Keep yourself and your four-legged friends safe when exploring the coast this winter by following, saving and sharing our top tips:

1️⃣ Keep me on a lead if we're close to cliff edges or fast flowing rivers.

2️⃣ If I go into the water or get stuck in mud, don't go after me. Move to a place I can get to safely and call me - I'll probably get out by myself.

3️⃣ If you're worried about me, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.

More pics from my walk along the coastal path through Porthmadog. The weather was perfectly fine, the beach was amazingly deserted, the path was annoyingly sandy. I've walked approximately 1/8th of this path, over the last few years, and, to be honest, I'm not a fan. Bits of it are truly wonderful - magical - but, as a contiguous route, I believe it isn't quite worth the effort.
