tl;dr - isla grew up with a disinterested viscount father and a resentful brother, never fully accepted by the men in her family. while her mother was warm there was only so much she could do to reduce the chill felt in the sinclair home. her mother's side of the family, the arundels, always welcomed her and so she finally found those close family ties that she had been denied. loyalty to them runs strong and she will always do her best for them, using intellect to try to do whatever might be beneficial for them.
tw for miscarriage/infertility
the marriage between alexander sinclair, a viscount, and elspeth arundel was not a happy one but the pair managed a functional relationship. the viscount was cold to all, clinical and cutthroat but successul in retaining the wealth that he come with the inheritance of his title. they had a son quickly after their married, campbell, but struggled with fertility for years after. elspeth suffered miscarriages before eventually having isla.
alexander was not impressed by a daughter, the reason that he'd kept trying being that he'd wanted a 'spare'. he was disinterested in his daughter aside from the fact that he might be able to secure a connection with a match for her when she was older. elspeth, however, was thrilled after years of heartbreak, finding comfort in her children while she got none from her husband.
but where her father simply seemed apathetic towards her, campbell was outright resentful. for eight years he had had the undivided attention of his parents and while isla was no competition for their father's focus let alone affection, elspeth doted on her. her mother treated both children with equal care and love but to a son unused to sharing it seemed as though his mother's attention had been diminished by isla.
as much as she might be loathed to ever admit it she was still her father's daughter. his intelligence and calculating manner was something she seemed to have inherited. their similarities went unnoticed by most, however, with only her mother noticing and deciding that isla should spend more time with her cousins lest her lonliness drive her towards a cruel nature.
the arundels provided her with the warmth and welcome that she had been denied and she quickly became attached to them. reluctant to leave and always begging to return. her mother indulged the relationship as much as possible, taking frequent trips to see her brother with isla.
a close relationship meant that when she was finally introduced to society her cousin, alastair, was happy to begin to include her in family business. finally feeling valued, isla thrived in the environment using the skills her mother had instilled in her to be the perfect lady and win people over whilst still being impartial enough to give shrewd advice.
there was a brief spell where her father took an interest in her, seeing what she had been capable of but while he opened the door slightly to her being included campbell slammed it shut. after that she firmly distanced herself from the sinclairs aside from writing to her mother.
on the surface all is well with her family, her father and brother would never risk the scandal or whispers that knowledge of the dysfunction would bring so isla enjoys a healthy allowance as long as she brings no shame to their name. it's this that she used to help her cousins wherever she can and enjoy freedom away from her father.
connections: -
friends - while isla does prefer to keep a small, close circle those that she does include would be seen as almost family to her. she would probably have to see them as equals in some way but there's a variety of ways this could be accomplished!
pen pals - isla likes to be well connected!! they could be connected through her father somehow or anyone who might have been to the UK.
fellow aesthetes - she's a bit of an enjoyer of art and architecture though it's probably not something she offers particularly readily. but anyone who might share those views with her and lead to her talking about something she genuinely enjoys.
suitors ( past or present! ) - wealthy and titled, isla would be a valuable match for anyone and it's likely that a fair few have tried, unsuccessfully. whether it be due to isla's own disinterest or perhaps her father not deeming the match good enough, there's likely been a few spurned. there's an option for the dynamic to have turned positive though! perhaps a friendship developed or some mutual respect or perhaps they just avoid each other and pretend it never happened.

while I love the project sekai story as is and think it’s fun having everyone in the same town and high school, I also think it’d be super cool to have more variety in ages, etc. anyways it’s the kind of thing I would write one of those huge in depth au fics for if I was into that kind of thing, but I’m more of a one-shot and leave it kinda person so instead I’ll write out my thoughts here.
Leo/Need
leave them the same lol. Leo/Need’s story is obviously very focused on the whole high school thing so changing it doesn’t make sense.

honestly I’d say leave them the same but also it’s be funny if they were college students. akitoya have been performing together since high school still. kohane’s parents freaking out because their little girl went off to college and went wild. actually it’d be great if akito, Toya, and an are all from the area but kohane’s from some little town in miyagi or something. she’s got a bumpkin dialect.

