#but i like zombies. and i don't KNOW the original re. so i win
ok now that i’ve finished the resident evil show and looked into the tags i am now learning everybody hates it
i just went in with 0 expectations and i really liked it sdlfkskfsj
this is probably largely because i’m not familiar with the games, only the movies which i love purely because of how attractive the main actor is (look. it’s my one set of movies i love because i’m being gay. let me have that.) and i barely remember the plot. it is probably because i went in with zero attachments to ‘resident evil’ and just went neat! a show! and watched it with basically no context
anyway. without that context. quite good imo. had a cool sisters dynamic. a giant crocogator. family. fucked up family. really fucked up family. damn that’s fucked up. holy god damn motherfuck what in the fuck. zombies. yeah. that’s pretty much all i need

Scar, Survivors, and the Earth.
In the context of just recently (15 min ago) having finished Scar's final Secret Life Episode, and thinking about the "celestial" aspect that some people like to assign to the winners, Scar is, without a doubt, the Earth.
Let's go back to the beginning: - Scar fails his initial task. Grian, ever the Watcher enabler, allows him to re-roll, and allows people to help him with his task. - This never happens again. - His second task is still okay! He has to hype up Pearl, which he succeeds at. It's part of his marketing! Trader Scar's, the new and (mostly) honest plan. He will be better this season. He will make friends and it'll all be okay. - Again, this does not happen. - His next tasks are: take, ignore, hustle, corrupt, and destroy. It is obvious that Scar is not in the Watcher's favor. He broke the rules at the beginning, and he must prove himself to win. We've seen what happens to rulebreakers, but we've also seen what happens to winners: they never enjoy their win, and they always die. Scar breaks this last part. Everyone at the end of Secret Life is afraid, and ready for it to be over. There has been increasingly high tension in the past few sessions, and everyone knows that this is the final few hours. They will die, and many know that they are not the ones who will make it to the end. Weirdly enough, Scar does not fit into this. He doesn't think he'll win, sure, but he's not going to just give up! What would be the point in all the villainy if he gave up now? And so, in his words, he will blend in with everyone, not in any attempt to make friends, but just to survive a little longer.
The worst part about this is, that at the end, through the desperation of everyone else, Scar finally makes friends. He helps Joel and Bdubs. He works with Pearl after her original allies have died. Scott asks, betrayed, why Scar didn't join their group. Scar would have made friends if not for his tasks, which after Session 2, all required isolation. But in the end, at the final stand, Scar has more people on his side than he knows what to do with. He bounces between groups, unsure of where he should stick, or why he should stick anywhere at all. He is about survival. And that is why Scar wins.
Scar wins through a number of factors (Grian's TNT attack on Gem, Gem sacrificing herself for Scott, Pearl purposefully missing a few swings with her sword), but he wins. And, most importantly, after winning, he doesn't die. Standing in that ravine with the realization that he killed Pearl, that he won, he lets the zombie take him down to half a heart, but he lives. He towers up out of the ravine. He does not jump. He makes his way back to the Secret Keeper and says "I succeeded." Scar is the Earth in the way that he keeps going. Scar refuses, now, to lay down and die, to let these games keep ending with a final death. He is surprised that he's won, but he is satisfied that he felt it was fair, that he didn't take lives just for the sake of a win. He distributed them, helped others, wanted to make sure people knew that they were good at the game.
He says to Pearl, when she offers her life to him, "I genuinely don't want to win that much, to kill you for that." People see Scar as a liar, a hustler, and a betrayer - but in the end, Scar is, in a way, justice. He knows what it feels like to give up, and he's not doing that anymore. He refuses to win at the cost of others. He is the planet that supports life, the planet that gives and takes, and he is the ocean that supports and drowns and makes hurricanes and gentle waves. Scar is Earth, because behind the layers of the many facades, he helps. He will win, but not by bringing other people down. He is loyal, but not to a fault.

