Benji’s the most popular (2.3M followers) and he posts the randomest most funniest shit on the PLANET. He hardlaunches Ethan with the out of my league trend (13M) despite NEVER mentioning being in a relationship before. He regularly forces Luther and Ethan to do trends w the rest of Hunt’s team, like I can’t find ayesha cuz she’s probably sucking dick/bitch pick up your goddamn phone you’re gonna make me sick where they all are on it w really cool transitions. He likes to talk abt SW or ST or DW a lot and one of his most liked videos (and how some people discovered him) is him replying to a comment that’s like “what’s knotting” and he just stares into the cam while putting one a red nose to a circus music. He posts himself and Ilsa while they’re dressed up for the opera on a mission with like the song fashion in the background and everyone goes crazy. He posts a vid where it’s him and Ethan looking at each other with the baby I’m yours song and it gets like 20M views. He does a transition from him at the gym to him in evening clothes he had to wear for a mission to everyday I spend my time drinking wine feeling fine and he doesn’t EVEN mean to do it as a thirst trap but that’s how it’s received and people are like oh my god…benji. Similarly he makes a post where he details his tattoos (after being asked a buncha times) and he’s shirtless, and everyone’s losing their minds because they’re like YOU HAVE A SIX PACKS? He and Jane post a short dancing vid to cmon let’s get it started lemme see you move your body and it goes goes viral bcs that’s when their respective followers find out they’re friends. He makes a photo post that’s like we’ll be a fine line we’ll be alright with a pic of the first hunts team mission w their latest one, and people ask him if he likes Harry styles and he just goes “who❤️” He does the pabrobui mwah mwah trend w Ilsa while they’re ALSO in a mission in Poland and they’re dressed in very warm clothes and everyone’s like oh my god…I’ve seen two pretty best friends. I genuinely think he’s got a few moves in him so there’s one of his most liked vids where he’s filming himself cooking in his kitchen where he’s barely dancing to busy earnin’ and the vibes are IMMACULATE. He 100% did the ceilings and you with the dark curls you with the watercolour eyes trends. He ALSO forced the entire team to do the benjamin’s deli trend (dancing slowly in the light vs throwing moves in the dark while people put on their phones’ light). He also posts himself during a training sesh to bts’ steve aoki remix mic drop and people are like YOU FUCKING KNOW BTS? and he just goes stan jin👍 he’s also a skilled violin and piano player so sometimes he posts himself playing.

Jane’s account is at 700k and one of her most liked vids is with Ilsa where they’re lipsynching the pam and i feed off each other’s energy. I tease her, she teases me (…) and that’s when people start to get that they’re all mates. She does the bitch you know I’m sexy trend with Will and Benji. She forces Ethan (he lost a dare) to do the you carry yourself with the confidence of a…much taller man trend. She soft launches Ilsa w a video of “24H in my life” (while she’s on break) where you can see glimpse of her gf and her followers go insane trying to figure out who it is. She posts herself and benji where benji’s tied to a repelling cable on a high building and she’s zooming in on him w the never back down never what/never give up audio in the background and people are like what the fuck r y’all doing??? She also is a great dancer so she regularly posts herself to the latest dance trend (she KILLED Angel in Tibet and Back on 74.) Both she and Benji did the okokokok lalala trend w their respective partners. (ilsa’s ok janes lala and ethans lala while benjis okokok)

Brandt (560k) is fucking hysterical bcs you’d think he doesn’t know what fun is and is so serious about literally everything and well. you’d be kind of right. He mostly post himself at the gym and people ask him a lot abt his supplements and his program, things to which is gracefully replies. His most liked video is SO Brandt coded because it’s just him crossed armed at his desk looking into the cam with like, company in the background, which technically qualifies as a thirst trap and everyone’s so confused because they’re like oh my god…I think I’m attracted to office workers. He also posts a lot of him sparring, sometimes w Benji or Jane or Ethan or Ilsa and people go kind of insane about those. He never gets Hunley on cam but once he replies to a comment that’s like “are you free tonight” and he just stares into the cam and pulls hunley’s left hand w the wedding band on it with the audio IM MARRIED in the background. THATS where his followers find out he’s gay and they’re like A WIN FOR THE COMMUNITY. Just like benji he can play the guitar, so sometimes he posts vids of himself playing, either of requested songs or some he likes.