listen. they’re the reason I started this thought process. there ARE plenty of high school idols and even middle school idols but the amount of drama and leaving and coming back it would make so much more sense for them to be older. and also! you can introduce so many more interesting subtleties by having them older. I think it would be interesting for Shizuku to be the oldest, and her to have “aged out” of being an idol at around 25 because she “looks too old” but after graduating realizes she still loves it and wants to come back. Airi, a bit younger, could keep her same story of having been pushed into variety. Haruka is then the youngest of the 3, and graduated early at like 21 for the same reasons as in the story. meanwhile, Minori is still a high schooler. Giving that age difference makes it more realistic for her to have looked up to the other ones as a kid. plus idol groups with wide age ranges are super fun!!! there’s a lot of shock to it in the actual story as well but having these three 20+ veteran idols be like we’re back and our BFF is a high schooler would be SO funny. bonuses to this change is it ups the age difference between Shizuku and Shiho to ~10 years which I think is SUPER interesting.

ALSO want to age these guys up. nene has achieved some level of notoriety as an actress before her downfall. emu, like her siblings, is involved with management of Phoenix Wonderland but she still has her same personality and disagreements with them. Rui is Local Deranged Man. But the funniest thing is, by far, Tsukasa. Instead of this high schooler running around proclaiming his own greatness while getting no roles it is. A fully grown man. Just like with Shizuku, this would exaggerate his difference with Saki and let me tell u I have seen how 4 year olds act around their newborn siblings and yeah Tsukasa would kill or die for saki.

when have you EVER had a group of four online friends all live in the same town? NEVER
if they live in separate places, that makes the sekai itself even more special as a meet up place because. it’s the only way they get to see each other. also we’re changing their ages too. kanade is an adult & the oldest but still the least capable of taking care of herself. constantly gets mistaken for a middle schooler. mafuyu is still a high schooler because that’s too integral to her story. I feel like her being the youngest of the group also emphasizes her prodigy vibes and ena’s annoyance and admiration of her. ena is going to art school, and unlike Akito she moved away to a different town. he’s the only member of her family that she calls. she loves and hates art school all at once. mizuki.... so I actually feel this is super fun for mizuki? the others don’t know SHIT about mizuki. their age, gender, job/school status, where they live, etc. it’s SO much easier to keep your life hidden when you never see each other irl. when they discover the sekai for the first time, mizuki has a panic attack afterwards about having been Seen.

so those are my thoughts... I get that if it were done this way it’d be harder to have everyone meet & be friends but I also think some of the relationships could be interesting (Nene retires to be a vocal instructor & takes ichika and minori as students? emu meeting mafuyu at some volunteer event and not having the “you’re older than me” excuse, mizuki & rui being online friends since middle school and having so so so much dirt on each other. they don’t know each other’s real names., etc.) I also think it’d be super fun to have them interacting with vocaloids who are younger than them. akito and meiko sitting at the bar watching the kagamines up to some shenanigans like Is This What High Schoolers Do Now but then kaito joins in and it’s like ah no. they’re just idiots.

