Post war!clegan but its housewife Gale and bread winner John

Gale who spends hours cleaning the house and baking constantly. He has a little stand he runs out in the lawn for kids to come up and get free treats while their playing outside, also having fresh lemonade made with it.

He feels the need to take care of the kids in their neighborhood because of how his dad was, making sure their house was safe for all of them

They both decorated the house but it was mostly gale, John has his man cave in the basement

Housewife Gale who leaves constant reminders around the house of John’s appointments coming up on sticky notes. “Dr app at 7am Monday! - love buck” “don’t forget your lunch in the fridge - love buck” “brief case is by the shoe rack. - love buck” he can’t help but fuss over his man.

Bread winner John who loves coming home to the smell of gales cookin, slipping his arms around his tapered waist from behind. John who has several framed photos of him and gale, always flashing his wedding band at work so EVERYONE knew he was taken.

He had a woman from accounting try and come up to him, being seductive, flashing her cleavage and saying she’d probably be a better lover than Gale. Without saying a word Bucky calls up the house phone, tells Gale what she said, hands the phone to her, and Gale absolutely RIPS into her.

Never had any problems with anyone else since

Gale some times during the week will go eat with John during his lunch, mostly to keep an eye out on any other potential accounting ladies

Everyone at the office refers to gale as the misses :)

John who makes sure to do everything in his power to keep Gale happy, even getting him pregnant (he’s got a bad breeding kink)(also raging simp)

Gale to John is what Morticia is to Gomez

Gale surprisingly likes being pregnant (he’s not ashamed to admit it’s because of how much John coddles him when he is)

Nothing can compare to The nightly massages John gives him, or when he’s standing behind Gale, he’ll lift up his bump to alleviate the pressure on his back

John goes into ultra protective mode when gales knocked up

He loves rubbing up on gales baby bump, talking to their baby, telling them no matter the gender he’s gonna teach them baseball

The sex they have when they’re trying is atrocious

Beds broken, sheets ripped apart, gale can’t hardly walk for a week, the amount of bite marks the both of them have

John takes his ass to pound TOWN

John who now also has more framed pictures of when the babies come, of Gale in the hospital holding their baby (he keeps a copy in his wallet), newborn pictures, his boss ends up having to come over to tell him he’s gotta stick to max 7 cause it’s a fire hazard having so many

Gale who goes and does mommy and me yoga just to get out of the house since he’s been cooped up for weeks

They are for sure PTA parents all the way through

he’s never left your mind since then and you were sure the man you have so miraculously saw by the grocery store had been associated with a family as a bread winner father of sort, wore like one, looked like one (no offense intended) and was speaking to someone through the phone pressed against his ear when you noticed him.

like a man who knew his wants but now indecisively staring through the aisle of pad selections “right love, speak properly.” sounded frustrated from the tone of his voice, rasp, gravelly, couldn’t undertsand a single word his daughter was saying despite listening intently. you too, were at the same aisle just a few distance apart and you were restocking your feminine needs. you heard his voice and immediately turned your head towards his direction.

“the one with wings..” he muttered as his eyes scanned through different brands, furrowed brows of confusion, unknowing what the hell the ‘wings’ resembled for in pads. lips agape slightly, likely to huff out a frustrated sigh wishing his daughter at least remembered the brand of whatever she used before throwing the empty packs away.

tall, muscular, his voice, calloused hand firmly squeezing his hip impatiently, beard that defined his jawline, worn a beanie that hid his hair, man’s was ripped you could tell, his form that his jacket hid beneath spoke to you. you may have been staring for so long the man looked your way- your eyes met for nearly a milisecond including the way his eyes glanced away and glanced back again before avoiding you altogether, assumed you judged him when he didn’t have the basic knowledge in pads or worse: if you wondered why a man was in this aisle in the first place. turning his broad back entirely to you before taking a random pack from the shelf and threw it in his basket, to hell if this was the wrong one, he’s got to go.

and so he scurried away, muttering a silent “got it.” into his phone before hanging up. you couldn’t help but smile, you were really only enthralled by the man’s physique.. it was like seeing someone straight out a movie and you wondered when the next time you see him but also felt like you’d most likely never see a man that handsome ever again.

you felt weird because the situation was anything but romantic yet his image just pops into your head in random times of the day, whenever you’d cook, bam, him. felt weird because he’s a stranger, with a family probably.. and you were 30, no one but a cat to have as a companion and you have swiftly assumed he’s at least just a few years older than you were, you also found yourself guessing his name from time to time when loungimg.

