Okay so I’m going to Texas Frightmare Weekend next year and I want to dress up for Saturday because it will be my birthday! I’m down to two costumes I just can’t decide.
Cottagecore Killer Cabbage Patch Doll
For this, I’m looking at making a brown braided pigtail yarn wig and wearing some oversized corduroy overalls preferably in olive green or brown maybe with some (small) pink floral patches on them and a chunky sweater underneath with a knife in hand. Only cons are that I should probably blood spatter the clothes and I don’t want tooo if I’m buying clothes I like 😭😭 although I could be right out of the box brand new. Also I am very self conscious about a yarn wig I feel like I’ll look silly. But it could be really fun.

That’s Ada if you don’t know her. I’m thinking chunky yellow sweater, flower crown, and olive green overalls to match the stems of the dandelions. She sticks to mostly blue and yellow but dang it I want green! Although the waders outfit is super cute. Only con is a hyper realistic latex sheep mask might get uncomfortable after awhile, but if i take it off I just have a good outfit!

One Piece Live Action Full Trailer
So, I'm a little late, but here is my reaction to the first Live Action Trailer:
Sanji is now British? I love it. I mean come on it’s Taz Skylar!!! I’d sell my soul for that man!
Arlong is a little crusty looking, like his nose looks so fake. It looks like he’s wearing something on his nose and you can see it!
Buggy is perfect! Enough said.
Zoro is growing in me. At first, I thought he looked like a bad cosplay, but I'm loving it now.
They made Usoop super cool.
The hat scene. I’m just dying!
The Koby is spot on perfection!
I love the Cabbage (I know that’s only what Luffy calls him but I don’t have the effort to spell his really name) and Foxy Easter egg.
Shanks and Mihawk are just off. I don’t know what it is. It could be Mihawk’s terrible color contacts and the overall hobo aesthetic I get from Shanks.
They captured the relationship between Zoro and Sanji 100%!

Welcome to the Overworked Blorbo Battle Preliminary Round!
Many characters were submitted for this tournament so, in order to allow as many different blorbos into the bracket as I can, I’ve had to limit them to one per series. For most, i just included the most highly submitted character but there were a number of series with characters who had the same (or very similar) number of submissions. Therefore, I’ve created a preliminary round for you to vote on which character from each series gets to enter the bracket.
There will be 37 polls lasting 1 week each.
The polls will be separated into 3 waves. Each wave will be posted 24 hours after the previous.
The first wave will begin on Tuesday the 27th of June at 3PM BST
I've tried my best to only include official images for all of the characters on the polls but I'm not familiar with every series listed so, when the polls go up, if you notice I've used a fanart or cosplay image without permission or credit please let me know and I'll add credit and correct it for any future appearances of that character.
I apologise if I’ve accidentally spelled something wrong or used a wrong name for something, I’m not familiar with every series listed.