Hey dude, what's the plot/a few plot points of your perfect hypothetical mission: Impossible movie? A specific action sequence you'd love to see? Or an entire arc? Or literally just describe the whole plot, go nuts.

oh whoop, this is a beautiful question. a doozy for sure. you've opened a pandora's box i know you're more than happy to stick your face in with this one.

first off, they're back in colorful outfits like they are in rogue nation. at one point benji's got one of those gayass benoit blanc neck scarves. ethan can be in the occasional black t-shirt, as i know is his want, but he'e gotta be in some colorful patterned button-up tucked into some high-waisted black jeans at some point.

i'm thinking this is like, post-rogue nation but pre-fallout in time period.

the villain isn't aware of the imf but is expertly good at adapting, and has a special skill in reading people. the second she learns of the imf's existence when they almost thwart her first scheme of the movie and kill/capture a lot of her men, she immediately figures out all she can about them and hacks into cam footage to literally watch the team while they're not working to learn about them as people. she's able to quickly and conclusively gather that ethan cares a whole lot about benji; more than he really realizes.

somewhere around the middle of the movie, there's some building they're all in doing spy stuff. luther's out of the building, benji's doing server stuff inside, and ethan's running around the hallways, probably in a fancy white suit that turns inside out into a button-up or smth. stuff happens, and ethan discovers that the baddie planted a bomb that'll take the whole building and the ones next to it, and after communicating an abort to his team and pulling a fire alarm or smth to clear it of civilians, he makes his leave, turning the jacket into the button up as he does so. when he doesn't hear anything from benji through his earpiece, he asks luther, who tells him that trackers indicate benji's still in the building, so ethan rushes back in while luther looks for cam footage to confirm it.

while ethan's running so so fast to the room benji's in, luther tells him that he found benji on the cams, but something is very wrong. he's bleeding, struggling, and looking to the camera pleadingly. when ethan gets there, he figures out why. benji's lying on the floor— awake, but panicked— and there's a trail of blood from his ear and the side of his head; presumably why he couldn't call ethan, as whatever hit caused his bleeding also shattered his earpiece. more alarmingly, there's some sort of metal contraption attached to benji's leg right on his calf, and a pool of blood forming around it. benji tells him that right when he made the call to abort, a man came out of the shadows and knocked him out, and he woke up less than a minute ago, in tremendous pain and attached to this thing. further investigation reveals that the contraption is pierced all the way through his leg and attached at either side, making removal impossible without the proper instruments. worse, it's chained directly to the floor.

despite benji's desperate insistence that ethan leave him and get out of here before the building goes, that man is not having any of it. brandt is part of the team still btw, bc i think he's silly. the building they're in is next to a hospital, and ethan instructs brandt (who is being very argumentative) to gather a bunch of specific surgical equipment. benji realizes what's about to happen when ethan requests the bone saw.

yeah. that's right. ethan has to cut benji's leg off to save him. don't worry too much; julia taught him a thing or two because he asked a LOT of questions (even when he wasn't on the job, he was always on the job). m:i isn't known for being gory, so the camera probably wouldn't show the actual process, but you'd get to see a lot of ethan apologizing and reassuring benji and compartmentalizing his emotions and fears until he can get benji out of there. and so much benji crying. put that man in pain.

brandt and ethan barely get him out in time. benji passes out from blood loss as they're going through the hallways, and the explosion happens right behind them and takes ethan out. luther pulls up in the van as the dust settles and brandt takes the wheel after they get the two of them in the vehicle and to a different hospital since the explosion hit the one next to them (luther hacks all the traffic lights to get them there asap).