“John.” he smiles, his cheeks raise and his eyes squints gently when he does. exhaling out his nose, you nearly lose your composure standing near him- towering over you. yes. you did somehow manage to see him again, the same aisle after 3 months- the thoughts of him did disappear just a tad bit when you’ve not seen such a man for that long but you did still wonder and now you were here again, needing to restock. seein’ him with the same struggle, same way. this time you actually found the balls to come over and help him.

you’d think by now a man like him who had to go back would’ve known what to buy, but he still hadn’t figured out the code. you approached him as nice and gentle as possible and asked if he needed your help. he did and you told some needed basics. it was cute how he listened, even asked and repeated some of what you said just so he knew he was going the right way with this, like it was some examination he had to take seriously of. very devoted man.

you introduced yourself first before he did, he gave back a gentle nod to acknowledge you “thank you.. by the way.” he cleared his throat, thought he was staring you down a bit too long so he shifts his gaze elsewhere, raised the packs of pad you recommended as the indication of his appreciation “she didn’t like the one i bought.. eh.. my daughter.” his deep raspy voice echoes the small chuckle that erupted from his throat into your head.

daughter. you kept in mind. he has a daughter, therefore, maybe a wife?? you try not to focus on the thoughts, bummed you out just a little. the thought of a wife, that is.

“hopefully she’d like that one better, a lot comfier in my humble opinion.” you smile gently, try start a conversation but you were awkward and you felt as if he saw through you with the way he stares. those blue eyes neutral, though it was as if it was analyzing you. he gives the vibe of authority, it made you stiff and your spine crawl yet the smile he wore with the soft reassurance was an opposite “she’d be delighted, i’m sure of it.”

I’m sorry if you’ve answered this before but the recent ‘What if hamilton and Laurens were discovered’ ask has sent me in a bit of a spiral.

What do you think would’ve happened if one of their riskier letters were discovered during Hamilton’s political career? Or perhaps what would’ve become of their relationship had they both gone into politics after the war?

Or i guess my more dramatic question what would happen had their relationship come to light, in a world where they were both in politics?

I honestly can't remember if I've answered this before, but regardless, there would be no surviving political career after discovery. If you thought the aftermath of Hamilton's extramarital affair was bad, the consequence of sodomy would have been much worse. Affairs were oftentimes a common practice amongst the elite class, even when frowned upon. And while committing an affair may be subjectively shameful amongst certain individuals, it was the action of getting caught and letting it reach the public that most found to be worse. Even then, affairs made public was like a slap on the wrist of disapproval, if one was to be found guilty of sodomy their political position and legacy would go down the drain. As I mentioned in my other post about the hypothetical outcome of Hamilton and Laurens getting caught, it would have crowned them as disgraces to their family's.

And although Washington perhaps would have tried to sweep the case under the rug a tad - due to his affiliation with them - the political world was much wider and more broadcasted in comparison to the military. Where the military was more closed off and afar from society; it offered more liberty for soldiers and men to fall a bit astray from proper conduct that was expected of them, and for those in higher ranks to better govern and control what happened inside the circle of the army, or what traveled out. And oftentimes most acts, that would commonly be perceived as disagreeable, were excusable due to the deprivation in the consequence of war. For example, many played a blind eye to sodomy engagement because a usual reasoning was that they were away from their wives or mistresses. This also led to some alcohol habits in the army, but regardless, it was not the same when these men would return to everyday society, especially the aristocratic politician's world.

And the thing is, this likely could have happened if Laurens lived and they continued to pursue their relationship—As John Adams was notorious for prying into Hamilton's sex life. With the black population in the West Indies outweighing the white population, there was a lot of racial mixing. Also because it was a place of the lower or working class, so they didn't or couldn't afford to have the same racist and bigoted expectations that the colonies did, where interracial marriages or mixing races was period typically seen as bad. Additionally, most of the planters that traveled to the Islands considered their stay in the Carribean to be temporary, many of the Creole men would take black or mixed-race mistresses instead of wives, which was not considered an ideal sex life in the colonies. And there were many cultural differences like these between the Colonies and the West Indies, Colonial elites and New Englanders saw a masculine, bread-winner, husband who contented his wife sexually as ideal. But if a man went around dawdling and having promiscuous sex all the time, he would be deemed as less of a man, for he lacked control over his urges and provocation. Oftentimes there was this broad pipeline of assumptions, where sexually active men were soon assumed to be sexual deviants, which then lead to the connection of Sodomy. Because it was widely assumed that if a man was having large amounts of sex with women, he would eventually turn to men. It didn't help the perception of the Islanders that the Carribean was used as a penitentiary for people convicted of socially disagreeable crimes; people like prostitutes, women who committed infidelity, sodomites, etc., were dumped there. I've delved into this before, but needless to say, the West Indies had a bad rep amongst the Colonists that thought themselves higher. Due to this all, Adams had a stigmatized disgust and hatred towards Hamilton, where he assumed the worst of him. Probably sharing the same racist and xenophobic ideology many of the Colonists had of the islanders, where they connoted that the white West Indians' sensuality had been influenced by the deplorable traits of the black West Indians.

