I totally get that MC has been denied opportunities and sheltered so they start out on the back foot. But to be honest I’m not interested in playing as someone whose background is only used as a simple pass/fail and will give no flavor text. To be blunt I don’t want to perpetually play as the most useless person in the room. I think it’s a cool concept to have others actions/reputations hang over the MC, but I don’t want my MCs actions to have no consequence. Even if it’s just a MC who was super friendly to everyone and the party privately feeling frustrated when a noble is cold to them or being eh if they are more aloof. I’m not trying to say that eldest kids or middle children aren’t successful; anyone can be successful if they have the willpower and luck.

You come across as a little combative in this ask, at least in my point of view, so forgive me if that is not the case, but it will colour the tone of my response.
If this is your way of telling me your expectations of the game, then I do not appreciate your phrasing and the tone of writing in doing so. In the future, I would prefer something more gentler or polite. Had not included your last line about being triggered and perhaps are acting emotionally, I would have deleted and ignored it completely. You are allowed to be honest and blunt, I welcome it, but your writing prose in this instance makes you sound aggressive, rude and accusatory and I do not like that.
Now onto what I think are your concerns:
The whole point of the game is that main character's agency allows for the change in the Empire. The MC's choices are important and they are game changing and consequential. I promised that on the game's very first post. I would not have made it an IF if that were not the case. It would take less effort to write a book.
There is no doubt that younger siblings can be successful. If I did not believe that, then I would not have made the MC the youngest child who can ascend the throne despite all the cards stacked against them.
In the original ask that I was responding too was in regards to any established preconceptions of the MC as of Chapter 1. I never said that being the youngest meant they could not rise above their siblings. I decided that considering the circumstances of their station or birth and past family history, there are preconceptions about the MC that will eclipse who the MC actually is as a person. And that preconception colours the MC's reputation to the rest of the world.
Birth order does not beget success. But using your example above, I can also say that some of those people are successful because of the efforts/privileges of the people that came before them. That they were born in better socio-economic circumstances than others, that their parents made the right connections/knew the right people, that they were born into the right family, the right coloured race, so on and so forth. Some of it might be true, some of it might not. But that doesn't matter if I believe it's true. It's a preconception that I have.
This is what I am talking about when I mean there are preconceptions are being held against the MC no matter what they do.
This is only Chapter 1. Everything has to start somewhere and I made the informed decision to have all MC(s) start on this controlled platform because when there are too many variables in place, things become out of hand. This story is already too complex with multiple layers of nuances that must be juggled.
If you want your MC to be independent and ascend the throne. That is a choice that I allow players to make. There will be consequences. There will always be consequences. I will punish you for being cruel. I will punish you for being kind. You cannot make everyone happy. You can only do what you think is right. You can be as selfish or selfless as you want.
But I will say this as a warning: If my response to that original ask triggered you, then you will not enjoy the beginning of Chapter 1. Prior to drafting this response, I had just finished writing a group of scenes involving a character that is more of asshole than Eirik. He will humiliate you and look down on you for things out of your control and you will not be able to respond properly because he will be right.