ethans first loopy thought after coming to is "not again," but then he goes completely fucking manic when he remembers Benji. he effortlessly rips his IV out (idiotically) and fumbles around the halls ignoring nurses trying to talk to him until he finds the rest of his team. luther is of course immediately concerned when he sees him up and limping (brandt only gives a shit in the "jesus christ, this fucking guy..." sorta way lmao) but also knows not to try and stop him, especially with benji involved.

benjamin dunn himself hasn't regained consciousness yet, but he's stable for now. after a short convo where ethan is doing a really good job pretending he's completely collected himself, luther and brandt give him some space, and ethan totally breaks down. watching who he thought was julia get killed right in front of him was one thing, y'know? but his own hand being forced to hurt and take from benji just at the mere chance he could get him out alive? the possibility he could have spent the last moments of life in agony at ethan's direct actions? that's affected him in a way he didn't realize was possible.

benji rouses to find himself down half a leg and with super spy extraordinaire ethan hunt crying against his chest. i could write some kick-ass dialog for this scene between them... maybe i will one day. needless to say, neither of them are all that good at emotional communication (luther has sole ownership of that braincell) so their talk is full of lots of difficult half-admissions and sly feeling-dodging. also benji cries again.

or maybe they have him on some crazy-ass pain meds and he comes too all loopy and says his feelings flat out and is just so silly and it gives ethan an open to be genuine and laugh at his teammate and maybe realize some stuff. y'know. maybe.

i guess this takes benji out of the action for the third act, but he can switch places with brandt and be the guy in the office reporting back. as long as brandt's very verbal about his distaste for benji's operating style. ethan has to keep reminding them to stop filling the coms with petty bickering.

i have no clue how the "final battle" would shake out. it is custom for ethan to be somewhere on his own, so probably that. the villain would actually be really good at besting him bc she can see through all his tricks and charisma, so he'd probably win through some brute-force insanity like crashing a helicopter into a famous landmark or smth; something she would not have time to adapt to that would get the imf in so much federal trouble.

at some point luther has one of those eye-opening discussions he's great at with benji, and a separate, more difficult one with ethan, about their importance to each other and how if they don't figure their shit out with each other, horrible people are just going to keep taking advantage of it and they're going to keep thinking they're hurting each other in an infinite spiral for the rest of time. neither of them are going to quit field duty, no matter how much the other one wants that, so they've got to come to some sort of understanding.

yadda yadda yadda, and then benji's got a mean-ass prosthetic for the foreseeable future. it's cool; they use it to sneak tech into places all the time in future movies.

tom cruise doesn't stand on a single out-of-frame box. most of the cast is repeatedly and unapologetically shown to be taller than ethan.

luther gets to kill a man. as a treat.

It was a bittersweet feeling, walking around Luther's on the Luther's last day. Obviously, it wouldn't be the last time Luther stepped foot into the diner, the older man had already promised Cam he would make sure to come back to town to visit every once in a while, but the feeling of an era ending weighed heavy on Cameron's shoulders.

Which was exactly why when he'd moved back to Briar Ridge and seen that Luther was selling the diner, Cameron hadn't even stopped to think before offering to purchase the place. He couldn't let Luther's go, not when it held too many precious memories for him. Memories of all you can eat bbq ribs contests with his cousin, of sharing a milkshake with the prettiest girl in town, of eventually commandeering the fourth booth on the righthand side of the diner and making it 'their booth' with said prettiest girl in town, of spending all of his free time in said booth. Memories that as much reminded him of his failure as they did of the best times of his life. And there was no way he was going to let someone else buy this place and turn it into who knows what.

So on Luther's last day, as he spent time saying his goodbye's to a community who loved him, Cameron walked around the diner greeting familiar faces, introducing himself to people he didn't know, and mostly following Luther around, watching everything the older man did as Cam familiarised himself with how the diner worked.

