Spelling Reform I: Introduction

So, I've been working on a spelling reform for English orthography for about a year now. I initially got the idea to make a spelling reform from jan Misali's «Fun Riform» video, and it's been through several versions before landing on something I'm happy with. I've posted a guide to an older version on Reddit and updates on Twitter before, but nothing for this latest version, yet. Here's some sample texts:

This reform started off with the goals of wanting to distinguish words that could reasonably have multiple pronunciations with diacritics and address some other frustrations I have with English orthography as it stands, but has grown into a whole system. I took inspiration from several places, including, ironically, English's historical spelling. As this system is built on top of the current system, it can distinguish many pairs of words that would have been homographs in a purely phonetic system. Because of this, my reform also ends up being fairly dialect neutral -- for example, preserving "horse" vs. "hoarse" (which matters in Indian English), "ewe" vs. "yew" vs. "you" (which matters in some Welsh dialects), or "fir" vs. "fur" (which matters in some Scottish dialects.) In addition to that, some of my respellings were made with etymology in mind, e.g., respelling "church" as ćirć to be more similar to Scots "kirk" and OE "ċiriċe."

In addition to the current 26 letters, I added two more for specific sounds: ⟨ć⟩ and ⟨ø⟩. ⟨S⟩ also has a second lowercase form, the eszett. I also included the spiritus lenis apostrophe and the interpunct, as they are the only two punctuation marks that can go word-internally and do help differentiate words (our/ ‘our [hour] ; gil [gill, measure of volume] / g·il [gill, fish organ]).
