ggghghghgh brainstorming an idea for a deltarune chapter 3 secret boss
thought it would be fun and interesting to make a secret boss whos just fucking miserable. emotionally she is a pile of soggy wet paper sitting in a puddle outside.
(i dont really like the proportions i did for her in the top right drawing but unfortunately it came out really good and i cant draw anything better)
Y/n: No f u Eclipse, there will be no childmurder 2-night!
So anyway- long time no see~! I have now read @naffeclipse‘s whole Sleuth Jesters saga and love it and have some ideas and doodles I want to share!
Let’s start with this depiction of a scene that happened in chapter 7: What’s Due and Dead. Yes this is exactly what happned- no I’m not exaggerating maybe a little. I just could not stop cackling when this thought popped into my head, so here it is in reality!
I used @sinnabee‘s mob boss Eclipse design (because it’s *chef’s kiss!*), this lovely detective AU belongs to @starlightcloudbaby and the story is of course made by @naffeclipse! Hope y’all like my shenanigans~!
This has been bugging me for a while and you're an excellent source of Gale info, please don't feel obligated to answer but I was wondering if you have any idea why detonating the orb in act 2 transforms everyone but doing it in the endgame cures everyone? For the life of me I can't figure out why it's different and “it's because it was too early in the game” doesn't suffice as an explanation for me lol
thank you so much for your kind words! also don't feel bad for sending asks or anything. i've just been slow to answer because work has started again.
as to your question: i honestly couldn't tell you.
i talked about this with friends a lot and there's no real explanation offered at all. i think this difference in the way the same decision plays out in different acts of the game is more down to... the different endings they wanted to tell at different points in time, as well as player choice for a custom protag playthrough and an origin playthrough with gale.
so yeah, as far as i can tell, there's no in-game reasons or logic that can be really applied here or used to explain that difference.
(and not to be like that, but it really is in-line with the overall downhill trajectory of the game that begins after act i ends imo.)
