Found this few months old wip in the dungeons and I decided to revive her lol. These are some sketches inspired by some even older sketches of this au I did back in high school! It's just a silly couple of doodles that were just for fun! A lot of these designs were inspired by @chiptrillino and their atla art! Maybe in the future, I'll also give the Fire Nation girls and other characters some designs too!

I personally headcanon Tu'la (the region Nana is originally from) as based on most of the continent of Asia. There are a chain of islands along the eastern side of Tu'la based specifically on Japan. These are the islands Nana and her family are from! I might make a masterpost talking about my ideas for each region and the culture/customs of the people that are from each region!

To show how much I've grown as an artist since last year, I redrew my old Mystreet Nana redesigns (which also happens to be my very first Aphmau related post on here!) I updated a few outfits and generally refined some details. I absolutely love how all of these turned out!!

In order we have her s1, s2, s3, s5, s6 outfits and her pajamas as a bonus!

Like in my original redesigns, Nana's s2 outfit was inspired by @mcdbrainrot and their Mystreet Nana redesign!

Nana Ashida (or Kaori Miyasaki as she's known up until season 5), is a magics using meif'wa originally from the region of Tu'la who immigrated to Ru'aun for college! A lover of all things sweet and pink, Nana is a kind-hearted meif'wa with a lot of love to share. In between her jobs, she customizes dolls and bakes! She has aspirations to one day open her own bakery. She also has autism, ADHD, and PCOS. Her ears and tail are inspired by the Japanese Bobtail breed.

Been a hot minute since I've posted anything so I thought I'd post some thumbnails I sketched up for theoretical posters or illustrations. Could be a good opportunity to show off outfits for my rewrite I have yet to draw and post lol

First time in forever I'm posting httyd art huh

I decided to sketch up a quick redesign of my httyd fan species, the Bright Fury! This beauty right here is named Suncatcher and she's one of my httyd oc's!

I was recently inspired to draw Zane and Nana in what I think they'd wear for their wedding! Here, Nana sports a iro-uchikake while Zane boasts a Tang suit. It's a bit hard to see in this photo due to the lighting, but Zane also has his hair tied back in traditional meif'wa marriage braids! They also both have simple silver wedding rings with gemstones lining the outside. They'd probably have their wedding during the winter for some beautiful snowy scenery!

Fun fact: I had to trace and color in the dragon on Zane's Tang suit by hand. It was very painful but I love how it turned out!

So, confession time, I'm an ex-Aphmau kid. Nana was always my favorite character growing up (aside from Zane and it was probably because I had/have a meif'wa bias and loved pink lol). Over the years, I've been slowly writing a Mystreet rewrite for fun! So, here's her various outfits and hairstyles for the different seasons (1, 2, 3, 5, and 6). My rewrite would definitely be very different from the canon series and would mostly be comedic although there would be moments of seriousness and sincerity to keep things interesting. (nothing to same level of seriousness in the later canon seasons though)

@roxxiespirt made me draw a persona for MCD. So here she is!

Her name is Ariya and she's a meif'wa raised by witches, hence her staff and familiar! During s1, she runs her own shop selling a menagerie of breads, jams, jellies, flowers, fruits, vegetables and more from her own gardens and bakery! After Aphmau and the main cast disappeared for 15 years, Ariya was one of the few people who stayed in Phoenix Drop, deciding to master her magics in order to better protect Phoenix Drop. She wears parts of Garroth's old armor and his old cape to keep the memory of her crush friend alive. She doesn't do a lot of gardening or baking anymore with a village to protect and restore.

An old Nana sketch I did sometime back in early January. Still pretty proud of this one.

Personally, I'm a huge sucker for Zana/ZaneChan so unsurprisingly, I had to include it for my rewrite. These two have literally been my favorite characters since I was probably 12. I just felt in the mood to draw some very soft moments between them. Based on their hairstyles, this is set sometime during s5.

Btw, yes! Zane does have a scar over his right eye. Although he can technically see with it, he can't see well, relying on his left eye mostly to see. He does have prescription glasses but he doesn't start wearing them until the end of s5/beginning of s6. For my rewrite, he's also White/Chinese and is half witch on his mother's side, hence his pointed ears! He would tudor under Lucinda to learn magic.

They are both so silly and autistic to me

I couldn't resist sketching this at least. Yeah Nana looks kinda like a regular sized housecat here tho oops lmao.