He had been in the back, talking with one of the cooks about the way that Luther ordered supplies, when he caught sight of a familiar head of brown hair making its way into the diner. A pang of guilt that always came with being around Genesis tugged at his heart for a brief moment as he was reminded yet again of how he had failed her, failed their marriage, even failed their daughter. Letting out a breath, Cameron supposed it was time to face the music, and stepped out of the kitchen onto the main floor. He moved towards where Luther and Genesis were talking, just in time to overhear Luther say, "Well, this place isn't going anywhere after all. Cause Cameron bought it from me." Letting out a wince, Cameron closed the gap, offering Genesis what he hoped came across as an apologetic look. He had wanted to tell her himself, but it had all been such a whirlwind since he'd made the offer, that he hadn't really had time. Cameron moving back to Briar Ridge had to have been a big enough shock for his ex-wife, she didn't need another, but here he was... offering very little warning to his movements.

When he had told Genesis he was moving back, there really hadn't been much of a plan for Cameron. All he knew was that he had nothing to do but work on his relationship with Juliana. That was, and would remain, priority number one for him. Buying a diner had not been part of the plan and he only hoped that this out-of-character lack of planning didn't come back around to bite him in the ass. Once Luther had stepped away to greet another regular customer, Cameron closed the gap between him and his ex wife a bit. "Surprise." Letting out a guilty chuckle as he rubbed at the back of his neck, he wondered how angry she'd be at him. "I swear this wasn't part of the plan and I just didn't tell you when I got back here." he quickly explained. "Luther mentioned he was selling so he could move out west to be with his family and I just couldn't let this place go." Punctuating his explanation with a shrug of his shoulders, he hoped she'd understand.

You fell from your place floating in the air, exhaustion creeping over you. Stabilizing the reactor had taken all of your energy albeit  your earlier concern was most certainly being made valid. You felt like you could sleep for weeks. A throbbing ringing filled your ears as the world became spotted. Your feet couldn’t find the ground, contact was imposible considering your position. Within an instant you knew you would be blacking out, you only hoped there would be someone to catch you.

“I swear to God, Luther and Thawne better be ready the next time I see them. Mage could have died from that.” Your eyes remained shut, as you held onto every word surrounding you.

“It wasn't on purpose,” the voice of the one and only Psimon filled your ears.

“Yea, Junior, them doing that just thickened up their skin. They’ll be more ready the next time,” the eldest Terror Twin said. His counterpart hummed in agreement in the background.

“How about we just let them rest,” Devistation offered to the group, “Icicle, you can shut off the lights and shit. We have things we need to do.”

Cameron grumbled as the others chuckled, walking out of the room. The sound of the heart monitor you were attached to beeped to your right. Slowly you opened your eyes after the ice meta turned off the overhead light. The lamp at your bedside remained on and you glanced across the room to the last member of your messy, unagreeable team. 

“Yeah, if Reverse shows his face any time soon I’m going to pin him in the air and leave him there so he can’t phase himself free,” you said from the medical bed you were laying on.

Cameron’s head turned quickly, looking over you once, and then he bounded across the room. He swiftly lifted you up and into his arms. The embrace was cool and kind as you returned the sentiment engulfing his body with yours. 

“You scared the shit out of me, babe,” Cameron pulled back to look at you.

“Yeah, well someone has to keep you on your toes,” you smiled back at him. Cool lips pressed against your own softly and sweetly. His hand traced your cheek carefully, still worried that you would fall away again. You pulled back just enough so that your foreheads touched as you nuzzled into his space.

“I think I’m kept on my toes enough,” he said in response as you hummed at his answer, taking in his presence.

“Maybe I just thought we needed something exciting to happen. However, I was not expecting that much kickback,” you chuckled lightheartedly.