KAEER:
1. What kind of person are they in a crisis?
Extremely confident; she thinks she can take on the world (even when she can’t). Leave it to her, she’ll plow her way through most any problem if it can be resolved with claws. She does not handle tragedy well at all however, or anything with a high emotional strain. Happy to be here type, absolutely past her pay grade to be near anything that can bog her down. She’d rather leave that to others. Kaeer doesn’t cause much trouble, but she takes no consideration for damage control.
2. Is your oc a loner or a social butterfly? are they satisfied with how they come across to other people?
Kaeer is very outgoing, “befriend everyone and if that can’t be achieved then you’re my enemy type”. Intense presence and wants everyone to know how powerful she is, all with a grin. Very talkative, jokes around quite a lot. Constant force of motion, never stops.
3. What is your oc’s financial status?
She doesn’t have to worry about money. She’s an assigned killer to Erzatsh by Breaker; anything she needs to complete a job will be given to her. Kaeer doesnt have much time to think about spending money on other activities, however she does ‘require’ fancy foods and the occasional cool thing here and there.
4. Does your oc have a failed friendship or relationship they still think about?
Kaeer is, at least at the first part of the story I’m making, not close to anyone. She’s a hurricane and avoids pain by passing by other’s lives. The only person she’s ’close’ to is Breaker, and it’s not a great relationship to say the least. He’s the only person she fears. She thinks about her mother and father and siblings quite a lot, even though she has never met them. They haunt her, literally.
CLEMENTINE:
1. What kind of person are they in a crisis?
Clem is a naturally reserved person, and she tends to become even more so in the face of hardship. She’s not outwardly comforting besides holding a hand or hugging (she is not a words person), but she’ll try to fix things the best she can. Practical minded, she’s not very good at providing comfort unless it’s advice. Much like Kaeer, she is the type to run, and run fast, from anything that will hold her down, and it gets her in a lot of trouble.
2. Is your oc a loner or a social butterfly? are they satisfied with how they come across to other people?
Despite her job (being a rodeo performer and stunt artist) requiring her to be very flashy and loud, she’s quite quiet around others. Not really a loner, she enjoys spending time with others, just in her own way. Once you get to know her, she takes careful note about other people and likes to talk to them about things they might like. She spends a lot of time and energy observing people
3. What is your oc’s financial status?
On the poorer side, gets by well enough with her job. Doesn’t mind this too bad
4. Does your oc have a failed friendship or relationship they still think about?
Because she ran away from home when her brother was little, she missed his entire childhood, and she regrets this deeply. However, they’re close now

Sag Moon through houses

As the clan cheered Magicburst's new name, with Birchpaw being among the loudest, Mousepaw felt her belly wrench with distaste. She'd never gotten along with Magicburst, not even when they were kits, and she was... weirdly jealous of his new status as a warrior.
Even now, as their clanmates moved to congratulate the new warrior, Birchpaw would not shut up about him.
"Can you believe that? Magicpaw's a-- I mean Magicburst is a warrior now! I mean, he deserves it, he beat that twoleg up real good! I wish I could've seen it!"
"I wish you could've faced the twoleg instead," Antpaw rolled his eyes with a laugh. "No offense, Birchpaw, but you've been talking about this for days. You sound like a moonstruck kit."
"I--" Birchpaw's fur fluffed up on the defense. "I can respect a warrior of my clan, can't I?"
"Yeah, but it's painful to listen to all the time!" Antpaw laughed, putting on his always-funny-and-accurate Birchpaw impression. 'Magicpaw this, Magicpaw that! Magicpaw's so cool! I wish he'd sweep me up off my paws and carry me off into the sunset~!'"
If Birchpaw was embarrassed before, she was mortified now.
"I- I do not talk like that! S-Shut up, he's gonna hear you!"
"You do kinda talk like that, though," Mousepaw finally chimed in, giving her sister a sympathetic smile, though her brow furrowed. "But... Magicburst's... kind of a jerk, you know? He still hisses at me, like, all the time."

"Well, then, how about this!" Antpaw puffed up a little, his tone making Mousepaw a bit nervous. When Antpaw got himself all riled up, Birchpaw was usually quick to follow... and it usually landed them all in trouble. "I've got a plan. One that'll show Lightrunner that we're all ready to be warriors."
"We haven't been apprentices for that long, though..?" Mousepaw pointed out softly.
"Doesn't matter! If warriorship is about achievements, then... well, let's give her some!"