With this all in mind, Adams believed Hamilton had only proven the presumption true after his scandal with Reynolds had come to light. And he made absurd claims like a provoking joke of a comparison that Hamilton was Washington's seductive mistress, or that he was having an affair with his sister-in-law, Angelica. And even supported the theory that he was truly Thomas Stevens's son. And he had nearly edged on the discovery of Hamilton's sexuality, in a letter from Charles Adams to to his father he writes of an interesting passing comment by a Church (It is not confirmed if he refers to John Baker Church or Philip Church);

Nay he even went so far as to say at his own Table when I was present; that he had, in his own words “Been that day appointing a Son of the Notorious Bill Livingston’s a Midshipman in our Navy” This modest speech was addressed to Church whose reply was you have then I find weaknesses not confined to the female sex: which produced a laugh and perhaps was not thought of by any person but myself afterwards.

Church tells Hamilton that he had, “weaknesses not confined to the female sex,” according to Charles. Hamilton's ‘weakness’ for ‘the female sex’ means he had obvious inclination or attraction to women. So, when Church says Hamilton had these ‘weaknesses’, “not confined to the female sex,” he means Hamilton had an inclination or attraction to the male sex as well. Inferring that Hamilton had a sexual preference for both men and women. Now, unfortunately, we don't have Adams's response to this particular letter, so we aren't even sure what he made of this information. But if Hamilton was nearly discovered just like that, imagine how high the chances would have been had the story turned out different and they could continue to pursue their relationship.

Winx Musical Casting - The Specialists and Stella Edit

This. woman. is. a. POWERHOUSE? Not only does she have AMAZING VOCALS, but shes an amazing actress with spectacular comedic timing and is just an amazing performer. Her credits include Pamela in the Original Broadway Cast of Head Over Heels, and Debra in the Tony Award Winning Musical, Kimberly Akimbo. Pamela already gives Stella energy so I think she would steal the show as our favorite ray of chaotic sunshine.

Now, I don't know if Milo has done any theatre BUT his credits do have him all the musical theatre skills (singing, dancing, acting, etc). He's mostly known for playing Zed Necrodopolis in the DCOM musical trilogy, Zombies. He also placed 2nd on Dancing With the Stars in 2018. From the videos I've seen of him, he seems to have the right kind of vibes for our favorite himbo squire.

Helia: Dean John-Wilson

His credits include the title role in Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End, Lun Tha in the West End revival of The King and I, and, most recently, L in the English Premiere of Death Note the Musical in London. His voice is amazing and he really gets into his character's heads. The most recent example being L.

Timmy: Matt Doyle

This man has played a vast amount of roles. His credits include Hanschen in Spring Awakening, Elder Price in the Book of Mormon, and Seymour in the Off-Broadway production of Company. But, he's mostly well known for playing Jaimie in the Tony winning revival of Company, WHICH HE WON A TONY FOR! I think he could definitely bring the nerdy and helpful energy to bring Timmy to life on stage.

Riven: Gus Halper

What really sold me on him was his credit that that he's most well known for playing, Mischa Bachinsky in Ride the Cyclone. I feel like the character's two songs are both sides to Riven. He could bring the misunderstood bad boy energy while also getting vulnerable and emotional at moments.

Nabu: Michal Maliakel

Currently, he's playing the lead role in Aladdin on Broadway. In the past, his credits include Cover Raoul in the International Tour of the Phantom of the Opera, George Nowack in She Loves Me, and Artie Green in the Kennedy Center production of Sunset Boulevard. I personally saw him as Aladdin and he was amazing. I feel like there are some similarities between the two characters so, I think he could bring the energy of the specialist that deserved better, Nabu.

