Seeing Twitter users recommending the People Make Games documentary as a good way to get insight on the issue is so….
I know, I’m always extremely disappointed whenever I come across someone who thinks it’s the end all be all explanations regarding the Studio ZA/UM situation.
Recommending that video always comes with a heavy caveat from me that the person needs to stop around the 40 minute mark since the interviewer shows a very clear bias that’s unbecoming of a journalist.
Regardless, now that more people are finding out about these layoffs, which might take out members of the studio that have been there since the beginning, it could finally help smack some sense into those Twitter users that actually thought, FOR SOME REASON, Rostov, Kurvitz, and Hindpere were lying for shits and giggles rather than seeing what's ACTUALLY going on which is that the investors have a very obvious agenda against the real wronged party. Hopefully this'll also open their eyes to how the People Make Games video fed into this twisted narrative that Kurvitz was somehow at fault/responsible for the theft of his own IP, but that might be asking too much from their concrete brains. Here's hoping though!

The thing about CX-Tech and Suppose Crosshair Knows and Crosshair's Hand Tremor and the Raging Silence About Tech When Crosshair Is Bitching At Hunter in Ep 5 about Omega's Capture -
Plan 88. Crosshair risked everything to get that message out. Probably expected to die in the process/as a result. Instead found himself as part of a program that was so much worse.
Now suppose you're Crosshair and you've finally fully acknowledged the evil you're helping perpetrate and then you throw all in on doing the right thing by your brothers and it feels good because 'hey maybe I'm dead but at least I died on the right side.'
And then suppose they try to forcibly twist you into an even worse version of your chip-amplified self and the horror starts to sink in that you might be right back at square one. That you might find them in your scopes again one day and maybe not even know it.
And then suppose you discover that your morally self-assured genius brother does succumb to the process.
And against all possible odds, you escape but you're still right back at square one.
Knowing you could again find yourself gunning for one of your brothers.
So you don't say anything. Bear that burden and guilt and trauma alone.
After all - you're never going back.
Oh - and you get now why Hunter left you behind in the first place.

Genre: Medical, Mystery, Comedy
Whumpee: Himokura Tetsu played by Yamashita Tomohisa
Note: If I had a nickel for every time I watched a drama where the main character is missing a body part, has a shady past and is accused of being a murderer... Lol
(i just really wanted to get that joke out there)
!!Spoilers Below!!
Warning!! A character commits suicide in ep. 8, and also eps. 10 and 11 take place during a lethal infectious decease outbreak and lockdown in a small village, and, considering reality, I figured it could be upsetting for some to watch, so I'm just warning you all.
And another thing: if you're worried if it's phobia-friendly, there's only some insects shown in ep. 1, and no real parasites or insects shown at any point besides that, they're all cartoonishly drawn (it was my main worry since I'm insectophobic, but I could watch it just fine)
Ep. 01: right hand is malfunctioning, pushed, tasered(not shown), lost consciousness, hands tied behind back(with zipties), frees himself by disconnecting his right hand
Ep. 02: grabbed by the front of the shirt, talking about how he lost his arm(lies), his past is talked about, flashbacks, phantom pains, in a lot of pain, someone secretly witnesses it
Ep. 03: chased, fought, saving someone, his right hand malfunctioning, his past is talked about
Ep. 04: someone accidentally triggers his flashbacks, ears ringing, phantom pains, concern for him, lying on the ground, in a lot of pain, his past is talked about, waking up, accused of causing the suicide of his previous assistant (and best friend), phantom pains, concern for him, lying on the ground, flashbacks, unresponsive, reliving traumatic memory, passed out
Ep. 05: waking up from a nightmare, it's revealed to others he has troubles with sleeping and ptsd, talking about his past, phantom pains, falling to his knees, disconnecting his arm, concern for him, pushing a friend away, (flashback: argues with his best friend, chased, trying not to let him fall to his death, his right arm got shot off, his best friend fell and died), crying
Ep. 06-08: none
Ep. 09: someone accidentally disconnected his right hand
Ep. 10: flashbacks, isolated in a village during ebola outbreak
Ep. 11: continues to be on lockdown, his best friend got infected and assumed dead for a moment, crying, fell to his knees

People questioned AFO's characterization in Naive Melody? I thought it was great, this coming from a simp.
there’s a different contingency of simps that wanted him to be more “complex” ei wanted him to have a more obvious tragic backstory or reveal that actually he wasn’t as bad as he seemed and was only pretending to be irredeemably evil for some noble ultimate goal like a shitty tiktok romantasy love interest. Others don’t like the fic because i go against the fringe fandom idea that AFO and the League are actually the real good guys simply because they go against the canonically flawed hero system.

People honest to fuck keep telling me "But Hamas WANTS this war/as many Palestinians to be killed as possible!"
And like.
??????
So we are now doing EXACTLY what we convinced ourselves some Evil Enemy Force is secretly or not so secretly wanting us to do - commit absolute atrocities and human rights violations en masse - because at least we're doing it for. what. To bring Peace and Democracy? Enlightened Western Values? Freedom from the Evil Enemy Force that DEMANDS we do exactly the brutality we're getting away with?????
What kind of logic system is this supposed to be???
"Every Muslim should come out and publicly Condemn Hamas, else they're basically Terrorists - oh but don't you see, Hamas WANTED us to bomb this NICU, they DEMANDED we leave these babies on ventilators to starve, suffocate and ROT surrounded by the things their now-also-dead parents brought them, HAMAS wants us to do all of this and so we obliged! All hail the Western Democracies and their endless pursuit of human rights and liberty!!!"
You lie to me that "we" are the bastion of humanity's human rights, but your definition of "human" doesn't include even NICU babies if they are inconvenient (and don't fall under your definition of "Western").
Fuck all of this.
"Hamas wants this, so that's what we should do. Oh but anyone criticising this bombing campaign in any way is Hamas AND A TERRORIST!!! MORE BOMBS!!!"
