How come it just now crossed my mind I never shared my new au of OMORI here???
Basically this new AU, is actually a mix of Uzumaki and Tomie by Junji Ito with the OMORI cast.
Been thinking sm of the placements, and I have decided that: Hero is Krie, Mari is Shuichi, Sunny is Tomie(but more and more milder), etc etc. It's actually just mostly these three tbh.
How Uzumaki starts is how this AU starts. Tomie starts as a timeloop for Sunny, and with that Sunny starts to become more and more insane about spirals and basically everything. But for him to somewhat stand his ground or not go totally insane is, to keep himself busy with making friends and having a (somewhat) permanent family.
But you know that ain't gonna work, since Tomie causes people to have an urge to kill her - that's gonna stay here. And you can see where that goes for his "permanent" family.
He does not infect people, but the opposite happens. People infect him, and become apart of him. Very much family drama with Mari and Sunny thought.
Mari has shorter hair here!! So does Hero(his gravity hair no longer exists since that Medusa chapter and shit).
The end of Uzumaki stays the same. But that ending lasts forever for Hero/Mari. Not fur Sunny. Sunny keeps on being alive and that shit sucks ass for him
How the CaveWeb AU fits here (cuz of the tag) is because Uzumaki also helped me with a human ish look for HELLSUNNY. He looks like the mix of those Snail people and Jack-In-The-Box (Jack-in-the-casket actually). Mostly the JITB one, the snail part only is there for the slime shit and the eye stuff with him (spots on his eyes and about his eyes extending out of his skull).
And now that I think about it that same look is with HELLMARI in that CaveWeb AU — They are eldritch horror beings. Gotta give that scary shit
Now that also makes me wanna talk about how Hero in CaveWeb AU deals with his emotions n shit. Since he's an Angel (his form is never really fixed but he does present himself as a human), he can change almost anything about himself —— and so, if HELLMARI were to die in this AU, his breakdown/etc would affect his appearance. His hair stays the same, but his looks go to a completely solid color. The best way I can say it is he looks like OVA Devilman Satan. Uses the wings for like,, to like a cocoon (love that for him).
He basically just turns into a blank slate of body color and looks, as he lets his emotions out ; but he doesn't want to?? That's why he doesn't give himself a mouth in that form. Doesn't want to say any words, etc etc. Yeah

Honestly I really love the lore in this AU,, the art is very expressive and you came up with these lil guys in 10(15?) minutes?? That's awesome 💯
Also, mod, how would the group react to meeting my version of cryptic omori (or moreso,, eldritch omori,, I call that CaveWeb)?? HELLSUNNY and vampire Sunny can be friends,,, when VampSunny can get best the many arms/no legs/long neck/etc (just horror) stuffs of HELLSUNNY
Heheheh thank you,,, the concept of the au itself was formed pretty quickly but then my friends encouraged my insane lore ramblings and it became this blog.

,, you ig wouldn't like the other versions that I kinda talked about your boyfriend. The horror versions (Uzumieri, Sunny is immortal but does very questionable things to not be affected by the spiral that happened in his childhood,, and is kinda technically a skinstealer????? Of himself?? Basically every few months he does, but a new version of him pops up from out of nowhere(and that nowhere is the previous Sunny's stomach, who is in the forest. 👍).
— CaveWeb AU, where Sunny is HELLSUNNY, and also his human disguise; basically a corpse, many stitches all over his body, weird dots around his eyes, and some snail shit that happens from time to time.
— DSAF AU, another corpse but his skin is a different color: jam color, and with his weird ass habits with another version of you with him there: he calls that version of you "buddy" or smth. And also some time in the future he gets stuck in one of the suits, rotting even more n shit.
— Angel Sunny AU, on where he can change his form into anything he pleases. Scary, or not.
And — Werewolf Sunny. Masochist,, and uh. Other stuffs: my fics of that version of him can speak for themselves)
