Ok so I decided to update my autumn small town island, giving it an upgrade (although still hadn’t decorated the player houses, but I finished the villagers’ home to be themed and stuff, I am thinking about updating the island just so the inside of the player’s homes can be done but I am burnt out and lazy atm.)

Now I am kinda going for a more rural and chill theme with hints of cryptidcore and paranormal stuff cus why not, it’s gonna be October soon.

Oh and before you ask “why does this island take place in earlier winter” idk I just thought the colors of the trees (especially the cedar trees, my beloved) look cool please don’t acknowledge the winter decorations of the Plaza and Nook’s Cranny tho.

Anyway the Dream Address is still DA-5614-3551-2522, go ahead and visit it if you want, I worked hard on this island and the theming and I hope you guys will have a great visit there :D

socal- There is an island in Southern California that is home to a herd of bison, The Avocado Capital of the World is located in Southern California, you can thank SoCal for many hits that have played on Broadway, the aesthetics i used are beach day, greyish blue and Indicolite

Austin- Austin is ranked one of the most dog-friendly cities in the U.S. and Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World, I used green academia and vibrant academia

dc- he would love ducks and I put liminal space and Studyblr bc I like that the whole fandom agrees gov/dc works all the time

Miami- Miami is a great place for star-spotting, Miami was a popular spot for pirates like Blackbeard, Gasparilla, and Jean Lafitte, Miami is known to have the world’s largest collection of art deco architecture and Like gazing at graffiti murals? Head to Wynwood they look cool ngl, and the aesthetics i used are party animal I also used that to ref Miami's nightlife and i used chaotic academia

Chicago- I used brown aesthetic and Musical Academia also i found facts for Chicago, Chicago is known as the United States railroad capital and Chicago’s the birthplace of modern architecture

So there is apparently a small, small island in Boston Harbor that:

1. Is covered and uncovered by the rising of the tide.

2. Has an obelisk-like structure, meant to warn sailors of the shallow reef around the island, on it that is covered and uncovered with the rising of the tide.

3. The island is called Nix’s Mate and no one has any idea WHY it’s called this, just that it is and always has been. It’s even in records of the Commonwealth that it’s called Nix’s Mate and no one knows what or who Nix or the “mate” is or where this name came from.

4. And that there may potentially be at least three ghosts of pirates on the island because pirate’s bodies were hung there as a warning to deter sailors from piracy.

So we basically have an island that appears and disappears depending on the time of day, has an obelisk-like structure on its shore to serve as a warning to others, a name no one knows where it came from but that it’s always Been That and potentially pirate ghosts.

So I find it incredibly amusing that apparently a ferry from Provincetown to Boston wasn’t paying close enough attention I guess and accidentally crashed into this incredibly ominous, maybe haunted little island.

Dear creative people who are 3 months into ACNH and are also into the cryptid/witch/goblin aesthetic!

So I need some help! I FINALLLY managed to get my grubby, slimy mitts on a Nintendo switch and it's on its way now! I've been so excited to get my hands on it for a while but I'm really stuck on what to call my island or my character.

I already know I'm choosing northern hemisphere and the aesthetic I have in mind is very cottage core/ witches town/ ish and I hope to have a very desolate, mountainous, adventurecore aspect.

The villagers I've picked out are very cottage core feeling, northern inspired; Erik, Flurry, Bianca, Vic, Marshal to name a few.

A middle name of mine is Celeste, but I certainly can't use that considering that name is already taken by Blather's sister. Other ideas I've had are Pebble, Shroom, Moth, Crow, Fern, Moss, Sprout and Marrow (yes like inside bones).

I was thinking, because of the northern theme calling the island something like "drude" or "mare" which are both nightmare demons of germanic and norse folklore respectively. Considering one of my NL towns is called "Hallowyn" in which my character is called "Ghoul" I like a certain cryptic aspect to my games.

If anyone has any ideas on what to name my island based off of my idea, even if I don't choose it, I'd be really grateful for the help, please and thank you!

Hallo, could I get a matchup? I go by he/they, and I am 5’5 (rise up short kings!👑) I am an INFP-A, a proud slytherin and socially awkward most of the time. I am not good at starting conversations, with people I don’t know that well, but I am very talkative with close friends. I have dirty blonde hair and gray eyes. People often mistake me for being sarcastic, because I generally speak very monotonous- I’m very blunt most of the time, and will sometimes accidentally say something not very well thought out. I prefer staying inside and playing video games, reading og drawing. My top 3 games are: Minecraft, Beat Saber and Terraria. I am not the best at PvP in Minecraft, but I want to get better👨‍🦯. Most of the time I will be the one building huge houses or contraptions instead. My favorite Minecraft biome is the Mushroom islands, and my skin is a Mooshroom🍄
