I wonder how Gaon and Yohan are going to explain the change in their interactions to Elijah, since it's going to be obvious to her that something has happened between them. Since Elijah knows that there's nothing between Gaon and Soo hyun, I wonder if she will play a role in clearing Yohan's misconception? Thanks for the update! I can't stop thinking how many ways this story can play out😅 Btw i really appreciate the time and effort you put into responding to our questions with such detail.
That definitely depends on who's doing the explaining xD Yo Han would just brush it off and pretend that nothing is happening — which would just piss her off — while Ga On would make a stilted effort to explain without making it too obvious what it's actually about. Which would also annoy her.
That poor girl, seriously. She doesn't deserve to get caught between these two idiots.
I'm not sure I agree that Elijah "knows" that there was nothing between Ga On and Soo Hyun, though. I think she very much thinks there was something between them. I mean, sure, they denied it when she asked if they were dating, but THE WAY they did so was pretty telling (especially in Soo Hyun's case). Even more so since Elijah is a bit... well, innocent? I think most of her experience with love comes from media, books etc. and how Ga On and Soo Hyun behaved is, well, straight from a drama xD
And Elijah also had that talk with Soo Hyun when they were eating ice cream on Ga On's terrace, where it became pretty obvious that Soo Hyun is in love with Ga On and has already confessed to him several times.
So I think Elijah very much believes they were in love. Which means she won't really play a role in convincing Yo Han otherwise — if asked, she'd probably only make it worse, even. Because her understanding of love is a bit superficial and probably pretty geared towards straightness. That's not to say that she's not aware of gay people (I think she might actually know more about that than Ga On does xD) but from the evidence she's seen both Ga On and Yo Han seem straight to her (because I can't imagine that Yo Han has flaunted his dalliances with other men in front of her).
I know I'm very, very firm about this but Elijah doesn't know that Yo Han and Ga On have the hots for each other. And not because she's stupid, but because she's grown up in a country where straightness is the norm and Yo Han has done everything he can to hide the depth of his and Ga On's relationship from her. Also, she's a self-centred teenager x'D
Like, take me for an example. I was around 23-24 and very comfortable in my own pansexuality but was still IN NO WAY PREPARED when my mum basically went: "I may only have had sex with two women in my life but, let me tell you — 10/10, would recommend." Because I had only ever seen her date and talk about men before and therefore assumed she had no interest in anything else. That's how easy it is to miss that someone close to you isn't entirely straight — especially if it's a parent/guardian.
So I really don't think that Elijah would notice until it gets a lot more obvious than this xD
Which wasn't technically what your ask was about (sorry for the tangent xD), but still important to know because Elijah really won't be all that helpful when it comes to Yo Han and Ga On figuring out their feelings for each other. In fact, she might just end up making things harder for them without meaning to. But more about that in later chapters ;)

Like, you guys have no idea how long the first drafts of my author's notes usually are. One time I had to cut half of it because it was reaching truly spectacular lengths. And sure, I know that some of you probably wouldn't complain if I had posted that first draft, but I'm trying to contain myself, okay? ABSOLUTELY, ABSOLUTELY.
Second's first choice for nightmare comfort is Chosen. It's always Chosen. Second and Chosen are connected on a whole other level that sets the two apart from the more normal affection levels toward the pair's other brothers, Dark and Vic.
Chosen gets along with Second best, surprisingly enough. Second is often the only one that can get Chosen to open up about something, and Dark will sometimes ask Second's assistance for exactly that, if Chosen is clammed up shut about something that's important or that is unhealthy to keep silent about.
Dark and Chosen have almost but not quite a twin relationship. They often have moments where they think of the same things at the same time, or are just in general on the same brain wavelength/thought train. Despite this, though, they aren't as closely bonded as actual twins often are. Chosen and Dark are really tight knit, but nothing like Chosen and Second together.
Vic has a bit of a temper, but his temper is soothed and tempered down by his brothers. Mostly Second. Second is the crux of the family, practically. Vic also gets along with the Color Gang very well, due to both parties sharing the trauma of being deleted.
If Second had an accidental hand in bringing Vic back from deletion canonically, then I'd headcanon that Vic gets along with the Color Gang on a closer/higher level.
And if Vic survived or revived a different way, I would like to assume it was painful and harsh, and so Vic would have a slight envy for the Color Gang's [more] pleasant and invigorating revival due to Second's energy.
Also, I have so many headcanons just interspersed throughout my fanfiction. XD
Like Dark being able to tell exactly how much time is passing between different events. He's the stick embodiment of a clock, stopwatch, and timer.

Characters I've contrived into fucking Karu

Blade. This one is easy, I have more than one concept lol (nosy Blade embarrassingly prodding Karu in the aftermath of an Aster/Karu punishment; Blade giving Karu and Garu the full belly rub special after they give him a cute birthday present)

Rin. Need a LOT more canon info to make this more than generic noncon.

