its always surreal to me to see people praise s2 of centaurworld. s2 was so spectacularly bombastic and aimless and it ended in this awkward forgettable fizzle.
i feel like a dick saying it b/c i really do love the show lmao. or, at least half of it lmao (/stares at tnwk). gf and i've been thinking about rewatching it just to write out our thoughts on why s2 was such a poor follow-up to s1 - from the tone to the setup to all the worldbuilding the narrative had to offer in between the (far more) memorable songs of s1. idk. it's sad because cw really had the bones of a cult classic, but idek if you can call it that.
ive seen a few posts commenting on its lack of popularity, and i feel like it certainly deserves more, b/c i do feel like it's a novel idea made w/ love, but the shift btwn s1 and s2 wasnt just in the plot. there was a full-on *fracture* in the quality and direction and i'm still scratching my head over it. more than i should be, probably. but, it's just a bummer.

last song you listened to?: i’m listening to music all of the time but as i’m writing this i’m listening to Hail To Whatever You Found In The Sunlight That Surrounds You by Rilo Kiley. in general i’ve been listening to a lot of the Garages and Paramore. so i’m also linking Ignorance bc i keep getting it stuck in my head
currently reading?: i’m rereading the Animorphs series for the first time in years! this is actually the first time i’ve read the series in its entirety, as my personal collection grows sparse after book 30 so there’s some i’ve never read. i’m currently on book 36 out of 54! (plus the extras in there whenever they fit chronologically)
last movie you watched?: uhh i don’t watch a lot of movies. technically Sing i think? i was playing totk and sitting with my 7 y/o brother. he wanted to watch Sing but he got distracted before the end of the movie and turned it off. if we’re talking about movies i watched for me then there’s a good chance it was the new Puss in Boots movie or Into the Spider-Verse but it’s been like a couple months
craving: toasted bagel. butter on it. the good stuff. the creamy kind of butter. tim hortons does it right. also i could go for some dark chocolate
what are you wearing right now?: uhhhh some kinda kapris (?) with grey flower and triangle patterns, and a muscle shirt (?) i was just gifted with pride flags on it. it’s hot as balls. if it weren’t hot as balls i’d have on one of my fave tees, and my Houston Spies bomber jacket or one of my beloved long coats
how tall are you?: 5’2” and a half, which i only found out last year when i finally asked at a visit with doctors
piercings?: nah i’m too much of a baby abt the pain and don’t want to deal with maintenance, but they look cool as hell on anyone
tattoos?: same as above but i’m more likely to be tempted into getting something small someday
glasses? contacts?: i’ve been wearing glasses since elementary school, they’re an all day necessity for me. i gotta get new ones, i’ve had these lenses for years and the frames for even longer whoops. the prescription definitely doesn’t line up anymore
last drink?: iced capp from tim hortons hehe. i don’t consume a lot of caffeine but that shit slaps and cold drinks are a must in this weather
last show?: i also don’t watch a lot of tv! uhhhhh i’m drawing a blank. there’s a chance it was Centaurworld but that was a WHILE ago (and i’ve been thinking of rewatching it soon)
favourite colour?: purples and teals. also browns when there’s a saturated accent colour with it
current obsession?: split between Blaseball (the brainrots been going strong since october) and several different groups of ocs. and also Animorphs i missed Animorphs so much i love Animorphs. fundamental to my childhood. i’m getting back to my roots
unrelated obsession?: not quite sure what this is asking! but Tears of the Kingdom is Up There as well, i’m trying not to rush through the game but i’m finding it very hard to put down ^-^’

any pets?: there’s a lot of animals i know and interact with throughout the week. i live with a dog (old chihuahua named Prince) and 3 cats (Charming, Bella, and Mr. Kitty). of those, Mr. Kitty is My Cat part time. he loves my granny a lot too, he’s always either in my room or hers, snuggled up near one of us. he’s one of my best friends he’s so important to me :] my silly little guy
do you have a crush on anyone?: i still am not sure what that’s supposed to feel like and if i have ever felt it before but no i don’t right now. just love and admiration for my pals 🫶
favourite fictional characters: there’s so many my guy. i have a tag for blorbos that live in my brain. the ones on my mind a lot recently are a bunch of Blaseball players, the kids from Animorphs (in particular Rachel, Tobias, and Cassie. the latter two were always tied for favourite when i was a kid but i’ve also found a new appreciation for Rachel as well. man. these kids), the iterators from Rain World, the satellites from 17776/20020, Emmet & Ingo from Pokemon, the list can go on and on and on
last place you travelled?: uhhhh i don’t get out much! i haven’t left the valley i live in for years. i don’t know how far away ‘travel’ has to be to count as travel, the last trip i’ve been on might have been a family vacation into the states? in any case i didn’t go anywhere noteworthy in the past year or more

