Oh, don't worry about only being in high school. I'm glad that you intend to get an English degree! It can be difficult to pursue writing with so many people discouraging it. So congratulations, and good luck! Also, I was wondering if you could recommend some books that talk about gaining more confidence as a writer. If you don't know of any, you don't have to go out of your way to look. I was just wondering.
Hi, and thank you! Honestly, I’m super excited to continue my future in English.
I’ve only read a couple of books on writing that stick out in my mind -- unfortunately, neither of them deals directly with how to gain confidence, but honestly, reading both gave me a confidence boost (maybe just because I felt like I was doing something to better myself). The two books I really remember are On Writing by Stephen King and How to Write a Damn Good Novel II  by James Franco (I didn’t read the first one, because I found the sequel at a thrift store, and it wasn’t in a matching set). In On Writing, Stephen King also endorses The Elements of Style by William Strunk Jr. I’ve yet to read The Elements, but it’s on my list.
I hope those help! If you need anything else, please feel free to ask. - @authors-haven
