Season 6 Jeff Winger was not the Jeff Winger from the first seasons. Dude started treating his friends, especially Abed, so badly! It was like all the character development from the first 5 seasons got thrown away. He fucking hit his friend! The Jeff Winger I know would've never ever done that and I'm beating up the writers
The writers of the show gave him amazing character development, then just stripped it away in the last season. Of course he was not completely ruined, but he did hit one of his best friends for no reason and the writers left him all alone and let him become an alcoholic.
Propaganda:
Jeff Winger deserves recognition, he had so many amazing moments and he's truely just a poor traumatized bisexual babyboy with daddy issues and the writers were idiots for how they portrayed his mental issues as jokes throughout the show. They gave him a mid-life crises twice, and for what? I bet they are going to give him a third one in the movie because, why should Jeff Winger be able to be happy? Just compare one Joel McHale interview to the entirety of Community, and you can see that Joel McHale will genuinely smile more in that single interview than Jeff Winger did in the whole show. It's just sad. I love Jeff, and he deserves better.
love when a dynamic is like. this would be deeply toxic for anyone else but considering the people involved this is actually far and away the healthiest option
NOT gentle reminder that Abed Nadir’s father is canonically Palestinian, his grandfather lived in the Gaza strip, and his cousin Abra visits from Gaza in season one. You can not be a Community fan and a supporter of Israel.