@spinnerofink I was trying to answer your ask but Tumblr ate it, so this the next best thing (don't worry, I didn't have to re write the answer)
So there we go!
For you let's ramble on the Brujay time travel fic (that may or may not become a brujaykhoa, for reasons)
Also I apologize for any typos, weird tenses, etc, this isn't meant to be a clean piece.
So the basic idea started with me being salty with a fic I was reading, it was a Tim time travel fic and I was like: Jason would work better with this idea (not offense to the original writer, just personal taste) and well things spiraled.
So the idea is that a 30+ years old Jason from after a zombie apocalypse (sort of inspired by DCdeceased but not really has I haven't read it yet), ends up around 25 years in the past, when the first dinamic duo is still going strong and his younger counter part is just 9 years old.
I have the barest idea for a plot, just Jason comes back in time and while he does the classic preventing future tragedies thing, he also take over crime alley has it's protector, and becomes something of a mentor for many future heros because he doesn't want any more dead kids.
The Brujay part comes in because Bruce will hear about this new vigilante in "his" city and start obsessing has he does, he will try to control Jason and impose his morals (no killing etc). But this Jason has much more experience over Bruce and doesn't bow down to his wims, this would degenerate in to fights that have Jason show off his training and kick Batman and Robin asses (look UtRH Jason nearly beat Bruce several times, a older and more experienced Jason against a younger Bruce? Not even a chance, he knows all their moves and he is a tricky motherfucker, he would win). Bruce would notice that he has very familiar moves and start investigating where this mysterious man would have come from (also he would be horny on main, look Bruce has a type and Jason smashes all the buttons). This could include Minhkhoa getting involved, I haven't decided yet.
But for the most part we would be following Jason.
(Also this isn't very important for the plot but it's important for me, but this version of Jason is a trans guy, just so you know)
One of the first scene I visualised for this fic was Jason reunion with Catherine.
Jason would be investigating his old apartment to get an idea on the situation, his original plan is probably to try to help his younger self from a distance maybe get in to contact later, but doesn't want to put them in danger by contacting them. That plan goes out of the window when he see his mother shitty dealer (you know the one from cheer) getting an "extra" payment (aka sexual favours). He burst in to the room and beat the shit out of the man before throwing him out of the door (or maybe the window?).
And then the fight is done, the adrenaline is gone, and the only one left are him, his younger version, and a very alive, very scared Catherine. Now Jason is very quietly panicking in his head, and he just defaults to his victim training and his old habits of taking care of his mother, calming her and baby Jay down and cleaning up the place, making dinner with what there is in the house. Catherine and Jay would be very skittish, but have an instinctive trust, something very unusual for them, and after a while Catherine would notice something that lets her connect the dots, a mole or a very distinctive scar on adult Jason that combined with how he is acting let her recognise her adult son.
That moment would be very emotional, Jason would have spent the time before (either a few days or just hours depending on what I'm doing) pretty much suppressing all his emotions on finally having his mom back, and at that point they would brust forward turning this tank of a man in a weeping mess.
That or Jason breaks down after beating the shit out if the dealer and Catherine recognise him then.
I'm undecided between this two options for that.
But part that stays the same is Catherine holding Jason face in her hands and whispering "Jay" with a voice bursting with emotions, and big scary Jason on his knees looking up to his mom with a trembling lip and tears in his eyes before hugging her and sobbing his heart out in her arms.
Catherine and Jay would be his first contacts in the local community to help him set himself up.
Between settings himself up in the neighborhood and and more general time travel stuff Jason would contact Willis and bust him out of prison.
And I'm going with my own interpretation of Willis (link), so he would be useful to Jason to keep things up when he has things to do outside of Gotham or he need back up. There would be a whole subplot with the two of them reconnecting and Willis actually sharing his past with his family for first time after beginning faced with what with his adult son that had killed in part because of the secret he keep. (Lots of comparison/parallels between him and Bruce of the original timeline)
Also Willis when seeing adult Jason commenting "ah I see you took after your mother" meaning Lady Shiva, because outside his height and build he has nothing of Cain. But Jason never knew who is actual bio parents where in the other timeline.
