So I found out today that apparently my Insta posts haven’t been cross-posting for like MONTHS because now IFTTT has some sort of paid thing and my little ND brain missed the notification about that happening…

🇬🇧⬇️ Heute mal was Fachliches: Die Hope Socks sind tatsächlich das anspruchsvollsten Jaquardmuster, das ich bisher gestrickt habe. Und ich bin schon überrascht und ein bisschen stolz auf mich, wie gut es klappt. Als Grundfarbe habe ich ein Tweed-Garn mit bunten Akzenten verwendet, dessen Effekt ich mir aber etwas anders vorgestellt hatte. Teilweise sind die Sprenkel sehr locker und sehen eher aus wie bunte Fusseln... Am liebsten hätte ich etwas Gesprenkeltes mit Handfärbe-Charme gehabt, hatte aber kurz vor Weihnachten keine Zeit, groß zu suchen. Zudem mag ich wegen zwei Strängen auch eigentlich keine Bestellung aufgeben und mein innerer Geizkragen sträubt sich auch, so etwas Teures und Kostbares ausgerechnet für Socken zu verwenden, die in unseren Winterstiefeln doch ganz schön beansprucht werden. Wie sehr ihr das? Insgesamt "passt's aber schon", wie man hier sagt. 😁 --- Let's talk shop today: The Hope Socks are the most sophisticated colourwork pattern I have knitted so far. And I am quite surprised and pleased how well it's working out. For the main colour I chose a yarn with a colourful tweed effect that I had imagined a bit differently, to be honest. Sometimes the speckles are hardly attached to the main yarn and look more like lint... I'd have loved a beautiful hand-dyed effect, but with only a few days until Christmas I didn't have time to find something adequate. Also, I don't like placing an order for only two skeins and in general, my inner Scrooge doesn't like the idea of using something so costly and precious on socks that will be strained in our winter boots quite a lot. How do you see that? But overall, I'm happy with the result. We have the most beautiful October weather, but it is for sure getting colder. Which means that one by one I get all my lovely sweaters out of their summer hibernation. 🙌 This week I mainly wore my Meander Sweater. #meanderSweater. Here are the beautiful colorwork sleeves of my Abenteuer Sweater for this weeks #sleeveappreciationsunday by @knithalie and @abbygoodknits 🧶 I feel like small details matter a lot - they make the different between an okay design and a great one. When I knit my Abenteuer Sweater I experimented with several different ways to end the sleeve. I also made a version where I used the purple contrast color for the whole ribbing below the colorwork. But that looked just too massive and I felt it whole design lost its light and airy vibe.
