycare. As you place all of your things onto the table with your little one trailing guiltily behind you, you finally sigh and let your tense shoulders relax.
Yunhee’s little feet take her to the dining table, and she hoists herself up the chair without saying anything, knowing you’re still probably a bit frazzled with what the principal had told you about Yunhee’s behavior at school. As you turn to her, your frustrated orbs meet her guilty, puppy-like ones— ones she exactly got from Yunho, for sure. The tension leaves your shoulders at the sight of her.
You know your baby girl, and she does things with reason. You and Yunho raised her that way, and you’re sure you did a great job at it. All you have to do is to listen to what she has to say, because you know that what the teacher has told you isn’t the entirety of the story, especially not when she hadn’t allowed Yunhee a second to defend herself.
So you do.
You plop onto the seat right across from her in an attempt to talk.
“Before we speak, do you know where papa is?” You ask, but Yunhee only shakes her head.
And then, your neighbor comes bursting through the door.
“y/n!” he calls, panting as he tries to catch his breath. “Yunho got into a fight down the street! Go, I’ll look after Yunhee—”
You don’t even get to hear the last part of his sentence yet, and you’re already sprinting out of the house. You rush head on towards a huge, obvious, crowd of people down the street, because it could only mean one thing.
You swore you had never run past four houses in the block in less than ten seconds until today.
“Yunho!” You yell like a mantra, even from blocks away, until you’re pushing through the crowd to get to him, trying to get his attention, but to no avail. Yunho is overly focused, busying himself with tackling the man down and punching the living nuts out of him.
“Yun, stop! Please—” You gasp as soon as you get a hold of him, pulling him up from further harming the other man. It’s a flurry of yells, bruises, and blood, but you somehow manage to get Yunho back inside the house in one piece.
Yunhee grimaces as soon as he sees Yunho’s cuts and darkening bruises, although her eyes are becoming watery from sadness and worry. You give your neighbor your thanks along with a promise of pots for his new plants (he was a major gardening freak somehow even without a green thumb), but he waves it off, saying he was happy to help keep your (crazy) husband alive at least.
“Now,” You sigh just as you finish treating Yunho’s wounds, running a hand over your face in distress. He’s leaning by the kitchen counter, holding an ice pack to his lips, a visibly irked look on his face..
“What happened?”
You look over to Yunhee by the living room, who averts her gaze as soon as she sees you turning to her direction. Yunho notices this, and he turns around so that he could speak, properly facing you, without alarming Yunhee. He takes one last breath as a (poor) attempt to calm down, but successfully lowers his voice.
“We really should have listened to the other neighbors. That neighbor they all hate? God, that bastard has apparently been wanting to go after you and, fuck, I know I have such a lovely wife and I know how many people are trying to go after you out there everyday but he— he actually had the audacity to—! Heck, he asked about you, y/n, and in a way that he’s not supposed to; like a dirty fucking sicko! He asked me about you like I’m not your husband, told me about all the things he—” Yunho pauses to take a breather, chest heaving violently as he tries to control his emotions.
“And it angers me so bad because even when I have been treating him nicely— we have been treating him nicely when nobody else would; when everybody told us from the very start to treat him like an outsider and not have anything to do with him— when nobody ever showed him any kindness but us and he had the audacity to— god, I just can’t fathom the danger that he might become— good god—”
Yunho gasps and pants by the time he’s done rambling, especially because he’s whisper-yelling— making breathing pretty much harder to do. Although with the way he’s still trying to gain momentum for another perfect timing to speak, you know he’s not yet done. A spur of the moment thing, perhaps— Yunho never loses his cool when he’s in public, or not even at home, especially when Yunhee is around, but today seems like an exception. His tongue darts out to wet his lips, but he flinches when it touches his open wound.
And as much as you’re a little moved and overwhelmed, you raise a hand to stop him from speaking, seeing that his neck veins are almost popping out once more from distress. With an agitated look on his face, he understands, shaking his head in a desperate attempt to try and calm himself down.
“Okay, okay. We’ll talk about this later. I promise we will do all that we can to collect stuff on him and report him. For now, calm down, please. You might scare Nini…”
Yunho nods, shoulders finally slouching as he heaves deep breaths. He moves to get himself a cup of water, and you see a pair of misty, beady eyes looking over at you with worry, so you approach her and squat down to level with her.
“And you? What happened today, darling?”
“Well…” She fiddles with his fingers anxiously. “Sejun’s mom yelled at you and called you bad words when you scolded him for bullying me the other day. Sejun got the bad virus from his mom today and chose to call papa bad words in front of me so I got angry and punched him.”
She mumbles rather sadly, still toying with her fingers with her head ducked down. Yunho’s angry gaze softens from behind you upon hearing his own child’s words, and you promptly turn to glance at each other.
You don’t exactly know why, but you end up bursting into a fit of obnoxious laughter after a few moments of silence. Yunho soon follows, and although Yunhee is a bit puzzled by the sudden change of mood, she laughs along, anyway.
"Ow, ow, ow! My lips—!"
"Stop laughing, Yunho!"
"I can't!"
"Papa, you're going to hurt yourself even more if you continue laughing..."
"So, tell papa, Jeong Yunhee. Did you win? You better have won."
"I did! Sejun had to be sent to the infirmary."
"That's my girl!"
"Oh, you two..."
You stood up for Yunhee and cared less if somebody’s mother of high repute was calling you derogatory words because you wanted to defend and protect your daughter. Yunho got into a fight with a pervert and cared less if he got injured because he wanted to protect you. Yunhee, as young as she is, punched a classmate and cared less if she’ll get zero stars for the next weeks of class because she wanted to protect her dad.
While violence should never be justified, the thought is undeniable; families, no matter how imperfect, will always stand up for each other when the other can’t come around and do it for himself.
Unity builds a home.
