i'm stupid so i absolutely did not put together Conrad Schintz as "conscience" until i saw someone in the tag point this out but now that it's in my dumb brain i can't stop thinking about it. Alex's choice to portray Conrad as this softspoken never speaks up but still has to do Something boy who is kind and thoughtful to a fault. pitch perfect character choices!!! but also this tiny quiet boy somehow being pegged by the heads of the city as the BIGGEST DISTRACTION to the big guy's goals and ambitions!! and then his choice of the important article to pay attention to being the culmination of Elias' months and months of research - specifically for the goal of, as Conrad put it, getting it before the "big wigs" could get to it. WHAT is Elias Hodge DOING for Gobstopper Industries??????

Y'know I really feel like Harry and Dave's relationship goes highly unexplored which is a shame because there IS quite a bit to explore, ESPECIALLY if you care about shipping. But as the game stands I mean, they must be aware of each other. Harry in fact definitely knows about Dave. I don't think he'd tell the fucking weird rotten bunny his terrible boss brought in IS the number one threat against Freddy's since day 1 but even so. Dave I don't think would see Harry as much more than A Phoney™ though, which is always more of an obstacle and way less of a person. Which is usually opposite of how Jack sees his often sole employee. Like, you get what I mean? It's almost similar to 2 with the main opposing routes being Peter and Dave except the stakes are arguably way lower now.

Idk I think it's funny that the most violent and bloodthirsty version of Khaji Da is also the one who's, theoretically, a super effective (if gruesome) healer.

Tbh the new 52 comics are kind eh to me. Love the art, love the body horror, love Khaji Da's brutality but the story is just kinda. Eh.

I DO quite like Khajis healing capabilities in this. If it didn't turn people into knockoff beetles I would LOVE it. Very fun to think about something alien embedded in you that keeps you alive and the person who controls is is your friend or family member. Could get some EXTREMELY fun 'The fuck are you going to do? Shut my heart off?' Ohhhh that would hit Jaime hard :')

I really do have beef with this plot point the more that I think about it cause like. I like to think of Jaime losing control and killing his friends and family as a 'present but mostly unreasonable' fear until the reach show up and make it both REASONABLE and PRESENT. Just my personal opinion I just think it makes the reach a more personal enemy than just FACELESS WORLD DESTROYING THREAT #4.

OK but I will always never understand "playersexual" criticisms in video game romances. Maybe it's because I'm both bi and gender funky flavours of queer but most video game worlds don't share our perceptions of sexuality and gender also who really fucking cares, if I want to romance my blorbo I should be allowed to regardless of gender ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Meet,

Sunbaked Finch Cookie! Based off a vampire ground finch!

Sunbaked Finch, much like the vampire ground finch, has a habit of feeding off of other cookies! Formed from a rather unpleasant childhood (trauma), this habit has gotten them into trouble before, but they’ve made no attempt to fix it, and will continue to not fix it until it kills them!

Friends are, unfortunately, not exempt from their feeding habits! As found out by Ventresca Cookie (belonging to @limboraptor) at, some point!

Sunbaked Finch Cookie, and will, bite anything that moves- whether it’s friend or foe does not particularly matter to them-

While I’m not too sure how Sunbaked Finch met Ventresca, I can say with certainty that if anyone were to be considered a part of Ventresca’s crew, they likely would be, even if unofficially! They’re about as looney bins as would be needed to willingly go into an entire hurricane for one sea beast. Although they are, of course, mainly going for the prospects of food, and helping a friend.

Fun fact; Sunbaked Finch used to have wings!

and now, wingless lore <3 Sunbaked’s wings were removed forcefully, after an incident where they were caught by another cookie in high power after draining some poor bloke dry of their jam. Sunbaked was expected to be facing charges for what would have been considered a murder, but, their, captor so to speak, thought of a different punishment for them rather than jail time.