“Why would you want to put yourself through something like that?” Cam asked. “I know you didn’t think it would go well and warned them that they were underestimating the job. You could have said no,” he whispered. His eyes were sad as he stared into yours waiting for an answer. 

You brought your own hand up to his cheek. “Because I knew I’d be okay. Sure, in the moment I wasn’t fine, but I’m alright now, C. This is what we do. This is our responsibility-“

“I don’t want that responsibility. If you’re going to get hurt or pass out from shit then you shouldn’t do it and no one should fucking expect you to. I want you to be safe.” His hands grasped the one at your side.

“Cam, this job we do, it will never be safe, for either of us,” you said calmly, trying to cool the always cold criminal off.

“Then…” Cameron said, his eyes up at the ceiling as he bit his lip in concentration.

“Then?” you prompted softly, awaiting his answer. As his thoughts continued to race you patted his hair and left a gentle kiss on his temple.

“Why don’t we leave?” he asked, finally returning his gaze to you.

“Why don’t we leave?” you repeated. Your brow furrowed in confusion.

“Yeah, we can just go. The world is our oyster,” he said giddily, grabbing your hands in his, “we could run away together. We could, we could, elope!”

“Cameron, babe, I love you. But do you even know what that word means?” you questioned gently.

“Yeah, we leave everything behind and run off into the sunset free from our responsibilities,” he replied innocently with anticipation. His eyes were wide and shined brightly for your response.

“Look, Cam, I’m-I’m all for leaving if you want to leave. I’d follow you to the end of the world. However, I still don’t think you completely understand the connotation of that word,” you admitted.

“Yeah, yeah, look, we can travel the whole world together. Hang out in the Caribbean, tour Europe together, visit Italy, and travel through Rome. Trust me, I’ll make that honeymoon worth your while,” he grinned smugly, sending you a wink.

You slapped his arm jokingly with a roll of your eyes as he feigned injury, “Dick.”

“That’s what I was implying, babe,” he smirked.

“Well,” you chuckled, dancing your hand up his arm finger by finger, tracing all the way up to his shoulder, “if you promise to take me to Europe, you won’t have to wait for the honeymoon.”

Cameron’s eyes widened as he shot up from his spot beside you, “okay, let’s go. Time to get a move on, up and out of bed, babe.”

You smiled at his antics, kicking your legs over the medical bed and rose from your place. Your hands easily found his, pulling him back in. The smile on your face held affection as the look in your eyes contained excitement for the future and comfort in what was to come. You brought him closer, reattaching your lips, looking forward to the rest of your life beside him.

Gather around, take a knee, it’s real talk time. I have two online lives, Facebook where my family and those I Served with see what is happening in my day to day life. Nothing super exciting, roses growing, kids growing, my relationships growing. Births, Deaths and the like. Then there is Tumblr, where I can run a political rant right next to crime stories right next to puppies next to a pile of AK47’s and how I feel about all of it. I post a metric shit ton of firearms images and information and now and then sprinkle in some beautiful women and of course Jeep Life. I also try to keep it positive, there is enough hate in the world to go around, to quote Martin Luther King Jr.; “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”.For some time I have been asked to donate some time to Veteran’s and First Responders through a Veteran’s organization I work with. Several months ago I was asked to moderate a recurring group for male Veteran’s and First Responders who have been victims of abuse. My degrees are not in mental health or counseling so I did not understand how I could help. It took some time to get it all lined up but 3 weeks ago we had our first group and it went amazingly. The group was made up of 5 Veterans, 1 LEO, and 1 EMT, all have suffered at the hands of their partner through physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological/emotional abuse, discriminatory abuse etc. This coming Monday we will have two new members. Part of the reason I was asked to be part of this is my ex-wife was emotionally and physically abusive, the final straw was when she stabbed me and prior to the police arriving she intentionally jumped into a standing vanity mirror causing a number of superficial cuts to herself. When the police arrived she claimed I had pushed her into the mirror. Little did she know I had put “Nanny cam’s” throughout the house 2 month earlier and had been keeping all of it, it’s literally the only thing that kept me from going to jail that night. It also played part of my hand. I was in the Army, I was an LEO, I am a man in a society that thinks men have to take what is put on them and “WE” as men often buy into it, that ended for me the night I was stabbed. Being handed the Domestic abuse pamphlets and information for abuse shelters in the area broke me off hard. It was like the years and years of me handing those same type of pamphlets to abuse victims had come full circle, that was 2002. Each man in that group came in with their own story of how they found themselves there, everyone of them was a case study in abuse. Each story was told by a man who tried to hide what was happening to them, tried to rationalize what was happening, tried saying it won’t happen again, and repeated the cycle of lying to themselves with each new abuse. This next session will be about how societies views of how a man should handle himself is in direct conflict with their mental and physical health when it comes to abuse and reporting abuse. Up until a few years ago men were told they needed to be strong, be the defender, be the provider, take the burden of pain and hardship to allow those we love and care for to live in a well provided and protected environment, but there was no way for men to recover, no respite. Men were just to take all this with no way to voice it, express it, exposes it and get it off our shoulders.