Tumblr media
Yunho is the type of husband who will never cease to show you his love and appreciation even in the smallest of things, no matter how much time has passed by.
He still wakes you up with sweet kisses, rambles about how much he loves you every night, thanks you for giving him a beautiful family, treats you to dates, gives you gifts, and everything else that he had been doing since the start of your relationship. Even when he’s tired, or when you’re arguing, or when you’re both down in the dumps, he never ceases to let you know that he loves you still, and that he will continue to for as long as he could.
Today is your sixth anniversary, and the father-and-daughter tandem managed to surprise you with a bouquet of flowers and cake early in the morning. In the afternoon, you decide to spend the time on your farm, celebrating your milestone together.
This time, you’re the one who’s bearing a surprise for them.
Truth be told, it felt like yesterday when you and Yunho dreamed about having a farm of your own, but here you all are.
You watch as Yunhee plays around in the grassy area while Yunho does some gardening, although, his focus is obviously halved with how frequently he looks back to make sure that Yunhee is safe. From where you are, you see how happy Yunhee is, and how a smile graces Yunho’s lips whenever he sees Yunhee laugh and enjoy.
Your own lips unconsciously stretch into an equally fond and contented smile at the sight of your loved ones.
Carefully, you set the picnic spot up, being in charge of the most important part of today’s event. Everything has to be as perfect as it could be.
Prying the bag open, you grab the mat out and lay it onto the grass before bringing the food out from the kitchen one by one. As soon as Yunhee catches a whiff and a sight of all the delish food that you made, she’s quick to abandon the chicken she was previously running after to dash to you— to the chicken’s relief.
Bursting into a fit of chuckles when she plops down onto the mat, you shake your head as she rolls over to lie down on her stomach. She rests her chin on her hands with her elbows propping her up, little legs swinging back and forth as she innocently gives you a very, very cute look.
“You are so like papa.” You playfully roll your eyes at the image of her dimples showing as she lets out another giggle, happily rolling around the mat, examining a certain dish, and then rolling over again to repeat it with another dish.
Yunho approaches the two of you, his shirt slung over his shoulder as he takes his gardening gloves off. He stands right beside you, and like it’s your second nature, you turn your head just on time to receive his expected kiss.
Yunhee grimaces at the sight, a gag resounding through the open area, though she giggles right after seeing Yunho mock the look on her face.
“Hmm, mama, you told me you have a surprise for us, didn’t you?” Yunhee mumbles, rolling over on her back and raising her arms up to the sky for no reason. Yunho takes notice of this and snickers to himself.
“She got that from you,” Yunho whispers while he washes his hands on the outdoor faucet behind you, lips pouting to point over to Yunhee’s unusual mannerism. You snort and try to hit him, though he dodges your hits flawlessly.
“Anyway, yes I did, honey.”
Yunhee beams at you upon hearing your reply. Quickly, she crawls over to you to rest her head on your lap, and your hand finds her hair in a millisecond. Yunho walks over, wiping his wet hands onto a clean towel before plopping down onto the mat as well. He discards the shirt that was previously hung on his shoulder before leaning back on his palms a little for air.
“So… Now that the four of us are complete, should I reveal my surprise?”
You ask, grinning at Yunho who already has his head tilted in question. Looking down on your lap, you see your daughter already looking up at you with curiosity in her eyes.
“But mama,” Yunhee says, sitting up with furrowed brows. “There are only three of us here.”
Shaking your head, your eyes briefly flicker to look at Yunho who’s slowly sitting up from leaning back, puppy-like eyes growing wider by the second as if begging for an answer. But you only give him a grin, lift a hand, and begin counting.
“One, two, three…” You trail off, pointing to yourself, Yunho, and Yunhee respectively.
“And four.” you add, finally pointing to your stomach.
“Yunhee,” You say, grinning down at the confused girl. “You’re going to have a baby brother!”
Like the flip of a switch, the little girl’s face lights up, and the first thing she does is turn to her father.
“Oh god,” Yunho sighs happily as he buried his face into his palms briefly, his faint dimples deepening as he breaks into an extremely jovial smile. Yunhee’s yells could still be faintly heard in the background while Yunho pulls you up and sweeps you off your feet.
Laughter erupts from you as he twirls you around before placing a kiss on your lips.
And again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
Yunhee’s protesting whines cause the two of you to pull away, sitting back down onto the picnic mat but all huddled together.
“I love you,” Yunho mumbles, kissing you again before looking down at his little girl. “And you.” He adds right before peppering hundreds of kisses on her face.
Yunho then gives you a smile before reaching down to rub your belly.
“And of course you, too.”
He chuckles, tackling you down to place kisses onto your belly, making you screech and flail around at the sudden action.
And it is then when you realize that there are many things that could build a home, may the answer be parents and a child, devotion, respect, loyalty— there are so many values to mention.
But one thing is certain; only one thing can complete a home. And your family, although little, has a tremendous amount of it.
Love.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
KIM HONGJOONG
kim saemi (born 2027) and kim narae (born 2029)
saemi was definitely a surprise to you and hongjoong
the two of you had JUST got back together after breaking off your fake relationship you had going for years 🫣
hongjoong absolutely adores saemi and was excited when he found out you were pregnant
when saemi was born, she literally was the light of his world
he cried when he first held her at the hospital
calls her his “little aurora”
you and hongjoong actually planned for narae and the other members teased him
saemi was actually really excited to have a little sibling
when narae was born and you and hongjoong were spending time taking care of her plus hongjoong had to get ready for ateez’s comeback
saemi started resenting everyone and was worried that you and hongjoong were forgetting about her
especially hongjoong, like she was heartbroken when he didn’t show up to her school play because of work
she really asked him “am i not your aurora anymore?”