Deliliah grew up in what would be considered a upper middle class family, her mother stayed home making money from redo peoples closets and reorganizing their life's but she did that so she could be around her kids more. Her father was the main bread winner, he worked in city planning. Which is funny since Delilah's home town only have a population of 690 people and it's not changing anytime soon. Silverton is tiny and up in the mountains and was only Delilah knew until she left. She's a small town girl first. Hell, she owned a horse from ages six to nineteen when sadly she passed away. Not the last time that year Delilah would lose someone close to her. First her horse in an accident then her mother died. Margret was a wonderful mother she doted on her kids and made up for the fact all John did was work and go hunt and drink. He'd rather be in the mountain than with his family most times. This is turn made Delilah close to her mom. Not only was she the eldest but the only girl. So, when her mom get sick around Delilah's sixteenth birthday she did what any daughter would do, she stepped up. She knew her father couldn't or wouldn't handle taking care of her brothers working and taking care of her mom. Instead, the sixteen year old child did. She began to help her mom with house work, cooked food for her bothers, bathed her mom when got to weak. Did it all. Even put off going to school. Delilah didn't go to college until after her mom passed. She was going to stay and take care of her brother's even longer but she was already twenty and lost so much time plus on her death bed her mother told, " go be you". That has stuck with her for a long time. "Go be you" It plays in her head daily when she thinks she doing wrong. Moving away change her relationship with her family. Her father and her where never close but that only worsened when she came to him her fourth year of school and told him she was pregnant. Anger doesn't cover how he reacted. He called her a whole, a slut, told her she'd never be a vet now. But all she heard as he screamed at her was her mom's voice echoing in her mind. "Go be you" That's where she is now four years after she had twins. Being herself. Not being close to her family or at least her dad made her find herself. No she didn't get to finish vet school. Her pregnancy did change that but now she's an animal rehabilitator and works on her own time. Her home is always filled with animals some that will go back into the wild but others that will go to rescues and zoos. Most rewarding job . Just like her mom she gets to be with her kids. Gets to be a good mom. But mostly not taking to her dad took away the pressure of her being the perfect daughter. Being herself has opened her world and shown her while she might have kids with a man but she's mostly gay. Being openly queer is still new for her. The almost thirty year old didn't have her first queer experice until last year. Nathan had the kids and she went out to a club and for the first time had sex with someone who wasn't assigned male at birth. That moment a light went off in her head, "Go be you", she's gay. She might still like men and not regret a second of her life with her girls and their father but she likes women way more than she ever liked men. She knows she does like men still but there is way more to herself. She's calling herself queer now but still exploring and coming to terms with everything it's still so fresh for her. Now she just finds herself trying to live up to her goals and just co parent well and be a good mom.

1st Book: Chapter 1: Flashbacks (autobiography)

My name is John Nataneal Refugio Tismo, eighteen years old, the eldest son with four younger siblings, living with my father and mother here in Imus City, Cavite. Being the eldest son is hard but honorable duty given by the weight you carry on your shoulders. As the eldest son and sibling, you are expected to be the role model for younger siblings. You are expected to carry and become the bread winner of the family. You are expected to be the second father and mother and in-charge of your siblings. You are expected to sacrifice for the family, the way your father and mother do. There's too many expectations. I'm not a perfect son nor an older brother. I make mistakes and repeat it again. I often disobey and talk back to my parents but I'm mad and hate it when my other siblings does it too, to them and to me. Reflecting on this, it turns out in my mind that it is all my fault. I failed as a son for talking back and disobeying my parents, and as an older brother, seen me did it, they adapt and did it too. Thinking about this, I started hating myself. Wasting years of my life since consciousness. There are questions running in my head like, "Why does it have to be for me to become the eldest?", " Can I reincarnate to become the youngest within a rich family?" and also " Why does good things are given to the unworthy instead to those who deserve it like me?". I always think that if it was me, I wont waste it. If it was given to me, I'll cherish and take care of it. Because I know how precious it was, like money and opportunity. I had a childhood memory of feeling hunger back in the days. I remember picking up cans and bottles with my father early in the morning. I remember eating rice porridge with soy sauce and knew how it tastes. And also the reason I discover that putting sugar instead of salt in rice porridge tastes way better. As the eldest, I experienced these, it all happened in Binan before we are helped by my uncle, and offered to live in and take care of his house, for he is abroad. I'm grateful to him and want to give his kindness back to him someday. After migrating here in Cavite, we started experiencing a much better life. It is also the reason I forgot where I came from. I got blinded and brainwashed. I forgot my dreams, my role and duty. And I almost forget my parents hardwork in raising me as their first born and the expectations and duty to help them carry the family. In truth , everynight before I sleep, the things I did through out the day and the other days are gushing through my head, making me reflect. I should not have done this. I should have done that. As I said, Im not a perfect person, nor a son, nor an older brother. I still make mistakes. There are still times that I talk back and disobey my parents. The wrong words I spat out to my younger siblings. Emotions are taking over me and making me do wrong decisions. I regret it. As of now, Im trying my best to fix myself, trying to respect and obey my parents more, and opening up and accepting flaws my younger siblings are pointing out.

