Note
I have arachnophobia and a stupidly strong fear response, so the word spider is blacklisted everywhere possible. (I would like for my laptop to not fly again because of a really high quality pic of an eight-legged nightmare...)
Anyway, your posts literally do not appear on my dash. I have no idea why/when I started following you and I still don't see your posts
So yeah, that's that
Welp
I believe anonymous asks don't ping the sender, so I suppose this person won't see my reply. But for anybody here who's arachnophobic:
I always tag pictures of spiders as three terms: arthropods, arachids, and spiders. This is partially for my own organization, but also because I know some people are squeamish about more than just spiders, and may include other arachids (such as harvestmen), or everything with an exoskeleton. If you follow me, those tags are there to help expose you to only the more fictional creepy critters I like (usually tagged with gore or body horror, but on a more subjective basis).
But, should you wish you felt less scared of spiders, or if you find them too disturbing to look at but still find them fascinating, then I have a recommendation for you: @bogleech's incredible Spiderween series, a series of educational articles designed specifically for curious arachnophobes. In Spiderween, you will never see a spider unless you affirmatively choose to look at an image! All depictions of spider anatomy and diversity within the text are instead illustrated with fictional creatures that Bogleech dubbed "Spoyds". They're absolutely precious little fuzzy goblin critters.
Since its original posting in 2018, Spiderween has become my number one recommendation to any and all arachnophobes who want to know more about spiders. Even for those who already love spiders, you're sure to learn something from it!

Also going to finally make a pinned post for all my stuff:
Tumblr media
BOGLEECH - my tumblr blog is named after this website I created around 2002 and still update. Thousands of pages worth of content focusing on creature design as well as real biology. My review of the original Legend of Zelda monsters might be the most straightforward example of my articles. Links to some of the most popular content:
Tumblr media
POKEMON REVIEW ARCHIVE: - I rate and review each and every single Pokemon, in Pokedex order, on its merits as a creature design. I also do so as someone whose favorite animals are all parasites.
DIGIMON REVIEW ARCHIVE - same, but more chaotic.
CREEPYPASTA COOKOFF ARCHIVE - for several years I hosted a yearly writing contest before it grew too big for me to keep up with. There are over a thousand user submitted horror, fantasy, sci fi and surrealist stories here emphasizing unconventional, original ideas you seldom see from the "creepypasta" community!
Tumblr media
The original "MORTASHEEN" Monster Archive - since the early 2000's I've created and illustrated more than 800 creatures and counting for my own monster-catching world, now set for release as a tabletop RPG setting.
Tumblr media
AWFUL HOSPITAL: SERIOUSLY THE WORST EVER (page one): an interactive comedy-horror-sci-fi webcomic I started in 2014 about a medical facility that could maybe be better.
Some of my other internet stuff:
PATREON - constant work makes my patreon updates inconsistent, but the content backlog goes back years with a huge amount of exclusive art and writing. I try to put up new exclusive stuff whenever I can.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ETSY - I design all sorts of original enamel pins like these, plus I sell zero-maintenance terrarium plants (just leave them in a jar!), original books and other things!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
COLOR THE ABYSS (available on the above etsy!) - a 30 page educational deep sea coloring book! Includes a few famous favorites like giant isopods and hagfish, but mostly focuses on less popular, often much weirder animals.
Tumblr media
UNBELIEVABLE BUGS - also regularly restocked in the etsy store, 30 of the strangest and most surprising arthropods most people have likely never heard of, illustrated by myself and @revretch, written for even the youngest kids to understand (but will likely teach you something new at any age)
Tumblr media
My Itch.io and Ko-fi - both sell digital versions of my books, including some creepypasta collections and my first novel, "Return of the Living," about a world of entirely ghosts suddenly dealing with the appearance of ghost-hunting monsters.
TWITCH CHANNEL - I now try to stream something at least monthly, sometimes weekly when possible, from horror games to books and art.
YOUTUBE CHANNEL - archives my twitch streams and other little things.
INSTAGRAM - look at pictures of my huge weird collection of toys and Halloween collectibles
BLUESKY - I'm going to put mainly just updates to my stuff on here. SEE ALSO:
Tumblr media
HUMANS-B-GONE - a science fiction animated series by my partner @revretch, about a world of kaiju-size, technologically advanced insects and arachnids to whom vertebrates like us are just pesky little "gubs." Also has a tumblr account @humansbgone

So, short stories dump.
When I made a tumblr account I decided I would take the chance to post/list the short stories that I wrote and are already available online on my blog (do we still call them blogs?). Both to contribute to the social experience and to maybe get some new feedback.
They are currently all available on the excellent Bogleech website (@bogleech) which is a continue source of inspiration. I will make a link list for the time being but plan to post them directly on the site in the future. Maybe after I retouch some of the older entries.
The following are not all of my short stories but they are the ones I currently feel are sort of nice enough to pass around:
"I Suck at Humans"
"Morning Person"
"Fridge Problems"
"High Jack"
"Proadation"
"Roomspace"
"The Swimming Man"
"Not for Sale"
"Graveyard Slot"
"Heard a Buzz"
TW for light gore, horror, car accidents, please let me know if I missed any.
Enjoy, I hope.