One of the priorities that Jason has outside of Gotham is finding Cass, by this time she had already ran away from Cain and is now homeless.
In the other timeline Jason and Cass had become pretty close, has the oldest of the family to survive and after a while the only ones. Bruce, Dick, and Tim were the first to die, the rest following in the years after.
They learned to work together His methods are now better to this new situation and she recognised the pratcality of it but she never gave up on her ideas and never killed again. It made her a less effective fighter so she shifted her focus in other areas, evacuation, etc.
Jason deeply admired her in that future, they learned to share space with eachother, and bonded on their experiences living on the streets and the interest that they had in common (they never talked about the family they both lost, when the grief hit too much they would just sit together in silence remembering).
He was gutted by her death. She always seemed invincible, but in the end one mistake was enough.
He had long before promised her that he would stop her if she was infected, and after a mission gone wrong he is the one to track down her zombie, putting it down and burning the remains, keeping the promise.
Now in this different past he uses what she had told him of his life on the streets to track her down and taking her with him back to Gotham, he was not able to save her in that terrible future, and he may not be able to give her her childhood back now, but he can give her a family.
On the more "heroic" scale Jason get in contact with several of his old contacts to get stuff done on a larger scale to prevent various catastrophies.
Two of the people that he got in touch with were his exs, Talia and Slade. (Yes I'm problematicTM, I don't care)
Meeting Talia was jarring, she was so painfully young, so different from the woman he remembered, so idealist, she was still studying to become a medic, but still the steel in her spine was the same.
Slade in so many ways was both easier and harder to deal with, he hadn't yet lost his children, and he was somehow even more of a bastard from the future timeline version. Still with some generous use of blackmail and future information on how to save his family they hashed an agreement.
During this he may meet a young Tera, and meeting this painfully young angry version of a girl that he know would have died in just a few years brought back memories of when he was a furious young man. Idk how but I want Jason to become her mentor and having to dodge her very unwanted flirtations, because that's Tera and that's the shitty coping mechanism of her choice (and Jason understand the urge). Idk this part of the story would require more work, at the moment it's mostly just vibes.
Going back to the Brujay during all of this we would occasionally jump back to Bruce pov, and while Jason doesn't think much about this timeline Bruce (outside how to avoid him if he would interfere with his plans), Bruce is absolutely obsessing over this mysterious new opponent.
Also Dick is dealing with the worst sexuality crisis after dealing with Jason, and he absolutely hate that Bruce has a very obvious new crush on this man, he already has to deal with the drama with Selina, Harvey, and Minhkhoa. Poor boy wants to rip his hair out because of Bruce inability of keeping it in his pants.
--------------------------------
So this is about it. There are some more bits and pieces that I didn't know where to fit that's the general idea. Hopefully it wa enjoyable.
Tagging @captainclovis because you were also interested in this idea

We’ve got a Resident Evil reboot cast with lots and lots of familiar faces.
Me:😬😬😬😭😱
We can count how many good video game adaptations have been made so far, and the pieces in the Resident Evil film series certainly aren’t among them, although perhaps the cult of the first part of 2002, The Hive, has developed in some circles. But now! Netflix is also attacking with a series on the subject, which looks very promising based on the first info, and we’re also getting another movie that will re-emerge to win game fans on the big screens as well. The latter finally came to light in his cast, which is more than encouraging. You can see the names in parentheses with their previous movies / series and their iconic characters in the list below.
Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Movies) - Claire Redfield ⬇
Tumblr media
Hannah John-Kamen (The Ant and the Wasp) - Jill Valentine⬇
Tumblr media
Robbie Amell (Flash - The Lightning) - Chris Redfield⬇
Tumblr media
Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) - Albert Wesker⬇
Tumblr media
Avan Jogia (Zombieland: The Second Shot) - Leon S. Kennedy⬇
Tumblr media
Neal McDonough (Yellowstone) - William Birkin⬇
Tumblr media
Fans of games certainly don’t need to introduce any of the characters, but for those who don’t know them, let’s say a few words about them! Claire and Leon were last seen in the Resident Evil 2 remake, they were the protagonists who teamed up in Racoon City to survive the zombie apocalypse and the appearances of Mr. X, who traversed everyone and everything as an unstoppable terminator. We also saw Jill Valentine again in the processing of Resident Evil 3, she was also the protagonist, as was Chris Redfield, who will play a more important role in the promised Resident Evil Village by 2021. Opposite them, Albert Wesker, head of a police force called STARS, is a returning negative hero who was the last major enemy in story 2005 in Resident Evil 5, but also appeared as a playable character 10 years later in one of the game modes in Resident Evil: Revelations 2. William Birkin is also an antagonist in games who was the protagonist of Resident Evil 2: he created the G virus and is partly responsible for the release of the T virus.
Based on the characters listed, it can also be guessed that Resident Evil’s reboot will be an origin story that is promised to faithfully follow the story of the Resident Evil game series since 1996. The film takes us back to 1998, a key night in Racoon City’s history, and the infamous Spencer residence will also be a highlight in it. (Source: Deadline)
The film is directed by Johannes Roberts (47 meters deep), who is said to be a big fan of the games, written by Greg Russo (new Mortal Kombat film) and produced by the long-established Constantin Film (Seventh, Sixth Sense, and of course The Hive). We hope you get off to a good start and forget about The Hives branded by Milla Jovovich and Paul W. S. Anderson!
Infomartion IGN hungarian web.
Me: happy who. but when I saw them they look like. "what the hell fucking choices are these!"
Tumblr media
I wasn’t happy to see these, but I only accepted some of them. So? I think you think so too, maybe.
Chris Redfield = very good!
Claire Redfield = maybe
Albert wesker = maybe good...
but these two! terrible very much!
Me if there was a Re6 movie then I would choose this actor! Alexander Skarsgård maybe
Tumblr media
I don't even want to see this actor in Avan Jogia! I do not need you! and Jill the same! they look even better @netflix !!!!
I really didn’t like why. because others sure don’t like it especially those who are character fans. I’m just saying better looking Leon kennedy and Jill Valentin!

I had books that I either loved or hated so idk maybe I need to do another unhaul to ensure I read books I'll actually enjoy.
1- OtherEarth (Otherworld #2) by Jason Segel
🌟🌟
So this was a big disappointment. It started out fine, but I had this bad feeling about what the twist of this book would be about 50% into it, and then the twist comes and it was just as bad as I feared. Honestly I don't even know if I wanna continue with the last book, I have it but honestly I can't say I am looking forward to it, it wasn't just the plot that fell down but the characters felt pretty inconsistent and yeah not a fan.
2.- Fireborne (The Aurelian Cycle #1) by Rosaria Munda
🌟🌟
The only thing I knew going into this was that it was inspired by Plato's Republic and that it was similar to Game of Thrones, so maybe that is why I found it pretty underwhelming. Like yeah I could see why it was based off the Republic with this system of education (tbh I still found it pretty basic and very much alike to other social systems I've read in other YA books) and there was some intresting tid-bits but not enough to keep me intrested. Now the characters, I liked both individually (unpopular opinion but I liked Annie more, I thought she had real potential but it was wasted because the moment she and Lee have this romance her character completely lost herself on thinking about him and what he did all the time) but I do not think they worked together romantically. There is some potential drama for book 2 but I am not intrested in reading it.
3.- The Mistress (The Original Sinners #4) by Tiffany Reisz
🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book was so good. Yeah it was super predictable, but the drama tho. I really loved Layla, she gave us an outsider's insight on Søren and Nora's relationship, and she is just the sweetest that I instantly knew she and Weasley were gonna get together. I cried at that last confrontation scene with Nora and Marie Laure and I am so happy that Nora is back together with Søren because they are truly a good couple despide everything.
