I made the horrible mistake of trusting this ghoul, and I will not let it happen again. Her name was Bobby and she nearly got me killed trying to break into a safe house belonging to goddamn Hancock. Her boy, Mel, is pretty alright, though.

Bobbi No Nose is one of the most interesting side characters in Fallout 4. From her name to her motivations it just made me want to know more about her. But Bethesda didn't give us more. So enjoy my headcannon story for Bobbi No Nose.

A quick note I want to make on the No Nose name. I always felt like it could have a double meaning. It could be understood as knows or nose. Bobbi No Knows as in Bobbi knows nothing. Which is basically is an insult to her intelligence. And of course no nose which implies from her past that she didn’t have a nose before becoming a ghoul.

During pre-war Bobbi was in deep with a mob. She would used subterfuge to do her boss’s dirty deeds. You needed information or a rat found? Bobbi was your woman. She was damn good at her job and even became the boss’s righthand woman.

There was at least one person Bobbi valued as a friend and trusted. She confided in him that she was going to make suggestions to their boss. Her friend warned her that their boss might take offense and think she wants to run the mob instead. Bobbi brushes this off as she is certain that she can make them see things her way.

When Bobbi tells the boss of her plans they are furious. Bobbi tries to convince her boss that she is nothing but loyal. But they can’t help but she her as a lair. The same thing that brought her a place as the boss’s right hand now made her a threat in their eyes.

“Bobbi thinks she knows everything now huh? Looks like I need to teach you to not stick your nose where you shouldn’t.” The boss says. They give the order to tie Bobbi up. Then the boss tells one of the boys to get a knife. And well, let’s just say what they did to her is the reason Bobbi is called Bobbi No Nose. Her friend later finds her and it is the only reason she survives the whole ordeal.

The bombs fall and Bobbi becomes a ghoul. She’s still up to her old tricks and wondering aimlessly until she meets someone who looks exactly like her old friend. This of course is Mel. Bobbi doesn’t know if Mel is a descendant of her old friend or not. But because he looks and acts so much like him she can’t help but adore Mel because he reminds her of her friend. The man who saved her life. The friend she never saw a again after he helped saved her life.

Eventually Bobbi ends up in Goodneighbor and taken in by Hancock. It is here where the past repeats itself once again. Something about Hancock reminded Bobbi of her boss in the past and it set her off. Bobbi wanted to show Hancock that he wasn’t invincible. She basically thinks that because everyone in Goodneighbor either fears or loves him that Hancock is being too laid back in how he runs Goodneighbor. And so her fear and past trauma instead of just talking to Hancock she goes a whole other extreme in this convoluted plan to make Hancock see things her way. By the end it seems like Bobbi never learned her lesson. Once again while thinking she knows best she stuck her nose where she shouldn’t. Only this time it cost her her life.

Really wanted to play with ghoul designs. Fallout 3 ghouls look different than the Fallout 4 ghouls because they are simply built different (and the capital wasteland is nuts compared to the commonwealth)

Taliesin/Bobby: "Oh, fishsticks..."