OH GOD HIS HEART BROKE
but even after that bump in the road, saemi still really loves her sister
saemi loves fashion and loves matching with hongjoong, she also really loves dressing narae up and choosing her outfits
hongjoong also lets her pick out his outfits
hongjoong sometimes takes narae to the studio while you’re at work and saemi is at school
he loves letting her play with the piano in his studio because it makes her giggle
like saemi, hongjoong calls narae his “little treasure”
Tumblr media
PARK SEONGHWA
park hyemi and hyewon (born 2026) and park jaehwa (born 2029)
wooyoung teased him by telling him he copied him since he had twin girls first
you and seonghwa were surprised at the fact that you were pregnant with twins
even if the twins were a surprise, seonghwa adores them so much
definitely spoils them and you often scold him for how much he tends to do it
the girls have sort of similar personalities
but hyemi is a little more friendly and sociable than compared to hyewon
hyemi was also more excited to have another sibling while hyewon wasn’t
hyewon despite still being somewhat outgoing was afraid that you and seonghwa were going to forget about her in favor of the new baby and hyemi
hyewon is definitely a mommy’s girl while hyemi is a daddy’s girl
seonghwa has actually always struggled with having a relationship with hyewon as she would prefer to spend time with you
hyemi actually told seonghwa and you about her sister’s fear of being forgotten when jaehwa is born
of course seonghwa and you talk to your daughter and reassure her that it’s impossible to forget her
when jaehwa is born, the girls immediately try to make him their doll
they definitely make him play them when he’s old enough to
jaehwa is definitely a little more shy than compared to his sisters
like the spitting image of seonghwa especially in the eyes
you call him your “starry boy” because looks at everything with stars in his eyes
Tumblr media
JEONG YUNHO
jeong taeyong (born 2019) and jeong taerim (born 2030)
taeyong was born to yunho and his ex
yunho and the other members basically raised him
yunho actually didn’t tell you about taeyong when you first started going out
you found out from dispatch that yunho had a son and felt… hurt that he didn’t trust you
kq kind of made you guys break up in order to do some control on the situation
you didn’t met taeyong until after you and yunho had gotten back together
taeyong literally adores you and you adore him
he called you mom without thinking and you cried because you never thought that would happen
him and lily (your dog) are like best friends and often cause shenanigans together when taeyong is at your apartment
taerim was planned after you and yunho had been married for like five years
you both wanted to make sure taeyong would be okay with it and he was actually really excited
he absolutely adores taerim and is always helping you and yunho the best an eleven year old can
taerim is literally the apple of yunho’s eye like he absolutely adores her and loves seeing taeyong and taerim together
Tumblr media
KANG YEOSANG
kang aeri (born 2030)
the last ateez baby to be born
you and yeosang planned for baby aeri
like you made sure you were prepared as you could be for when she was born
yeosang was worried about being a good dad especially since he watched his members become dads
would compare himself to them and think that he was doing a bad job
this honestly drove a rift between the two of you because yeosang would just… avoid going home
this left you with aeri by yourself while you also had a fashion line to run and design
the guys eventually notice how yeosang has changed and talk to him and he goes home to find you sleeping on the couch with aeri in her swing asleep next to you
yeosang absolutely loves his daughter
like once he gains confidence in his parenting, he starts showing her off a lot more to the members
you even designed a whole line inspired by aeri and yeosang which was like a father and daughter line
even as a baby, aeri is quiet which mimics yeosang’s more quieter side
Tumblr media
CHOI SAN
choi raim (born 2024)
you and san didn’t necessarily plan for a child but decided that if you got pregnant then it would be okay
san was definitely more ready as he’s always wanted to be a dad
you were worried about if you would be a good mom but san always made sure to reassure you
san definitely became a semi-housedad when raim was born so you could work
san, like the other members, adores his daughter and will literally do anything for her
she has him wrapped around her finger
she loves going to work with him
raim actually cries if san is gone for too many days and HATES it when he goes on tour
san almost thought of quitting being an idol in order to be with raim more
but you managed to convince him not to because being an idol was his dream
when takes raim to schedules everyone absolutely loves her
she once told you both that she wanted to be an idol like san but he’s currently trying to convince her to do something else
san often calls her his “pretty butterfly”
she definitely shows him off like a trophy dad to the other kids at school
loves when he comes to pick her up and when there’s something that involves parents because then she gets to show him off
he feels proud knowing that raim talks about him to her classmates
Tumblr media
SONG MINGI
song moongyu (born 2028)
you didn’t want to tell mingi, but you never actually wanted to be a mom
you were scared and tried to put off telling him for as long as you could
mingi was hurt that you didn’t tell him and kept it from him
but then you tell him why you didn’t tell him and he felt bad for basically yelling at you
when moongyu was born, mingi was over the moon and cried when he felt held him
actually he cried when he heard moongyu cry right after you gave birth
loves dressing him up and likes having matching outfits
like hongjoong, mingi likes taking moongyu to the studio and definitely has a few songs dedicated to both you and moongyu
moongyu is definitely a little more outgoing than you and mingi
you often wonder where he gets his personality from and you somehow blame wooyoung
moongyu also really likes to draw and to watch you draw when you work
after he was born you made a little mini webtoon dedicated to moongyu called “baby moon comes home”
Tumblr media
JUNG WOOYOUNG
jung mikyung and mihyeon (born 2025)
were definitely a surprise especially since ateez and your group were doing so well
you actually thought wooyoung was going to breakup with you when you told him you were pregnant
like he didn’t say anything and basically ran away leaving you by yourself
wooyoung was definitely worried about his and your careers
when your company announced you were pregnant, a lot of toxic fans wanted you to leave the group and even protested outside the company
thankfully you didn’t have to leave the group, but did eventually go on hiatus
no one knew who the father was and assumed it was a non-celebrity but then wooyoung announced that he was going to be a dad
he loves his two daughters and was surprised when you both found out you were having twins
mikyung and mihyeon are definitely like night and day
mikyung is exactly like wooyoung with how outgoing and sociable she is
while mihyeon is similar to you and more quiet and reserved
HOWEVER it’s funny because mikyung loves spending time with you while mihyeon enjoys being with wooyoung
wooyoung joked that it was like opposites attract or something because he was also attracted to you and your calm persona
they both LOVE dance though and you both love dancing with them
Tumblr media
CHOI JONGHO
choi jihoon (born 2028)
you told jongho you were pregnant through a song
told him you made a new song and wanted his opinion on it
the two of you were considered newlyweds having only gotten married like six months before you got pregnant
but you both were excited nonetheless
the boys were surprised that their baby was having a baby
jihoon was born prematurely which at first scared you both but the others helped support you guys
when he was born, jongho was so amazed at how tiny he was
jihoon loves listening to jongho sing which is something he says he gets from you
jongho use to sing you to sleep when you were pregnant and couldn’t sleep, so jihoon must have heard him singing to you
jongho often has to sing jihoon to sleep but only at bedtime
you and jongho made a whole album of jongho just singing lullabies for jihoon to listen to
he calls him his “gummy bear” because jihoon has that same gummy smile as jongho

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You could feel your heartbeat in your ears, pacing back and forth in the hallway of your father's estate. You had been waiting for what seemed like a century. Since you had ignored your father's call, he has now decided to ignore you. Typical for the old man. He's probably losing the plot over the idea of you wanting to marry another, and that other was none other than Jeong Yunho. One of his rivals of sorts. It's not that he hated him. On the contrary, he admired Yunho, thinking he was one of the best in the business. And that is why he was hating you for marrying him. Your father didn’t want to you marry up. He wanted someone lesser, a man that would have no fight nor drive to do something on his own. He wanted you to marry someone that he could control and use you as a tool to control.