Metalocalypse OC Week Day 6
Fankids
Dethklok adopts again, but does it right this time!
Achlys Wartooth and Nestor Murderface
Haven't quite decided the driving force behind their decision to adopt a kid, but once they're set on it, Olive insists that they need to adopt an older sibling pair- she knows how hard it is for teens to get adopted, and went through the traumatic experience of being separated from her sibling in foster care herself, so wants to do what she can to keep kids together.
They were given the option to keep their own last names, choose one of any of theirs, or pick a whole new one themselves if they wanted. Achlys chose Toki's because she likes him the best, while Nestor chose Will's because he thinks it sounds cool.
They had a rough childhood that I won't get too into, but they were taken away from their parents due to neglect at age 6 and placed into foster care, and were eventually sent to a group home after some difficulties.
They both have some emotional issues, and Nestor has some intellectual delays. Nathan especially has taken Nestor under his wing, as he sees a lot of himself as a kid in him, and Nathan makes a point of doing all the dad bonding activities his dad did with him with Nestor. Skwisgaar, too, relates to Nestor a lot, and starts teaching him guitar early on after the adoption once he notices how fidgety and quiet the kid is. Nestor takes to it like a fish to water, and Skwis is thrilled to see Nestor start to carry his guitar around everywhere, just like he himself does. The three of them end up writing their own little album together. Murderface has a soft spot for him since he chose his last name, and is super proud of any accomplishment Nestor achieves, bragging about him to any and everyone who will listen- including the press. Between that and the album, Nestor starts to build up his own little celebrity status at a young age, which kind of freaks all of them out.
Achlys is significantly more outgoing than her brother, and is quite the little firecracker. Her temper is closest to that of Pickles, and she may or may not join in on kicking the shit out of random assholes with him when given the chance. As I said, Toki is her favorite, and the two can often be found coloring together, or playing hide and seek with the klokateers, or any other number of fun, childish activities. She absolutely steals Murderface's heart when she expresses excitement over going to a monster truck rally with him, and he's never felt more like a proud father than when she out burps him for the first time. Her style comes from Olive, who gave her the opportunity and freedom to really start expressing herself through fashion for the first time, and boy did she run with it. Olive also teaches her some martial arts as an outlet for her anger. She's not very good at it, not yet, at least, but it does help her to start regulating her emotions better.
None of them are good at disciplining, so that typically falls to Olive and Nathan whenever the two act up. Nathan is good at addressing in the moment issues with the same dad voice he uses on his bandmates, and for the more serious stuff, typically Olive can have a heart to heart and get through to them.
Pickles takes them to get their piercings.
Both of their favorite colors are pink. 🙂

Ohh yesss let’s talk about villains!
Though technically I have a whole villain group, if we are being honest there’s more or less two main villains. Morena and the Alderking. And Cameron, if you wanna count him, but he’s not really on a level with these two.
So let’s focus on the first two right now. One is a direct villain, causing the trouble but the other is an indirect one, a bad influence if you will. But the thing is, none of those two were really bad people. They were both corrupted.
Rook, the Alderking, was originally a good and committed husband, brother and king. But he was proud and overambitious. He wanted an ideal world, but as we all know everyone has a different picture of an ideal world in mind, so of course his ideas weren’t always approved of by his siblings.
In all his ambition to form the world like he thought it should be, he brought great changes to his kingdom (some good, some bad) but his own kingdom didn’t seem to be enough. With his siblings refusing to accept some of his ideas, he grew slightly unsatisfied with his life.
He just wanted to help them, to create a better world for them all, so why wouldn’t they understand? (Nevermind that he thought this can only be achieved if he takes over their reign / helps them with it because what’s so bad about this right? Win-win)
Of course The Shadow (the dark ancient force) saw its chance to jump on this unsatisfied king immediately and under its bad influence, the good intentions he started out with turned into greed. And that’s how he became the villain. Good intentions turned sour.

Morena, too, was always ambitious. Her goal wasn’t a better world though, it was a better life for herself. As youngest of four daughters of a man whose family used to be quite estimated but lost that status, her chances for that weren’t really that great.
They weren’t exactly a poor family, they had just enough for a comfortable life - and wine for her father to drown his sorrows in it. But for Morena, her life made her unhappy still.
So she got out. Worked hard to get a good education, to become a court lady, to befriend the queen, to catch the interest of a high lord. And then she got it, her better life. And for a while, it seemed to be enough.
But she grew restless again, as if she wasn’t done yet. And then she found out that her descendant was the Alderking. That her family is supposed to be royalty but was unjustly robbed of it.
And from then on she knew why she was so restless all the time. She set a new goal: to give her family back what they had lost, a life as royal family. And with the influence of her descendant whispering promises into her ear, she set up her plan to bring back the Alderking, for the family’s honor.
You see, the two are pretty similar. Both thought they were wronged by the world. Both wanted to fight for a good cause (a good world, a good life for your family - what we all dream of) but their selfishness and some dark forces got in the way.

