Last night before bed, I watched the two Bernie Mac Show Christmas episodes (A Christmas Story and Road To Tradition).
They were so heartwarming (and obviously funny, too).
In the 1st episode, Bernie is trying to make Christmas really special for his nieces and nephew. Because they never got to have a good one before, living with their mother. Of course chaos ensures, but it's a thoughtful episode.
In the 2nd episode, Bernie reminiscences about his childhood Christmas' and the things that made it special for him. Traditions. So he tries to get the kids to do all of these traditional things with him (take a family photo, build gingerbread houses, etc). But all they want is their gifts. He gets fed up and gives them to them early, and takes down all the Christmas stuff. They later realize that it's the traditions with your loved ones that makes the memories special. Not the gifts you get. And Bernie also learns that new traditions can be made.
Both epsidoes were so sweet, and had great messages in them about the holidays, family, and togetherness. I loved them! 🖤
Ruby’s band in the new dw special just casually having a Transfemme lead singer just mmmm….
Yes!
Like sure she’s only a bit part and that kinda sucks but the fact she’s just there casually because RTD has the balls to depict a world where trans people can just exist casually, just…
Yes, yes, yes. More please. It means so much to just SEE people like myself on my favourite show you have no idea. I hope she becomes a regular supporting character.
I LOVE that whenever a show has Christmas, people go "oh my god, this universe had Christian and thus religion" but MLP:FIM was like "pff, no. Christmas is based on that one time we all most froze to death because he hated each other so much and then hugged it out"