Random Headcannon List of Characters
Jolie's eye socket of other pocket dimension connects her to the Marble Empire (CPC equivalence for Greece) where things that happened in the 'fictional' books that related to Greek in CPC (Dogyssey, Medusa, Tale of Deaneira) series actually really does happen - those Greek monsters exist, and one of them is biting Saffron at episode 19. Btw Monika's reference at ep 76 of Maria Kondo come from celebrity that like MK in her kingdom - The Quilt Kingdom.
Blaine and Lance's academy isn't St. Cerulean like Frederick and Leland - but both uniform is blue, so I feel the name of the school will be related to blue.. I suggest "Lapis Academy"
Frederick isn't a picky eater (contrasts to Leopold that dislike sweets, or Jamie that had disdain over 'healthly foods' like vegetables) - but he had tedency to eat green-colored foods, so similar with Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan but instead blue is green. This means he loves eating green vegetables like broccoli, spinach, lettuce, cabbage, etc - green fruits like green apple of granny smith, melon, lime, etc - and green flavor associates like matcha (milk green tea)
In the Monochrome kingdom - the most favorite ice cream taste is Cookies and Cream because monochromatic color. Whitney associate that taste as the flavor of his childhood
Maria's collection: she listens to the (Bozart/Schozart) music using grammaphone that she keep at her wardrobe, also she have soft spots to all fairy tales with female blondies in there such as Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland and Rapunzel
Lorena actually the one that cares the pets at their palace the most, not Maria with her animal gathering ability or Gwen with the vermins [like Mr Possum and Mr Rat] - She built a cat tower house for Colonel Snuggles, keeping stash of catnips for Col. Snuggles, buying treats for them - and even the one that cosplaying them [kinda shown being the one that gives them the military gears, or a skirt]
[warning for dark, grim HC there] One of the horrifying taste that Jamie encounter is when the chef feeling suicidal, the food taste abruptly changes to feel like aftertaste of metallic blood. Jamie never tell anyone about it to protects the chef identity that very ashamed to ever serves a prince like that
Gwen is very creative person indeed, beside creating various dishes - she also crafting a teddy bear plushie in homage for Frederick, hence the reason Frederick depicted as the bear
Lilyth (Leelathae) can draw (more tidy than a doodles), the diary of lilyth has drawings of various stuffs like Melusine emblem - the inside of the Pastel palace - the possums in the forest.. Gwen and Lorena inhirited her talent to draw, but Jamie and Maria can't draw like Jack
working on various multiple part time job as teenager, which she's juggling as pet shop keeper - band player - dish washer
Leland the one that crafting accesories for Laverne, like the necklace. He orthodidacly learns about it with books and lot of time spent in his office. He never letting anyone, even Jack - about his crafts and multiple designing that he learns by himself including making chess pieces and dress designs
Thermidora know and singing "Under the Sea" because the Lobster Kingdom is near the Mermaid Kingdom - which actually exist but never be mentioned to anyone. Another case of similarity with Marble Empire, the 'fairy tales' books actually depicting real life things instead as fictional
Velvet Kingdom where Renée come from specialized in the ringsmithing, everyone rings that depicted so far (Jolie's to Nell, Blaine's to Maria, Lance's to Lorena, Frederick's to Gwen) all are come from this said kingdom that masterfully crafting rings (which imbued by minor magic so always could fits the wearer) and putting it on specialized velvet ring box
Prez literally studied everything from algebra to biology to finance to geography to zoology + curses, espc if depicted from fairy tales - hence she's the one that capable to checking potential CPC member with her knowledge. Her knowledge is so vast but sadly she can't teach
Saffron from Foliage Kingdom and Syrah from Metallic kingdom actually come from neighboring kingdom - their border is metallic fences that has vines of ivy grows there. Their kingdom has many alliances business, which the prominent one is "Goblin's Silverwares" - which a specialized, magical wares (weapons included) that always pristine so no need to get cleaned up + imbibed to get more powerful if getting strong stuffs like venom's beast. Goblin's silverwares are very rare and expensive, with the goblins usually won't ever consider to making one to human unless a very special ocassion arise which also prevents malicious people to get it
Miss Agatha's questionable book collection, she brought it from Pastel Plaza - yes the market selling smut stuff openly
Beckett is the sole keeper of the "Lost and Found" corner, which actually becomes hazard things accumulator

This past weekend, me and my best friend, viobliterator, were at Toronto Comic Con where she made her first ever appearance at an artist alley as an exhibitor. She cosplayed as her favorite character that she’s totally normal for, Osamu Dazai, while I was Nanami and gave her the “hair and stare” treatment.
We met some incredibly talented cosplayers who really knocked it out of the park (the cabbage man is my personal favorite).
Viobliterator predominantly loves doing art of Bungo Stray Dogs, but she also loves the classics like Sailor Moon and Attack on Titan as well as underrated and phenomenal series like Naoki Urasawa’s Monster (Pluto on Netflix was also done by him). Plus, video games like Dark Souls, Ace Combat 4, and more. check out her tumblr and also zoom in on her QR code where it’ll take you to her other socials and pet portrait business where she also paints lifelike portraits of any pet of your choosing. If anyone plans to take a trip to Toronto in the future for any convention, she did incredibly well raking in the dough and gathering in a following, you may have the chance to see her and her work for yourselves.