But Jeong Yunho… There is no controlling such a man.
He is powerful, talented―in more ways than one―ruthless yet fair and one hell of a lover. He was a god amongst men, and your father, along with many others, knew of this. This is exactly why your father is currently pacing around his office, fearing to let you in, afraid you might have brought your soon-to-be with you. How could he possibly take control of Seoul City now with such a man by your side? After a couple more moments of freaking out, he finally manages to calm himself down, racking his fingers through his thinning oily hair, shooting the last bit of his whisky before taking a seat behind his desk and pretending as if nothing was wrong.
But when you stepped inside the musty office, you could tell immediately that your dear ol’ dad was in a state of panic. You could see the way his eyes were scanning around you, wanting to see if you brought your soon-to-be with you. But you had told Yunho to stay in the car. You wanted to talk with your father without the looming fear your lover brings to others, and you knew your father would be more than spooked. He would be infuriated.
“Hello, father.” You spoke first, making the shaky man finally look at you instead of around the room. His eyes were bloodshot. You could tell he hadn’t slept in a day or so, maybe more. “I assume you’ve heard the news already.”
You knew he already knew, the events at the gala weren’t exactly… quiet, and more than one passerby must have heard you and Yunho. Or worse, someone probably saw Yunho’s men dragging your fiance out of the house for no particular reason…
“Is Lucas alive?” His voice was shaky as if he was terrified of you? Scared of his own daughter.
“That’s what you ask?” You scoffed, not even a ‘hi’ or ‘how are you’. You would have settled on him saying you were a disappointment, but him asking if your ex was alive? Out of anything, he could say. He wanted to know if your shitty pitiful excuse of a man, ex was alive or not? You sighed, turning to look over to the scatter of paintings decorating the walls. Most old paints he bought, illegally, of course. But two of them were hand-painted for his wife, your mother. They really loved each other, but when your mother died giving birth to you, he never seemed to forgive you for it. Like it was your fault for killing the love of his life.
“He’s alive….” You said bluntly, tired of being in your father's presence. Turning back to him, you give him an unexpressed look with a hint of cruelness, something your father has never seen before. “…For now.”
Your father visibly gulped, gripping his pen with a fearsome tightness. For the first time in your life, your father was looking at you, and not as in his eyes gazing upon you with annoyance or displeasure. Or even when you finally get his attention from an argument, and he looks at you with wrath. He never once looked at you, the real you. And now here he was, and he was terrified.
“You c-can’t do this.” He stuttered, sitting straight up in his chair, while the hand that gripped his pen now slowly snaked under the table. “I needed him. I needed to―control me?”
You cut him off with a snapping tone in your voice. You were tired of your father, tired of being the perfect little daughter. Tired of running after an image of yourself, you were never going to truly be. You scoffed, seeing your father's stunned face as if he didn’t know you knew about his plan. But the truth was, you knew the arrangement from the start, and yet you played along, not wanting to disappoint your dearest dad. He thought he raised a fool, someone to manipulate. But in reality, he raised someone crueller than him. Someone with the ability to kill without a second thought.
“Daughter I assure you, I never wanted to….” His words became blurred as anger filled your veins. Now, this lowlife was trying to lie to you? Did he really think so little of you?
“Enough.” You couldn’t care for his bickering. “I’m marrying Yunho with or without your permission. I only came here to give you the decency of telling you in person.”
And with that, you went to walk away, turning on your heels to do to open the large dark oak door. Your father now watched in panic, in veracity. Even though you hated the idea of you marrying Yunho, he was more scared of the fact that he still needed your ex alive. He promised his parents protection, and if he were to die, that would mean war. And you knew It. “I need him released…”
You turned, looking him dead in the eyes. “Released?”
“Yes. If he’s not back in my custody within the hour. You will no longer be my daughter. I swear to god, I will end you.” For a second, he sounded like the powerful man he pretended to be. Threatening anyone that got in his way. But you didn’t care. In fact, it made you smile. amused at him for trying.
“Is that a threat or a promise?” And like that, you left.
