the palm tree is great and all, but what about the flickies?? in this backwards world, those little animals are his only friends, so he’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect them. when the chaos council took over, they were in great danger, and bullet made the tough choice to trade his freedom for their safety, acting as an enforcer on their behalf.

they just. they used to be so sweet together. and then the election arc managed to genuinely turn them against each other (and bad is still affected by being caged in the museum) and i would NOT have been surprised if a rebellion had started within the next few weeks after their last fight and. they used to be friends and then they almost destroyed each other

and then the eggs went missing

and there are so many parallels between them, but one of the biggest parallels is how they're both protectors. they both protected the eggs (and, when he became president, forever extended that protection to the other islanders) but the eggs went missing and they had to put all of that aside. Forever was quicker to put it down than Bad was (it felt like only a very temporary truce, from Bad's end), but they put their problems on hold, because their eggs. were gone.

and another parallel. the destruction. both of them with their plans to cause ruin because then, maybe, theyll get their kids back. bad caused most of the grieving arc damage directly, and got aypierre and antoine to help him. he dug holes in the ground. he placed mines everywhere and leapt into them. he started the lavacasting process of the fed building (and was interrupted by admins, so he stopped, but philza and fit were still right to laugh at him lmaoo). he drilled a hole through the side of the federation office from a huge distance away. he has chosen to hurt his friends and himself to get the eggs back. whatever the cost.

forever destroyed the island. or he planned to destroy the island. or he was interrupted just before he destroyed the island or or or. I don't know. but it was big, and it was bad. bad enough that the feds had to step in and forcefully drug him, and kickstart the happy pills arc.

and the happy pills arc..... oughghghgh as fucking awful as it was for their characters to experience i genuinely truly think that it saved them from each other. when he was first told about forever being fucked up bad was still in the "i need to kick his butt" mindset, and was all ready for an excuse to kill forever. and then he saw forever. and the first proposal happened. and bad was angry and he was sad and upset and he was careful. forever tried to kill him. bad decided to save him. forever kept trying to marry him. forever kept taking the pills. forever was so scared of his own anger and all of the damage he could and would have caused to his family that he kept taking drugs that kept him so out of his mind he hallucinated his son was just sleeping safely at his house.

and they both tried to kill each other. and they both failed.

and bad showed phil and cellbit (and tubbo) the item scanner that dapper discovered, which could destroy him, because nothing else was working. because they needed to save forever. because bad was reminded by then that forever was a victim of the federation instead of just a mouthpiece for it. and then when forever woke up he saw bad, suffering, and so excited to see him awake.

and now they're here on opposite sides again with forever projecting his protection urges onto the fed worker in bad's basement and bad frustrated that he isn't being believed and his evil plans of giving ron lemons apology brownies is being interrupted and. look at them. soft "i hate you" and the appreciation room and bad's quiet heartbreak when he learned about forever being missing and the "i miss you" book bad got mad at because it asked him not to torture fed workers. does anyone hear me im so ill about them. do you understand they care about each other so much and the happy pills arc reminded them of that. forever realized bad is colourblind and bad assumed forever was poisoning him and then forever helped bad cheat on another colourblindness test and forever was giving bad flowers and bad was accepting them and accepted that he was colourblind despite his previously constant denial and! i don't know if im being comprehensible and i dont really care i will be honest i just need you to know i am frothing at the mouth like a rabid little beast. they are a TRAGEDY of miscommunication and external pressure but they love so so much. platonic or romantic or qpp they CARE and it tears me to shreds

not enough stories exist where maverick actually wanted bradley to fly when he was older. he could feel it in his bones, see it in the stars. he showed the kid around a toolbox and taught him to strip an internal combustion engine and scrubbed the oil off his hands before he went home to mom. taught him to drive stick (probably underage lets be real) because it’s important to feel the bite and the grip and how the revs drop when you shift up. more than once he found bradley sitting in the idle car with the engine on because the dull roar helps him think - mav understands that feeling better than anyone. and yeah carole’s not thrilled but she’ll come around because one day she’ll see what mav sees. right? right?

she doesn’t tell mav she doesn’t want bradley to fly until she’s sick. until the lucid days barely outweigh the confused. there isn’t time to fight back, to talk her round.

so maverick doing what he does and pulling rooster’s papers isn’t just tragic because he’s making a choice that hurts his boy. it’s tragic because he’s shattering his own hopes and dreams for rooster. he’s sold him on a lifelong feeling and a passion and a lie that he never meant to tell in the first place.

Had a thought of what a fem! Ingo could look like and my hand slipped while sketching!

Gris is still non-binary but just a lil more androgynous and less mullet mohawk hair stuff going on, and Ingo’s sideburns would just turn into longer locks of triangle hair but also pretty wild studio ghibli hair.

all i'm saying is that making two queer characters fall in love and have a happy ending together during the oppresive political climate of the 80s and after surviving supernatural circumstances and even death would be pretty iconic.

and like to be clear i like aventurine. i dont mind him having this type of backstory at all hes Fine. Actually just this basically:

aventurine is fine. but im aggravated by the way his characterization now has every single fanon childe clown coming out of the woodwork being like THEYRE LITERALLY THE SAME bc the character theyve turned childe into since 1.0 (i was fucking THERE i saw the butchering of his character and how it began. the origin of ALL the fanon baggage goes back to there) happens to be very close to what they appear to be building for aventurine in hsr canon.

The look on Farrow’s face is not one that is ever followed by good news. Hackett raises an eyebrow when she comes into his office, clears her throat, and glances at the toes of her boots before inhaling and looking him right in the eye.

Before she can open her mouth, Hackett does a mental inventory on how much scotch is left in the cabinet behind his desk, because he’s fairly certain he’s going to need it.

“Rumoi is missing,” she blurts out, ripping the band-aid off.  

Son of a bitch.

His fingers curl, but when he speaks, it’s tight and controlled. Professional, even. “When, where, and how did he go missing, and do we have any leads on where he went missing to?”

“Our tail lost him on Nos Astra about seven hours ago,” she says, in a clipped tone that suggests she is fully aware of how much self-control it’s taking not to break his hand against the battle-tested surface of his desk, and she appreciates getting to skip the trip to medical this time. “There were signs of a struggle, and he never returned to his hotel room. Evidence suggests Eclipse mercs.”

He swears between his teeth. “Do we have any leads?”

She bobs her head. “We don’t believe they kept him on Ilium. Intelligence has narrowed it down to five possible ships that smuggled him out.”

“I want info on all five of those ships and where they’re headed, and Intelligence needs to shorten the list so I’m not wasting my time. In the meantime, get me Captain Arellano of the Ain Jalut and Admiral Anderson, in that order.”

“Yes, sir,” she says with a curt nod. After working together this long, Farrow doesn’t need to be told she’s been dismissed.  

Hackett gazes out in stony silence after she leaves, tallying up all the ways that Abraham Rumoi in enemy hands could fuck them. After a moment, he gets up and finds the scotch.

While it's a popular headcanon, or seems to be at least, I do not think that Joker can be canonically considered to be albino, since his skin would be much paler than it is, otherwise. (To say nothing of the question of whether or not he has any visual impairments, which is a personal pet headcanon of mine, but is also not clearly confirmed either way.)

However, I do still think that it is an interesting idea to play with for an AU. It adds a tiny bit of an extra dimension to his nocturnal tendencies/lifestyle.
