I’m pretty sure it’s canon that the Ares cabin constantly blasts rock music at random times. I think. Unless I made that up but either way I have a proposal. The Apollo cabin blasting Hozier songs. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

On the verge of Death, both Stede and Ed see each other manifesting as a mystical being and carrying a trident, but while "Blackbeard " carries it to inflict Pain (because Stede sees himself as deserving of a punishment for abandoning his family), Stede carries it as a sign of Protection (because Ed finally understands that someone is waiting for him, to love him and protect him).
(Or maybe I'm reaching too much? I just thought it was a curious parallel.)

So the guardians call Hal the Prodigal and Kyle the Torch Bearer.
Now that I'm thinking about it, these names really correspond to the characters well.
A Prodigal is prone to be a high-flying wild card that's born to burns in a hard-to-control way. A Torch Bearer is prone to be more grounded and quietly powerful, with great constitution and stamina to hold on. Yet both bear an association to light and positivity.
It's two different types of powerful described in two names. Feeling completely normal about this choice of words.

I'm currently working in a vineyard so I keep thinking about an AU where Obi-Wan is a winegrower and Anakin is a seasonal worker who works for Obi-Wan and comes back every year for the harvest, and they fall in love a little bit more each year even though harvest only lasts a week (they spend the rest of the year waiting for the next harvest just to see each other again)

Hi JWB! How are you doing? I was rewatching ipkknd and came across the episode where Khushi decides to leave after Arnav calls her his"biggest mistake " Had she left before he turned up do you think she would have gone home and confided in Bhuaji? Also, would Arnav have gone behind her immediately or waited till morning and do you think he would have got her back? Thanks
Hey there Anon!
I'm doing well :) Hope you're well too.
No she wouldn't. Khushi doesn't have anyone to confide to in general and she knows revealing her marriage (or the lack of it) would cause more issues in their families than any resolutions.
Also Khushi, inherently, never wants to bother anyone nor does she know how to share her problems. So there's no way she'd tell Buaji about her marital troubles and bother her old aunt.
Of course Arnav would straight up march and get her home. And they'd have a big fight. And he would've told the 14 days left to her in the Gupta house and blackmailed her to get back with him.
However,
I think it would've been a super interesting track if he blackmailed her at Gupta House and Buaji overheard it. It would give Buaji the chance to shine as a completely positive character who'd get protective of Khushi and a solid redemption track to Arnav - but I guess it was too much drama and the audience was perhaps getting tired of the constant struggles and they needed comedy.
Which, again, in my opinion could've played for immense comedy. Cause when Buaji is stern with Arnav - it's hilarious to watch! Just imagine after a heartbreaking argument and Buaji banishing Arnav from Gupta House - Arnav resolves to get Khushi back (and earn Buaji's good graces) but it's impossible with Madhumati.
Arnav brings gifts - she throws them on his face (and he probably falls on gobar on that process).
Arnav tries to apologize to Khushi but of course he has a hesitation saying anything beyond the soft 'sorry' and Buaji butting in with - WHY ARE YOU SORRY? WHAT DO YOU THINK MY NIECE WILL BE OK WITH ONE WORD? WHERE IS THE REST OF YOUR APOLOGY? SAY IT LOUDER!
And everytime they accidentally Rabba Ve, Buaji would butt in.
It would be hilarious because at one point even Khushi would forgive Arnav but Buaji wouldn't until Arnav has genuinely mellowed down;
Buaji: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU NEVER MARRIED HER?"
Arnav: "No, that's not true. She's my legally married wife."
Buaji: "HAYE RE NANDKISORE THEN YOU WERE LYING TO HER?"
Arnav: ...
Khushi: "You lied to me???"
Imagine Buaji and Khushi teaming up and slamming the door on a flabbergasted Arnav's face. And of course you'd pace the comedy with some genuinely tender moments where Arnav actually apologies, Buaji apologises to Khushi for forcing her with Shyam and denouncing her on the day of the elopement and Khushi apologises to Arnav for hiding about Shyam (most likely Buaji will).
It wouldn't be your classic redemption track but it would have the heavy rom-com tropes and Buaji+Arnav is my favorite comedic duo tbh and the only one who isn't intimidated a bit by Arnav.
But yes, that's my lengthy answer that went into more of a 'what if' category, lol.
Best,
JWB

So, Transformers x Pacific Rim crossover adjacent idea but kaijus start popping up and it's like the ultimate time for cybertronians and humans to reunite to defend their homes.
Idk if the Jaegars should be directly based on cybertronian tech, or if the cybertronians (probably autobots if baseline, perhaps an interfaction team up, or hell if we're working with shattered glass maybe the SG decepticons) revealed themselves soon enough after that it's a bit of a shock.
I do feel like the differences between the human piloted Jaegars and cybertronians would become part of the fighting style with the comparatively smaller transformers pulling AOT type moves with the Jaegars being the heavy hitters.