4.-Gods of Jade and Shadow - Silvia Moreno Garcia
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I LOVED it. Ever since I saw the cover I was sold. This book I feel like it was meant for me. Like our protagonist Casiopea Tún is a dark skinned mexican girl of mayan descent in the 1920s who meets one of the lords of Xibalba and goes on a quest to help him retake his throne???? And on the way he falls in love with her so much he is about to forfeit his divinity to have a chance to be with her. I just, it was so beautiful, I felt my culture was really represented here, and it's so wierd to see the 1920's represented in Mexico I don't believe I had read something like this before and I will read anything Silvia Moreno Garcia writes from now on. Hopefully we will have a second book for this because that ending makes me wonder what adventures Casiopea will have.
5.-Little Gods by Meng Jin
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book blew my mind. The structure is perfect for the themes . Su Lan was a truly fascinating character though I felt very sad about her, always wanting to escape her past and thinking she was so undeserving for anything good in her life and still fighting to go on. The ending was so good, and all the cast of characters made an excellent conection between the past and the future.
6.- As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Yeah I am a pretentious ho. I was very intimidated by this book (and anything written by Faulkner really) and I was really having trouble understanding the book at first because the prose is so particular (there are sentences that read like Shakespeare, some are almost Biblical stuff and then most of the dialogue is this very coloquial english with very poor ortography) and as English is not my first lenguage I struggled. But then we get to Addie's death and all this odyssey the family goes through to bury her, and it was so beautiful and exciting. I especially loved everything about Addie's chapter, she was so much better than her husband and she deserved better than what she got. I really liked Dewey Dell and Darl. While I hated Anse Bundren with a passion so the end really made me angry like waaaaat this selfish asshole gets everything he wanted and then some??? But I got why it made sense for the book. So I definitely recommend this, but my advice is to let yourself glide through the book, do not try to understand or make sense of it as you start it because then you become frustrated like it happened to me at first but it's a really beautiful book so I am really considering reading more Faulkner.
7.-Chosen (Slayer #2) by Kiersten White
🌟🌟🌟🌟
I enjoyed this book so much. It's a very easy read and we get some growth on Nina and Artemis. I liked the idea of the Watcher's Castle being a refuge for inofenssive demons. And omgggg I fangirled SO hard when Oz, Harmony and Clem appeared (my fave characters, like literally I only need a Spike cameo in these books to be completely happy). I really wanna see Nina meet Buffy in real life and ahhh I am excited for whatever the next book will bring us.
8.-Out of Salem by Hal Schrieve
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is perharps my favorite book I read this month. It felt so relevant to things that are happening in the world, but escapist enough to bear it. For starters I love a good urban fantasy setting, and this was it. Z was a great non-binary protagonist (the fact the author is also non-binary also helps) like it was pretty original to make them a zombie when necromancy is viewed as wrong in their society and they get discriminated for it even though they knew nothing about how it happened to them. And their friendship with Aysel (lesbian muslim werewolf girl!!!) and Tommy (shapeshifter boy) was amazing. Like the way this book translates real life bigotry and social injustice to this magical creatures was truly amazing I recommend it to everyone of any age. Especially middle graders as this book is meant for that age group and I feel this is an amazing diverse read for that age group.
10.-Riot Baby by Tochi Onyebuchi
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A book so relevant in our current times. So powerful and impactful even if the book is pretty short. We get to see how the systematic racisim at work. We get to get a glimpse of this awful reality through Kev and Ella, two gifted siblings that have lived this experiences in different ways and they cope with this in vastly different ways.It was such an intimate read I cannot begin to describe how angry and sad it made me, but also very glad I got to read it because we need to keep being aware that this is the reality for black people all around the world and they don't get to shy away from it so we shouldn't either we should see, learn and fight as hard as we can to change things for the better.