-
When you got to the car, Yunho could tell something was wrong. Did the talk not go well? He swears if your father did anything to hurt you, he was going to go back in there and shoot him right between his eyes. But as you got in the car, he knew how you were feeling. A smile panted your face, a sadistic one. You started laughing, a peal of nervous laughter. “All he cared about was Lucas…”
Yunho put his hand on your back, rubbing in circles slowly as he watched your laughter turn into tears and then a full-on sob. “ALL HE CARED ABOUT WAS MY FUCKING EX!” you screamed, falling into Yunho’s embrace, crying into his shoulder. He shushed you softly, trying his best to calm you down. He quickly motioned to his driver to take you home but you stopped him, wiping your tears slightly, seeing your mascara smudging onto your hand.
“Take me to him. I need to see him…Please.” Yunho stared deep at you, looking for any second thoughts in your words. But when he found nothing, he nodded, turning to the driver before simply saying.
“Take us to the dungeon.”
-
It was nearing the hour of midnight, party-goers filling the streets, bar hopping, and dancing wherever the music was. The Dungeon―Yunho’s night club―was one of, if not the best-known club on the block, thousands lined up to get in, even though most of them wouldn’t likely see the inside. The club was stylish and chic with a black and gold aesthetic. Just like Yunho in that area. The theme was his staple. Gold accents, black covering. But below the club was a secret. a hidden club for criminals. Called night hour, the hidden club was where crime lords, drug suppliers, and under-the-table government businesses took place. Only the elites knew of it, so of course your father had known of it, but little did anyone know there was something else under it. A basement level. A place only Yunho and a select few in his team knew. And now you.
The Dungeon, the irony, given there was a literal dungeon under it, filled with cells and interrogating rooms. Among old things, such as a wine seller and storage to supply the clubs above. You walked quickly beside Yunho, feet aching from your heels, but you couldn’t care at that moment. Only wanted to see your ex. Yunho was a bit cautious at first to tell you about this place, let alone that Lucas was here. But when he did tell you, you said you never wanted to see him, nor did you care about such a place. So why now? Why did you want to see him? What was there to speak about?
“Boss. he’s ready.” The one you knew was named Yeosang called from down the hall. Yunho had called while you were in the car to prepare Lucas to be spoken to. Which most likely meant they clean him up a bit. Cause even though Yunho knows you’ve been in this dark world since birth, he wanted to shield you, hide you away from as much as he could. Keep your innocence if it was the last thing he could do. And as you walked down the hall next to him, he felt a sudden uneasiness. He had planned to kill Lucas within the week once you had spoken with your father, so maybe you wanted to get something out of him beforehand. But as you take slow steps towards the cell, he sat in, your heart raced, but your palms never sweat, and your expression never faltered.
He doesn’t notice at first, but you switch to his left side instead of his right, which confused him for a moment, but he thought nothing of it straight after. What he did notice was the way you went silent, more so than usual, and the tension in the air seemed to change. Thicker, it seemed. The door opened ahead of you, and it was like your heart stopped. Your eyes gaze upon your ex, your almost husband, bruised, bloody, and half awake. He was filthy, most likely left in his own mess for who knows how long. And as his swollen lids rose to meet your wide eyes, his expression changed from helplessness to fear.
Cause in his mind, you were the reason he was there. You were the reason he can’t feel the tips of his fingers or toes. If he still even had them, he couldn’t tell anymore. You were the thing he came to fear most. Yunho watched as Lucas's expression shifted at your presence, and out of the corner of his eye, the blank expression across your face concerned him. You got to the end of the hallway, and it was like time stopped. You moved quicker than Yunho can himself. Or maybe he just never expected you to do such a thing. Reaching into the holster that sat perfectly on Yunho’s hip. Pulling out the gun, you clicked the safety switch and shot straight before anyone could react.
You stare where the bullet priced Lucas's frontal lobe. Right between his eyes... The ringing of the gunshot vibrates and stings in yours and Yunho’s ears. It almost sounded like an explosion at the way it echoed on the damp walls. Instantly, Lucas’s head drops. It doesn’t waver or stagger like in the movies. It just drops… dead. He didn't even get a word out before the shot. No plea, no beg. Not even a second breath.
His blood pools into his lap, the spray from the wound paints the wall behind him, and some of the floor became the same as the redness drips off his lap onto the concrete. You don’t realize it, but you stood frozen, not even dropping the gun from it's shotted position. There’s beating on the walls somewhere, maybe from the club above? You shakily inhale, trying to bring yourself back only to notice. The banging wasn’t around you, but the thrumming of your own heart.
So much chaos ensued within only three seconds.
“Baby…” Yunho’s voice called for you, turning your head slowly, your glossed eyes strain upon his. There was sympathy spilling from the mob boss, and was that lust hidden beneath? He has never seen such a thing happen in front of him by such a sweet-looking thing like yourself. He was proud, confused, and maybe a little bit scared. He never wanted you to have to do something like this, but here you were, gun in hand, and blood tainting your soft cheeks, ruining your attire.
“I…” You broke.
Your knees buckled, falling down, but Yunho caught you. Couching down with you in his arms, you clung to him. He took the gun, placing it carefully on the floor beside you. Tears fell down your hot cheeks, but you didn’t sob for Lucas, no, you sob with a mixture of joy and anguish. You were so happy that Lucas was gone and that you had done the unthinkable. Something your father never thought you’d be able to do. But at the same moment, you were terrified. Your life was going to change, and nothing would be the same. And what terrified you the most…
You felt nothing when you took someone's life.
-
The car ride was quiet, but Yunho didn’t mind. He knew you needed it. Time to your own thoughts. Time to collect yourself. But after a couple of minutes, he grew the want to say something. “You know I will never look at you differently because of today.”
It was like he knew your scattered brain. You had thought Yunho might have been mad at you, or maybe he wanted to stop being with you because of your actions. You looked at him with a short smile, thankful for his words. Your hand that was tangled in his squeezed slightly, telling him non-verbally that you understood him.