And to complete the trio, Marcy Wu: Webcomic Artist.
Until the series finale of the owl house imma hold off on too many Marcy and Luz friendship headcanons here and come back to it later but other than that, here’s a few off the top of my head:
Marcy got the trio into Centaurworld and they cried multiple times throughout the series. Even 10 years later they all know the songs. Marcy even convinced Sasha and Anne to cosplay as Rider a few times at cons.
Her blood went back to red eventually but she swears she sees green sometimes.
While she majored in art, she got a minor in theoretical physics. Mostly to appease her parents but also to help her story ideas. After Anne introduced Marcy to Terri (at Terri and Dr. Jan’s wedding) they became instant friends and everyone else believes they’re talking in a different language when they talk science.
Marcy eventually moved back to California because she got a job working as a storyboard artist and concept artist for an animation studio. Anne and Sasha knowing how expensive and annoying house hunting is offered her to live with one of them but eventually they decided to just live together (which was Marcy’s plan to begin with, hehehe)
She often streams her drawing the next page of her webcomic, commissions and playing games. Her fans are jealous that she has two girlfriends (later wives) but they also tip a lot so she can take them out on dates.
Marcy and her parents are doing better than Sasha and hers but not as good as Anne and hers. Her parents aren’t happy that she’s an artist but as long as she can make money, they won’t bother her about it.
Sometimes she hears voices that she recognizes from the Core and believes that a few might’ve gotten stuck with her when Sasha disconnected Darcy. So far they haven’t been malicious and only speak up when she’s thinking really hard in a problem.
She knows that exercise is a good thing for an artist but hates to do so. As such Sasha offered to join her and dragged Anne in too, Marcy now enjoys her exercise time with her buff gf and slightly buff other gf (but Anne still complains).
Marcy absolutely adores Domino 4 and it’ll often choose her when the trio are on the couch or in bed (Anne calls Domino 4 a traitor when this happens). The cat interrupts the streams and besides Marcy’s gfs/wives, Domino 4 is the next most popular thing the chat loves to see.
She still plays the drums and even joined band at her new school. She would’ve joined marching band but Andrias’ sword ruined that.
She still has nightmares about her dying and the Core, luckily Sasha is able to help her with a few breathing exercises and both of her gfs are able to make her feel safe while she falls back to sleep.
Marcy has a friendly rivalry with a friend of hers she met when she moved who also became a webcomic artist/ writer. They usually go to cons together and will do Q&A panels and meet n greets. The fans argue over who’s comic is better, Luzura or Marzipan. (They both think the other ones is better)
After seeing Sasha’s tattoos, Marcy decided to get a few. Just her calamity gem, Joe sparrow, Olivia & Yunnan and a few other tributes to Amphibia along with other nerdy references. She and Sasha are trying to get Anne to get some.
Marcy designed their wedding rings. (Which I’ll draw later)
Her and Mr Boonchuy play MMOs together and stayed in touch through gaming.
That caps off the Calamity Trio. I might have more later (definitely after Marcy’s journal is released) but for now, Who’s next?

HIII!! im the tattoo anon- so honestly i love talking about my tattoos/the ones i want to get because they bring me so much joy - currently i have a moth and two character tattoos! moth is a cecropia; the really pretty red and white ones!! the next one is the pure vessel from hollow knight ( i really like bugs and bug adjacent creatures ). both are on my left arm, and lastly i have the nowhere king, from centaurworld! hes the biggest of the three and is on my leg :) im going to get more soon- the next planned one is a matching sun/moon w a good friend, and then a snowflake moray on my right shoulder
Aw heck yeah, I absolutely adore hearing about ppls tattoos! And cecropedia moths are so pretty, I wish we had them in my part of the world. I had to look up the snowflake moray and holy heck, it's so pretty I love it 💜