11.-Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I re-read this book to have it fresh in my mind before the new series airs on July. And I liked it better now than the 1st time. This world is so scary because I see so many realistic elements it shares with the present. I felt a lot for Lenina (for everyone who lives in this world really) because she wanted more than what the society had to offer yet was so deeply conditioned as to what was right that she could just supress her emotions with soma. This book is of course full of racist and sexist stuff (cuz woman and indigenous people can never win) but I feel it helps to get a feel about how fucked up society is as a whole. In the reservation woman are subjected to the usual slut shaming and gender roles we get in our society while in London we get a world in which woman are judged for not sleeping around and being happy and infantile. Like it seems controling woman and their relationship to intimacy and sex is always a bit theme is classic dystopic books which makes a lot of sense given it works like that in the real world too. Same thing with indigenous people being treated as savage to congratula te ourselves for being so much more "civilized" never stopping to think how deeply fractured and flawed this may be. We also get explotation and brain washing of working classes and all that fun stuff. Really and amazing book eerily accurate tho.
12.-Brick Lane by Monica Ali.
🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is the story of 2 very different Bangladeshi sisters with very different temperaments making their way through life. Nazneen is a very dutiful daughter that marries the man her father picked for her, moves to London, though her husband doesn't make her happy she tries very hard in this foreign country with so many desires of her own she wishes that she always supresses because of her upbringing. Then we have Hesina, she was always beautiful and runs away with a guy she was in love with, later he abandons her and she gets jobs and loses them because different man keep making her fall for them to abandon them later. Different as they are this 2 Sisters keep relying in each other through letters. I thought it was very moving, and I really liked the ending for Nazneen while Hasina left me feeling worried and unhappy.
13.- Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
🌟🌟
I was very hyped for this book and I am so sad I didn't like it. I just didn't feel the world building was cohesive (we have space travel but we don't have baths??? And rapiers as weapons??? Most of it felt like aesthetic decisions) the characters felt very one dimensional to me. And the plot was all over the place, just when I thought I knew what it was about it takes another turn and introduces so many generes but it did not feel natural at all so yeah I will not be reading the next one.
14.- Luces de Bohemia de Ramón Maria del Valle Inclan
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Me pareció una obra maravillosa. Definitivamente captura el espíritu creativo bohemio.
15 .- Don Juan Tenorio de José Zorrilla
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Chit chat show: The Walking Dead 'Say Yes'
Doing something a little different here for fun. Instead of posting a post-show recap, here's a transcript of a chat I had with fellow Walking Dead fan Juli Harland during our mutual watching of the show. Make of it what you will.
Todd: Scavenge, scavenge, fuck, scavenge.
Juli: It's all about balance
Todd: Already it feels like Rick wanting to stay away awhile longer will be a problem for alexandria
Juli: Lol likely
I think he just misses getting good nookie
Todd: Well yeah. Back of the van nookie.
Juli: She's gonna give up the women's camp
Todd: Well yeah.
It's a question of how long.
Juli: Because they have the guns
Todd: That's been obvious since she found the damn camp.
"WE NEED GUNS NOT OINTMENT"
Juli: Dinner!
Todd: Haha
I think you're like 20 seconds ahead of me.
Cuz I was like, "That just looks like coffee, not dinner. Oooooohhhhh."
Juli: This won't be good
Todd: That zombie has a gun
Juli: Ew
Todd: lol
Being undead isn't a look that works for everyone.
Haha, toy gun.
But no, don't search the rest of the house.
Juli: Oh my
Zombie jackpot
Todd: It's a fucking carnival
Rick, you better win Michonne the best stuffie out there.
Juli: Oh Shit
Shit Shit Shit
Todd: lol
This is like the zombie holocaust harlequin romance.
Juli: Hahahahaha
Todd: Wait, what was Rosita's plan for the gun originally?
Juli: Kill Negan
Todd: Well, yes, but she tried that.
What was she going to do differently that would have made everything different?