“You mean so much to me. And I’m proud to see you become someone strong.” the tears return to your eyes with his sappy confession. “I wasn’t really sure what love felt like until I met you. I love you so much, doll.”
You sat up straight so you could reach his lips, but he still had to lean down slightly so you could lock your mouth to his. The kiss was slow, tender, unlike the rough, passionate nights you’ve had with him over the past months. Love spilled from him and made your heart swell. His hand cupped your face, rubbing his thumb along his cheek so he could wipe away your tears.
“I love you too Yuyu…” you broke away from the kiss, nuzzling your nose against his. “I can’t wait to call you mine.”
That sentence sparked something in him. A fire that has been brewing inside him now was bursting out the seams. His eyes turned black, pupils blown and filled with desire. “Say it again.”
You giggled, moving back so you could cup his face in both hands, your eyes no longer glossed and no longer tainted with fear. You give him a devilish smirk, one that makes his heart stop and blood rush to the south. “Mine…” you whispered.

Tumblr media
Kim Hongjoong
Tumblr media
Hongjoong was in the studio working on some new projects so naturally, the camera was on for vlogging purposes. Soojin had been taking a nap on the couch not too far from his desk. She had been covered by a small tent that had glow-in-the-dark stars. A little over an hour had gone by since he put her down for her nap when he heard her stirring. He paused the current file he was working on when he took a peak. He found her slowly waking up as she rubbed her eyes. “Hey there princess,” he cooed softly. He slowly opened the curtains before working on the blinds. As rays of light slowly peeked into the studio, Soojin began to whine. Hongjoong paused, as did her whines, figuring it was her just waking up, he continued till she became more vocal. “No,” she whined, “No sun! The suuuuuuuun!”
“What’s the matter?” Hongjoong asked, slightly confused.
“The sun,” she complained, covering her face with her hands.
“Oh, the sun,” he nodded understandingly.
The wind outside caused the shade to shift, letting more sunlight in causing her to squeal in panic as Hongjoong stifled a laugh. Hongjoong was quick to close the curtain to give her some relief. “There, princess, the sun’s gone,” he reassured her. He watched as she halted her panic and slowly uncovered her face. Deciding to mess with her, he moves the curtain just a bit without her noticing. “Oh… it’s coming back. It’s coming…,” he says teasingly before being cut off by her scream as she covers her face with her blanket.
“The sun!” she yelled as he laughed, closing the curtain once more before taking her out of her tent.
“Don’t worry daddy’s here to protect you, princess,” he said as he settled back into his chair with her on his lap as he continued his work. Luckily for him, the whole moment was caught on camera, and he couldn’t help but post it as a teaser for his vlog.
Park Seonghwa
Tumblr media
Seonghwa had an unusual day off. He decided to do one of his favorite things, which was playing with his son in the backyard. Today, in particular, his son had gotten somewhat hungry while playing, so naturally, Seonghwa prepared a bottle for him. As they continued, Minseok began to doze off here and there. You heard Seonghwa laugh as you were in the kitchen getting dinner ready and you couldn’t help but check on them to see what they were up to. As you approached the pair you couldn’t help but laugh to find Minseok half asleep in his little tike car, his head nodding from side to side, clearly milk drunk as Seonghwa pretended to be a cop pulling him over. You pulled out your phone filming the duo as Seonghwa took the bottle gently from your son’s hand. Seonghwa gently tapped your son’s shoulder in patterns. “Sir, sir I need to see your license. Hello, sir,” he repeated as your son drunkenly opened his eyes replying with a lazy stare. “Sir, you’re very drunk. I think you geonbaed a little too hard,” Seonghwa said, tapping the doors of the car. You couldn’t help but stifle a laugh as you zoomed in on your son’s dazed state. Seonghwa shook the almost empty bottle in front of your son as he spoke again, “Look here’s the evidence you drank it all.
“Sir, I really need your license,” he repeated, trying not to laugh as he gently tapped his chest and moved his arm.
Your son could only lay his head back as his eyes closed again. “Hey, hello, are you alive,” Seonghwa teased whistling before squishing Minseok’s cheeks together a couple of times. You couldn’t help but burst into laughter with Seonghwa as he attempted to wake your son by hitting the squeaky horn repeatedly. That was definitely one for the books.
Jeong Yunho
Tumblr media
The moment your daughter stole a rocoto from its bowl at the center of the table and was unwilling to give it up he knew this moment would go one of two ways. Either she would like it and nothing would happen or she’d cry from how spicy it was. Regardless he knew it would be recorded by one of the few cameras that were filming them for the day for a TV special so he’d be able to look back at it. He watched as your daughter calmly ate her food, both of you hoping Hyoyeon would forget about the spicy pepper altogether. Unfortunately for the both of you she didn’t in fact when she saw you eat one she immediately reached for her own taking a decent-sized bite out of it. The two of you looked at her in shock as you watched her process her emotions and thoughts. A few seconds passed before taking a deep breath with her tongue between her teeth. “Mama are you okay?” you asked wondering if she liked it or not. She took a drink from her cup before saying one of her favorite phrases.
“Ta bueno,” Hyo smiled with a thumbs up as you both sighed in relief. (it’s good)
“You’re your mother’s daughter alright,” Yunho chuckled softly before continuing to eat.
Yunho watched as your daughter continued to eat, occasionally blowing onto the pepper before eating it alongside something else on her plate. Yunho couldn’t help but chuckle at her silliness. “Is it too hot Hyo?” he asked.
“No, it’s good. Appa try,” she said, holding it out to him.
Although he wanted to deny her offer he couldn’t reject her pleading eyes. He took a bite as the pair of girls watched him. Although he felt a burning sensation on his tongue he finished his piece before opening his mouth to show her he had finished it. You and Hyo clapped and cheered with him. Your daughter was quick to act grabbing another one and putting it on his plate, “Appa like? Have more,” she smiled. Yunho’s victory smile dropped as he looked at you for help and you couldn’t help but laugh.