Man I am not going to screenshot all the things her face does in a few seconds, but remember waaaaaay early on when I was comparing their facial expressions when Catra and Adora hear each other's names, to that scene in Arcane where Vi realizes Caitlyn is into women, and Vi's face says a TON of things in 1.5 seconds? Adora's face here goes on a JOURNEY: confusion, shock (as shown above), anger, something I can only describe as "well I obviously have to rethink some things"/"maybe I've been wrong about her this whole time", some kind of fatigue tinged with regret, and then she slides down the wall to sitting.
It's just really well done.
Also I know there's a ton of videos showing the progression between Catra and Adora in the last season and I am forcing myself not to watch them or any of the meme videos until I AM DONE WITH THE SHOW because I don't want to dilute the emotional impact of watching them when I get to them.
Anyway Glimmer goes to apologize for the shit she did to make everything go to hell on Etheria, but then the ship goes bumpy bump and stops moving. But yeah Bow is keeping his distance from Glimmer right now.
So Glimmer sobs in Adora's arms instead. And the ship goes bumpty again. Entrapta says it's because they're out of fuel crystals but there's a planet with some nearby.
Aw there's a lovely interaction between Scorpia and Swift Wind back on Etheria.
Back to Space:
I've just noticed it looks like a ship anchor, which I assume is deliberate, since it would be Horde Prime's "anchor" on a planet.
Yeah Bow's still mad about it.
I love Entrapta (she's talking about how the old fuel crystals are probably fused to the engine by now)
LOL THE SHIP (Darla) RESPONDS "I do not feel pain" and Entrapta immediately smiles again "oh okay!"

Anyway Adora fell in a hole
Glimmer: "Just stay put, we're coming. We'll have to find another way down."
Adora: "I think I see a light. I'm gonna go towards it."
Bow, freaking out: "Don't go towards the light!"

And Swift Wind does a little story-telling into the sky about how things are going on Etheria. It's cute.
And Adora gets in a fight with other people looking for fuel crystals.
They're also from a planet Horde Prime destroyed. Also it turns out the crystals are nearly impossible to get to.

and then "he has to pay for what he did! And he--he has someone on his ship. Someone I--" and she looks back and forth and then stands up straight again. "We're stopping him! Period."
BAHAHAH
"if your friend is with Horde Prime, it's already too late"
"I mean, she used to be, but that was a long time ago,"
"but then she saved Glimmer. And maybe that means there's still good in her, and now, I don't know, it's--"
BAHAHA (remember when that was a relationship option on facebook? "It's complicated"?)
(lol I accidentally closed the tab and had to reopen it and it wouldn't let me take this without the rating???)
Anyway they're all like, Nobody stands up to Prime and survives.
They all head out to find the fuel crystals but there's a bunch of earthquakes and they have to GET THE FUCK OUT, and as their only way out starts to collapse--
Adora manages to make a way out!
Entrapta is like, that was She-Ra, obviously
ANYWAY there's some lovely derring-do and Glimmer gets the fuel crystals, Bow saves her life a couple of times over, and everyone makes it out of the cave before it collapses. Then the star kids (who haven't seen magic in centuries) offer to join the cause.
Back on the ship, Glimmer does an amazing apology speech to Bow:
Glimmer: "Look, I know you're still mad at me. Maybe you'll be mad at me for a really long time. I deserve it. And maybe--maybe we'll--maybe we'll never be friends like we used to be. But I'm not going to stop trying to make it better. I made a mistake with the Heart of Etheria. I should have listened to you, and I'm sorry. You get to be mad, for as long as you need to be. But I'm not going anywhere. And when you're ready, I'll be here."
And Bow accepts her apology
And Adora watches, and then turns and looks out the window
Are you thinking of someone you'd maybe like to reconnect with? To maybe forgive? hm?????
LOL I SPOKE TOO SOON Bow and Glimmer notice the way Adora is staring into the stars and ask if she's okay
"and I know Catra was our enemy and she's done a lot of bad things, and hurt a lot of people, but--
;_;
the poor thing. she's so torn up about it.
Glimmer: "Whatever you need to do, I'm with you."
Bow: "Then let's do this. Best Friend Squad style."
And there's a group hug.
AND SWIFT WIND FELT ADORA DO THE SHE-RA THING even if only for that few seconds, wooo!
End of episode! Roll credits!