You can guess where that went- but yeah, Sunbaked basically had their wings ripped off for doing their best to survive :D

This will all probably change at some point so enjoy this trauma while it lasts- and shoot me if this is too edgy for a cookie that looks like them ;-;

WATCHED ELISABETH DAS MUSICAL IN FULL FOR TH FIRST TIME?? AND I HAVE A LOT TO SAY WOOHOO

(just a bunch of theories idk actually)

i've seen clips and whatnot before so i have a basic understanding of the plot but actually watching it helped me understand the situation and relationships between the characters more. there's a ton of shit to unpack here...

in my opinion, one of the most prominent themes that i actually failed to notice until now was the fact that all of the (main, at least) character had kind of a need to be understood, to be close to another person, but failing to do so due to their own insecurities.

everyone wants to open up, to have someone to share their troubles with, but are put under such high amounts of pressure that they find themselves unable to. we see that especially between elisabeth and franz joseph in boote in der nacht. they say (translated) "couldn't you just once look through my eyes? / then you wouldn't misunderstand me anymore" and "we cross each other on the sea / and we're lonelier than before" as in both of them are lonely without one another and seek out each other's company (particularly f.j. for elisabeth, but not so much the other way around) but they are both shrouded by misunderstandings which prevent such from happening. like rudolf says in wenn ich dein spiegel wär, elisabeth had built up a wall around her, around her heart, that stops anyone from getting close to her.

despite so, we see throughout the musical, particularly in schwarzer prinz and der schleier fällt that, alongside her more obvious want for freedom, elisabeth too has a desire to be understood and accepted (it's kind of a subconscious part of human nature yk yk), evidenced by the lines of (translated) "let me be both free and secure" and "give my soul a home". however, due to all the trauma she suffered at the hands of her mother-in-law, the pressure of being empress, and f.j. cheating on her later on, she closed herself off to everyone, even her own son.

and that brings me to my next point, which is rudolf. unlike his mother and father, he is rather open about his longing of acceptance and support from others (at least to elisabeth), but is rejected by his family which is pretty much built upon the mindset of "emotions are for the weak". i'd also like to point out the elisabeth's neglect of rudolf partially comes from the fact that she's afraid that he is too similar to her. as said in wenn ich dein spiegel wär, her looking at rudolf is as though she was to look at a reflection of herself, through which she too can see all of her insecurities, which is a great fear of her's.

i don't think elisabeth's neglect (at least as it is represented in the musical) is intentional as we hear her regrets in the next scene with her with rudolf's coffin, but rather she was forced to draw away because of her own mental burdens and her fear of getting close to anyone.

My boss, after reading the RFP I wrote last week: oh but I didn't think the history section explained the use case well enough [well you didn't give me any info so I was going based on what I could piece together], your appendix didn't include xyz fields [YOU DIDNT TELL ME THEY EXISTED AND I HAD NO WAY TO FIND THAT OUT SINCE y'all aren't even following BASIC RM principles when it's not convenient], what about xyz problem [ITS IN THE FUTURE STATE REQUIREMENTS. DID U NOT FUCKIN READ THEM. THEYRE IN BRIGHT RED FOR A REASON], your questions for the vendor seem too vague, we need specifics and answers in 2 weeks [specifics in what sense??? You haven't laid out a plan for this!!! It's not MY FAULT y'all decided to engage a vendor BEFORE doing an RFP or even OUTLINING THE BARE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR PROPOSED SOLUTION. Like ofc it's gonna be weird and clunky YOURE DOING THE WHOLE PROCESS BACKWARDS. AND THE MFING COMMITTEE CANT GIVE ME A SINGLE ANSWER SO IM PULLING FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS OUT OF MY ASS]

NOTABLY she did not comment on the requirements section. Y'know. The actual core and central purpose of this document. The whole reason it was given to ME (the only computer literate archivist in the group) like??? HELLO. Please. Please sit down and tell me what you think the purpose of this document and the process of engaging with a vendor is like. Please. Please tell me how you think ANY of this works, or how you expect it to work on your whack ass timeline

The IT guy?? On the other hand??? I asked him for a second pair of eyes on the technical requirements (BC unlike SOME people I know my fuckin limits and I'm primarily a records manager not a database designer) and he was like oh no it looks great you nailed it and it's exactly the type of document they should be using.

So like. One of the only other ppl in the building who knows what they're talking about agrees with me. He however has the ability and a legitimate reason to recuse himself from this whole shitshow. *I* do not.