The Women’s Prize For Fiction 2023 Longlist Is Here!

I’m pretty sure that anyone who was reading my blog around this time last year will know that I follow the Women’s Prize for Fiction very closely. In fact, it’s the only book prize that I ever want to make the effort to read as much of the longlist as I can. So, this time of year is like bookish Christmas to me and I have been SO excited over the last couple of weeks during the build-up to this announcement.

For those of you who don’t follow it, the Women’s Prize for Fiction is an annual book prize given to a book written in English by a woman over the last year. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

It must be a full-length novel (no short story collections or novellas).

It must have been originally written in English (no translations).

It must have been published in the UK between 1st April of the year before the prize and 31st March of the year of the prize (so, this year’s eligibility period was between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023).

I’ve watched a lot of prediction videos and I was pretty sure I had a good idea of what books we’d see on this list. Having just watched the official announcement of the 16 books on the longlist, I am FLABBERGASTED at how wrong everyone was!

Demon Copperhead is the only one I’ve already read and it definitely deserves to be there. Cursed Bread, Fire Rush and The Bandit Queens are on my TBR for this month anyway. I have copies of Trespasses, Stone Blind, The Marriage Portrait, Memphis, Glory, Pod and I’m A Fan, so will be getting to them as soon as I can. There are quite a few books on here that I’ve never even heard of, so that’s very exciting!

While I am quite sad not to see some of the popular predictions on here (Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Nightcrawling, A Spell For Good Things, Birnam Wood, Really Good Actually, The Rabbit Hutch), I am really intrigued to see how I get on with these books.

The shortlist of six books will be announced on 26th April, so I’ll be aiming to get as much of the longlist read before then as possible. The winner will be announced on 14th June, so you’ve got plenty of time to read them all before then, if that sounds like fun!

Favourite Time of Year

So my favourite season is Autum, BUT my favourite time of year is that week between Christmas and New Year's. A week of leftover Christmas food, cosy pyjamas, chocolate, films on the TV and having no real plans. The world feels quiet, and still. Those five days are something else and I can't wait for them again this year.

Comfort Food

Vegan cheesy pasta. And if it has broccoli pieces in it and a cheesy breaded crust? Heaven on Earth!

Tiramisu!! Though I need to find a dairy free one so that I can eat it again. Or warm apple pie and ice cream. Two winners

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced that Victoria Nuland will step down in the coming weeks as Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs. What legacy will the leave?

Victoria Nuland — the architect of the 2014 Euromaidan coup in Kiev — has quit just as her pet project collapses.

Nuland's decision to retire came like a bolt from the blue, given her active role in Ukraine's affairs under presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, retired CIA intelligence officer and State Department official Larry Johnson told Sputnik.

"If it's not for health reasons, she's not resigning to take a better job. That's for sure," Johnson said, "Her only reason for being in that job was because of Ukraine. She was not a factor or force at the State Department in all the other areas such as China, Middle East, those are all back burner issues. Her thing was Ukraine."

He said Nuland's departure was a sign that the US policy in Ukraine was "unravelling" and was "not a political winner."

"It's like an albatross hanging around their neck as they go into the election season," Johnson said. "Her leaving is probably going to cause more consternation in Kiev and particularly with Zelensky."

Who Is Nuland?

In his press statement on Tuesday, Blinken said "Toria" had served in various capacities under six American presidents and ten secretaries of state and had been "indispensable to confronting Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine" — just as Washington's proxy front with Moscow was collapsing in Donetsk.

Nuland is the wife of American ardent neoconservative strategist Robert Kagan, a leading voice for US overseas interventions and regime-change operations.

Nuland served as the principal deputy foreign policy adviser (2003 – 2005) to Vice President Dick Cheney, the mastermind of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Between 2005 and 2008, she served as US ambassador to NATO in Brussels, focusing on mobilizing European support for the alliance's military campaign in Afghanistan and sabre-rattling with Russia.

