Please is there any chance we can get any more Deaged!Luke Mando Foundling AU. It’s such an exciting concept
y’all can thank @brassknuckled for this one
(Mando Foundling Luke AU can be found here, here and here)
Sundari’s domed barrier was a solid mass from the outside; a thick, sandstone-colored wall that blanketed the city from one end to the other. It stood tall over Mandalore’s barren plains, once a vibrant forest, now stripped and harvested to miles of sun-beaten rock. The dome sat rigid and heavy amidst the flat, sandless desert, looming like a solitary mountain.
It was a very different scene on the inside.
Its exterior walls were opaque and featureless. The interior, conversely, was perfectly clear — almost invisible to the naked eye. It allowed a seamless view of the world beyond the dome, and whether it was made from tinted transparisteel or was composed of one giant viewscreen projecting a holofeed, Luke didn’t know.
All he knew was that this was not the same Mandalore he had landed on.
It wasn’t fear that halted him in his tracks. Not really. The view was striking, but a wordless part of him knew what he was looking at, even if the rest of him didn’t. The Mand’alor stopped beside him, perfectly in step, likely watching Luke’s movements as carefully as a hawk-bat. He didn’t trust Luke not to run. But he was wise not to.
The sky blazed above them, stretching endlessly across the desert. Waves of kyber-red and ocean-blue streams cut through the atmo, as bright as a lightsaber blade. There were no clouds. No ships. This, Luke realized, was what Din had meant when he’d said the New Republic could not be reached on the comms — that a messenger could not fly to meet them due to an “electrical storm.”
This was no electrical storm.
Whatever it was, it went further than Mandalore. Streaks of violet light dissected the sky, but it shone behind Concordia; well past the stratosphere, past any cloud formation or aurora it might’ve been mistaken for. Branches of red and blue blended together and speared deep into the reaches of space, wide and jagged, like planet-sized bolts of lightning.
The Mand’alor lingered at his back, but Luke was only half-aware of him. The cuffs around his wrists burned, the pain a muted, secondary sensation. Attempting to use the Force with beskar-forged inhibitor cuffs on was reckless, Luke knew this well — he made no conscious attempt to call upon it, but it roared inside of him all the same, desperate, wailing.
The colorstorm was a living thing, stretched across the galaxy, reaching, searching.
It took him a moment to realize he was reaching back.
Reluctantly, he calmed the storm inside himself, loathing the need to do so. He couldn’t waste his energy here. He would need every drop of it when he found a way to get these cuffs off; his chances to run would be few and far between. The Mand’alor had cuffed him, but had not bound his hands together, nor had he insisted on guiding Luke by the shoulder — or, Force forbid, holding his hand — after Luke had pointedly ducked away from his touch, asserting his personal space.
It was a privilege, and they both knew it. A privilege Luke was certain he would lose if his next escape attempt was unsuccessful. He couldn’t allow himself to burn energy he didn’t have, unwittingly, in trying to understand the mysterious storm of color that had filled the sky.
No matter how loudly the Force bawled inside of him.
He didn’t know how long they stood there, staring up into space. The moment simultaneously felt as if it had no beginning and no end, yet was short as a blink, gone as quickly as it had come. He was startled from his thoughts when the Mand’alor knelt beside him, and ripped his gaze away from the burning sky as the knuckle of a gloved hand touched his cheek, impeding a stream of tears.
“It’s all right, ad’ika,” Din murmured in his low, modulated voice. The tears fell faster down his face, bolstered by the Mand’alor’s soothing tone. “Don’t be afraid. I won’t let anything hurt you.”
“I’m not afraid,” Luke lied, wiping his hands across his face a little too hard, grimacing as the cuffs scraped painfully against his skin. The man lifted a corner of his cape to his face, wordlessly offering to wipe away his tears, but Luke shied away from him, swallowing thickly.
There is no emotion, there is peace, he told himself, attempting to quell the unexpected flood of tears dampening his cheeks. It wasn’t sadness or fear that had wide streams of saltwater soaking the sides of his face — it was something else, something consuming and hard to name. A longing that came from his very core, a nameless yearning that tugged at the deepest part of him.

TAGLIST: @yoonbbyboy @sugarandsoft @grapesauze @pronerdypanda @mocha-focha || dm or ask me to be added to the list :3
A day in the sun was all you needed to physically exhaust you, though your mind was still buzzing from excitement. The original plan was for everyone to have a meal together at the end of the day, but after the teachers saw how tired you all were, they packed up to-go dinners for you to take to your houses.
Tenya and Shouto volunteered to go pick up the meals for your house while the rest of you set the table and got drinks ready.
“I guess everyone probably just wants water, right?” Kyouka asked as she began to pull drinking glasses down from the cabinets.
“Yes,” everyone sighed.
“I drank water all day, but I still feel so thirsty,” Ochaco groaned.
“We have an endless source of cold water with Todoroki around,” Izuku added with a laugh.
“We should totally use Todoroki and Kirishima as human snow cone machines one day!” Ochaco giggled excitedly. “It would be so creative and refreshing.”
“Using your classmates for free food?” you wondered to yourself. “Well, maybe if we can get some snow cone syrup...”
“Y/n, are you talking to yourself?” Izuku asked you.
He had been watching you set the table and talk to yourself for a moment, something you had picked up from him in your many study sessions together before exams.
“Oh, yeah,” you paused, looking up at him with a blank expression. “I guess I was.”
He laughed softly at your reply. “Don’t worry, it’s not too weird.”
Just then, Tenya and Shouta opened the front door and made their way into the kitchen with dinner.
“Just in time,” Momo said as she and Kyouka brought the last few glasses of water to the table.
You all ate quietly, your bodies drained from the sun. Even four months of hero training was no match for a long day in the sun.
Once dinner was finished and cleaned up, all of you retired to your rooms, though it was still early in the evening.
In your room, you pulled a chair over to the open window to enjoy the breeze. You sat on your phone, looking at everyone’s pictures that had been posted throughout the day.

You found yourself relaxing into the chair, nearly falling asleep, until a chime on your phone jolted you awake.
