Warrior cats bsd au!!!

The elders of the 'clans' were nonexistent.

At least, that was the case for the ada clan.

Instead, the stories were told by the warriors, the youngest members of the clan eagerly listening, tail kicking up dust with every excited flick.

"Long ago, back before the city had fallen into disrepair the way it had, there had been groups of cats, much like them, who lived in clans.

The names of the clans are up for debate, muddled through years of oral storytelling and translations, but the premise still stands.

There was the thunder clan, the river clan, the wind clan, and the shadow clan.

After years of war, they had learned to live in harmony, until they were driven from the forest they lived in.

Now, years later, that cats of the city were disorganised, different groups arranging in different ways.

Until Natume came along, educating two young kits that he found on the clans and their mythology, of the great leaders and warriors and the balance that should be upheld.

Both of the kits got involved in the dark space of the streets, back alleys and abandoned buildings, very few places left for stray cats such as them to harbour safely.

While one of the kits grew up and clawed his way out of the darkness, the other resigned himself to the shadow, involving himself in the dirty underworld of the city, doing whatever he deemed necessary to gain the power he wished for.

When the one who returned the light, or more accurately, the grey, he met a young kit, who had amazing talents that made him remember Natsume's teachings, and he built his own clan, an agency, designed to help keep harmony across the city, and keep the balance the way the great clans did in the old days.

The one who went to the dark rose in the underworld quickly, with the same knowledge as the one in the light, and he usurped the position of the boss of the cat mafia, leading with the same principle. Keep the balance. By whatever means necessary.

When the, now fully grown, cats fell out over the mistreatment of a kit under the dark one's care, they both retreated, and the two clans have been at odds ever since."

The tail flicking in the dirt was practically vibrating now, as the young orange cat seemed extremely enthusiastic to hear the story, despite the amount of times it had been told before.

"Wow Dazai! You're a great storyteller!" Kenji said happily.

The white cat with a single black ear next to Kenji seemed dubious.

"Was that really true?" He asked, tilting his head.

Dazai nodded.

"Yes, Atsushi. It truly is. I cannot attest as to the validity of the mythology, whether the clans were real, or whether what they believed and followed was right, but that story I told you was real. And you'll learn that very quickly here."

Maiden's Bookshelf

KODANSHA released a series of short stories called Maiden’s Bookshelf. For fans of both BSD & BTA, this is a good collection as each story illustrated by different artist.

A beautiful book that can be enjoyed both as a short story and an artbook. The first in a series combining gorgeous contemporary artwork with literary classics of the early 20th century, bringing classic Japanese literature to a new audience.

As of now, it only published two books as they just started this year. The next one will publish in May.

I'm hoping that this person Fyodor mentioned in the last episode that challenged him once is someone who can give Dazai a run for his money and put him into a real situation where he doesn’t have all the answers. At this point, I'm starting to worry that's never going to happen.

I don’t remember if Fyodor mentioned the gender of the person when he made his comment, but if he didn’t then I’m gonna hope it’s Agatha Christie.

We’ve already seen her— in fact in the manga she’s already interacted with Fyodor— and the only strategists we’ve seen so far have been guys. I’d kinda like a woman strategist (so long as she’s treated with the same respect the series gave to Dazai/Fyodor/Ranpo in regards to their strategies.)

Technically Louisa could count as a female strategist, but she never goes up against any other strategist, and the only “strategy” she does is tell Francis not to make stupid decisions and (iirc) telling Steinbeck and Lovecraft that Dazai would try to retrieve Q. Neither of which are strategies. It never even goes into how she reaches her conclusions— it basically chalks it up to “she thinks for a really long time until she knows stuff”.

Anyway. Although I personally have never read any of Christie’s works, she’s my cousin’s favorite author, which essentially makes her my blorbo-in-law. So I gotta root for her getting more content.

I lowkey both hate and love that the best thing I've ever written is a fanfic I wrote for my friend's birthday. She said she wanted a bsd figure skating au and that I could do whatever I wanted to and I went toxic ice dance!!! And I did have so much fun writing it, a lot less fun doing art and formatting it all and finding someone to actually print it out and bind it. But the story is a banger actually!

#it's so different in tone than the ice dance team i have in my original figure skating story #because they are wholesome #and these two are for a mental institution #horrible people to everyone around them and each other but would also die without each other so they have to make it work #i would even consider posting it on ao3 because i genuinely am proud of how it turned out #but i did have to genderbend just chuuya for it to work #and i don't really want to have my 'first' work in the bsd fandom be like that #and the target audience for the actual bsd fic i've been working on for a long time is me and 5 people more and i do not want it online #sooo pattern of pain also gets to stay in word documents and on my friend's bookshelf

Over the weekend I purchased this book ‘Edgar Alan Poe The Complete Tales and Poems’. So far I have read a couple of poems. My current favorite poem is Tamberlane. I interpreted this poem as cold, melancholy, yet heartwarming. Poe has become one of my favorite authors since I was in High School. I remember reading The Black Cat during class. After reading it, I instantly fell in love with this literacy work. Since that day I have followed Poe’s work. Thankfully, I found a book with the full collection of Poe’s work. I am happy and prepared to be consumed by Poe’s tales and poems 📚

i have my 3 bsd books lined up next to each other as a reference to show how meaty stormbringer is.

i can convert the ratios between the page count of fifteen to stormbringer into a theoretical math equation to help study for midterms

It has come to my attention (a true shock, really) that most people here must be very confused about the current situation. "But Lav, who is this circus stranger you abandoned us to? boo boo come back" Well, Lav won't be able to respond to that since I am taking over her blog for now, but I can! Hi there! I'm Eliott, and I am housesitting this blog for a while. Some people here know me from my former (deleted) blog where I basically wrote some stories and managed an occasional bookclub. I left tumblr to find some peace (which I found), but chaos called and who am I to deny it, right?

This blog is my circus for now, consider me its resident poltergeist. You won't be able to reach Lav but as she instructed in her previous post, you can address me asks! I will not open any DM though.