Kang Yeosang
Tumblr media
Yeosang was taking your daughter to the doctor when he was advised that she needed her vaccines. Knowing that despite you not being able to be there you’d want to be witness to this moment. He pulled out his phone filming as he watched as one nurse held her gently as the other one prepped the area. Eunbyul watched attentively as the nurse set up the needle. Not wanting her to be frightened he called her name in an attempt to catch her attention. At first, she ignored him but after the 3rd time, she turned just as the needle went into her leg. At this point, Yeosang was just waiting for her to cry instead she glared at her father. Taken back, Yeosang couldn’t help but stifle a laugh, “Who are you looking at like that for?” he chuckled before she tilted her head motioning it toward him, her eyes widening.
“Oop,” the nurse let out as she put the bandage on her leg.
This caused your daughter to turn her attention towards her, giving her the same look that she gave your husband not too long ago. She had a mini staring contest with her before she burst into laughter along with Yeosang and the other nurse. “I think you’ve been spending too much time with your momma. You got her sass but watch her say you got it from me,” Yeosang jokes before stopping the camera and sending you the video, which he would later post on his Instagram.
Choi San
Tumblr media
You were laying down with Yuri on your lap as you watched some TV. All was calm until San walked into the living leaning against the bottom of the couch as he looked for the perfect angle to film his idea. You watched him curiously as tried to slyly catch your daughter’s attention. Once he did she had already laid all the way back leaning her head against the couch as she attempted to reach for him. Your husband quickly fumbled with his phone before holding it steady and starting to film. You calmly watched as he held his finger out to her as the My Heart Will Go On played in the background. You watched as he got closer till she grabbed his finger. He kept his finger there until Rose from Titanic said her iconic line, “Jack, I’ll never let go.”
You raised your eyebrows as to where he was going with this until the music began to swell up again. Just as you heard Celine Dion sing again you watched as your husband slowly yet dramatically pulled away pretending to sink onto the floor next to the couch as you laughed, your daughter holding her hand opening hoping for him to join her again. After a bit of silence, you watched as San took your pouty daughter from your arms, handing you his phone and showing you the video he had just posted. He had added some slow-motion effect to the moment he pulled away and turned it black and white making your daughter’s expressions all the funnier. “You have nothing better to do, huh?” you teased turning back towards San.
“You just don’t appreciate my artistic talent enough,” he laughed, “Just you wait, I’ll win an Oscar someday.”
Song Mingi
Tumblr media
Mingi was with some other idols and their children filming a Father’s Day special when he watched the host bring out a carton of eggs. He watched as they instructed the children including their own to stand handing each of them an egg telling them to hold it and wait for further instruction. Mingi watched as Chewon and Daewon each took their egg, holding it and examining it before holding it out to him. “It’s yours you get to keep it for now,” Mingi explained as the twins could only look at one another in confusion. He watched as the host Kai explained to both the audience and the guest, “There’s a saying that babies are very gentle with eggs so we’re gonna put that to the test today. We’re gonna have all the dads stand on the opposite side of the room and call their children over to them. Rules are simple, the first one to make it to the other side with their egg fully intact wins. The little ones who are still too young to walk will sit this one out as we have another game for them.”
You watched from the side with the other moms knowing the chaos that was about to ensue. Just as the race started the little ones were quick to pace quickly over to their fathers. Some teased their dads running in opposite directions while others rolled the egg or played with it. You looked over at the twins who had yet to move from their spot looking at each other till Daewon took off running which sent Mingi into a panic. Naturally, his sister took off running behind him and you watched as Mingi’s anxiety grew more with each tumble and fall yet no matter how many times they’d fumble they managed to keep the egg from cracking.
At this point, Mingi looked like he was about to faint but then again so did the other dads as the race had turned more chaotic than expected. Both the crew and mothers laughed from the side as they watched the dads attempt to call their children over. Eventually, everyone’s attention turned as one of the MCs became excited as the twins got closer to their dad. Just as they were about to hand him the eggs they fell back onto their backs rolling into fits of laughter before Chaewon sat up bum-crawling to her dad to hand him the egg which was perfectly intact with her brother following close behind. Who knew that the simple game would make the perfect teaser.
Jung Wooyoung
Tumblr media
You were at work on break when you were told that your husband was trending on Twitter and TikTok. Thinking about their recent comeback you genuinely didn’t think much about it figuring it was something related to that. That was until you opened Twitter to find your son’s name trending not far below his father’s. Confused, you clicked the topic reading tweets like, “Youngjae is such a mood,” and, “Youngjae is Wooyoung’s mini twin.” Confused, you pressed the video tab and opened the recent video. Based on the outfits and the format of the screen recording it looked like Wooyoung had done a live stream today while babysitting. Sometime during it, your son had gotten hungry but instead of taking his bottle your son wanted your husband’s coffee instead.
You watched as your husband teased your son testing to see if he wanted the coffee or if it was just his imagination. Every time he’d set the cup near him he’d open his mouth to take the straw only for Woo to pull away causing Youngjae to be distraught. With every repetition your son only looked more betrayed and hurt until eventually, he hit a breaking point. During the last one, Woo couldn’t help but laugh at his son’s adorable pout which made your son laugh along only to let out a scream of frustration. Despite not liking to see your son upset you couldn’t help but laugh as well at their antics. You found a longer version of the video which later showed Wooyoung getting a new straw and putting it in his bottle before holding it out to Youngjae who happily took the bottle drinking his milk as his dad wiped the single tear that had fallen onto his face.
Choi Jongho
Tumblr media
Jongho had picked up your son from daycare and once in the car, he asked a very important question that was on his mind. “Dad, have you ever seen an elicottero?” Minho asked calmly. Jongho turned to him with a puzzled look as your son repeated his question. Once he realized the confusion he explained, “It’s a new Spanish word my friend taught me.”
