And, because I am normal and don't think about these guys for hours every day, here's some backstory:

When Cross first joined, Killer actually took to him pretty quickly (Dust and Horror did not get warm welcomes). Which is to say he immediately started flocking to Cross to annoy him and compete with him on missions. Cross didn't have the benefit of knowing Killer already to see these were affectionate annoyances, so to him Killer was just some guy who had a problem and wouldn't leave him alone.

During that mission, Nightmare was calling a retreat when he put a hand to his chest and realised the heart locket was gone. Killer saw him looking all around frantically and had a good idea what was lost, since it was the one thing Cross would absolutely not part with since he joined. So, Killer ran back out towards the stars to look for it, because why learn self preservation now. It was the first thing to convince Cross that Killer actually was being (relatively) friendly, despite all the annoyances.

i think it's hilarious that everyman assumed caitlin was into barry just because she touched his arm since, as oliver points out in elseworlds, team flash is so goddamn physically affectionate in a very casual manner and it just makes me wonder what he would have thought if it was cisco squeezing his arm or eddie patting his back or iris wiping food off his lips. one right after the other. would he have realized that none of them were dating barry or would he have assumed the guy whose form he was stealing was just a whore

dear ark, how does one achieve such flowing hair such as yours? how does it feel knowing that you have more style than anyone in the poke-world combined?

Idk why, but I can very much see Leo having a breakdown shortly after he meets Malea (@xxlea-nardoxx’s OC from her tmnt AU) and he and his brothers drop off Raphie, Lee, Mike, and Don to their own dimension and stay for a bit upon Malea’s insistence.

He’s tired and has had to put up with 4 other people’s antics besides his own, Lee being the most difficult of the bunch. His brothers were a big help of course, but it’s still that “oldest brother/clan leader” responsibility he is dealing with and his brothers need him too.

His knee is aching—he’s been on his feet a lot, he’s raised his voice more lately (thanks a lot Lee, you brat 😅), and seeing Malea just reminds him of what he doesn’t have and he feels like a kid all over again.

So one day, when it’s just a little too loud and everything’s a bit too much, Malea takes notice and leads him to a quieter part of the house. She asks if he’s okay now, and Leo just fucking sobs, trying to gasp out everything he’s feeling currently and of course apologizing for being so upset.

Sanemi & Giyuu were about 16-17 when they both individually went on an undercover mission in the Kaze no Kuni capital city, they henged/disguised as fake personas Kazura (vaguely derived from kaze, wind) and Nakuu ('to lose')

Kazura is supposed to be darker skinned + two-toned eyes like that of Kazan no Kuni descendants & is sensible and confident but lazy, Nakuu has a hairstyle + facial shape from Mizu no Kuni & an outgoing enthusiastic and pretty sly personality

Giyuu put some particular effort into his disguise and really got into the character he was playing up, he also had fun with it where he could- and thats how he met Kazura. i dont have or really want specifics of why where how or such bc it ruins the imaginative bit of it ig? but while they were on the mission they were meeting up, they both knew the other was disguised but neither pried about it. they fell in love a bit, however it means, but as Nakuu's namesake they were never going to last. it was a mission and when it was done they would leave for home and never meet again.

but then they did :)

at 19 sanemi and giyuu had a political marriage arranged(forced) by Kyogo being a greedy fuck and wanting more trade from the Tomioka, in both the Happy & Broken marriage paths giyuu's the one who notices sanemi acting the same way as kazura in some ways and realizes the two are one in the same. In the Happy marriage its a thought that brings a smile to his face and a jest about how they fell in love twice, in the Broken marriage its only twice the heartbreak after the apathy sanemi regards him with and the loneliness that consumes him

I ABSOLUTELY CAN AHHHHHHH I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT ALWAYS. Premise is that after Dream blows up Logsteadshire, instead of leaving Tommy alone, he suggests to Tommy that they start over somewhere new. He leads Tommy to an even more remote location that this time no one knows about (not that Tommy’s aware of it) and after asking Tommy if it would be less painful if no one was allowed to visit him rather than having them constantly reject him by not showing up, and Tommy agreeing, he like. Bans people from visiting Tommy. This is not, however, what he tells the rest of the SMP - he actually doesn’t say anything for a bit because he’s busy destroying other teenagers lives (Doomsday also holy fuck i am so normal about eeau!tubbo or honestly just c!tubbo in general) but then after Doomsday of course Tubbo goes and discovers the annihilated Logsteadshire and like runs back and Dream insinuates that Tommy killed himself which definietly doesn’t devestate or at least shake up many people. But then people start talking and realize that like. Dream’s been manipulating and lying to them all this whole time and pitting them against each other. Philza in particular is like ‘why did we leave Tommy with the man who constantly expressed his dislike for him/set out to ruin his life’ and everyone was like . fair point. Queue manhunt for Dream where Dream loses his two lives and all of his allies and in a cruel twist of fate ends up with only Tommy for company!! Because stockholm syndrome babey :)))))) Plans backfired immensely for this man. (I did not forget about Punz well I did but then I figured out a way for him not to be there which is a WHOLE OTHER STORY basically Dream tried to manipulate purpled who went Nuh Uh and tattled to punz so punz fucked off and spat in dreams face on the way out)