Edmond. I actually have a "Garu is working as a K9 officer to sniff out drugs with Edmond and the knights but oh no sex pollen" premise, I hope someone else writes it for me but I might do it myself eventually.
Olivine. Okay this is probably the hardest... I got nothing. I do have images of Garu and Karu being really into booba for pubby reasons, but that doth not a fic make... or doth it?
Quincy. The reference in my Karu/Quincy does not count, it needs to be onscreen! I can easily think of situations in which these two would be alone in the forest. All it would take is some essence shenanigans to get things going.
Kuya. My kuyaru fixation mostly lies in Kuya/Karu so this is harder than it may seem... it would probably begin as Garu broaching the topic of Kuya/Karu. I also like the idea of Kuya giving him a condescending bath, but again, I'd rather do that for Kuya/Karu.
Dante. I think the dynamic would work quite well, because I like to write Dante as being weak to cute things, and he would probably appreciate and praise Garu's obedience, which would really do it for Garu. The problem lies only in a good premise...
Rei. I prefer the potential I see in Rei/Karu, but maybe a simple concept of Rei having an 'episode' and Garu being the only one around to help. Or Garu getting himself into a Predicament that needs a sexual solution (these mushrooms will only leave your system once you cum six times-)
Rin. See above.
Also a more direct Garu/Karu needs to happen of course...

[Would you ever want to turn writing into a career?]
Something I always wonder whenever I read a good fanfic.
I've been thinking about it since before I started writing fanfiction, tbh. Fifth grade. I started young lmao
But yeah. I've toyed with ideas from different genres, particularly during my Genre Writing class Senior year. I had an idea for a Dystopian/Fantasy story that my teacher loved, but one idea that keeps resurfacing in my brain is...well, *chuckles*
Apollo.
Could be the brainrot but...one thing that irks me in Greek Mythology retellings is how the gods (and our boy Apollo) are often portrayed. Now, I get that every retelling is basically published fanfiction of the myths, but there's a line between "fanfic/retelling" and "disrespectful to the OGs"
(this turned into a mini-rant, please excuse me lmao XD)
In Disney's Hercules, the mythology is a jumbled mess (and Apollo's barely there *huffs angry*). Though this is a kids movie so I hand-wave a pass to it because again, kids movie.
Also the soundtrack slaps. *shrug*
In The Song of Achilles, Apollo's (from what I hear- I haven't read it) apathetic and one-dimensional, as well as the other gods, which is not fun. LET THE GODS HAVE CHARACTER I SAY!
And sure, maaaaybe Apollo's portrayed that way because he hates Achilles, but...uh, if you read the mythology you'll find out that Achilles 100% deserves that hate. He murdered two of Apollo's sons - Tenes, who had nothing to do with the war and was trying to defend his sister from Achilles's unwanted advances and was killed in the process, and Troilus, who was a child and slaughter in Apollo's temple, on his altar, by Achilles.
Like come on. I am on Apollo's side here, Achilles had it coming.
And of course... *gags* LO. I do not even dare type the monstrosity out. Just...just disgraceful. Not only is Apollo done extremely dirty (and characterized in a way he never was in the actual mythology - *gnaws angry*), but from what I know, Leto and Demeter are also given terrible characterizations. And that's just not cool because they are GREAT MOMS.
Bet there's even more things that I'm unaware of that does the whole mythology dirty.
I guess it's partially from spite, but I really want to find some way of writing Greek Mythology, stay true to the classical versions of the gods while developing them, and provide a good story in the process. As well as respecting ancient greek culture as much as I can, because 1) culture is important in stories and 2) gives me an excuse to dive into ancient greek culture whenever I want because I like Doing That :)
I am a midwest American who has never left the country's borders but by god if I can swim in another country's history and culture it would be Greece. And I would never come out because I love learning about it.
Plus, I really love reading about the myths and if I could make a living basically writing mythology fanfiction, then sign me the fuck up I'm already doing it let's go.
It's an ambitious goal but I am up for the challenge.
My timeline certainly will come in handy for it :)
Sometimes being a writer is writing what you want to read, and sometimes it's getting so mad at what society is doing to your favorite that you start planning on defending his name through sheer force of will/writing :3

my s/i has... absolutely nothing to make anything with, but she does want to. in spirit. before she met anakin, she hated doing anything for anyone. she had to look after herself, and became fiercely independent. and no one had ever looked out for her, so why would she do it for others?
but anakin changed her mind. he's the only exception. she feels that he's the only one who truly deserves her kindness and service. all this to say, she's very bad at it at first and feels like she messes up at every possible opportunity. xD he still finds it sweet that she tries, since he knows how she was before and still is with other people.