The Burden of Being Seen Online
I talk about one of my fears that's plagued me recently again.
When you access the Websites section of the Neocities front page, it automatically sets the viewing mode to the most followed Neocities sites. This is less organic, but more useful in the long run for finding indie sites. The most visited sites on Neocities are a Neopets fansite, some WebGL demonstrations, and the lovely Bogleech. The most followed are the famous Fauux, a districts site that I question if it's alive, Sadgrl, and Dokodemo. I'm friends with at least one of these people, but this intro has gone on enough. For a while, I've been on the second page for the most followed sites. It's still a long journey of a scroll down to find me, but I'm there. Big achievement. Woohoo! Yippee! IT'S HAPPY HOUR!! I'm right there, and with that, comes traffic. And with that, comes being seen.
I've always had a habit of deleting my works once I've grown too large, because being seen has usually made me extremely uncomfortable of a judgement I couldn't see by people who didn't say anything to me, only watched. Being seen is judgement in itself, positive or negative. It shatters me to the core, and feels like eyes piercing my shell. In addition, as of writing this, I have 170-ish followers on my small Tumblr. I literally just reblog shitposts and make my own sillies there. Feels weird. Audience is weird.
But being seen also leads to my goal in life -- to have my works appreciated. I like when people see my art, my writing, the shit I smear on a digital canvas and call my own. Seeing me as a person is another thing. I am just a little guy on the web, and there are many much bigger guys there that could kill me instantly. But what I want to be seen for is not usually what I am actually seen for -- my low-effort, low-time, well-timed small jokes are usually the rocket-launchers. Not the stuff I pour my sweat into. I'm sure that happens to everyone in a high-paced traffic jam of a web, but it does leave me quite miffed by the sight of it.
All of my life, I have been socially isolated in the real world. On the web, it varies. I do not touch normie spaces anymore. I've learnt my lesson -- being seen there is a death sentence to someone who is not right in the head. I slip out of a slight line or say something that isn't on a thin thread, and there are swords pointed at me. I do not understand an ever-changing set of rules on the web or in normie spaces, so I merely stay on my own. Net nomad, some call it. Vagabond is a cooler word, though.
But while I am still a vagabond, this vagabondness is now popular, because everybody else is fed up with the normie web. We gather, create our own spaces, and visit them and leave pretty messages. I have been praised and seen plenty of times here, and I truly treasure it all.
But even that leaves me on edge, for being seen means being percieved, judged, and left to boil in the minds of many.
Being seen is suffering, but one I must persist in, let myself be wound by in order to succeed in what I do best -- create. I create by edge and by whim. I pick up paper and just go at it. Many are like this, most of them also mentally ill as I am, and both refrain from and wish to discuss here. A shy artist is a forgotten one, until perhaps after death, such as Van Gogh. Love that guy's Clone High appearance, by the way.
Hey, you're seeing this right now. Do you have any thoughts on my site? What I write, make?

Jack to Mrs. Westenra: I see your daughter is a bit pale. I have a colleague to assist me in her care.

The journey may have had incidents; I was, however, too eager to get on, to care for them.
I’m imagining a full Murder on the Orient Express novel happening in the background and Jonathan just out front of the train with a shovel clearing the tracks to get moving again. He’s very effective with a shovel by now.

The idea that Dracula still wants to play normal host after the last two months is ludicrous. “My coachman (who is me) will take you (but not in your traveling clothes because I stole them) and your things (the ones i didnt steal) tomorrow (the day after your letter says you already arrived). If you wish to walk through the door (which is totally unlocked, even though I use the window) and through the gauntlet of wolves (that I control) in your indoor clothes, I wont stop you (but the ladies are after you too).”

My #1 post of 2022
I keep seeing the idea that the Supreme Court is un-impeachable and it’s NOT TRUE. Supreme court justices can be impeached, and have. Samuel Chase was impeached in 1809. Abe Fortas resigned rather than be impeached in 1969. Fourteen other federal judges (also lifetime appointments) have also been impeached.
And there is grounds for impeachment for several of them. Lying to the Senate during your confirmation hearing is Federal Perjury. They have comitted public crimes.
Call your congresspeople. Let them know you want these criminals removed from their authority. They are not untouchable.
