this is from the ship requests over on twitter, as i take a short break from drawing the hunting dogs. i genuinely had fun with this and it was a breath of fresh air i definitely needed for the sake of my art journey.

☆ How could we ever just be friends?

Dazai Osamu x Fem!reader. SFW. Fluff / Dazai Osamu is your co-worker at the agency and for a while, you two have been flirting jokingly until one day he appears at your doorstep in the pouring rain at night confessing his feelings for you. I genuinely do not have a reason for writing this I just miss dazai :(

Dazai felt his legs shiver with the cold as he waited for you to open the door. His heart was racing with anticipation as he wondered what your answer would be. He wished you would open the door so he could finally settle this. The rain kept pouring down and his clothes were completely soaked, but Dazai didn't care about the cold or the fact that he was wet. His only thought was to confess his feelings to you and hope for the best. He stood there in the pouring rain, waiting to see if you'd open the door. Dazai and you had been flirtatious co-workers for a while now. You were regularly teasing and flirting with each other and it had gotten to the point where it was hard to tell if it was just playful banter or genuine feelings. Even Ranpo, the greatest detective, could not figure it out. The two of you would often joke around and flirt during work hours, but there was always an underlying tension between you and Dazai that made it clear your flirting wasn't purely platonic. Your constant banter made your coworkers wonder if there was something more to your relationship.

As the rain continued to pour down, Dazai's shivering got worse. His eyes were locked on the door just waiting for it to open. His hands were shoved deeply into his pockets to try and keep them from getting too cold. He had been standing there for quite a while now with no end in sight. He started to feel more and more irritable as the minutes kept passing with no sign of you opening the door. You were surprised to see Dazai soaked by the rain and standing outside your door. You hadn't even heard him ring the doorbell due to the rain pouring down heavily. Looking at him, You felt bad for making him stand out there for so long. You hurried and opened the door, looking out at him with concern and frustration in your expression.

"Hey, what are you doing out here? You're absolutely drenched," You seemed to be concerned as you looked him over. You could see the water dripping off his clothes as he stood there, shivering from the cold rain. "I had to... I need..." Dazai spoke through chapped, cracked lips. He was so cold he could barely get the words out. His speech was slurred from a mixture of the cold and his shivering. He felt the rain dripping off his clothes as he stood there, his hair stuck to his head and clinging to his face. "You need what?" You said, a look of concern and confusion washing over your face as you glanced at him. You could tell that he was not in the best of conditions. The rain was clearly not only soaking him through but affecting him, so she wanted to know what it was that he needed at such an hour.

"Would you like to come in?" You finally asked your frustration over the situation turning into concern as you saw the effect that the cold was having on him. In contrast, you were wearing a warm pajama set and felt quite snug while he was shivering in the wet rain clothes. "Y-yeah," Dazai replied, grateful at the offer to come inside. As he stood there, another shiver ran through his body and he started to shake more. The raindrops kept running down his cheeks and his face was red from both the cold and embarrassment. You immediately moved out of the way to let him in, holding the door open as you moved aside. You could see how drenched from the rain he was and how shivering and cold he was. Your concern for him grew as you noticed it. You were surprised though that he had ventured out in this kind of weather to come see you. "Could I... um.. can we... uh..." Dazai sputtered as he tried to get his words out, he could hardly keep himself from coughing as he spoke. You could tell that he was really trying to get this out, but he seemed to be struggling so she let him take his time.

"Let's sit down." You suggested, not wanting him to continue to stand there while he was so cold. You led him to your couch and he sat down, his body shaking due to the cold. You sat down beside him and you could feel his shivering continue as he sat there. "What's wrong?" you spoke softly.

"There's just… something that I've wanted to tell you for quite some time now…" Dazai finally spoke, his voice was still soft and quiet. He looked over at you and you could see that his eyes were slightly red and watery from the cold. "Oh? What is it?" You asked him, your tone was soft and you hoped he would continue to speak. You were curious to know what he wanted to tell you, especially since he seemed so troubled. You looked into his eyes and saw the red and watery look, knowing how cold he was. "Well… I know we've been… flirting for a bit now," Dazai stated quietly, now looking away as if he was ashamed to admit how long it had been going on between the two of you. "But… that flirting was just masking something else. It was… hiding how I genuinely feel about you…" Dazai looked up at you again, his eyes locked on yours. "And I hope that after I say this, you'll realize how much I really mean what I'm saying." You couldn't resist the urge to cut off his rambling, leaning in and quickly pressing your lips to his before holding the kiss for a moment, his words forgotten as he kissed you back passionately. Dazai was stunned and surprised but his surprise was quickly replaced with acceptance and he kissed back, matching your passion and intensity. A brief moment of silence passed as you two continued to look at each other. You were breathless from the kiss and Dazai was no different. You felt your heart beating quickly, and your body trembling slightly from excitement. Dazai looked at you softly as he brushed your hair away from your face. He smiled at you fondly before resting his head against yours. You were excited, excited for your future with your new boyfriend.