Uff this one is tough because I don't think about this all that much.
I actually think the Pale King's design is so cool looking??? From the fact that is so prevalent in all of the game, from fucking poles to statues and seals... Oh and the fact his "bug" form has a lot of horns making it look like a crown was a pretty smart choice to make you quickly go "oh that's a king".
The Hunter: Favorite enemy to encounter? Least one? What is your favorite journal entry?
Favorite enemy: Unironically I love crystallised husks. They're tough but not too much, their design is fucked up, and I do like their attack because it needs you to actively avoid them. On the cute side: mosscreeps >:3
Least Favorite: Flukemungas are such a pain to kill and deal with augh. Also mantis petras because I once died like 3 times trying to do that long room to skip deepnest for the speedrun 1 achievement.

Don’t fool yourself when you hear the name Angelica, or Angel as she prefers to be called. Angelica comes from a very poor family, but somehow, she was always able to be part of the ‘elite’ of Lima, Ohio, the place that saw her being born 28 years ago. She was always a little devil. In kindergarten, she managed to be kicked out because she was telling horror stories to her friends. All while she laughed. In middle school, she used to be part of the bullies team. She used to steal money from other kids, all to look cool and scary… Or at least, that was what people thought. Since she was very poor, Angelica’s parents were never able to give her a lot of things. Yes, she and her siblings would have the minimum to live, and food was never something that was missing on the table. But, if she wanted to have some new clothes or a new phone, she would need to work to have it. But working was always something she hated to do, so she decided to follow in her “friend’s” footsteps and started to steal from the rich kids.
As she reached her teens, Angelica was kicked out of Carmel High. And that was how she ended up joining William McKinley High School. It was the only solution that her parents could offer to Angel. They had no money to send her to some private school, and in there, she would be able to fit in better. Or at least, they hoped. No one, other than her family, knows why she was kicked out of Carmel High, it’s her biggest secret. But, in William McKinley, just like her parents hoped for, she was fast involved in several groups. But, all that, after she changed her looks, and become ‘one of the rich kids’. She was not rich, but she knew how to look like one of them. After spending so many years looking at all the rich kids she went to school with, she knew exactly how to look like one. And with the money she would steal here and there, she got the fancy clothes, as well as the fancy technology to look even more like one of them. One of the happiest days of her life was when she become a Cheerio. She spent a full year training, and when she finally achieved that goal, Angel felt like she was flying. Like everything was worth it. Now, she belonged to the 'elite’ students!
Angelica is very toxic, as well as problematic. As soon as she joined the Cheerios, she become even more obsessed with money and being popular, and that was when she started to mess around. She would sleep with whoever could give her a few more points on the popularity tree. Her favorite guys were, of course, the Dalton boys. They were everything she wanted and needed. They were popular, gorgeous, and of course, rich. But, if she found a pretty and gorgeous young popular, and rich lady, she wouldn’t say no to her either. As long as that gave her a few more contacts, she would be up for anything.
Now, Angel is 28 years old, and she got the life she always dreamed of. She is rich, she parties every single night, she travels, she can get every single boy or girl she wants. And most importantly, she is able to send some money to her family. She barely visits them, and she hates to admit that she was born in Lima, Ohio. She hates that place with all her forces. She tends to lie about the place where she was born and says that well, she was born in New York, City. The place that she now calls home. She is one of the most popular models of the moment, and she is always called to join every single party and event around the world. It’s going to be hard for you to know where she is, since most part of her time, she is flying, or partying at random hidden clubs.