Under the Obama administration, then-secretary of state Hillary Clinton picked Nuland as her spokeswoman. Clinton's successor, John Kerry, appointed her as his assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Sworn in September 2013, Nuland immediately took charge of what quickly morphed under her watch into a color revolution in Ukraine.

Euromaidan, which started in November 2013 as a protest against then-President Viktor Yanukovich's refusal to sign an EU association agreement, turned violent in December 2013.

Nuland called for "taking Ukraine into the future it deserves," boasting that the US had invested over $5 billion into Ukraine achieving "its European aspirations." She travelled to Kiev and handed out bread and cookies to protesters at Kiev's Independence Square ("Maidan Nezalezhnosti") reassuring rioters of US support.

Coup Plotter On Steroids

In early February 2014, a conversation between Victoria Nuland and then-US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt discussing the shape of the provisional Kiev regime was leaked online. Nuland was heard to dismiss European partners with the phrase "F**k the EU."

The plans they came to fruition the same month after Yanukovich was ousted by a violent nationalist mob in violation of the Ukrainian Constitution, forcing him flee the country chased by neo-Nazi militant groups.

In May 2014 Nuland was grilled by congress representatives Dana Rohrabacher and Brad Sherman over her denial of the role armed neo-Nazis played in the Euromaidan coup during her congressional testimony.

"There were pictures of people running around with these that we were told were neo-Nazis. Were there neo-Nazis in those efforts – street violence that led to Mr. Yanukovych’s removal?" asked Rohrabacher.

Nuland insisted that "the vast majority of those who participated on the Maidan were peaceful protesters," but eventually admitted that "almost every color of Ukraine was represented, including some – including some ugly colors."

Minsk Agreements, Ukrainian Biolabs And Kiev's Retreat

Eight years later she was forced to admit that the US had maintained a secretive network of bio-labs in Ukraine. Documents obtained by the Russian Ministry of Defense in the course of the special military operation showed these facilities were conducting biowarfare research.

On March 8, 2022 Nuland testified that "Ukraine has biological research facilities," hastily adding: "We are now in fact quite concerned that Russian troops, Russian forces, may be seeking to gain control of them."

Nuland also tried to undermine the two Minsk accords between Kiev and the Donetsk and Lugansk regions in 2014 and 2015. She blamed breakdowns in the truce on Russia, one of the three countries that brokered the deals, while turning a blind eye to Ukraine's attacks on the Donbass republics and the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) network of torture chambers.

Then-German chancellor Angela Merkel later admitted that the accords were just a ruse to buy time to arm Ukraine for NATO's proxy conflict with Russia.

The last time Nuland was seen in Kiev was early February 2024, during the rift between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and then-commander-in-chief General Valery Zaluzhny. Zelensky sacked Zaluzhny on February 8, and on On February 17, the Russian army liberated Avdeyevka in the Donetsk region — where it continues to advance.

Nuland’s tenure at the position lasted three and a half decades, when she served under six presidents and ten secretaries of state.

Nuland Resigns As Anti-Russia Plot Fails

Commenting on the news of Nuland's retirement, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated: "They will not tell you the reason. But it is simple — the failure of the anti-Russian policy of [US President Joe] Biden’s administration."

"Russophobia, proposed by Victoria Nuland as the main foreign policy concept of the United States, is dragging the Democrats to the bottom like a stone," she added.

Johnson believes Zakharova is right:

"[Nuland] has certainly been the central figure in the US government going back a decade. This was her thing in 2014, when the Maidan occurred," he said. "She was the one on the phone with the ambassador, trying to figure out who the United States was going to put it in as president of Ukraine."

"So, she's been one of the puppet mistresses behind the scenes, pulling the strings," Johnson added. "The fact that she's now resigning at a time when continued aid for Ukraine is uncertain, as well as growing opposition in Congress, particularly among Republicans, about continuing to pour bad money after good in Ukraine, and with the presidential election looming on the horizon."

The Biden White House has already signalled a shift on several issues, including Ukraine, the CIA veteran said. "I think her resignation may in part reflect some frustration, as a protest against that policy."

Johnson said Nuland's legacy was nothing to boast about.

She will be remembered for "taking Ukraine to the precipice of disappearing into an abyss, passing out cookies," along with "the use of the F-word... The European Union, she said, could go f*** themselves. So that's her legacy."