QUEUE A YEAR LATER Ghostbur stumbles across Tommy in his secret exile spot (Henburgh) as Ghostbur has been searchign for Tommy’s ghost ever since he learned that he died. Eventually Ghostbur forgot he wsa looking for Tommy’s ghost and was just fixated on that he was looking for Tommy. Tommy however is scared of what Dream might do to Ghostbur/to him if he sees Ghostbur or finds out he was here, since he’s technically not allowed any visitors, so he sends Ghostbur away on an impossible quest. Ghostbur leaves him a small bit of blue that he then hides bc he can’t bring himself to throw it away, but unforunately nothing escapes Dream’s grasp for long and he notices :))))) It does not end well for Tommy, time for Logsteadshire pt 2. DURING THE TWO MONTHS THAT PASSED SINCE GHOSTBURS VISIT Wilbur is revived by Philza and Technoblade bc hella guilt and also Kristin hinted to Phil that Wilbur could come back and so Phil took the opprotunity. Wilbur however! Does not remember his time as ghostbur aside from very vague feelings and a couple blurry memories! But he feels VERY STRONGLY that there’s something important to the southeast of Techno’s cabin, and eventually that feeling grows so strong that he starts getting really anxious and upset about the fact he can’t go, so Techno offers to check it out fully expecting to find nothing. Only to stumble across Dream being HORRIFIC to Tommy during Logsteadshire Pt 2 and prompty going Oh Fuck No and bringing Tommy back to recover at the cabin.

Tommy does NOT appreciate this, and immediately demands to be taken back to Henburgh. Techno does not oblige. Tommy makes his displeasure clear but also mans now Traumatized as all hell so he also does jack shit to actually oppose the rest of the SBI. QUEUE FAMILY BONDING TIME AND SLOW HEALING. IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT AND THERES OF COURSE MORE SHIT BUT I DONT KNWO IF I WANNA SPOIL IT CAUSE I AM WRITING THE FIC. But the main fic ends with Tommy having not fully completed his healing but having made progress in mending his relationships w his family and friends, specifically SBI and beeduo, and like starting to realize and come to terms that what he went through was wrong but it wasn’t his fault, and decide that he wants to fight to be better again. I’m definitely so normal about all of his healing arcs and the way he slowly starts to recover from his trauma and find himself again and discover that life is worth living and that love doesn’t have to hurt I’m really fucking normal. I could talk about this for hours I in fact have talked about it for hours with my sibling (shoutout to them for listening) there are so many details to all of this i thikn about it constantly I am packing so much symbolism into this baby it will be my magnum opus if i can ever fucking finish it

I havent read harry potter. In a Long Time. Like ever. I remember very little of the plot. But I do think that them getting together would be the bisexual version of the hunger games. I think that over the course of their years at school they slowly get closer to eachother and as they realize that their comfortable with eachother they start to feel sick and nauseous. And because they start feeling this way they sort of relapse into their fighting days (not that they ever stopped beating the shit out of eachother. It just got friendlier. Romantic even. Never flirty though both of them would rather die than flirt on purpose. Anyways) because they dont want to acknowledge whatever is growing between them and then it would escalate into a fight in the mud while its pouring rain and then as their trading verbal and physical blows one of them would scream "BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT YOU AND THAT SCARES ME" and the other would scream back "WELL HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL CARING ABOUT YOU SCARES ME TOO" and then they would stare at eachother in the mud and Isabel would angrily scrub her eyes and then leave and Johnny would just stand in the mud. And then after that its a chilly but guilty air between them but now at LEAST their feelings are in the open. And from then on they start showing the worlds most awkward affection to eachother. The day their hold hands it only lasts five seconds before Johnny has to go throw herself in a river and Isabel has to go punch a training dummy. Etc.

I’ve been cleaning my childhood living room for 8 hours. It’s wizard time.

Before I get into this ask, you guys know that I don’t care about actual harry potter, right. Nobody needs to be super familiar with hp or frankly even like it to understand wizard au— honestly, going into it as ‘paranatural characters at magic boarding school’ is a great blank slate to have. HP is a shoddy piece of craft that’s mostly enjoyable through its nostalgia, cultural hype, and a surface level veneer of fantasy. I’m not a hp fan. Moving on.

That’s a fun interpretation! Though as far as Wizard AU goes, they don’t really hide affection. Or avoid flirting at all. They actually do it a lot— but their displays of affection & flirting are mixed in alongside the context of old rivalry, captain/subordinate, and close friendship; so their confusion largely comes from navigating their expressions of ‘having a crush on someone’ feelings amidst all the others. They do it a lot, but their ways of showing it are nowhere near what typical flirting looks like.

They do actually stop beating the shit out of each other around their second/third year— their captain trains it out of them since having two young members frequently get into scuffles will threaten the team’s chances of success. Those scuffle urges don’t fully go away, because it’s also Isabel and Johnny; but they’re routed into more productive outlets that support their strengths, like dueling and close training to strengthen their teamwork. Quidditch is sometimes (especially, in their cases) a very physically involved sport: when you’re flying around at 100mph, 100ft off the ground, if you see your partner get knocked off their broom and they’re halfway to a very flat ground without looking like they have the situation under control, they need you to catch them. You need to catch them. Because if you get caught up in feeling weird about touching your annoying rival, they will die. So after a few years, it’s a point of fact that they care about each other. Being partners brings them both to the point where they… can’t really afford otherwise? Whether or not it scares them falls to the wayside: as a side effect of their positions, it has ceased to matter.

By the time they’re both living with their feelings they’re actually very physically comfortable around each other! It’s a point I reiterate as the series progresses. The few wizard au fics I put out years ago have them very comfortable with casual touch— it’s where casual touch turns to intentional touch that gets them flustered.

It’s one thing to touch your sports partner in a trust fall. It’s another thing to touch your bestfriendrivalcrush in a way that might let them know you like them— or mean they like you back.
