I understand your reasoning for making Julien and soft!gf move to LA, especially since everyone in your munageniusverse hangs out on the reg.......but I will always believe in Nashville Julien and soft!gf supremacy.
no fr so do i, can you tell i’m like “since they live in LA now “ (👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼)
nothing wrong w LA but I strongly believe that like julien and soft!gf kept their house in nash because nash means SM to them
like julien has said before there’s no reason to have two homes when some people don’t have one
and it’s not like it’s a family home (some soft!gf x julien lore comin at ya) but like they started dating and uhauled so fast and bought the house together (maybe rent to own??) and they adopted their dogs in that house and renovated it with their bare hands in the pandemic and they have personal touches ALL OVER and they got engaged in that house and i can’t see them getting rid of it bc of sentimental reasons
maybe they rent it out to soft!gf’s family or like mutual friends or something or they use it when they need a break from LA
and it’s a small house in my mind like big compared to LA but it’s the perfect size for a family of 4 (soft!gf, jb, winnie, and blue)
idk i kinda want to write a fic about the house but i have so much i have to get out first
there are people out there who got to witness phoebe bridgers, boygenius, phoebe and taylor singing nothing new AND a speak now tv announcement and I just want to say i'm really happy for them
It's been two months since I saw boygenius and I'm still not over Julien Baker telling her homecoming queen story with her typically well hidden country ass accent slipping out.
That was the draggenius show. We all cursed my state's governor at the top of our lungs within walking distance of the state capital. Still, somehow, my main takeaway was Julien talking about when she was "homecomin' quain."
(Julien Baker, if you ever read this, please don't get all self conscious about it because it was the greatest fucking thing ever and my accent is even worse when it slips out. No judgment, just southern queer solidarity.)
It’s so funny to see the transition from Nashville to LA comments as someone not from America, cause I wholeheartedly have no idea what the cultural differences are other than influencers and stuff (non the less I’m still in team Nashville)
hahahahaha i would say that the influencers and stuff are not an exact representation of LA? like yes a part of LA but there’s a lot of rich history and great communities of people and lots of culture and it’s HUGE
i’m highlighting specifically like the changes of julien in a small town in suburban nashville vs julien in los angeles
which its just a diff vibe, like it’s not bad, one isn’t superior but small town julien gives domesticity and woodworking and lots of public dates
LA gives more like hanging out with friends, soul searching, private dates, going out more to clubs and stuff, just because they are around more people
both have a community in each place and build a home but it’s just different cities are different vibes
does that make sense?
(the actual cultural differences between cities in the SAME state i think would shock even american’s not from that state, i think a lot of people don’t realize how big the US actually is and how every state/city is literally its own thing it’s crazy, blows my mind as an american)
I waited in line for 7 hours yesterday to be able to vote so when I came home at like midnight I practically fell asleep while having dinner and had the longest sleep of my life. Here is a very concerning list of what I woke up to with my phone on 3% and about a dozen missed calls from worried friends:
• SPEAK NOW TV???
• nothing new live after I spent the past week crying over my new found appreciation for phoebe bridgers
