‎Mimi Pretend Drops The Third Single Of Her Upcoming AlbumMimi Pretend is an up-and-coming artist who aspires to be better than her previous self yet, unlike her previous releases, Mimi Pretend has taken a different approach to her latest song “Guys In La”. Mimi Pretend is known for making songs that come with the aches and pains of love and wanting to devour it whole and throw it back up and let it devour you. When asked what motivated her to write Guys In La, this is what she had to say “I decided to write a “happy” song. A song that was about the other Mimi and her world. It is a world similar to my own - old cars, haunted mansion pools, foggy beaches, bourbon, cloves, a southwestern gothic meets LA noir and grunge - but the protagonist is taking all the misfortune with a stride in a getaway car.” Mimi has obviously established herself in this new direction, and it will be interesting to watch where she takes it from here. The lyrics, which provide a vivid picture of a place that we all desire to escape to, are catchy and relatable as well. The song “Guys in LA” is the ideal illustration of how an artist may venture into uncharted areas and succeed in producing something new and intriguing. Chris Ostler from Black Honey co-produced and mixed Guys In La, a song with great production, top-notch, with a mix of electronic and organic sounds that create a dreamy atmosphere. The vocals are strong and expressive, conveying the joy and freedom of the protagonist’s escape from reality. Listen to Guys In LA below Follow Mimi Pretend on Facebook Spotify Bandcamp Instagram

The Howlers share a glimpse of new music with their 'Live From Metropolis' EP
Produced by Harpaal Sanghara (Stormzy, U2, Foo Fighters) East London desert rockers The Howlers have released their debut live EP 'Live From Metropolis' including new track, When the Flowers Bloom Again.
Released by: Dead Centre Recordings
Genre: Indie Rock, Garage Rock, Alternative Rock
Similar artists: Black Honey, The Vaccines, The Amazons, Miles Kane, The Last Shadow Puppets, Arctic Monkeys
Rounding off a triumphant 2023, East London desert rockers
Featuring previous singles 'Nothing To Lose' and 'Further Down The Line', taken from their recently released second EP, the London-based trio are also debuting new material with 'When The Flowers Bloom Again' and 'Once Again (Matador Reprise)' on the body of work out today.
Speaking about the release, vocalist and guitarist Adam Young says, "As a band we have always taken pride in our live shows and it's something we have wanted to capture for a while but Metropolis Studios pulled it all together.
After we mastered our last EP in the studio the team we work with saw the potential for a live recording and extended the invitation to us. The invite was an honour in itself but also a daunting challenge to meet expectations. Rather than playing it safe we thought we would throw in two new songs, or at least the version of those tracks at the time.”
He continues, “Due to other commitments, and also Foo Fighters starting the Taylor Hawkins tribute rehearsals in the studio, we had to record it overnight, finishing at 3am. In all that craziness we are pretty proud of how this record has turned out capturing the raw energy of our live performances."
Earlier in the year the trio released their most accomplished work to date, their second EP 'Further Down The Line'. A collection of four tracks which evidence a leap in maturity sonically, whilst still staying true to the trademark Howlers musicality, it was produced by Chris Ostler and Tommy Taylor from Black Honey and mastered by Felix Davis (Lana Del Rey, Easy Life, Public Access TV) at Metropolis Studios.
Featured on the RockRising Playlist
The Howlers burst back onto the scene over summer with 'Nothing To Lose'. Inspired by soul and Motown, the track is a melting pot of warm and nostalgic sounds blended with fiery and fresh tones, and it was ultimately vocalist Adam Young's foray into the back catalogue of tambourine player Norman Whitfield which led to the creation of the single first and foremost.
Visually boasting single and EP artwork by Brian Cannon (Oasis, The Verve), the images captured at a Soul All Nighter in Wigan, 2012, lend themselves perfectly to the sound and themes The Howlers are conveying with this new project.
The Howlers have quickly established themselves as an unstoppable force in the live arena. Critical acclaim has rolled in for the band from the likes of BBC 6Music, KEXP, BBC Radio 1 and The Independent, whilst their music has also been heard on television programmes and platforms such as Welcome To Wrexham (featuring Ryan Reynolds), Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Amazon Prime and SoccerAM.
Showing off the EP around the country before its release, the band recently completed a UK headline tour which culminated at Hoxton's dazzling Colours on 7th October. In the new year the band will continue their live crusade by joining The Family Rain on their UK tour.
London’s Desert Rockers The Howlers have gone on to receive critical acclaim across the board for their broodingly emotive and ferocious live performances, quickly emerging as one of the UK’s must see bands, gaining support from Official Charts UK, The Independent, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, CLASH, KEXP and much more including programming on Brooklyn 99, Alex Rider, Match of The Day and Soccer Am

