Ma a volte queste divisioni sono fatte in maniera troppo netta, troppo brusca e giudicate in maniera pesante e cattiva. Perché? Qual è il problema? Madoka, il protagonista di Il segreto di Madoka, per gioco veste gli abiti femminili che cuce sua sorella maggiore. Trasferitosi in una nuova scuola fa la conoscenza di Itsuki, sua compagna di classe alla quale piacciono il calcio, i videogiochi e si veste da maschiaccio. Ecco che i due si confrontano su questi aspetti, del maschile e femminile, e sulla paura di essere se stessi al di fuori del raggio familiare e il giudizio altrui che porta entrambi ad avere questi piccoli segreti. Nella sua semplicità la situazione raccontata da questo volume unico fa molto riflettere sulle imposizioni della società, a volte senza senso, e che preoccupano più gli adulti che i bambini, che vedono la cosa con innocenza e divertimento. Come se un bambino che adora i pupazzi carini o una bambina che gioca con un pallone siano qualcosa di brutto se non addirittura “pericoloso”. Il segreto di Madoka offre tanti spunti di riflessione che lo spazio di IG è troppo poco per analizzarlo.