canonically i think he takes the right side, so i'd take the left. honestly? my s/i is just happy to be in a bed, since what she has at "home" is not too comfortable -- so she isn't picky about it at all. when we do sleep together, it's really nice... my s/i hasn't even been that close to anyone before (unless it was in battle 😭). she still has a hard time realizing that he isn't going to hurt her...
also, no ritual or routine for my s/i. she usually just flops right down and is out pretty quickly. unless there's something on her mind. she spends a lot of time protecting her space from thieves and other assorted ruffians before she heads to bed that she's exhausted by the time that's done.
the first couple of nights we spend together, it's completely effortless 🥺 she feels so protected. (AGHNHH i'm going to start biting)
latte: what is your home décor like? what does yours and your f/o’s place actually look like?
they don't really have the chance to move into their own place together, hehe. so this is pretty moot, but my s/i brings a couple of important things with her (tbh it can all fit in her pocket; she has no attachment to what little she does own). she pretends that she isn't superstitious, but she does have a good luck charm; i can't decide on what it is, but it seems like something that would apply to her. she partakes in quite a bit of denial

a whopping 4 can you tell I don't write fics often!
though there actually used to be a few more short oneshots, but when I fell rather violently out of love with SPN, which they were for I just. couldn't stand to see them in there anymore (and I didn't like the writing itself anymore either) and I ended up deleting them... ^^"
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
41,198 (and the deleted fics would only have added around maybe 1000 words? 2k max but I don't even think they added up to that much)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
the only fics left are for DBH now, I have considered writing for Sandman, but tbh. there's sooooo many good writers in this fandom, anything I want to exist as fics is pretty much already there or in progress of being made and so I'm rather content to focus on art, slow at it though I may be :'D
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
er, well since there's only 4 of em:

...haven't yet, but the two fics in progres will have it. We'll find out h kind then I suppose.

I have not and don't know if I would? If I did I'd probably only very loosely do it, because I am not confident I could do each included world/fandom justice. That's easier with art for me than writing.

hmmm, not sure I write enough to really find em. minimalism? Shorter stories in a more minimal style I'd say.

hilariously, I think that's also minimalism. because writing longer overarcing storylines when this is your go to becomes difficult.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic.
well, I am German, so if the opportunity presented itself for a character where it works I could.
as far as writing in general in English goes. idk, I spent a lot of my time conversing and writing in English even outside the internet, and it's hard for me to judge how well lI'm doing in terms of er. written eloquence? I try my best and that's all I can do really.
For languages I don't know, I'd probably try to find someone who knows them or make really sure I've got it correct, I don't trust google translate enough :'D

