Happy one year to Bolt in the Blue by @valeriianz ! Truly the best band au fics I've ever read, I am Endless' #2 fan forever (#1 is Hob, of course) 💙🎸✨
+ alt. colors for the flyer & other scans:
i love taking advantage of my art uni's massive (MASSIVE) scanners for literally anything i can. it's got the most gorgeous grit and scan banding that photoshop trickery cant replicate (though i try lol). so, yes, i literally printed out the b&w flyers, scanned them in, then added color and printed them again to stick on my wall haha.
when digitally adding color, i wanted it to really feel like black ink on colored paper instead of trying to print on color paper and then scan it again (i have done this before idk). i think the xerox-y look is pretty convincing! the green, pink, and purple are my personal favs.
an irl friend suggest i try non-black-ink versions to see what i liked. i think they look cool but some of the text gets a bit lost. still, i like the pale yellow+red ink one. (this almost makes me want to try riso printing this to see what it'd look like 👀👀).
^ this is what the white horse metal barrier edit looked like before I added the Huji Cam filter lol. it wasn't feeling convincing enough like this, so i actually took a photo of my laptop screen with the filter and somehow that looked more real than the actual shot from the show lol. (also, because i've stared at this screenshot for so long, the orange/yellow June 12th poster? is everything on it a reference?? loll)

going out on a limb here and asking for anonymous asks from anyone reading BitB (or not! im just crowd sourcing) who lives in/visited the cities on Endless' N. America tour. im doing bare minimum research for each city, as i don't plan on lingering too much on the locale (that would be counter productive, honestly). but it would certainly help me immerse myself as i write, if i could get some first hand experience from anyone who has visited or lived in these cities. the sights, smells, how hot it is in the summer... food, culture, music scene, etc.

chilchuck spends the entirety of his daughters' visit hovering suspiciously between them and a certain dwarf. when it's time for the girls to go home and no proposals have been made, he breathes a sigh of relief — awkward coworker x family member romance route narrowly avoided!
a couple weeks later meijack shows back up unannounced, backpack laden with tools and thigh-high boots looking uncharacteristically spiffy. bewildered and betrayed, chilchuck rounds on a clueless senshi, only freezing mid-swear when meijack interrupts to ask after namari's whereabouts.
the last thing he remembers thinking is, "shit, i forgot about the other dwarf!" before promptly blacking out.

I saw a post the other day that made me think about this…. Just a rough design because I had to get the vision out of my head but here’s paracelsus as in the one who created aba design. AND she’s a girl becsuse im awesome

Or maybe I’ll just never do anything with this again we’ll see 👍#i don’t like the way the face and arm look but idc that’s not the focus here

FIC UPDATE: Bolt in the Blue | Chapter 9 | Dream x Hob | M | In-Progress

“You are the exception, of course.” Morpheus continues unprompted, causing Hob to look sideways at him. “I… enjoy your company.”
Hob’s stomach flips over at the confession.
“Oh…” Hob bites his lip to prevent his smile from taking over his face. “I thought it went without saying, but I enjoy spending time with you as well. I’m glad we met.”
Morpheus relaxes, Hob hadn’t even noticed he was tense. A sense of ease surrounds them, Hob can see it in the way Morpheus peeks over at him, his gaze warm and his brows lifted.
“I’d like to play with you again, some time.”
It takes Hob a moment to interpret the meaning of Morpheus’ words, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he remembers what he’d been fretting about all morning.
“Me too,” he smiles. “Maybe without an audience of my peers, though.”
Morpheus hums in that thoughtful way, a sound that is quickly becoming one of Hob’s favorites.
“I think that can be arranged.”