Juli: P
Oops
Todd: She's not wrong. He's also not wrong.
Except for the anything is possible bit.
That's just objectively not true.
BEEF BRISKIT!
in a bag!
So basically, her plan is to get rid of one guy who arbitrarily makes the rules and replace him with someone else who arbitrarily makes the rules, except she just happens to like this second guy.
Juli: Yup
Todd: CHILI AND MAC AND CHEESE WTF
Juli: But he's being a pussy. All no no, don't want to go
It's army rations
Todd: Well, would you go back if there was CHILI AND MAC AND CHEESE TOGETHER!?
Plus van fucking?
I mean, I wouldn't.
Juli: Holy shit
Todd: Well, maybe I would.
A bed is nice.
Juli: That baby is huge
Todd: That's not a baby.
And then she eats it.
Juli: Way to kill the baby
Todd: The whole "talking to a baby so I can better understand what I actually think" thing is kind of a painful cliche.
It's a lazy writer's way of expressing an internal monologue.
Juli: At least the baby can't tell on you
Todd: Are you sure? I think Judith is like 13.
Something bad will almost happen!
"Sure, I'll move the car, even though I have no reason to think the keys will be in it, or that it will even run any more."
Hahaha
Dude, you have an axe. Chop him in the damn head.
Juli: While you kill everything else
Todd: I guess he has a helmet.
Oh, neutral, right.
Juli: Oh man he didn't kill anything but one and
Chuck
Todd: "Hey, I just killed all of em and then came to help."
Juli: Rick
Fuck
Todd: Oh, sure, the zombie with the machien gun only fired when they were right there.
Haha, look at the comical, romantic banter they have.
Juli: That was a zombie shooting?
Wtf?
Todd: Yeah.
His trigger was being pressed against some bars or something while he walked. But only for those few seconds because reasons.
Um, whut?
Juli: Duck
Really
Todd: Wait, did he just fall off the ferris wheel?
Juli: Did
Todd: OH NO THEY"RE EATING THE DEER BUT WE'RE SUPPOESED TO THINK IT'S RICK
Juli: They're eating the dear
Feet
Deer
Todd: Deer feet?
Mmmm, deer feet.
You know, until this moment, I was like, "Well, it's not up to the last few episodes, but I guess it's not bad." But now it's, "Holy shit, that was terrible."
I think every episode with rick has to end with his hair being all sweaty and dangling in his eyes Contractually.
"Hey, sorry babe, I shouldn't have let you think I was dead.
"I thought it would be funny, but I totally read it wrong."
Talking about Glenn would have more of an impact if this scene wasn't so far removed from Glenn's death.
Juli: And this is where she spills it
Well dam
Todd: Your viewing is a few minutes ahead of now cuz I went to pee while my internet was down
Juli: I'm done. I don't know if it cut things of at the end. I'm sure it did. It stopped abruptly
Todd: So the chicks are planning to sniper negan?
Juli: Seems so
Todd: So which of these two are going to die by moving to early on negan?
Juli: Both, likely. Or at least htat's how they're planning it.
Todd: Mmm, maybe.
So, overall thoughts? I'm pretty meh.
Juli: I enjoyed it, actually.
Todd: Yeah?
Juli: I liked seeing a bit of actual relationship building. Cliche or not, it's good to be reminded that they are still people with people feelings and still want to do people romantic things, even awkwardly in the world they're in.
Todd: I can see that.
Though the whole rick falling off the ferris wheel thing was painfully bad
Juli: It got me for a sec.
Todd: Really?
Juli: It did
Todd: Wow.
Juli: momentarily.
Todd: lol
Juli: But then I don't question the process as much as you tend to. I like to just get swept in.
Then it clicks.
Todd: Fair enough.
Juli: DID HE? OH NO!!!! ... Oh .. wait ... deer
Todd: Glad you enjoyed it. I had fun chatting it up with you.
Juli: Me, too.
Todd: Even if you were frequently spoilering things by a few seconds.
