as I was reading your 'Lockdown Blues' fic and it got to the part where Freddie was supposed to pick a movie, I kept telling myself "catscatscatscatscats" because for SOME REASON that was the only sound in my head and I was DEADSURE that is would be Cats. AND WHAT MOVIE DOES HE PICK?? 😂😂😂 For a moment there I felt so proud of myself haha XD Of course Freddie picks Cats! Anyways, my point with this ask was to say - your fic was adorably amazing and I absolutely LOVED it!!! // moustachefreddie
Hahaha well of COURSE Freddie would pick Cats! xD And his friends love him enough to sit through two different versions of it~ (Brian probably enjoys at least the first watch-through, John is slightly bored but doesn’t mind it too much, but Roger is climbing the walls before they even get to The Old Gumbie Cat.)

Also I couldn’t sleep until like 6 or 7 am and Jester in particular made sure I couldn’t sleep after 9am. She mrrrrrted and dug frantically at my blankets all around my body and outright attacked my feet so hard that even through my light quilt, my feet got legit scratched up with burning little cat scratches I’ve had to wash and medicate.
Caduceus may be part siamese, but while he’s loud when he decides to vocalize, he doesn’t vocalize even 1/3 as much as Jester does.
Jester doesn’t really chat to me, but a few times a day, much like Kai used to, you’ll hear her yelling into the void- though it does seem for Jester it’s her trying to get the other cats to pay attention to her and play with her, and often as she’s calling out, she’s carrying a toy in her mouth. (The other cats usually ignore her other than sometimes Caduceus bolts over to her for pouncing.)
Kai meanwhile is... a lot quieter, not yelling into the void more than once or twice a week now, on top of just sounding different when he does vocalize. He seems to have timing issues when dealing with the kittens, not wanting to play with them much when they want to play with him, and then being mildly upset later when he wants to play or groom them, and they’re not into it.
Solas and Jester are getting closer, she accepts much more/longer groomings from him now, and they’ll lie against each other for a bit.
In general it’s such a happy family that my heart is often in danger of exploding.

no i’m kidding- cas and rose are my best friends and i love them to the ends of the earth- i met cas in elementary when she and another girl asked me to play detectives with them and i knew of rose in elementary but didn’t really meet her until middle school. The three of us all became really close friends in middle school and now having us in the same vicinity is probably too much friendly chaos for nearby people’s well-being.

!!! cats cats cats cats cats cats cats cats cats what are their names what do they look like do they purr are they soft are they nice
i have FOUR of them!! one of them is named after a slang word for an idiotic pretty boy in my mom’s language, he’s the oldest and dumbest and has the silkiest prettiest fur and purrs like a tractor (HES SO GOOD I LOV HIM hes purring right now), and the other three are sisters who are very small but very fast and rambunctious, so they’re named meghna, teesta, and torsha after bengali rivers, where my family is from. i named a minor character in my longfic (iwddos) after torsha because i dont have fantrolls and i needed a 6-letter last name
theyre super soft. torsha is also on my lap and she curls up in almost a circle, way tighter than most cat’s oval-shaped curl up shape, and her fur always sticks up funny no matter how hard she licks it down. she has a perpetually bewildered expression and is suuuper cute and nice. all my cats r good n nice
