Charms for my creative endeavor, The Birdburger Paper Shoppe. These charms were conceived from gouaché, ink and oil pastel sketches. Post-production by a UK printer. The material is 100% recycled acrylic.
Each bird represented is an endangered or threatened species- the extinct Carolina Parakeet as the poster child.
Charms were originally peddled as wine charms, however interest among my patron audience was nearly non-existent.
So I backtracked, regrouped strategy and morphed them into collectible earring pairs instead! All elements of the finished product (including the backing cards) were hand-assembled on my own in New Orleans.
My first wholesale purchaser for the earrings was The Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans for their 2022 Gift Store Collection. Debuting January 2022 in-store.
And they were featured on the holiday gift list for Louisiana periodical, Lola Magazine, Lifestyles for Louisiana Ladies.