“Oh. That’s your mom’s jurisdiction here, why don’t we call her,” Jongho said facetiming you.
“Hi mi vida,” you answered as you answered the call to see your son, “Hey my love.”
“Hey baby, your son has a Spanish question for you,” Jongho explained as began to screen-record, “Go ahead Minho, ask your mom.”
“Mom, have you ever seen an elicottero?” Minho asked.
You somewhat had an idea as to what your son was talking about, but regardless, you asked for further clarification. “How does it go?” you asked. You watched as Minho put his hands together and began to move them up and down as he mimicked the sound of a helicopter. “Is that how it goes?” you asked.
“Yup have you ever seen one, an elicottero?” Minho nodded.
“Yes, I have,” you smiled, “Aver, como se dice helicoptero,” you replied. (Let’s see, how do you say helicoptero)
“Helicotero,” Minho nodded confidently as you and Jongho laughed.

Werewolf Yunho
Tumblr media
Pair: Jeong Yunho x Reader
Genre: Headcannons, Fluff, Smut, Werewolf!
W/C: 1021
a/n: Hi! I had planned a whole thing for October....and then had a breakdown....like a bad one. So I've been writing this for a while. I hope you guys like it, feel free to reblog it with feedback, comment on it, and reblog in general. Or don't I can't stop ya. MINORS DNI.
~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
SFW
You met at a 7/11 getting ice cream late at night
He thought you smelled like fresh laundry and pine. His two favorite scents
You thought you could see his tail wag when you pulled out a spiderman phone case
You both reach for the same flavor, you’re mostly just checking it out in search of a new one to try.
He asks for your number and pays for your ice cream because his mom always taught him to be a good boy. She actually said gentleman but….
Your first date is to the Han River because he read somewhere it was a good place to go for first dates
He bumps hands with you a few times and he can hear your heart rate increase so he ends up holding onto it, probably lacing your fingers together too.
You get ramen and sit out by the river under the fairy lights.
You share a bowl hoping to be romantic
His spice tolerance is crazy high
You end up in tears from how spicy it is
You’re also a little crazy and end up loving the pain so you’re laughing and crying
He’s concerned until you smile, your lips are probably red and maybe swollen.
He thinks you look best with a smile
Wolf by EXO
He loves howling, he’s scary good at it you think
Does he know how to tell you he’s a werewolf? No
Does part of you expect it? Yeah…look at him…he’s an absolute dog.
He gets nervous since he likes you.
Hands sweaty
Voice crack
He might faint since he probably didn’t eat since he was rehearsing what to say to you
When he wakes up and you’re over him worried….. he’ll be bright red ears first then his whole face
Of course, you wouldn’t be sure what dating a werewolf is like.
What can’t he hear?
Does he smell if you’re nervous?
How many of your inner thoughts can he hear?
Can he throw you around? Mmmhmm
You do research to make sure if you have him over nothing can hurt him.
Look up sigils
Herbs
Maybe get into a little Magick…
Yunho falls fast. Maybe it’s his nature but he can’t help but fall for you instantly.
He’s scared to see you during full moons, usually, he can’t because of clan matters.
He usually comes back to your place when he’s stressed, he likes being surrounded by you.
He comes back and smells another dog. Immediately on guard.
Oh it’s an actual dog
One Golden Boi meets another
Nuri (dog) is on guard at all times.
Yunho and him have a standoff the first few times they meet.
Nuri doesn’t understand this man who smells like a dog
Yunho doesn’t like the way he’s looking at him
“Okay you two enough with the standoff.” you say exasperated by the pair
“He started it.” Yunho says
*Bark*
“No, I didn’t!” Yunho defends to the dog
Yes he can “speak dog”
Are they best friends the second Yunho takes Nuri on a run? Yeah.
Nuri gets a long run with “Dad” in the morning and an evening walk with “Mom and Dad” at night.
Yunho became Dad quickly.
Especially if you can’t work from home so he needs to be good while you’re gone.
“Yunho you don’t have to also tug the toy in your mouth.”
“Nuri says this is how you do it.”
Buy. New. Dog Toys.
Yunho wants to introduce you to the pack, especially since he sees forever with you.
He has to petition them and get at least a majority vote to bring you into their circle.
If the pack approves then he can ask you to move in, and you can be with him, he won’t be worried about you walking at night or anything.
If the pack approves he can also pursue you as his lifelong partner. Silly wolf traditions.
Your first clan meeting is nerve-wracking
No Shoes Allowed, you must be one with nature.
You stay with the other partners and some of the new mothers while the boys go out hunting.
“Promise you’ll be safe?” you ask and put your forehead to his, a ritual you had seen in a wolf documentary. Research.
“I promise.” he smiles and kisses your forehead and you hand him a little charm you made
Good luck charm…made from nature.
Picked out all the herbs that would keep him safe.
He puts it around his neck.

Mating
This man wouldn’t be able to keep his hands paws off you
Sure you’ve hooked up and slept together but this is different
This is his claim on you.
You’re his and He’s yours
He was yours the second you reached for the same ice cream
His mark on you was that spot between your neck and shoulder, he always put his nose there before you let him mark you.
He won’t keep his hands off you for at least a week.
You’re not leaving the bedroom for at least 3 days.
If he’s coming up on a full moon… POSSESSIVE YUYU
He’s growled at Nuri before for distracting you. (no Yuyu he needs to go outside.)
Usually, he’s soft and sweet with you, not if he’s in a rut.
Manhandling
Hope you like it rough your hips are gonna be sore as hell
Prepare to not walk the next day
Anniversary?= Camping in the woods so he can fuck you outside close to nature.

When he’s soft, he won’t stop kissing you, telling you he loves you
“I’d kiss you after you ate garlic.”
“Good because I just ate some kimchijeon from the fridge.”
“No wonder you smell like home.”