More Headcannons for TITF AU
Mirabel’s children are named Delma and Quin.
Delma is the oldest, his power is gravity manipulation. He can basically touch something and make it as heavy or as light as he wants it to be.(Something like Chuuya’s power from BSD) He can also make small manipulation fields because of this where gravity is under his control. This really takes a load off of his Tia Luisa.
Delma is lightskinned, with dark brown eyes and long hair he usually keeps up in a bun. He has freckles spanning his nose and cheeks.
Quin is the youngest, and the quietest. They have fire powers(Think of Dabi from MHA, or Endeavor from MHA), and got a couple of lessons from Felix (Thanks to him having to help Pepa with her powers and emotions often) on how to control their feelings and not burn the house down. They can either set themselves completly on fire, or set parts of their body on fire, with them being able to use their fire as a flamethrower of sorts)
Quin is black, with brown eyes and short clipped hair.
Dolores’ children are named Alexio and Jaquline.
Alexio takes after Mariano alot, being the oldest boy of the family. His gift is being able to fly without physical wings(Like Superman) - however he does have wing markings on his back- almost like a tattoo of sorts. He’s technically manipulating gravity, but just for himself, which is why when he picks someone up, he’s no longer able to fly- however he can pick small/ medium objects up just fine.
Alexio looks like a perfect copy of his Abuela Pepa, with red firey hair and yellow-ish eyes. He often copies his Abuela as a joke and sometimes will get struck by lightning. He’s been struck so many times that he doesn’t mind anymore.
Jaquline has the gift of invisibility(Think of Violet from The Incredibles or Hagakure from MHA) . Whenever she wants, she can become invisible- often accidentally going invisible in certain situations- and when she’s embarrassed or having a high emotion. When she was younger, she couldn’t control it at all, and would often go invisible by accident, leaving her family to panic. In the mornings they’d paint her hand or her cheek- as certain paints would show up, even while she’s invisible(It’s mainly Isabela’s paints from her flowers and cactus’) She can choose who to show herself to as well- she had a fight with Dolores once and didn’t know Dolores couldn’t see her.
Bruno’s kid is named Jasper.
Jasper has a gift, although not from the Casita. Belived to have gotten his gift from his grandmother, although he doesnt know.
Jaspers gift is Portals(Something like a mixture of Wakfu, Portal and Kurogiri from MHA) and can store things in his ‘nowhere space’ which is just the small space that appears inside the portals when he makes them (Much like something in Centaurworld, theres a whitespace in between both portals that one must travel across to get to the next dimension/place. For people watching it’s only 1 to 2 seconds but for him its more time)
Delma is often the one getting in trouble, along with Alexio
Alexio and Delma spend so much time together- their inseparable.
Luisa’s kid arrives when the two oldest turn 10 and the youngest turn 5- she’s 5 already and the Casita doesn’t give her a gift. Her name is Sal, and she loves everything and everyone- plus, she doesn’t really care/ understand the gifts.
Sal and Jaquline spend time together but it’s mostly just reading.
Sometimes Jaquline feels like everyone can’t really… See her.(her gift is invisibility, kids gunna have some issues y'know what I’m sayin?)
Camilo and Quin are gender fluid icons together. Camilo loves Quin so much- they spend the most amount of time together.
Isabela babysits them all most of the time since she’s one of the oldest and she loves all of her neices and nephews and cousins kids too.
In this Au, the adults (Pepa, Julieta, Bruno, Felix, and Agustine(Also Alma too technically)) Were about 10 years younger in the original cannon- and everything that happened happened when everyone was a little younger
HOWEVER Bruno is about 20 years younger in this AU as well, being around 28-29 when the main events of the movie happened. He still ran away when he saw Mirabels future.
Julieta, being the oldest, took over when Alma passed away.

It's been a good day
I got a tattoo (forgot to take photo, wrapped now, photo tomorrow) and Steve made amazing steaks for us and Moss and we watched a goofy Eurovision movie and then tried to watch more Centaurworld but Steve fell asleep on the couch with his legs in my lap and his arm over his eyes like a swooning melodrama actress
#he wiggles his toes in his sleep#we got him to wake up long enough to go to bed even though he mostly shuffled around making zombie noises#moss is on the couch comforting Moishe (who cried when we locked him out of the bedroom last night but Steve is allergic so we have to)#and i just finished reading my book#a good day.