This is going to be from my perspective in the Army where this started for me. You could not talk about it with “the guys” because it just turned into a bunch of “stop being a pussy”, “don’t be such a fag about it.”, “what ever dude, it’s not that bad.”, or my favorite “Handle your shit at home, we don’t want to know about it here.” Nothing like support from the people you spend most of your time with. When you took it to your command they ALWAYS talked it down, stabbed at your pride and your masculinity to belittle you into not seeking help. “It’s just a phase, you all will be fine.” I volunteered for deployments just so we could have more honeymoon phase and less fighting, only to find out “Jody” was doing the horizontal tango at my house while I was gone. I took a months leave so we could get counseling to try to fix this goat rope of a relationship. I think the topper was when she filed a CPS report saying she saw me abusing our then 18 month old son. She literally looked me in the face while walking into the family court room and said “You’ll never see your kids again and I’m taking all your money.” Little did we know it was all recorded, that was both good and bad because now CPS wanted a full investigation of both of us and we lost both our kids for 3 months. She dialed way back after that when it came to the kids. This whole buttfucking is why I was asked to moderate the group and the men seemed to respond to the fact that I have also been there and had to weather it all basically alone just like them. Guys can be and are abused every day. The very first domestic I worked was a skinny black guy who had got his ass handed to him by his very big Samoan wife. When I say big, I mean had to interlock 2 sets of hand irons just to get her hands behind her back. It also took Shea, my partner picking up a couch and pushing her against a wall with it for 4 of use to cuff her. Men, there are resources out there for you. Men, you don’t have to be abused. With the resort keeping him busy, Cam wasn't making much time for cooking these days. Besides, being in that big empty house by himself tended to encourage more thinking that Cameron was willing to do. He tended to spiral when he was alone, thinking about the ways he had screwed up his chance at really turning his family's company around and what a failure he had been. It might be a coping mechanism to just avoid time alone altogether, but he was more than willing to deal with the repercussions of that than to deal with the issue head on.

So, he ate out a lot. Which is exactly what he was doing Tuesday evening when he spotted Marcus enter the diner. "Ay! I'm not sure we should both be in here at same time like this! so like. very funny that you mention cam. he and luther literally started as an aubrey-maturin au where jack is a mermaid. and then i started getting so wildly ooc with them i figured they should be OCs, and they featured really heavily on a sideblog i had for a while until i got fed up with the community it was part of and abandoned it but still liked those two enough that i wanted to keep playing with them so i have sort of soft-rebooted them into underbelly. basically the way i have their story going, luther is a nobleman in the 1800s who runs away from home because of his overbearing parents' expectations and hitches a ride on a whaling ship, has an absolutely MISERABLE time and then falls overboard one night while on watch, and is rescued by cam, who has a soft spot for humans because they're interesting and sailors in particular are a superstitious lot who tend to throw offers overboard for him. so luther wakes up on a random shore with the vague impression of some vast beast that saved him, and proceeds to use his family name to garner enough credit to get himself on ANOTHER ship and back out to investigate more about the beast, because he's an adventurous romantic at heart who can't leave well enough alone, and after about four or five attempts at this cam finally shows up again and is himself intrigued enough to give in and introduce himself to luther, and the rest is history. ....history, at least, until cam accidentally drowns luther, and his vengeful angry spirit is bound to haunt him for all time. and then they settle down on shore and run a bar together.

