Happy Halloween!

A day of ghouls and specters, there isn't a better time to be a chthonic demigod - aka a demigod of the Underworld! So let's check in on some of our favorite chthonic kids and see how they spent their holiday:

Nico di Angelo

"I'm not exactly the most popular kid in Camp Half-Blood most days, but Halloween is different. We didn't really celebrate it back in my day in Italy, but I almost feel obligated now. I mean, I'm king of ghosts, I think that means I win Halloween, right? Anyways, I turned Cabin 13 into a haunted house for the other campers this evening. I've even got skeletons roaming around, and Jules-Albert is giving out candy. Usually people would be screaming about that, but the other campers love it. It's nice to be seen as cool for a change."

Hazel Levesque

"Camp Jupiter is busy during the holidays! Everybody's going trick-or-treating around New Rome. In the legion the cohorts are giving out candy to each other and holding a competition to see who can get the biggest haul. Even the lares are getting in on the fun trying to prank campers. Frank and I are on duty in the praetors' offices for any trick-or-treaters who come by. Usually some of the houses in New Rome stay open a little bit later though for the centurions once they get off of door duty, so we'll still have time to go wandering later. Plus, we get all the leftovers anyways, so we'll have plenty of treats regardless!"

Clovis

"Oh, Lou Ellen and I made a deal for tonight - she's going as Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service, and she said if she can turn me into a cat for the evening she'll split her candy with me 50/50. And I get to nap the whole time. Not too bad of a deal for me, honestly. If I want I could honestly probably make the rounds again for seconds, since nobody would know I was already there. Total win-win."

Lou Ellen Blackstone

"Clovis probably already told you about my costume, but what he doesn't know is that my cabin is going all out. We're not gonna let Cabin 13 win spookiest haunted house, at least not without a fight! Sure he has skeletons and ghosts, but like, c'mon! That's gotta be cheating, right? Us Hecate kids take Halloween very seriously, of course. Especially trick-or-treat. Let's just say we tend to prefer the trick half a little bit more. We'll see how many campers get turned into animals by the end of the night. Unfortunately, Clovis doesn't count towards that."

Alabaster Torrington

"Well, normally I would be spending Halloween with my family, but seeing as the gods exiled me, I can't. That's alright though - I have a plan. You see, me and Dr. Claymore are gonna go scam campers out of their candy. I may be exiled, but as long as I stay outside the borders of Camp Half-Blood, I'm not breaking the rules, and they never said anything about Mistforms. And I might be able to say hi to my half-siblings while I'm there. Just as long as nobody rats me out to Chiron we're good. I'm sure I can convince them to keep quiet in exchange for king-sized candy bars. Oh, someone's coming - gotta go!"

What a spooky bunch! We hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween with plenty of treats.

clovis is arguably the best boyfriend ever.

☆ not only does he give the most amazing hugs and cuddles but the man can cook up a storm. so expect homemade meals and desserts when your feeling down

☆ hes such an attentive boyfriend, he always knows when your having a bad day and knows just what you need to feel better

☆ he's one of the only people in camp who can get away with having you stay overnight. so expect sleepovers

☆ speaking of, he 100% joins you in your dreams and even though when you wake up you can't always remember them, he holds those moments close

☆ you were with him through the entire war, when he was unclaimed in cabin 11 to when he was finally claimed and had zero control over his powers

☆ with determination and your support clovis was able to keep his powers under control. every now and then he still needs a break and is found asleep in random corners of camp

☆ you definitely became his personal pillow when he was unable to control his powers and now he still lies down on you when he's tired almost as a inside joke

☆ now that he's got control the two of you definitely train together and he's an amazing swordsman especially when he figured out how to put his opponents to sleep

☆ whatever hobbies you have he will sit and listen to your rambles, he will ask questions and buy things that remind him of said hobby for you

☆ he makes sure you don't have nightmare but he can't stop most demigod dreams (seeing as most of them are in link with a prophecy/quest) but he's aware of them and goes straight to your cabin when he senses something's wrong.

☆ hes the type of boyfriend to buy two drinks and whichever one you dislike more he'll happily have.

☆ OLIVE THEORY BOYFRIEND RIGHT HERE

☆ yk those guys getting married who smoosh the cake in the brides face even though they know the bride doesn't want them too but they do it anyway? yeah clovis would rather die even think of being like that

☆ he also definitely hasn't fully planned out your wedding, and totally hasn't see it play out in one of his dreams

☆ he's the type of guy who would wait all year for the release of a movie then wait for the dvd to come out just because he knows you don't like the same movies as him and he's not going to force you to sit through a movie you won't like. and going to the movies without you? without. you. ??? no.

☆ he has the best pajamas and without a doubt lets you borrow them

☆ he would also love the matching pajamas/onesies. he might beg you to wear them with him

☆ speaking of begging, that man has the cruelest puppy eyes ever. one bat of his big brown eyes and your crumbling (your pretty sure it's even worked on chiron)

☆ he's the best guy to bring home as well, he is the perfect gentleman and he's so charismatic. whoever's at home with you will instantly accept and love him

☆ and please don't even get me started on how pretty he is

☆ because ugh he's gorgeous

☆ his wild and curly brown hair with his doe brown eyes. he has the cutest dimples and when he gets super tired he gets the slightest lisp

☆ he owns a pair of light blue bunny slippers he wears unironically and it's the cutest thing ever

random pjo/toa headcanons lets gooooo:

-after trials of apollo, if a demigod doesn’t get claimed after a while he straight up claims them and addresses them as his child

-since nico was stuck in the lotus casino, he doesn’t know a lot of stuff was invented,he looked at will’s nintendo 3DS and went “what in the gods name is that.”

-alternatively both nico and hazel were shocked when they were told left handed people could exist in peace

-clovis pollux malcom clarisse and drew are all one friendgroup. no i won’t elaborate

-whenever they take estelle out in her stroller people always assume annabeth and percy are their parents

-there’s a panic room in the big cabin and only dionysus chiron and argus know about it

- at some point drew and piper reconcile after a long personal talk and even become friends and have weekly sessions to update each other on their lives

- there’s a random vending machine right next to the big cabin that dispenses strictly diet coke and mr. D cherishes it like his own child

-the camp holds weekly support groups to help the campers deal with all the stuff they’ve been through

-for each bead a camper gets, they get a day of their choice where they don’t have to attend any activities to clean up their cabin or anything of the sorts

Then, earlier this week, I came to the very disturbing conclusion that the children of Hypnos and Nemesis (Cabin 15 and 16) are the cousins of Cronos, the aunts and uncles of Zeus and his siblings, and the great aunts and uncles of Zeus’s children.

i love percy jackson as a main character so much but i also hate how op he is. like i love that he has all these powers and is super powerful and gods are scared of him but i hate how i have to stretch to justify someone beating him in a fight. like. yeah he can manipulate blood if he tried but imagin if nico had to push past what he thought was morally right and use his powers to the capacity that percy did? there’s electricity in the brain, what if thalia could control that? what about clovis? hypnos is a primordial, he’d probably be a little more powerful than a typical demigod?
