The worst thing is, you can see the king brace himself at the end of episode 10. Like, he's carved out this little corner of vulnerability with Hee-soo where he's reverting to being himself and not "on" as the king - not so masked and armored - and you can see him brace himself for the collapse of that little corner at the very end of ep 10. And he KNEW she was scheming and chose to ignore it, so that's on him, but also the scheme is so DUMB and is going hit where it hurts most and he's going to be INCREDIBLY ANGRY about it.

its insane to develop a revenge plot with yourself as the suicide pilot after one single betrayal without giving the other a chance to explain and its equally insane to built your mental stability around your only true friend only to lose said friend to your own murder plot and then to expect former true friend to come back to kill you in a path of mutual destruction when they show up unharmed. its absolutely insane that there seem to be no misunderstandings because all of these things seem to be the real state of things, with no misinterpretations making it easier on anyone. these equally unhinged former true friends know each other too well and the degree of their insanity is proportional to each other. this is madness (appreciative)
