Aluciandante and Floto were positioned in the lobby of the goldenrod Rangers union. Floto had a large pack of supplies tied to his midsection, and Aluciandante was absentmindedly twirling his rangers Styler, waiting for circuit y arrive.
This was their first true mission in the human world, and they didn't intend on failing. They were going to get those eggs back.
a computer screen flickers, and a few sparks come flying out, before circuit forces his way out
"hello fellow pokemon! sorry it took me so long to arrive! i just had to tell my parents about what i was doing!" circuit says, in a kind, jovial manner.
"so where we going?"

every so often i’ll see a post that’s like “ugh the characters in gideon the ninth seem way older than they are, they were obviously aged down to appeal to the YA market”
and i’m like
HUH
their youth is the point!! the fact that they are teens and young adults and the oldest among them are ~30 illustrates just how deeply cruel this world is!! that children are holding up entire houses, dying in wars, obsessed with being the greatest of their generations!!
mercymorn’s running bit about harrow being so young is not just her being condescending—she is genuinely horrified by how young harrow and ianthe are. especially compared to her ten thousand-ish years. they are infants!!
and don’t even get me started on the kids in nona the ninth, which is even more blatantly about how war permeates every aspect of life, even for kids, and makes them grow up too fast
anyway. tlt is not YA and even if it was, arguments about kids in dystopian novels “seeming too old” will never be convincing to me because 99% of the time…that’s. the. point

I have done it!!!
I, circuit, have helped with the operation "retrieve eggs"
After hacking into the mainframe of rocket HQ, I have successfully retrieved several documents pertaining to some guy called giv- giu- augh! Something like that!
The full files will be listed below, but the important thing is this!:
"if we can break her, we can capture her"
"she left the eggs in a poke center in goldenrod. It is time to strike"
"we will hold the eggs for random, or perhaps even destroy them"
"it's funny, really. The eggs are full. If she had just waited, we wouldn't have been able to do this ... But now, it is all in our control"
Unfortunately for them! I was the one in control! Hahahahahaha!

one of my favorite (/sarcastic but not really cuz its like funny idk) things in fandoms is when people make ocs or self inserts or 'x readers' being shipped with characters, but the oc/sona/reader is literally just another character from the source material.. its like youre shipping the characters but didnt want to admit it, so you made a kinsona and branded it as something else..
and its NEVER subtle, actually its super blatant every time and im always shocked when nobody points it out..
i have seen uncountable saiki k x readers where the description is like:
"saiki meets someone whose thoughts he cant read for the first time, and even though he doesnt trust her at first, she keeps proving that she is kind and has good intentions!" you mean nendo? reader is girl nendo?
"this time, he meets a girl whose thoughts honestly match up with her spoken words almost perfectly for the first time!" hairo. youre shipping saiki with girl hairo.
"saiki meets someone whose thoughts are too fast and jumbled to re-" ITS AKECHI, THATS AKECHI, ITS LITERALLY AKECHI.
"saiki meets someone whose just as immune to teruhashi as he is for the first and only tim-" this is hairo again, awe bae you secretly LOVE haisai ?!?
"saiki sees his old childhood friend for the first time in years after an incident caused them to be apart and then they fall in lov-" WHY DID YOU EVEN WRITE THIS AND NOT CALL IT SAIKECHI.
its even funnier when they say its like that characters little sister, but the way they write it is still literally just the character, like their personality, dialogue, even their relationship, is the same..
not all of them fit this exactly, but the ones that take a boy character and turn them into a girl oc to ship them with a boy, it reminds of how in equestria girls they couldnt make applejack and rarity endgame so they gave them boyfriends who looked IDENTICAL to each other.. thats what youre creating, guys, youre creating heterosexual rarijack.