1.) What did you want to do with your life when you were younger? What would the child version of yourself think about the path you paved for yourself?
To be honest, I always wanted to be a performer. Maybe I just wanted the attention. But I leaned that maybe that wasn’t my path; even after a part in one of Artie's films. Attending Brown was a great experience and I spent a lot of time studying women’s history, women studies, and creative writing. I learned to be a bit of an activist. I wish I’d learned some of these ways to stand up for myself before college and maybe then I would have stood out more in the choir room.
I think child me would side eye the fact that I’m a librarian. But would find it cool that I’m a published author and would really love the books I’ve written.
2.) What is your proudest accomplishment? Don’t be afraid to talk about what it took to achieve it and how you feel about it as well.
My books. I hope I’m providing representation for children that have been through the systems the way my siblings and I have. I hope I’m providing representation for all the children who come from home that is no longer the 50s or 60s nuclear family unit. And for someone that wanted to be a performer and wanted the attention, I’m proud of myself for writing my books under a pen name. It’s not that hard to figure out, but it allows me normalcy day to day in the library.
3.) If you could do anything you wanted for one whole day, what would it be and why?
I’d love to perform on stage. Maybe join one of my more famous and talented friends, or former show choir competitors on stage and just sing and perform for the hell of it. Some of my favorite memories as a teenager, are actually on stage.
where are they now?
Attending Brown was an amazing experience for Tina. She started her journey by studying acting, and joining a choir and dance troupe to keep up her skills from show choir. But it wasn’t any easier for Tina to be noticed at Brown than it was in the choir room at McKinley, even after a successful role in film of Artie's. A class in women’s history, turned into several and an change in her program. Tina went on to study women’s history, women’s studies, and creative writing. She graduated with a Honors Bachelor of Arts in creative writing with a minor in women’s studies. She continued to perform, for fun. But with her courses, Tina also learned to be a bit of an activist and began to write for the on campus student blog and started a personal one of her own.
It was on her personal blog, sharing her story about being adopted, the untraditional nature of her family that she got the idea to write a series of children’s books about non traditional families. After graduating from Brown, Tina moved home to Lima to write her book. It just so happened that WMHS needed a new librarian, and although she had zero experience, she knew the school, she knew some of the staff, and Tina found herself with a job that still encourages her to write.
Tina has the worst luck when it comes to relationships. While at Brown Tina was more open to many things and had a couple of short but meaningful relationships with men and women. Although he was her ex, working with Artie on his movie was easy due to the friendship they had always maintained. They even rekindled their former relationship for a brief time. But while they had both grown and matured a lot, their relationship ended very amicably. She maintains several close male friendships, including her exes Artie Abrams and Mike Chang.

The right approach to life 2
Think about what you want to achieve in life or what you want to have in the next few years. To what extent are those dreams going to change your reality or add value to yourself? If that thing does not happen, how would that make you feel?
Have you ever worked very hard to get something, but once you "had" it, you felt like it did not meet your expectations or was not as meaningful as you thought it would have been? whether that’s a relationship that you wanted to have with a particular crush, a high-status position at a company or a closure with one of your previous partners.
What is the explanation for that? Most importantly, what is the antidote to that life scenario?
3. An approach of abundance:
Abundance is an oversufficient supply of a value or material; to have what exceeds your needs. The opposite is scarcity—to be in a position of lack and need.
A random life scenario:
You decide that you are in a life stage in which you would like to be single and work hard on yourself. You randomly meet someone who’s charming and interesting; you both initiate that first shy, superficial conversation, and you realise that they are interested in knowing more about you. Miraculously enough, the conversation is going so well that neither one of you realises that three hours have gone by and you can’t get enough of each other. After some back and forth, the other person mentions their partner in an indication of them being in a relationship, and you feel that small, heavy beat in your heart. Keep in mind that everything is still fresh; you’ve only met them for a couple of hours. But realising that they are "taken" somehow took you off guard and made you feel throttled. You are definitely convinced that being single right now is a life choice that you have voluntarily made, but that interaction started an inner conversation within you:
I wish I was in a relationship. Wait, do I mean that? Do I really want to be in a relationship?
I wish we had met in different circumstances. We would probably work very well together.
Whoever their partner is, they must be lucky to have someone like that. I wish I had someone like that.
Why can’t I have more interactions like that? Why are most (men/women) not this charming?
Another life scenario: the same exact previous interaction. They mention their partner, and you feel that small, heavy beat in your heart. You keep your cool, appreciate them, and express your love for their energy. Decide to sit down alone and meditate on the reason you felt that way. Even though you are definitely convinced that being single right now is a life choice that you have voluntarily made. The inner conversation starts:
That was refreshing. I wonder what it would feel like if we met in different circumstances. Nevertheless, I wish them all the best.
I think I lack the presence of such interesting conversations in my life. Is this a consequence of my decision to not seriously consider getting into a relationship for the past few months, or is it something else?
I genuinely do not believe that a relationship would fulfil me and suit what I want at this stage of life.
I wonder what other conversations I can have with other (men/women). There must be plenty of people that I can have such a deeper connection with and maybe even consider having a relationship with if that is what I decide I want in my life.
The same scenario manifests itself to us everyday, whether it is the seat close to the window of the library that you wanted to sit on but it is already taken. The cool pair of shoes that someone is wearing at the metro station that you always wanted to buy, The excellent grade that your colleague gets on a final that you both revised for together but you did not end up getting, and even the word of encouragement that your parents would express to your sibling. And you will always be given the choice between both approaches.
The first one is a position of weakness and scarcity. You encounter an exhilarating event (something that shakes you emotionally); allow your feelings to take over your inner conversation. express your dissatisfaction with your reality. Completely abandon previous beliefs that you have set for yourself. regarded every aspect of your current romantic life as meaningless due to the absence of that individual in your life and, most importantly, decided to regard the lack of such occasions as a result of the lack of potential "charming" individuals with whom you can have the same type of connection and possibly purer.
The second position is a position of abundance. You encounter an exhilarating event (something that shakes you emotionally); you realise that you have some unfamiliar feelings, which you decide to address in a healthy manner. You balanced between interpreting what you felt and the logical explanation behind it. Expressed your gratitude for getting to live that moment. Respected the beliefs and the boundaries that you have previously set for yourself. And most importantly, you decided to regard the lack of such occasions as a result of a life choice that you have made (accountability) and to consider the presence of potential individuals with whom you can have the same type of connection and possibly purer.
(I used the crush talk because it exaggerates the point; the way you approach your feelings and decide to perceive the events defines your perception of reality and thus your course of actions and your future)
To live in abundance is to choose to put yourself in a position of excess and power. To realise the limiting nature of your energy (due to your physical state) and voluntarily decide to direct it towards appreciating where you are in your current life stage. To realise that your value is unrelated to what you own, acquire, or receive from the outer world. To fundamentally believe that nothing is lost or gained; everything is just meant to happen for you in this lifetime or is simply not meant to happen.