Black Honey
Hometown: Brighton.
The lineup: Izzy Baxter, (vocals, guitar) Chris Ostler (guitar), Tommy Taylor (bass), Tom Dewhurst (drums).
The background: Black Honey are one of the indie bands to watch for 2016. They’ve been under the proverbial radar for over a year and in fact they rather like it that way- If it was my way we’d still be a secret band, claims the singer, but unfortunately they made the mistake of writing songs with potential mass (indie) appeal. The usual Annie Macs, Huw Stephens and Phil Taggarts have been clambering to support them, and Spotify plays by actual humans are fast approaching the million mark.
Some of their beautiful music:

Do I Need A Jury Consultant?
Benefits of Jury Consultancy Jury consultancy will be helping out to get prepared before facing the jury. Having a conversation and proving your point to a stranger is a bit easy and also little complicated as they won't either trust you or doubt your actions. The blog is written by Theodore o. Prosise states about how the things turned up to a jury consultancy to be involved in knowing about the trails and to get well prepared.
"Several high profile criminal cases are currently underway in our country: that of Erath County trial of Eddie Routh, accused of murdering former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield, the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the accused Boston Marathon bomber, and the murder trial of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez, to name a few. With such talked about criminal trials underway, the news media has turned to trial and Jury Consultant Services to provide jury behavior consulting to inquire about juries, jury selection, and jury behavior in the sensationalized drama of much publicized criminal cases. And the trial consultants have responded appropriately; in the time afforded by sound bites, they have opined on the role of attitudes and opinions and trial team strategy." Tsonga
Learn more about jury consultant. knowing the benefits of jury consultancy is not the only thing will be helping you out but being wise to choose one. opting for most experienced one is not the only option but choosing the experienced one which dealt with the similar one as yours. Edward explained about a case involving jury consultancy in juryboxblog.
"Given the emotionally charged and continuing media coverage of the case, Mr. Amabile was able to successfully move the Court to award funds to cover the cost of a jury consultant to assist with jury selection and other matters. With Judge Locke's order, Mr. Amabile was in a position to pay me with funds from the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS)." Jury Box Blog
As I said convincing the jury is easy and also a complicated task. To convince the jury you should know about how to approach the jury. It'ss important to have a structure. the trail behaviour consulting explained about the structure and the way to approach the jury in their blog which seems to be the best way of approaching the jury.
"Lawyers tend to build their case themes through abductive reasoning, arriving at broad themes and conclusions from facts and observations. That is to say the case narrative is arrived through the careful examination of all the facts and arguments that end up comprising it. This is not, however, how lawyers should expect a jury to process, interpret, and internalize that same information." Trial Behavior
Making a choice about jury consultancy may be a bit difficult but this video will make things easy for you. Leticia Ostler gave a brief explaination about jury consulting firms which can be helpfull.

Community Voice Responses: (June 11, 2019)
From the May 17 Numismatic News E-Letter
What is the next coin show you plan to attend and how far will you travel for a coin show?
Here are some answers sent in from our E-Newsletter readers.
I attended last year’s ANA in Philly. It was only a one and a half hour drive for me. I would love to go this year to Pittsburgh but that is eight hours away, still debating…
Chris Wilson via Facebook
My next show will be Baltimore Whitman, then ANA Chicago, then autumn PAN, and then the Bloomsbury in London, England in December.
V. Kurt Bellman Harrisburg, PA
I plan to attend a local Houston, Texas show in mid-June [organized by Ed Stephens, a local collector, with about 40 or so dealers].  I just re-entered coin collecting last December, after a 55-year
hiatus [I retired in November] so, right now, I’m not willing to travel outside Texas for a coin show.  In the future, when I’ve ramped up my education about grading, detecting counterfeits, and what I want to collect [definitely not “complete series” collecting like I did in my youth—now I am buying lower mintage post-Civil War U.S. coins in the MS and PR grades, certified by NGC or PCGS]. While I’m finding coins to purchase on eBay, and I plan to soon expand to online auctions like Heritage and Great Collections, I’m sure there will come a time when I will have to consider attending the big shows [FUN, ANA, etc.] in order to view, in person, the widest variety of the rarer coins I am pursuing.
James Sibley Address withheld
April FUN show in Orlando, and I am willing to travel 125 miles.
Steve Atkinson Address withheld
I have not ever found fortune in such an abundance as to attend a show.  Ironically my original goal was to become member of the guild. Not limited to coin, my Polaris is to become a complete member in all which is probably one world wide from the TRUE ANCIENTS such as those written of by Enoch. To the ART the true definition of the Now or present.
Jason Green Address withheld
I plan to attend Long Beach from Dallas. I usually stay local but go to one or two out of town.
Don Ostler Address withheld