After inheriting a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical company from his father, Cameron burned himself out working to turn the company around and get rid of all of the corruption and shady business his father was involved in. He set off for Briar Ridge where he's having a hard time leaving work behind completely, but is excited to get to spend this time getting closer to his child.

Jeremiah and Somone Bishop were very much on track to living the American dream. Somone was a oncologist and Jeremiah had inherited a small pharmaceutical company from his father. When they had their first child, Gemma, their dreams seemed to have come true and they were ready to be the perfect, happy family

That dream was shattered a year later when Gemma was diagnosed with an incredibly aggressive and rare disease. The next four years of hospital stays, medical trials, and other treatments tore Somone and Jeremiah apart. When Gemma finally passed away at the age of 5, there was little love left between the couple

Somone couldn’t bear the thought that she hadn’t been able to save their daughter. She buried herself into research on the disease that took Gemma away from them. Jeremiah threw himself into getting investors and investments to grow the company so that he could finance his wife’s research, eventually growing Gem Pharmaceuticals (newly rebranded and renamed after their deceased daughter) into a multibillion dollar pharmaceutical company

What started with such good intentions though, quickly turned… not so good. Jeremiah was determined to grow the company, no matter the cost. He made a lot of shady deals, paid off politicians, etc. The company was mostly successful because of these dealings

Cameron was born three years after his sister died, with parents who were more concerned about having a child to carry on the family name than anything else. Sure, it was almost a defense mechanism after all the heartache they went through with his sister’s death, but that didn’t excuse the lack of attention or warmth towards their son

While Cameron grew up with what many would consider a silver spoon, his sister’s death was constantly held over him, and Cameron knew he had to do good by his older sister, he couldn’t waste the opportunity she didn’t get to have

He studied hard, went to business school at MIT, all with the intention of taking over the family business, of which he knew nothing about his father’s less than reputable dealings

After graduating from business school, Cam started returning to Briar Ridge once a year. It was during these vacations that he and Genesis Ortiz built up their friendship again after she broke Cam's heart by falling for someone else when they were kids

Eventually, the two fell in love and were married. Cam moved to Briar Ridge to be with her, they even had a child together a few years after they were married. Everything was perfect. Until it wasn't.

While living in Briar Ridge, Cameron still worked for Gem Pharmaceuticals back in New York. He travelled back and forth constantly and even when he was home, he buried himself in his work. This was obviously incredibly unfair to Genesis and their child.

Eventually, Genesis asked for a divorce, and Cameron, so taken aback that he could have taken for granted the two people he loved most in this world, agreed to sign the papers.

Shortly after the divorce was finalized, Cameron's father passed away. Since Gem Pharmaceuticals was passed down to him, it became necessary for Cameron to move back to New York so that he could run the company full time.

Very quickly after he took over, Cameron finally realized the truth behind Gem Pharmaceuticals success. He threw himself into legitimizing the business in an effort to bury the pain and shame he felt over his divorce. He was good at it though and soon, things started going so well that they didn't need his father's shady dealings anymore to succeed.

He absolutely refused to uphold any of his father's under the table agreements and pissed a loooooooooooot of very powerful people off.

He was obsessed with making a name for himself, with legitimizing the business, he literally dropped everything else in his life
