He’s an incredible love bug, and will make a wonderful companion for the right person. A cat with CH often falls down and has trouble walking or cannot seem to walk at all. CH in cats is non-progressive, meaning it does not get worse with age.

Cerebellar Hypoplasia occurs when the cerebellum, the part of the brain which controls fine motor skills and coordination, is not completely mature at birth. CH kitties have a normal life expectancy, they just wobble and shake a bit.

Let’s help Wobbles find a home where they don’t care if he looks a little drunk when he walks. He loves to be held and snuggled!

UPDATE 🔸️ I got this update on Shady a few days ago. His little buddy in this picture is Pecan and she's a survivor. Animal rescue isn't all rainbows and unicorns. Some times you see things that just break your heart. I will never understand how anyone can treat an innocent animal like this. But seeing Casie and her family stepping up to care for Pecan restores some of my faith in humanity. From Casie: "The kitty on the right is Pecan. A neighbor saw someone toss her from a moving car on thanksgiving. We aren’t sure if she had seizures because of that, or if that’s “why” they threw her out. Shady is the only one that will tolerate her. She’s a little odd, and doesn’t really play or act like a typical cat. It makes my heart happy when I see him snuggle with her. Makes up for some of the bad people in the world. I’m sure she will be a foster fail. She can remember where the litter boxes are, but never remembers where the food is. Ever. SNAP Cats rescued Athena from Silicon Valley, CA. Athena is shy at first, but if you give her time she’ll become your best friend. Athena has a very mild condition of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). It’s hardly noticeable unless she tries to move too fast. She uses the litter box just fine, and gets along with everyone (cats and people) here. We would love to see Athena adopted with one of our other kitties, but she can go by herself as long as there’s another cat/kitten in the household to play with.
