MaxTul (origin Bad Romance, latest Manner of Death) - champions (and origin) of Thai BL IRL ships

A LOOK BACK at TEE & FUSE

MAKE IT RIGHT: THE SERIES (2016, THAILAND)

With their start being that of a sexual assault and subsequent guilt and a whirl of emotions.

Fuse (PEEMAPOL PANICHTAMRONG aka PEAK) was a heartbroken young man as he learned Jean his sweet girlfriend wasn't so sweet. That she was cheating on him. He went out and drowned his sorrows in alcohol with friends.

Completely drunk he was taken home by Tee (KRITTAPAK UDOMPANICH aka BOOM) but Fuse was unable to tell Tee his address so Tee brought him home.

A drunken question about has Tee ever had sex with boy (he hadn't) and if he wanted to try (he did)

Fuse awoke the next morning clearly dazed, confused and deflowered.

Tee felt guilty. Really Guilty. Because Fuse couldn't consent to the encounter as he was impaired. And Tee quickly caught feelings for his friend.

However though the start was not great these two young men fell madly in love. Even though Fuse had split emotions as he did not drop his girlfriend but he began a "relationship" with Tee.

Okay, ABL, here's one l haven't seen tackled: role reversal ! I'm watching Moonlight Chicken, and l'm thinking, "Could l see this with the actors switching characters ?"

Gemini is taller, square face, intelligent and thoughtful nature--but a domineering physical presence. His opposite is more cherubic, elfin even ? I mean, these are just physical characteristics, and l love them as they are ... but l really could see it the other way around, too.

How many pairs out there might you say that about, for any given script ?

Ooo, I think I get what you're after. Pairs branded as seme/uke but where I could see the actors switch it up easily?

TayNew - first one that sprung to mind, bar none. Tay has done the uke role before (3WBF), and I actually think they'd do a better job at Cherry Magic if Tay played the chaos monkey Adachi role.

BrightWin - they a sunken ship but I could easily see them switching it up

The fact the GMMTV is shy of this kind of thing is GMMTV's problem and a y-novel adaptation issue, not the actors. I mean they let Ohm & Nanon, First & Khao, and a few others pay with the dynamic, they can keep doing it if they really want to.

So... 7 project ... I can't believe how good it is. By now we've had a few of this kind of series, where there are several small independent stories loosely connected with each other (Y Destiny, Close Friend - which was also about songs- and even En of Love) but this is definitely the best one so far (I don't think they can ruin it by now...right? The writing, the stories, the acting, the direction, it's all really really good.. even if some of the stories took a turn we might not like (like in ep. 3 imo) it's still solid work. They even got me excited about the next episode with Plan, I thought I wasn't gonna be able to see past Can's role, but in the little appearances in the last episodes I was totally convinced with this new Ryu character

I finally, finally, finally watched 7 Project episode 6, the only part of this Thai drama that I was actually interested in because it featured BoomPeak and, gosh, I forgot how much I loved them and missed them on my screen! Their chemistry is still off the charts, ever since Make It Right! It's been 5 years since they starred together for the first time and they still play off each other fabulously!

And the story was so good! The way Tonnam stood up for Phupha, and even though the ending was left open, they liked each other a lot and they knew it and their friend and Tonnam's sister knew and they were so happy for them and... Wah! From what I've heard, this was the only episode with a happy ending (?) and I was ecstatic that it was given to BoomPeak! 😙😙😙