Hey big fan. How tall do you think the androids in DL are?
Not gonna lie, it's always a bit shocking to hear one has made anything to earn a 'big fan', but thank you very much nonetheless!
As for your actual question, though, I think they're roughly about human height, judging by art? Of course I've gone over how art sometimes varied wildly in height, but as mentioned in that post if you have seen that, Dragalia did seem to try and keep a 'comparison heights' straight, at least. They might not have kept straight if Euden was 4'11 or 5'9 but he was shorter than Ranzal and Luca, etc.
And what we see in the wyrmprints, they seem consistently human in size:
(Well, these are both with sylvans, but sylvans are human in height as well, ears notwithstanding, so the point stands).
As funny as it might have been if every android was big or really tiny, I think it probably makes sense that, being created and wished for them to be 'humans' by Maestro, they resemble humanity as much as possible.
Now, just because Laxi, Mascula, and the androids from their era are human sized, others might not be.
They're a recreation of the older models in another case of Dragalia's humans trying to resurrect older tech, the same tech that made the dragons Very Displeased 1k years ago.
Now, Eireene and Finni, who unfortunately have among my personal least favorite designs in Dragalia, don't really give any indication either of being a wildly different size than Laxi or Mascula. Like this art here, where they are about the same size as Laxi and in a similar 'dwarfed by Ranzal' category most everyone falls into to varying degrees.
That doesn't mean there aren't standouts.
Anassa, for example, seems to carry a much bigger presence in her art. Being something of a commander and command center for the 1k year old model androids, it stands to reason she might have more weapons built in, more data processors, or other things in greater quantity. While we don't have a model or comparative art to truly say for certain that she is bigger, she certainly looks it.
(Does she even have legs??? Is she a roomba that would be foiled by anything over a 15° incline or a sudden height change, ex, stairs??? I mean yeah, doesn't she fly and drop down the one time, but even then, there's any number of environments that might make it awkward or impossible to use it to navigate a hazard.)
Ahem. Anyways, the point is that the general androids, be it Maestro's recreations or their elder Nier:Dragalia -er, Ex Machina, a part of the Humanoid Liberation Agency/the ones living in the sky, seem to be human sized. But there might be a few special model ones out there like Anassa who serve a unique and important purpose to justify the time, energy, and resources designing and creating them to fulfill their goal.
Now, admittedly, androids in Dragalia would be a weak point in my general knowledge since they never really quite struck a chord with me enough to inspire a fixation on them, but yeah, as far as I can tell, they're human-sized with perhaps some rare exceptions. The most I can say that might not be wholly normal is their apparent tendency towards a sort of gaunt build, which, to be fair, it's not exactly as if they can build muscle to change that.

3. have they died before?
as it currently stands, spencer's dead dead yeah and not coming back, lucian is also dead (stuck as undead in his main timeline and while he might've suffered a less terrible death in other ones he still is probably dead in those). in aurelio's case they tried to execute him but it didn't work so i don't know if that counts as a death technically? don't know if he's completely immortal either but he survived the execution so that's gotta count for something lmaoo?
6. what's their greatest fear?
aurelio's is loneliness and i think lucian's would be death; at the moment i can't think of one for spencer but? i suppose fearing consequences would be very fitting for him.
14&15. are they trans? / are they neurodivergent?

20. will they recover from their trauma or will it consume them?
i actually think, given enough time after the main story events, aurelio might, eventually. but the whole point of spencer & lucian's storylines is that, no they dont lol: i'd say their stories focus on the effects of not allowing yourself to move on from your trauma and fixating on it to the dangerous point of destroying everything around you and yourself (ESPECIALLY in lucian's). there is the small chance that maybe in one alternate timeline lucian does actually somewhat recover in some part, but for his main timeline nah