As much as I am not the biggest fan of the "oh it's the ancients, they've always been there. They're more ancient than the echidna's an Babylonians and actually chaos emeralds are theirs. Also they're all waterblob people so Chaos, who for 20 years has regarded as a divine creature, is now just one dude of many" thing Frontiers got going on (might be wrong, haven't scrapped with the final titan yet), what I do like is how they make Chaos more interesting visually retroactively, not through adding something new, but by giving meaning to the absence of something. It looks like the ancients, but has no koco core, it's a mutated image of an ancient but lacking something very fundamental. Maybe that's why it needs external influence to help contain it's rage

I finally watched the new episode of La Pluie, and I have a theory I wanted to share. What if the soulmates connection is more changable then initially presented. Like what if we are going to find out that you can stop hearing your soulmate voice if you stop loving them, and maybe we'll find out that Lomfon could not hear anything for a while, and just now started to hear Tai's voice because he believes him to be his soulmate, aka the owner of the keychain?
Definitely could be!
Now, the original part of this did involve not hearing your soulmate's voice until you're twenty and this might also be the first shared rain since Lomfon turned twenty.
But it's also clear that he hasn't had the hearing loss disease before (because he could still hear Tien in the rain when they were walking before he started to hear Patts and Tai) and that brings even more questions to hand that I don't know how to answer.
I do suspect that this is about the hearing loss disease being less specific and connected than we've been lead to believe and that there are more variants in how it occurs and what it means as well. Because this show is deconstructing what soulmates mean and what love means and what fate and destiny and choice are in a world where it can seem like only one of those can be true.
The only thing I think about with this is that none of them start out loving their soulmate. That original connection comes from somewhere and whether that can also be vibes or wavelength or fate or just the way the rain sounds... but something has to start this. The question of it changing is an intriguing one.
I lean towards this Lomfon's first experience with the hearing loss disease entirely and that being a question about what love and expectations means.
I also just want to add how it's truly fascinating that the one person who has the most faith in soulmates (Tien) doesn't have one. Lomfon doesn't believe in that idea at all, Tai's been doubting and scared for years, Patts mostly faced it as a way to stop being lonely... but Tien, Tien, who doesn't have a soulmate and has just started to recognize his feelings for Lomfon thanks to Tai... he believes. He absolutely believes.
And yet he is left out. He is the only one now who can still hear in the rain, who's still on the outside, who doesn't know another person in the privacy of the rain.
ANYWAY.
Yeah, I'm still waiting to see what this addition of Lomfon means. It feels so layered, especially with it happening specifically after Tai and Patts confirmed that they were each other's choices and not just soulmates. It's honestly a fascinating choice but it also makes me wonder about the world building and what of it we will start seeing.

Me: [creating oc versions of angels for a story]
Also me: Make 'em like dinosaurs.
Me:...
Also me: They got the birdlike legs and kinda got the fuzziness except it's holy fire. Raptors, they're basically raptors!
Me: ...
Also me: They look more Mesozoic when they're going all full angel mode, so when it's demons and angels fighting it looks like something out of Jurassic Park.
Me: ...
Also me: If you think about it, that would make the entire Mesozoic God's rough draft period.

A new au!! Got it in my head for a new period piece au along the lines of The Mummy and Indiana Jones.
Set in a different version of Halcyon where people have been living there for centuries and currently in a 1920s vibe, Phineas is in search of something from when people first settled in Halcyon. He decides to hire a crew to help him find this mysterious item.
The first he hires is Max, a professor with a history of hunting for lost relics. Max at first is stubborn, having his own specific item he is looking for. But Phineas convinces him by implying that this excursion might get him closer to what he is looking for so he begrudgingly agrees to go.
Felix happens to be a student in the wrong place wrong time, and gets to join the excursion. He proves himself to be very handy when it comes to fighting and surviving against all odds.
Nyoka with her background in the military and a need to get away. But soon enough this excursion proves to be more for her proving something than she is willing to let on. Finding this relic is more important than others can imagine.
Ellie helps sponsor the excursion but with the catch that she has to go along. At first Phineas is hesitant because of her lack of experience in the field, but decides to let her come along. The money she offers does help.
Parvati ends up joining when she receives a letter for her dad to serve as the mechanic on this excursion. With her father having recently passed and money being tight, Parvati answers that she will go. Phineas doesn’t have any issue with Parvati coming along, especially after he realizes why she wants to go.
Then there’s Rhea. She’s a student of Phineas who has been sponsoring her at the skill. She has a bright mind but not one for adventure. Phineas wants her to go to keep an eye on the others, make sure they don’t try to get away with anything and to get her to use her mind out in the field, not be stuck in a lab.
They six of them head off in search of this mysterious item far out in the wilds!

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)
At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.
Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.
