My favorite kinds of ships are ones that make sense. I just can’t get enough of those make sense ships.

Sometimes, the context makes the "He would Not Fucking Say That" dialogue the only reasonable option.
Nuju, in any Earth-based human AU, would be the first person to tell you astrology is a load of crap. You think you can predict the future using the position of the stars? He will laugh in your face and then give you a two hour rant about why it's total BS.

You posted about getting married young, and I just wanna say thank you? I got really lucky and met THE woman when we were 17, and engagement is in the horizon for us at 22, 23. Sometimes it gets to me when people say we're wasting our youth, it's nice having someone batting for us
Also love the pfp, carmilla fans are still alive and well and if you've got any fanfic recs lmk
Congrats! I hope it works out for you. (I would say "girl" at 17, not "woman," but I assume it's just a random word choice since it sounds like you're the same age, so not a big deal.)
While I of course don't advocate for child marriage- ie marriage below age 18, and really I think 20+ is wiser -the whole "date around or you're Wasting Your Youth!!!" narrative pisses me off, like I said. I grew up with that shoved down my throat to the point where I believed my own desires to just meet the right girl and stay with her forever were just youthful romanticism; that I'd "mature" and want to date more people instead of wanting to settle down. (And for some people that is the trajectory! And that's fine! Just...not everyone.)
When your mother got so lost in the Swinging Sixties sauce during her own teen years that she goes too far the opposite way of most parents, I guess?
Yeah, someone might regret a young marriage. But they might regret ANY marriage- that's just a risk you take when you get married. Trusting people to know their own minds in relationships that present no actual red flags is important, even for teenagers. Teaching young people not to trust their own (harmless) emotions and desires for their lives because it doesn't match what you'd have them do seems horribly backwards to me. It's a dangerous precedent to set for them.
When I was 16, I thought I'd be perfectly happy if I married a girl I met at that age- when we were older, of course. Now I'm 30, and guess what? I still think that. I would have been satisfied. Hell, I wish that had happened. It's not right for everybody, but it would have been right for me.
I hope things work out for you two!

I know people talk a lot about the absence of LGBTQ representation in KOTLC, but like, that’s just a product of the matchmaking system right? The system is like 100% based around a) keeping relatives from getting married and b) optimizing genetic compatibility to reproduce the best offspring. Since the whole thing is sorta based around reproduction it makes sense that they only match people who reproduce
(I’m annoyed with the match system anyway tho)

okay okay hear me out... juniperfoot x myrtleclaw... they bond over being stuck in the medicine den with injured tails!!!!! maybe you can throw sandsnap in there and make it a poly if you want :333
also I am so normal over nightpaw's mentor being mossfrog... considering close lionsong and mossfrog were and how much moss is grieving lion... I kind of imagine nightpaw, the daughter of one of the medicine cats who tried to save lionsong, being the one to help mossfrog get out of her grief... ueueueuueuue

re: bill fraser a man of taste - recently i was thinking about how bill is like somewhat well adjusted, great officer, probably normal in his taste of men. and then there is. paddy.
oh anon let me introduce you to the Respectability Chart. so, this is something my flatmate and I have talked about, how the level of adjustment of MLMs on Rogue Heroes goes on a spectrum of Fraser to Paddy, and I have now actually put it together, because it turns out I'm incapable of answering questions without graphs:
so, yeah. Fraser is somewhat well adjusted considering the circumstances, Eoin and Augustin are vaguely put together but have feelings for Paddy, and Then There Is Paddy.

You get what you came for, what you stayed for
I only know how to satisfy your craving
This is what you crave
Know what you're made of, what you're made of
Flesh and bones won't lie
They won't lie
Free animal, free animal
My heart beats in patters to the broken sound
Free animal, free animal

More Ninjago crystalised angst rewrite ideas because I’m mean lol (spoilers lol)
But but but
How’s about we try to half wrap up Mr E/F is echo arc :)
It’s specifically Mr F who takes down Zane’s jet and he ends up crash landing as well. And he also falls apart but puts himself back together just as quickly bc yknow he’s just used to it at this point. But zane is still in pieces.
Pixal ends up finding them, and they get into a little fight before, for some reason, Mr F helps distract some crystalized zombies and ends forming an uneasy alliance with Pixal for unknown reasons.
This means we also get sog reunion :)
But then Zane obviously dies. His core is fully busted and Pixal has to say good bye and everyone leaves to fight. The camera focuses for a second on Mr F watching as Pixal says her final goodbyes.
When everyone has left the room, only Mr F remains. He rises ominously over Zane only take off his helmet to reveal himself as echo zane. He opens his chest compartment to reveal that despite being scrap, he also has a working core just like Zane’s. We see him reach inside and it cuts to the next scene.
Which would probably be Pixal and the characters talk but then Zane shows up and he’s fine. He explains he just woke up like normal. They look back into the room and echo is no where to be seen. Perhaps, the only thing left is the discarded helmet.
~~~
Yeah when I said half wrap up, emphasis on half because I’m aware this just causes more questions than it answers. Where did echo go? Did he die? Or did he swap the cores and manage to make it out? Maybe he’ll survive, Echo Zane always bounces back. How did UV and Killow feel? Maybe he told them before hand? Bc if not I feel like they’d be too shocked to go and fight? Why did echo even switch sides? Maybe it’s bc he had a moral crisis once he achieved his goal of ending Zane and realised he didn’t actually want that and all of this was an unhealthy coping mechanism :)
Idk but I don’t think it would be easy to actually answer all so this vague ending leaves it up to fan interpretation and tbh I think the Ninjago fandom would probably do a better job at finishing the story than what could be done with the limited crystalized time anyways lol.
On that note, tonight my sister also informed me that one reason she bought a flashlight with a UV setting specifically is so she can check for uranium glass when she goes antique shopping, and I really love that she and I have always been and continue to be such similar brands of weird.