Ok, since we're almost halfway through Pride Month, I feel like I should ask this: what are your sexuality headcanons for the Sans AUs, and how do you think they would act at a Pride Parade? Anyways, have fun, and Happy Pride Month!
Ahhhh I hate that it’s already almost done and I’ve done nOTHING. I was going to draw something, but we’ll see if I have time to before the end of the month. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
But but but I can do this much. Probably. XD
I’m only gonna do the main AUs cuz that’s a long list as it is, so apologies but I’m not adding like Razz or Sci or anything dhsjbfjsbd. But anyway since I know this will get long I’m cutting it off here. If you want my Pride Rambles heckin take them:
Going off a semi-peaceful multiverse of course, cuz I like everyone kinda getting along—
Classic: personally always seen him as Bisexual, but more leaning towards a masculine attraction. So like a 4-5 on the Kinsey Scale huehue. Honestly don’t think he’d go to a Pride Parade unless someone dragged him there cbsjfbjsnf, so he’s probably just lazing around/being carried the whole way, and wearing a million Pride accessories cuz his friends/brother just keep piling them on while he’s sleeping lmfao
Red: Mostly the same as Classic, tbh. Though he’d probably be picking a lot of fights with anti-protestors outside the parade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Blue: Pan, he likes anyone and everyone! As long as you meet his taco standards, gender plays no role. He’s definitely the energetic, supportive one at Pride that’s trying to make sure everyone feels happy and involved. He’s usually at the front of the parade, but also weaving through the crowd a lot. Someone says their family doesn’t support them?? Blue’s there to make you feel welcomed and valid no matter what. (ง’̀-‘́)ง
Lust: Demiromantic, Pansexual, and maybe Genderqueer. As in, he usually goes by he/him but doesn’t mind other pronouns, and will typically dress more feminine or masculine depending on however he feels. If he looks good, he looks good, gender expectations be damned. And I just think sexual attraction is one thing (kinda an important thing for his world, too), but being romantically attracted is rare. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ He be the one that’s always friendly-flirting at Pride, and complementing absolutely everyone. He’s totally dressed up with flare, but still stylish and in the colors of one of his flags huehue.
Ink: I go back and forth with Ink a little?? I kinda go by partial canon, seeing him as Asexual and Biromantic, but he’s not sex repulsed. I feel like with him making so many worlds and so many Lust variants, it’s more of a “yes this person is aesthetically sexy” rather than any actual feeling attached to it. XD He goes to Pride in a l l the colors. He’s probably passing out face paint and confetti poppers and other Very Messy Things too. Maybe he’s even painting people’s faces himself before the parade, honestly.
Error: Maybe Demiromantic, but otherwise boi be like Classic, just more grumpy and prone to anger. XD Idk if he’d really want to go to a Pride Parade, because of the crowds, but I suppose if he was he’d likely be in the waaaay back where no one else is, just people watching, maybe enjoying seeing a partner having fun themself and that’s it. … Or he’s on the sides of the parade threatening anti-protestors too, that’s probably a thing.
Dream: HMMMM thinking long and hard about the Dreamtale duo ngl. I just felt like they don’t really. Care about gender or anything at all, and probably didn’t have any of this in their village. I guess I can see Dream as questioning, but leaning towards Pan??? He’s probably been to so many Pride Parades though, let’s be honest. Soaking in the positivity and doing his best to cheer up anyone who’s scared or uncertain in themselves. I can see him educating himself in all the stuff he missed out on so he could lend semi accurate advice to anyone still questioning themselves. He be the therapist wherever he goes smh, but I’m sure there’s been multiple occasions that his friends have pulled him into the festivities as well. I can definitely see Lust and Ink making him dress up a bit. XD mayhaps…. 👀👀
Nightmare: mostly the same as Dream, but he’s had a lot more time to think it over. Idk, I’ve always seen him as Demiromantic, and then just not caring about gender at all. It’s the one thing he always respects in others because he just doesn’t understand mortals’ obsession with gender roles. He’s a murderer, but he’s a murderer that will get your pronouns right. He likely only goes to Prides because his boys go, lmao. He’ll do whatever they wanna do at the parade, within reason. That means no, he will not get his face painted, but they’re definitely able to throw some rainbow accessories and shit on him, even if he’s not happy about it. XD Gonna be washing the rainbow glitter out of his goop for MONTHS…
Cross: He be Bi, just like canon huehue. I’ve also been reading a lot of Trans Masculine fics lately, and I can see that. Idk if I’d ever outwardly mention it in a story, since I don’t personally know much about that kind of experience and don’t want to represent it wrong, but hey if you wanna see it in my fics go right ahead, I’m not against that at all! Cross probably swapped out his cape for a bisexual flag at Pride lmao, but he’s mostly there to accompany friends and/or partners, so he’s not super social with others unless they come up to him. A good guard against creeps though!
Horror: I was going to say Bi, but honestly, nah I think he’d be Gay. I just don’t see him being very interested in girls at all??? Femininity is fine, just not girls. He’s the big burly scary guy at Pride, I feel like he’d be getting a lot of attention he doesn’t know what to do with wheeeze. Might have also brought cupcakes or cookies tbh. Gotta make sure everyone isn’t skipping lunch and passing out during the parade.
Killer: Definitely Gay. The gayest of them all and he’s not ashamed of it. He’s probably causing a lot of chaos and arguments with anti-protestors or just general creeps, mostly cuz he finds their reactions funny. Otherwise he’s a flirty bastard and probably hanging off of Cross and/or Nightmare most of the day. Idk if he’d be wearing much flag/color wise, but he’s definitely trying to put stuff all over everyone else.
Dust: I’ve always seen Dust the most Classic like, so he’s Bisexual too for sure. He’s likely right beside Killer in causing chaos and threatening assholes, but he’s also staying by Horror so the big guy isn’t overwhelmed in the crowd. I’ll bet that Killer convinced him to make little poppers and actual fireworks, too wheeeze. Used safely, of course. Mostly. Probably. Sort of.
Fresh: AroAce. I just don’t see him as very interested in having partners honestly?? Doesn’t mean I haven’t liked some Fresh ships, but for the most part he’s chill being single in my AUs lmfao. Fresh probably brought so many things to the parade. He’s got huge rainbow flag that the crowd can carry over the top of them, a bunch of glow sticks for necklaces/bracelets, balloons, wigs, light up glasses, flags galore, anything and everything, all of questionable origin ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Honestly, I’m not usually a fan of having an entire group of characters identify under LGBT, because it’s not very realistic to me. Not that I’m against the people that do, of course! Do what you want, I don’t care. It’s just not how I roll ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿
But, all the Sans AUs are based on one dude, so it kinda makes sense that they’d all reflect him in some way, some more than others. And since I’ve always seen him as Bi/Pan, ya bet a lotta the AUs are kinda the same wheeeze. There are a lot of UT characters I see as straight, Sans just isn’t usually one of them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe that’s just me projecting onto my fav, but whatever, it’s fictional characters, why the heck not.
ANYWAY these are just my headcanons. It’s not usually a thing I pay much attention to, especially when reading other’s fics. I feel like it’s really up to interpretation most of the time, and that’s one of my favorite parts of fandoms XD