Chuuya was walking around Yokohama one day to see you playing with some kids

He often uses his ability to entertain kids on the street

So too see some one else doing it brought a smile to his face

He walked close to see who it was

IMAGINE HIS SHOCK WHEN IT WAS AN ADA MEMBER

“WOW Mr. Fancy hats back!!”

You turn around to see Chuuya an executive at the port Mafia

You would go into a defensive pose ready to strike if needed

“ Calm down doll, no need to fight” he would sit down next to you and also entertain the kids

About an hour had passed and it was getting dark

The kids ran off to their houses and you where left alone with chuuya

“ I guess you aren’t as big of a tough guy as I thought Mr. fancy hat”

“You aren’t to shitty your self”

You ended up exchanging numbers because hey you can be friends

Once a week you both would meet up and have a few drinks together and you both honestly got along amazingly

After a few times drinking with Chuuya you realized you had fallen for him

THIS WAS BAD like being friends with him was bad but having a crush on him was BAD

Both of your guys jobs where important to neither of you would want to lose it

But if any one found out you would certainly lose your job

Lets be real Kunikida would kill you

BUT it may be a curse or a blessing but our beloved Dazai found out

Instead of threatening to tell the others he chose to help you

There was two reasons why Dazai was willing to help

1. you where is friend???

2. his main reason more ways to bully Chuuya

SO Dazai came up with a plan to get you guys together

He joined you on one of your outings with Chuuya but he stayed back making sure Chuuya wouldn't see him

He observed the way Chuuya acted around you and thats when he knew his little dog from the port mafia was in love

When you had left the table you and Chuuya where at to get more drinks

Dazai new it was his chance

He went up to Chuuya "Ya know Chuuya, if you don't go for them quick some one else will come and take them for themselves"

A 'slightly' drunk Chuuya death glared Dazai

"Perfect time S/o! Ta Ta Chuuya"

The next day Chuuya called you over to his pent house apartment

when you arrived he quickly invited you in and Threw roses into your hands

"I- UM- TAKE THEM-"

he took one deep breath and just blurted out "I like you"

YOU OFC SAID YES

TIME SKIP

So dating a some one in the port mafia while being in the ADA is hard but you both make a lot of time for each other

The only time your relationship is really threatened is during the cannibalism arc because you both had to fight for your bosses to live

I think when the other ADA members found out

they would hype you up!

This last chapter really shows just how one-sided Fyolai was, Fyodor only saw Gogol as a tool for his own gain, and Gogol knew that.

Look at Gogol's expression, the resigned sorrow as he accepts that he never reached Fyodors heart the way Fyodor reached his.

Look at their different reactions to seeing eachother, Gogol is extatic to see Fyodor and puts on a huge display for him, both his love for him as his "true friend" and his desire to kill him. But Fyodor seems completely uninterested in either, honestly he looks like he just wishes Gogol would leave him alone.

He says nothing to Gogol explaining his motivation and keeps that bored expression as if Gogols philosophical struggle could not be less interesting to him. Heck even Dazai shows more interest then Fyodor does.

In fact, the only thing that makes Fyodor show any interest in what Gogol is doing is when it gives him a chance to kill Dazai, he only sees value in Gogol when he has some strategic benefit for him.

Fyodor is entirely focused on Dazai throughout the whole discussion, he pretty much ignores Gogol entirely, only focusing on how he can use this opportunity to eliminate his biggest threat.

Gogol's care for Fyodor is obvious, he says multiple times that Fyodor is the only one who ever understood him, but he never once implies that he thinks Fyodor cares about him, only that he understood him. He knows Fyodor doesn't share his feelings, and since Gogol surrounds himself with what causes him the most pain I'm sure that this only made him more attached to Fyodor.

Anyway this post was mostly just meant to outline how Fyodor and Gogol feel about eachother in cannon, I think with this latest chapter we can definitively say Fyodor never cared for Gogol as a person, making Gogols tragedy even deeper

i often think about the fact that tecchou puts sugar on his rice.

like, this guy likes it when food combos are the same color, right? rice white, sugar white, boom. sugar rice. i get it but does he not realize that... salt is also white?

why doesn't he pick salt over sugar when it comes to his rice? what's wrong with it? is it not the correct shade of white or something?

either it's that and we simply do not possess his optical abilities, or he does it specifically to annoy jouno lmao. like, either works for him just fine, but just watching jouno going absolute bonkers over him pouring a little sugar on his rice makes him giggle inside
