Although nobody knows of her exact origin, Juno is one of the three original Roman gods — Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva.

Early representations of Juno vary, but Roman literature does pretty much regard her as the Queen of Heaven. She was worshipped in the East as the goddess of both love and war, and often closely identified with Astarte, the patron goddess of Carthage. In the West, we'd find two distinct characterizations of her in different places: the lawless war goddess Juno Moneta (Juno Sospita if you’re Lanuvian), deity of soldiers and spears, of warning, advising, instructing — and the Juno of the Capitol, patroness of women, of marriage, of love, and female life (some known surnames are Pronuba, Matrona, Juga, Lucina, Opigena).

ive gushed about it since months ago (darkon’s saga from free to play mmo ‘adventure quest worlds’) but i really cant get enough of how distinct the aesthetics and music and symbolism of the arc are .. i love that its so full of incomprehensible grotesque eldritch entities and for several installations this is what is set up to be the disturbing part, but the real horror as far as the tragic backstory stemmed not from that cosmic horror as you might expect -- the divines given dialogue turn out to actually be pretty sympathetic toward the plight of the leading characters, it seems -- but from mortal human people and their intolerance and their hatred for people who are not like them or are ‘outsiders’ to what they understand...

3- Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year?

it's Queen, and okay yes everyone knows queen, but i feel like this year i actually listened and particularly appreciated them more. i have the LP of a night at the opera and every single song on that album is imprinted in my soul it's sooooo good. i got another queen record recently so >:)))) i plan to one day get them all, or at least all the ones i like (which is probably gonna be all of them anyways lol)

20- what's something you learned this year?

someone told me this a few years ago, but this year especially is when it really sunk in for me: if you think you're really good at something (like in a hubris-y way specifically), you're not as good as you think you are, and if you think you're really bad at something, you're not as bad as you think you are. 

i also learned from antigone funn and bijou from wooden overcoats that "you're out there, being you, in front of other people!" "that matters to you?" that matters. your heroes may seem perfect and graceful and put together, but they're people just like you and just like you, they get nervous and have their own insecurities. you are your own worse critic, and that also applies to the "best of the best" too. and here's the thing, no matter how good or bad ANYONE thinks they are at their craft, it matters to somebody out there. maybe it's just you, and maybe it's someone in a crowd you'll never meet, or maybe it's someone long long after you're dead. but what we do matters.