(navigatorsghost here on main btw) For the writing game I have to ask what's the deal with Mates and Memories, just because omg, Van Helsing?! Thank you!
Van Helsing! Which I wrote a little for back in 2010, and . . . never again. XD (I cleaned up one of the bits from back then earlier this year and posted it, first thing I ever have for the fandom; I don't know if there's anything else salvageable - or, rather, that I feel like reworking. XP)
BUT that process did make me think about it again, and I rewatched the movie (still excellent; I love Roxburgh's Dracula to bits, he's so fucking strange and Extra and delightful), more than once, and. . .
Mates and Memories is a WIP that is for a Small Fandom Fest prompt (which I obviously missed this round, whoop; perhaps I'll get it done for a future round? X'D), left in 2012.
The general premise is that Dracula isn't dead, and Van Helsing is still a werewolf, post-canon (prompt left open 'writer's choice how'), and at some point under a full moon, looking for his mate. . .
(I have also done entirely too much research for this; I have scrutinised forestry maps, elevation maps, conservation records, and a handful of other things for this very important background setting information for Van Fucking Helsing monster smut. Hello, it me, I am Like This.)
My spin for that 'how' is that as Van Helsing isn't exactly human to begin with, he wasn't quite a proper werewolf, either - which means a) the cure didn't work on him properly, and b) Dracula was ripped to hell harder than anything else could manage, but not actually killed.
Also, as a still-somewhat-werewolf . . . Van Helsing isn't going back to the Vatican. For some reason. Fast-forward to winter, and wolf mating season, and. . . >.> (Featuring monsterfucking, some dubcon on both sides tbh, Dracula being his Very Dramatically Extra Self (he is such fun to write, FYI), and hints at the History between Van Helsing and Dracula.)

Gabriel roared as his body reformed, bones crunching and muscles wrenching, shrinking back into something more familiar. He thrashed, falling back and away from chill, tacky skin, claws digging into the dirt a moment before they sank back into blunt nails.
He shuddered, pushing himself up on his aching knees - a throb, and then the ache faded . . . at least that one did - and-
A sinuous stretch beside him, both hellish red and ashy grey flesh fading into pale but human skin, and Gabriel twisted, falling backwards. ‟Fuck!” he breathed, eyes widening, flashes of the night twisting through his mind painted in heavy shadow and silvered moonlight.
Dracula laughed, lifting a hand and pulling a lock of his hair out of his face with his smallest finger, then tossing his head and meeting Gabriel’s eyes. ‟You’ve already done that.” he pointed out, rolling his shoulders. ‟Though you’re welcome to give it another try. Perhaps with less fur.”
A ragged gash torn out of his shoulder and the base of his neck slowly filled in as Gabriel watched, growing shallower and pulling together until there was nothing but unmarked skin. Gabriel swallowed, then licked his teeth, remembering the feeling of that flesh tearing beneath his teeth, muscle flexing as Dracula fought him.
Or. . .
No, he hadn’t . . . quite. He had fought, but-
‟You let me.” Gabriel said, rather than any of the other dozen things that wanted to spill from his lips.
Dracula looked . . . taken aback. Just for a moment. Then he laughed again, head falling back, and Gabriel tugged his legs in, frowning.
‟Ah, Gabriel.” Dracula grinned at him. ‟You never disappoint.” He paused, then arched his brows. ‟In any way, my old . . . friend.”
‟Friend.” Gabriel repeated. ‟I tried to kill you. I thought I had. How are you still alive?” he demanded.
Dracula rolled his shoulders. ‟You did kill me, once, Gabriel. Is that not enough for you? My, my.” His smile turned sharp, though his fangs were still hidden.

A few things to take note of: This post was written by a new fan of Free! (so I just got here, literally)
I might not know wtf I'm talking about here... no hates please. I'm a total newbie. Over the course of a week, I think though? Or almost two weeks, I have made some progress and decided on which characters are my favorites.
This is also coming from a person who almost shipped Ikuya x Haruka thanks to Dive to the Future LMAO- AND thanks to Dive to the Future once again- for making me realize that Haru acts differently when it comes to Rin (out of everyone), after all. Like, there's just something in the way he would act and think whenever/wherever Rin is involved... something to that effect. And thus, my stance on shipping RinHaru just became more SOLID instead.
Disclaimer: When I type out stuff like this, I often jump from one topic to another as I struggle composing myself and perhaps, complete my thought process...because there's just so many things running through my head xD like, I so desperately want to say them, or type them, but my attention span oh lord. Sorry in advance.

