Ooooh anon can we start this one with a little fun fact about me?? I have CU as well (It was kinda a gateway for getting into BTS for me. Watching V's admission to having the condition was my first interaction with the group.)

So this is a really interesting prompt to imagine because I've been here. But I'm about it and willing to spread CU awareness. to follow up on what you read, yes! For me, in addition to the itchiness and the rash, I get nauseous. Not enough to throw up, just enough to be uncomfortable. I don't get headaches, though. But I'm sure some people do. And the fever itself wouldn't necessarily cause a CU flare up. But the sweat! It's all about the sweat.

LOL that's enough background. Let's get into this lovely prompt!

Imagine:

So Taes got a stress fever from overworking himself. No other symptoms at all, just a high high fever. Maybe he's a little delusional and slurred in the morning and that's how the other members find out about his fever. So they make him a bed on the sofa so he can stay close to the members because he wants their attention. Hobi packs him up in two extra blankets because Tae keeps saying he's cold and Hobi just can't say no to him when he's all sick and sad like that. But the blankets add to his heat and he starts sweating everywhere. He's squirming under the blankets because his CU is starting to flare up. He starts feeling itchy everywhere. But Hobi's got him tucked so tight he can't get his hands free. Then Jimin and Joon come in to find that Tae's practically baking alive. There's a whispered argument between the three about the best way to take care of Tae. Tae still winces and scunches his nose and whimpers when the whispers get too loud. Jimin removes all the blankets and now Tae's hands are free to scratch. So he does, from his neck all the way down to his ankles, because his body is covered in his own sweat. But when he scratches around his stomach, it gurgles loudly and angrily. Tae tries to burp it out. Some of the burps are punctuated with little gags. Hobi, Jimin, and Joon are all a little concerned at the noise. But Tae's not. Nausea is part of the package. And he knows he's not going to throw up from it. He just feels unwell for an hour or so and then it goes away. Nothing to really worry about. Unless he tries to eat something. But the other members are still concerned. Tae's still scratching harshly against his skin. It's leaving small red scars in addition to his red hives patches. Jimin grabs his hands and gently reminds him not to scratch. That just makes them more irritated. Tae pouts and whines but he knows Jimin's right. Jimin's been helping Tae with his CU for years now. He knows all the tricks to help Tae. So he runs a cold bath for Tae. Tae complains about the cold water because he's already cold from the fever. But it does help reduce the itchy hives covering his body. Tae puts on loose clothing that's not soaked through with sweat and gets back on the couch. Tae's episodes usually last upwards of an hour to an hour and a half. So Jimin massages Tae's more prominent patches with a soothing lotion until they fade away, using just the right amount of pressure to soothe the itch. Meanwhile, Hobi goes back to nursing the fever, this time with fever patches and damp rags, making sure de hoesn't sweat too much. And Joon's rubbing Tae's stomach to work out the nausea from plaguing his stomach. Tae loves the way his three hyungs dote over him. He thinks in his fevered mind that this is what royalty feels like.

Okay but can you imagine NamHopeMin treating Tae like a king when he's sick. I love this idea of Tae being pampered by the members. And Jimin giving him full body massages so he doesn't scratch. Maybe Tae has a special lotion he likes to use when he flares up.

Or imagine: Maybe Tae gets so delusional from fever he doesn't realize it's his CU and he thinks bugs are crawling on him, nipping his skin, so he freaks out and the members have to calm him down and soothe him through the whole episode.

🐿: Taehyungie sent me lots of messages during the promotion. No matter where he is, he sends songs he is listening to & even videos.

Even when I was about to perform on Lollapalooza, he asked “Hyung, when are you going to perform?”.

I told him “I think it’s on August 1 11 am KST”.

He said he won’t be sleeping until 11 am so he can watch it. I realized he was sincerely rooting for me and I’m very thankful for that.”