I am here to ask for your kamado character rant… i love him too. Id love to hear ur thoughts on him
HELL yeah. let's go.
Okay I have a lot of opinions on his character but real quick I wanna appreciate his clothes. They're SO good. The ultimate visual reprisentation of his status and his history. Firstly: I love that his kimono (very much a Johto related item of clothing in the pokemon world) is embroidered, something that is clearly associated with Hisui. It's very neat visual shorthand for his two homes. Also, the all black fabric is a HUGE status symbol. True black dye used to be super hard to come by, and so having a whole outfit dyed that way?? Its one hell of a flex. Also it just looks cool. And its a pretty subtle mirror colour wise to Giratina. Like sure. Black, yellow, and Red, but its not super obvious like Volo's outfit. I think that's neat!
Okay. His character. I find him fascinating, and it's really sad to me that people just kind of disregard him because of the banishment. Yes, that was a poor fucking choice, but that doesn't mean he isnt an interesting complex character. In fact, quite to the contrary! It is one of the most important and interesting decisions he makes! Dislike him for it all you like, but I do think its the only decision he could've made in that situation, character wise.
So. Kamado lived happily in Johto. He had wife. Then crazed pokemon attack his village, and he watches everyone he's known die, apart from Beni. That's gonna fuck a guy up, and it does, its why he distrusts pokemon so acutley. Eventually, after travelling with Beni, he goes and establishes The Galaxy Team, and Jubilife. Now he is in charge of a village. The saftey of everyone is in his hands. And then the sky breaks in half, and pokemon start to become crazed.
Where's he seen this before?
Leading so many people is already a huge weight on his shoulders, and now there is a potentially world ending crisis going on. And your player character appears out of nowhere the very same night that the Noble pokemon the clans revere get struck from above and become frenzied. Your arrival appears to be the inciting event (and if Giratina is behind the frenzies then he may well be right, even if your character didn't summon the lightening.) You go and you fix it but then the sky turns red anyway. And there's only one person who he has associated with the frenzies and the rift amongst his ranks.
Kamado, I think, is scared. He has the lives of all of Jubilife on his shoulders, and he desperatley doesn't want whatever happened in Johto to happen again. A guy can only move on from watching a whole village levelled once, and this time it would be his fault. He needs to do something to protect his people, but this is so much bigger than him. Quite literally what else could he do? So he makes a desperate decision that I'm pretty sure not even he fully believed in. But again he had to do something and he was afraid for the village and the saftey he's created to be destroyed again. The world was literally ending!! He didn't do it to be mean to the player character! He did it because he thought he had to. Who's gonna make only correct and rational decisions while time and space are about to collapse in on themselves? Definitley not the traumatised guy who is completley committed to protecting his people.
Like yeah, it was the wrong decision. It was a bad thing to do! But in character, really, could or would he have done anything else? Does him being unpleasent to the player character make him uninteresting? There is so much to think about with him!! And he's just sidelined because people don't personally like him all that much!! Give this old man DEPTH I'm BEGGING YOU.
OH YEAH. WHY DOES NO ONE UTILISE HIS GIRATINA SYMBOLISM. THERE'S SO MUCH THAT YOU COULD DO WITH THAT. SURE, VOLO BATTLES WITH IT, BUT IN TERMS OF MAJOR CHARACTERS VOLO IS TRYING TO INVOKE ARCEUS. (and, plot wise, failing) Where's my fic about Kamado striking up a deal with Giratina or being involved in lengendary bullshit at all (the answer is that its sitting on my unfinished fic pile but. that's besides the point. it's an underutilised avenue! You could do cool shit with that!!)

#this sentence is so funny to me rn im giggling#anyway#thinking about how i’ve met so many wonderful people in college in just this past semester#like. i’ve one of my bestest friends who is one of the people im going to be living with next year along with two of my other#bestest besties who i went to hs with but absolutely adore. i love all three of them so much#and then there’s a whole group of wonderful people from a club that i joined that i’ve been so thankful to call each one of them my friends#when i genuinely went into that not knowing if they would end up not liking me because i was sick during the retreat and couldn’t initially#meet them or anyone else from the upper committees#and then i unexpectedly became the best of friends with a ta from one of my classes and i love her she’s so great#not to mention all of the other wonderful people ive met randomly and dont see that much but appreciate nonetheless#im so excited to meet even more people next school year when i start joining new clubs#whenever i get asked ‘whats one thing you want to do while youre here’ and i always answer meet new people#i absolutely love and adore meeting new people and the college i go to has more than delivered that#it’s genuinely so welcoming to be here and it feels like the home i haven’t felt for the past year and a half#i truly don’t think i would’ve connected very well with people at any other college than i have this one#like obviously i would’ve adjusted and odds are i would have been fine but i really do just love it here#the people and thr atmosphere and the campus and everything makes it so worth it#post about loving my friends turn post about loving my college#brought to you by a BeReal one of my bestest besties posted with the caption#‘missing our fourth piece’ aka me because i am currently not back at my college yet and thus am not with them#when i tell y’all i started sobbing my eyes out upon reading that#anyway. i am getting too emotional for 3am and i think this is just a jumble of thoughts and words#so i am going to bed (hopefully)#lacey talks