This is a post about my feelings about Haru, I suppose. (And Rin) (and some of the main casts??)
I know that for some, this could be up for debate, but coming from someone who just joined the Free! fandom not even two weeks ago like me (so technically, this is from an outsider's perspective), I would say Rin is the most suitable person for people like Haru (or you know, the perfect candidate to be with Haru) who, for the most part of the series, showed us just how "lost" he was in terms of what he could be in the future, which is always an important factor in anyone's life.
And I will tell you why I think so... You might tell me, "Why not Rei? Why not Nagisa? Why not Makoto? They were the three characters that were always by Haru's side the entire show!!" and I would agree with you on that... On the part that they were the three characters that were always in the same screen/scene/picture as Haru throughout show. But to see them as, "always by Haru's side in the sense that they met/make Haru realize his ACTUAL needs, as well as EVERY need?" I would have to disagree... They are great support for Haru, that much is true, but in terms of his future? The real deal? Long term kind of thing? It's an entirely different story.
Rin, however, made me see just how much he respected Haru—apart from the 1st season, obviously, since it's a plot device so we have a franchise haha. Post-war, Rin started coming back down to his senses and this is where we're finally seeing the REAL Rin. The real Rin who gave importance to Haru as a person, as a friend, as a rival, etc. And they didn't even have to be together 24/7, Rin just knows Haru SO WELL, he knows him like the back of his hand. It's as if he almost didn't leave the country and stayed with Haru all his life for him to memorize the little things that matter to Haru, that makes the guy happy.
Haru's routine goes: he wakes up, he hangs out in the tub, he gets out of it, and then wear an apron to cook his favorite meal, saba, before kickstarting his day. Rin never complained and even thought it was SO Haru... much like Nagisa, tbh! Another character who accepts Haru for the way he is! ^^ If I know anyone who did the exact opposite, well... whoever they are, I'm sure it's because they wish nothing but the best for Haru! But the question is: was it really the "best" for Haru? But that's besides the point. Thing is, Rin accepts Haru for who he is, and I love that for them... Makes for a healthy long term relationship, if I do say so myself. Less fights, less arguments, just healthy banter here and there. And I say healthy banter because I know that somewhere in there, Rin teased Haru about his saba obsession HAHA. (he even smelled it from him xD)
And so, LONG TERM relationship-wise, Rin takes the cake for me. Can you just imagine them being together for years and Rin still smiles at Haru lovingly, going, "Oh, my husband? Yeah, he loves eating mackerel. Haha. That's just how he is. If you don't have mackerel to get my husband fed, please get out of my face. Thanks."
I also love how Rin is not afraid of hurting Haru, or breaking his walls down, if what he'll tell him/do to him would mold him into something GREAT. All for his betterment, really. For Haru to be the best version of himself, something he didn't exactly expect - or something he never considered, before Rin.
Because all this time, Haru thought he'd just be a normal person come his twenties/twenty years of age, and really? That's it? For someone as talented as he is in the sport that is clearly a part of him?
We know Haru would say things such as, "I only swim free. I just like being in the water..." but that's not at all true. Not anymore, at least. If you remember, in season 1 when he raced Rin again and he lost to him, where Rin said "I don't have to swim with you again. Ever." Haru had some sort of awakening inside of him. Sure, we later on found out that it was still not about winning or times, but at least it was more than just being in the water, moving forward. He explicitly said that "I want to swim with Rin" — all shipping talk aside, that was Haru basically admitting that it was not just about him being in the water anymore. He craved more. So it is safe to say that whatever influence Rin has over him it is something positive. Rin will always have the greatest impact on Haru's life, no matter if it's positive or negative (i.e. quitting swimming bc rin quit too - unbeknownst to haru, rin quit swimming bc he hit a wall back in australia tho!), there's no doubt about it.

I know some would argue that Rin's being below the belt for pushing someone off-kilter like that, some might even accuse Rin of being selfish/pushy/toxic (meh he ain't), but jeez... That someone—Haru—thanked Rin for showing him something he'd never seen before, MANY TIMES, instead. He was just so grateful, man. The RinHaruRalia is one of the many proofs of that. It was not a smooth sail, for sure, it was rocky as heck... so many obstacles that Haru had to face, so many breakdowns and stuff like that, but HONESTLY THOUGH. Success is not something that was given to us just like that, it wasn't something that was handed to us on a silver platter... We fight for it, we cry and we break and sometimes even lose ourselves in between. But all that was part of the journey. And in the end, it was worth it. Who could've done that? If it wasn't for Rin; only if Rin didn't open his big mouth— But wait. Did Rin just really...give Haru some type of purpose...in life? Something to struggle and work for and train for, all because he really wanted it too, anyway? HUH. Just because he didn't consider it before (because hurray, no one ever gave him an idea except for someone who was miles away from him at the time), doesn't mean he really didn't want it in the first place :)
Rin just made him see the light, end of. Love that for them!!
Another thing, while I was watching I noticed how fond Rin was whenever Haru was simply being Haru. You know, his usual self. Like anything Haru did, Rin accepted no question. Oh, so Haru wanted to do this? Okay! Rin would be like yeah sure, because I know how you are, Haru, and I can jive with that. As long as I know you would be fine in the end, why not? He was never that friend who went, "Don't do that! Oh no, not that! Haru, stop!" even though Haru was basically doing something remotely...harmless? Just merely enjoying being himself??
Like, those are little things that one should be granting a friend. They were primitive things that could make Haru smile and happy, why can't you let him be? It's not like he'll hurt himself for real? And maybe Rin knows this, therefore he lets Haru be Haru, and that's so kakkoi of him, hands down. Makes for a healthy long term companionship, eh?
And to summarize, since my stomach is grumbling now and I haven't taken my lunch yet haha, these are just some of the keypoints as to why I think, personally (which means you don't have to agree with me, I'm not and will never force you to), Rin is GOOD for Haru. He spoils him, he tolerates him and at the same time accepts him for who he is/what he is, is never afraid to TELL HIM WHAT IT IS, speaks his mind around Haru, doesn't tiptoe around Haru, etc.
Anyone who's in a longtime friendship with someone, or anyone who is best friends with their partner/girlfriend/boyfriend must know how lucky they are to have someone who can easily bonk them right across the head, unafraid to get frank with them, if they're already being stupid. I myself know. Because they're being real to me—transparent with me. They never had to worry about being on my good side, because they know what their doing was only for my own good.
And you know why that is? Well, no other reason aside from they love me. They want to see me grow into my full potential, and I think that's... *insert any positive adjective here*. And for that, I would surely love them back, I won't even have to question it.
And that, my friend, is RIN to Haru. They are perfect for each other, best anchors of one another.

