Say hello to my current foster, Brad. He’s a two year old stray that almost starved and froze this past winter but luckily was rescued. He had a little bit of frostbite and is underweight, but he’s got a good appetite and is slowly showing his sweet side.

Frostbite took part of his ear but he’s still super cute and the sweetest little kitty.

You know, when I brought Brad to the shelter for a vet check I was hoping he gained weight. He didn’t, he lost a couple ounces. Now I’m bring him back tomorrow and when I was hanging out with him last night, I could see it. At least I hope it’s not my wishful thinking seeing what’s not there, but I think he’s gained weight. I went from feeding him 1/2 can twice a day with kibble in between, (I felt like he had too much leftover food) so I switched to a 1/3 thrice daily. I also gave him special treats like some fancy feast on top of his meals, and some delectable treats like the squeeze ups and bisque. I think he’s been eating better and I hope the scale tomorrow proves it. He’s also been more affectionate, hopefully because he’s feeling better.
