the real reason the one piece live action didn’t keep in luffy hearing the name roronoa zoro demon pirate hunter and purposefully setting sail to find him bc he knew in that instant he wanted him (on his crew), and the flirty ass scene where luffy courts zoro by stealing back his swords and convincingly bluffs for the first time in his life (come w me or die :D), followed by their little lunch date is because the luffy n zoro levels would have been too strong. they had to be sedated. we couldn’t have that and the whole “I need you” / “I will follow you til the end” / hand on heart. sacrifices had to be made

and when that creature opens it's eyes, you find yourself looking at your own, glossier, shinier and prettier than you've ever seen them before.

It's like every single word, every single compliment your partner ever gave you turned true.

And though you see the creature shift, though you see the bones snap and swivel and turn, you see the flesh shrink, stretch, melt, they eyes roll loops in it's skull, you still find yourself reaching out to touch the finished figure.