As someone who isn't that into comics, what Doctor Doom stories would you recommend?
Okay, so the biggest and most important one that I'll recommend is Doctor Strange & Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment. It's a great character study on Doom and has some of the very best writing on him. If you read nothing else Dr. Doom related, do this one. It's, imo, his very best story.
If you want something more villainous, try Fantastic Four: Unthinkable. It's one of the darkest Doctor Doom stories and really showcases how far he's willing to go to get the better of his adversaries.
Thor #601 - 606 is probably my favorite Doom story to read because it's Doom and Loki's big team up arc together, and they are GLORIOUS together. It has their Vivisection sex dungeon and everything XD
A lot of people will recommend Books of Doom to you, and it's definitely the most comprehensive Doom origin story that we have. Though I'm personally more partial to the origin telling in Fantastic Four Annual #2. But both are worth reading - don't just do one or the other since Books of Doom is from Doom's PoV and plays with the unreliable narrator shtick.
His and Iron Man's Camelot adventures in Doomquest are also really iconic. The original story is in Iron Man #249 - #250 and there's a sequel miniseries Iron Man: Legacy of Doom that's really great and also high key homoerotic XD
Fantastic Four #57- #60 is when he first stole the Silver Surfer's power cosmic. Great classic issue, though if you watched the 90s Fantastic Four cartoon, the season two finale is basically the exact same story condensed so you're not really missing much if you just watched that episode and not read the comic.
Emperor Doom (Marvel Graphic novel #27) is great and has Doom actually succeed in taking over the world, and it also is a great character study on Doom.
Secret Wars and Children's Crusade are both big entire Marvel universe spanning story arcs where Doom is the main villain. He's a major character in Heroes Reborn, Acts of Vengeance, and Dark Reign, so I recommend any issues featuring him in those runs as well.
And then of course, I always recommend checking out basically any comic that he appears in that you can get ahold of. The initial Fantastic Four appearances are great, he some great run ins with the Avengers, there's a few Spider-Man and Thor issues featuring him, and so on. He's a very rich an exciting character to read for, so I really just recommend almost all of his appearances tbh XD

Hello again, it's the guy who wants to write you a gift, his first ever Sterek fic. I've decided once I post my 100th work on AO3 - I'm only 2 away - I'll attempt to write something decent. It won't compare to your work 😂, but I'll try to make it good. I should warn you though, I'm VERY GOOD at not finishing what I start. I'd say about three quarters of my works are WIPS. But I know you were excited about spawning more Sterek in the world, so I guess one chapter is better than nothing right? 😅 All I can do is try I guess... I just hope you like whatever I come up with. I currently have 6 outlined plots... I don't know which one to choose... No pressure to make the right choice... 😅 PS: one is actually finished, but it's based on that baseball gifset and whilst I love that gifset and wrote something inspired by it, the characters are too ooc and I want my first fic to feel more authentic, if you get what I mean? So yeah, that can be my second Sterek fic, assuming people want to read anything more of mine after the first fic. 😅

And don’t worry about WIPs and about not finishing. I honestly have so many WIPs that sit unfinished, people just don’t know about them because I only post completed works haha. I’m sure that you can finish something if you get inspired, but whether that happens in a week, a month, ten years, it doesn’t matter. And even if you never finish it, as long as you had fun telling the story you got out to the point it’s at, that’s what really matters :)