To choose an approach of abundance towards life dictates, in essence, your sufficiency for what life has to offer. This is not stoicism! Your feelings are meant to be felt and meditated on. Your genuine reactions to events occurring in your daily life are a reflection of your consciousness and mental state. To feel a sensation of NEED or dependency towards something is an indicator of a malfunctioning approach to reality and an ignorance of your own value and a deviation from your nature as a spiritual being . A need represents a gap or a void that has not been mindfully addressed. You have basic and daily needs, those should be met. But to regard everything that your environment has to offer you as a need is a form of dependency and an acknowledgement from your side that your being is lacking due to the absence of what you perceived as a need (I will write a blog on the topic of basic needs and how they should be met).
I have been avoiding the topic of spirituality throughout the entire blog. But you are a soul having a physical experience. Your initial nature is infinite energy that voluntarily decided to go through the process of limiting itself to become bounded by physical boundaries so that it could have a physical experience. Originally, you were infinite, once your body dies, you will return to your original form. You are "abundance"! You are infinite! Adapting this approach is a return to your primary nature and a voluntary choice to recognise your own value.
Here are several examples of the ways that I refer to this philosophy in my own approach to life:
When I find myself irritated by someone’s actions or words, instead of thinking that this person is disturbing my peace, I would think that I allowed that person to disturb my peace. Stating the event in that manner allows me to step back and remind myself that my reactions towards my environment are my own responsibility and are what I can control. We do not control what happens to us, but we can control how we approach and react to what happens to us.
I always try to give everything the attention that it deserves based on its real importance and not on how much feelings I have towards it. To identify its real importance, I measure its impact and benefit in my own life. As an example, I learned to never invest in people based on how much I like them but rather on how much they invest in me in return, so I am always meeting their investment.
In my daily interactions with people, I do not limit myself to the version that is presented to me by those circumstances. Instead, I try to approach people based on who I imagine they could be if they reached their full potential.
If I miss a close opportunity to gain something, such as a job opportunity, I try to be grateful for the chance that I have been given and choose to believe that what’s better is yet to come for me.
When I write down a plan or meditate on my dreams, I set no bar for what I can accomplish or reach in life.
I remind myself of the blessings that are filling my life on a daily basis (gratitude list: mention 5 things that you are grateful for every day).
If I had to phrase this approach in one sentence, it would be something like:
Approach your reality abundantly. And fulfil yourself by what you may offer the world, not by what the world may offer you.
