Some crazy stuff happened offline lol to be brief:

i was put on "involuntarily mental health leave"/Evicted/stranded in michigan. 1 week ago from today. (IT HAPPENED JUNE 28th today as of this post its JULY 5TH) I'm from Chicago and still reside here permamently. I'm alright but shaken up. Was working out there as a cook at an artist residency. No prior HR dealings rather felt unsafe and threatened by a white housemate (more than 1 instance of strange and transgressive behavior and lack of boundaries) and they basically said i was suffering a mental break and kicked me off campus. GAVE ME 3 HOURS TO GET OUT. and told me i couldnt return to work until the 18th.

Update:

As of July 17th i was terminated effective immediately within 13 minutes of my last "mental health check in." 🥲 slay

I watched the school for good and evil today and I gotta say: for the amount of diversity present the writing was painfully hetero-normative

I’ve been trying to get myself to draw for the past few hours. To make something in memoriam for a content creator I deeply respected and yes, loved, even if it was purely in the way of enjoying someone’s content and presence on the internet. To try my best to give even a tad of the respect he deserves.

But every-time I try to start, every-time I think I’m going to, I stop. It feels too final. To draw him, saying goodbye, it feels like it’s a last time. Even if I know I could continue to make content, that others may as well, that his memory lives on... The last finished piece I made, he’d made a tweet. The next one I make, he’s gone.

So for now, I will say this, even as inconsequential as it is:

Rest easy, Technoblade. You will be missed dearly. I’m so glad I got to be apart of your community, for however short of a time it was. I hope God hesitated, just for you.

watched the first Trolls movie today and it was fine but it didn’t really vibe with me, because I liked Branch’s character but I didn’t really like the way he was handled.

to me, it read as “this person’s behavior is outside of the norm for his culture so everyone is mean and dismissive towards his feelings but at the end, they fix him so it’s all good”

guy who's stuck in a timeloop for so long he stops wanting to leave it. guy who started out trying to escape but slowly grew used to and became comforted by the familiarity of the repeating day. guy who is no longer who he was before the timeloop. guy who is offered a way out and violently refuses it because he can't leave, doesn't want to leave. guy who escapes the timeloop by chance or force or accident and doesn't know how to live anymore. guy who keeps going through motions that don't match the situation and keeps having conversations that aren't actually occurring. guy who panics every time he realizes he can't predict the next instant. guy who left the timeloop but still lives with it.