1. Are you named after anyone?
Possibly a great, great(?) grandmother I never had the chance to meet, via middle name, though it’s been... probably at least a decade since I heard that tatter and I’m not sure how correct it is, lol. I’m... not particularly close to a vast majority of the family, tbh, given Drama(TM). Mom picked by meanings though. I know that was very important to her.
2. When was the last time you cried?
I... think I cried a little about a week and a half ago in one of my classes. Not because the class, I promise, lol. We watched the pilot episode of a show called Station Eleven in class and that was a gut puncher.
3. Do you have kids?
No, thank you. My pets and my OCs are all I need, lol. Very ace. Not my personal cup of tea.
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Mmmm. I wouldn’t say regularly. It has its moments and I’m sure I was a bit more brutal with it when I was a kid, but its purpose isn’t generally helpful in areas where I need to communicate. I think most of the things I say sarcastically now are probably in regards to fictional characters. xD
5. Favorite time of day?
Late evening, in that like seven - ten pm range. Generally evenings. I’m absolutely not a morning person. If I’m up rather early, I’m tired later in the day. Evening tends to host “me” time.
6. Eye color?
Good ol’ reliable brown. (I need more brown eyed ocs, tbh?) Fun fact: eyes are kind of what enchants me, irl and I probably tend to be a bit invested in fictional character eye colors, too, lol. They’re beautiful. I have no other explanation. That said, I’m very shy about eye contact until I feel more comfortable with people/get to know them better.
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings, if I’m picking between them and scary. I don’t do horror, I am baby. I can be enraptured by a decent thriller and loved a good crime drama TV show. I can kind of do paranormal stuff sometimes, but I can scare myself just thinking a little too hard about it, so very hesitant.
8. Any special talents?
Mmmm... nothing nontraditional, I suppose. I had a few music teachers tell me when I was younger that I have hands that would’ve been great for piano, but I wasn’t super interested in pursuing musical interests outside of, like, basic school requirements. I did chorus for a while, but was kinda eh. I did enjoy acoustic guitar, but, again, not exactly enough that I ended up doing anything with it.
9. Where were you born?
Rural northeastern US of A. I miss having a fall season, but decidedly not enough to give up the warmth of living much farther south.
10. What are your hobbies?
Largely video games, lol, if it was hard to tell. I’d like to do more drawing and get into digital art. I am majoring in Digital Media Design, after all. One of my hopes is to properly play around with a tablet I bought myself over the summer while I take a break from courses. I desire to draw my blorbos, haha!
11. Do you have any pets?
Two ball pythons, the loves and amusing occasional nuisances of my life! They made a brief appearance on my main here. There’s also two dogs in the house, James and Cooper. Cooper is definitively my mom’s dog, however, and, jokingly, my little brother. (He’s her favorite. We all know this.) Cooper is... ??? We think a Collie mix. And James is a Basset-Lab, both adopted about a year or two apart, if I remember right.
12. What sports do you/have you played?
Oh, actual eons ago, I briefly played soccer (probably not very well) when I was very, very small. I have ridden horses (I miss them, Brent), but primarily only in schooling shows and I did participate for a few years in my barn’s summer gaming series just at Walk/Trot. I used to ride low-level jumping courses. Competitive sports haven’t ever really been my thing, particularly to participate in. I would’ve called riding one of my hobbies while I did. It’s an expensive one though and a bit of a tricky one to get back into when balancing college and part-time retail work. My mom and I try to stick to our developed tradition of selecting a local trail riding venture to attend every year for my birthday though that keeps that connection outside of whatever I vicariously pick up through games, lol.
13. How tall are you?
5′5ish. A smidgen shy, but that’s what they put on my license.
14. Favorite subject in school?
Histories and sciences. If I wasn’t so averse to writing research papers and math, I have genuinely considered majoring in either area. Unfortunately, my university doesn’t have a program for meteorology (weather and natural events are a somewhat more recent interest of mine) and video games evidently have some staying power as my interests, so that’s how I ended up in DMD.
15. Dream job?
I’m honestly not sure anyone has a really solid answer to this question, lol. I certainly don’t. I... went into DMD partially because it was interesting enough and I genuinely felt college would benefit me somehow. While I like my pet store job, it’s not exactly where I’d like to spend the next twenty years, even if I am a creature of habit that balks at change, lol.
So, theoretically, I’m studying DMD and entertaining the idea of a minor in creative writing because characters have always been one of the most important aspect of games to me. The idea is to maybe pursue a focus on character or scenario writing, but I... really don’t know, lol. I’m still largely clearing prerequisites and other structural graduation requirements, so I haven’t really dug into the focus areas of my degree yet and I definitely still doubt that I know what I’m doing or if it’ll genuinely be something I can pursue.
It’s definitely scary and I absolutely struggle with that uncertainty, but it’s also a process of just trying to remind myself that it’s a skill and therefore it is something I can develop if I put the work in - that’s the whole purpose of taking classes, after all. It’s something I’m trying to be more conscious of because I have found it very easy to slip into the student mindset of doing things just for class, so I’m still not sure what all I have as far as presentable skills or how to showcase them. But that is... off the base question, I suppose, lol.