According to my friend, now I am left to imagine Eddie in his full glory dressed as an asparagus and.... And Steve dressed as a cabbage patch kid. They were both bribed into it.
So, basically. There's a con, and while Eddie has this elaborate cosplay, he also lost a bet with the rest of the Hellfire Club, so for one afternoon he has to wear this asparagus costume. It's actually rather themed and well put together, all things considered. If looking like the Statue of Liberty was put together.
So he heads out, and doesn't dare shy away. Yeah, he gets into it, pretending he's just some plant based deity from some personal campaign, carrying around his Staff of Sparaga with pride and cursing random cosplayers with the Ailment.
He then comes across what is.... Essentially a terrifying sight. It is, essentially, someone dressed as a MASSIVE Cabbage Patch Kid doll. Well, that's halfway true, it's just that the person is wearing a huge head that resembles the doll. Otherwise, it's just normal looking preppy clothes that the person's wearing beneath it.
Eddie thought it would just be a one time thing. Pass by, collect 200, and go. But life wasn't kind, and Eddie keeps seeing the Cabbage Patch Guy.
At one point even, he ended up interacting with them, and although they never said anything seemed willing to pretend to have a heart attack when Eddie poked them with his massive asparagus staff.
It comes to an end, and a rather surprising reveal, when Eddie sees them once again at the nearby McDonalds, and they take off their stupid head to reveal Steve 'The Hair' Harrington.
Steve was also forced to do this thanks to losing a bet, except unlike Eddie, who got to wear something that actually kind of looked cool, this was a genuine form of public humiliation. At least he was spared from having to let anyone know it was him underneath the head. How Steve was dragged to a convention who knows. It was probably thanks to his band of children dragging him there. Initially he just... showed up, normal Steve doing normal Steve things. Then the next thing he knows he's walking around in a polo, overalls, chunky shoes, and a squishy-faced Cabbage Patch head.
So now Eddie has to deal with the fact that not only is Steve Harrington at the same con as him, but also that Steve willingly went around looking like that.
Bonus points if Steve actually does the same reveal later on in the con itself, but now he's wearing a goofy yarn wig and two little dots on his cheeks to make the dimples.

Despite the never wrecking silence from the con until the start of February, I am hyped for Cabbage Con at the end of March!
I am excited to see Sifu Kius again. I got to see a single panel in Atlanta years ago (MomoCon 2014?) and it was really fascinating. He is famous to us anime for Avatar, but he is also credited with working on Big Bad Beetleborgs for you Sentai fans/(if you have never seen it look it up! It has the heart of fun and some great comedy martial arts) He has a tumblr @sifu-kisu and it’s an interesting read outside of Con related news.
Norsefyre (cosplaying circus troupe) looks fun. If nothing else this con should have some pretty cool physical displays. I am still hopeful for fan panels, but I guess we will see Friday/Saturday when the schedule is suppose to come out.
My big adventure plans for OH is really only to check out otherworld since it is only in OH or PA. Hoping to go with a bunch of other attendees!
