This is - you guessed it - a gift for a friend. I modified a screencap from Shovel Knight in MSPaint (I do all my photoshop work in MSPaint), shrunk it down and removed the hero, and added the shooting star, in honor of the time the friend and I saw a green shooting star by a campfire. I actually transferred this from the screencap to MSPaint pixel by pixel, and then to a pattern the same way.
The final note on this is I used sparkly metallic floss on the shooting star and never again. It’s a huge pain in the ass to work with. Worth it though!
The "Campfire Scene" emits such great lesbian energy that even those who are against ElsaMaren admitted this, I don't usually pay attention to haters (normally I block them without talking, I'm already 26 years old, the last thing I want is to get stressed out in internet like a teenager), but this most recent one was fun (he read half of what I said before responding, distributed gratuitous insults and contradicted himself the rest of the time, as I said it was fun for as long as I could stand it). The conversation ended up being summed up in the end with him admitting that he saw that Disney purposely created the moment between Elsa and Honeymaren in "Frozen 2" with an explicit air of romance to please those who thought Elsa was a lesbian, but only because of the financial failure that had with "Lightyear" and "Stranger World" she wouldn't continue that.
It was the anti ElsaMaren profile that was the biggest defender of ElsaMaren that I have ever seen. Normally the antis boil down to saying that Honeymaren is just a tool in the script that will be discarded in "Frozen 3" or they ignore things.
There are people in the fandom who want "Frozen 3" to retcon "Frozen 2" by basically pretending the second film didn't happen and continuing from the first. I never thought that the "Campfire Scene" would be one of the reasons for this since, as I said, the anti tend to belittle this scene (I've even seen someone writing a text complaining about the existence of the "All is Found" duet that ElsaMaren does at that moment), but after seeing an anti admitting that he felt Disney's secret intention with this scene when normally only shippers of the couple do this makes me think that in fact deep down they agree with us that "Frozen 2" confirmed Elsa as a lesbian and that's why they want the retcon.
Aight so here’s my take away from the deleted scene… and also let me add I think in reality it could easily work the night before the Oscar scene… after they get home (although they would have been drunk so idk) or happen after and the dock scene is the day AFTER the Oscar scene…
Anyway! I think the point of Henry’s story is to say that even though the boy is tugging at the piece guarding his heart, and even though it’s in those moments when he’s pulling at it that the princes heart can beat freely, and even though the boy makes the prince feel alive… he is still not able to get the piece off… that’s why he ends the story there. the princes exposed heart is still hidden by the piece of armor… and so it can not be shown(read: given) to the boy.
Henry is saying Alex has taken down almost all of his guards. He (Henry) has given more to him (Alex) than he has anyone before (which is why he tells Bea he felt himself getting too close) but he still can’t give him his heart.
But I think Alex was hearing just pull a little harder… so he decides to confess and so the story goes…
today's prompt was "campfire" and since tomorrow is halloween already (this year went by so fast I feel like I blinked and it's already october) I thought a slightly spooky atmosphere would do the trick!
campfires can both be really cozy and really creepy, which is why I've been looking forward to today for the entire month now! thanks again so much beautifuldawndesigns for this year's wonderful cozytober prompt list!
have a great next 24 hours! do you prefer roasting marshmallows or sausages? :>
day 7 small progress update + speedpaint of process so far under the cut
(the video has a little bit of flashing as i erase stuff and toggle visibility on layers and such, but i did remove the ending flash that normally happens in ibis paint timelapses!)
