I like how delicate and soft Double D is when trying to imitate Eddy's "you have something on your shirt" prank. I don't know, I just love the concern with keeping the characters acting as they would. It's the same prank, but done in different ways.

While Eddy is all intense and rough acting out of enthusiasm, haste and mischief, Double D is cautious and concerned about not causing any harm and just play a silly innocent prank to cheer up his (boy)friend (and also because he has a generally gentle nature, so being rough doesn't come naturally for him), going slowly and gently. Eddy almost rips out Double D's nose while Eddy's nose only gives a little shake.

I love this contrast being so visible when we compare both scenes. And the sound effects are perfect as always.

I also like to point out that Double D's honesty is also highlighted in this scene. It wasn't just a prank to make a fool of Eddy. Double D played the prank honestly because Eddy actually had something on his shirt (his tears). I find it very interesting how Double D is always trying to do things honestly and how even in this scene this trait is in evidence. It's little details like this that I love that are so thought out.

Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show Sequel!

the Eds and cul-de-sac kids now teens have been doing pretty good even after being grounded for a year 'literally' and most of the summer until August and let off easy after good behavior, after a while it seems it seems that everything was not beginning to be peaches and cream when a set of events are the cause of the kids risk losing their homes at the cul-de-sac and trailer park the risky possibility of them having to move the Eds come together with the Kankers in a secret discovery that they believe could help save Peach Creek so later on they set up a secret meeting with the others to talk about the sisters discovery a great deed inheritance treasure with secret clues in another place made together by Eddy's and the Kankers in case anything it were to happen this could be their chance Eddy was able to convince along with the others that they can do this to help their parents and the whole neighborhood, but that would mean said by Double D, they would have to leave Peach Creek once again when he figure out where this supposed deed and treasure is not also that they would only have until the end of summer to get to that destination so The Eds, Kankers and the teens also want to help save their home make the ultimate decision to run away and going off into a new Edventure!

TV Tropes page says: ''As opposed to the order of their names in the title, Eddy is the protagonist, Edd is the deuteragonist, and Ed is the tritagonist[...]''. I used to see the tree equally, but this makes the very sense, Eddy always seemed like the major POV character, with the most important plots revolving him, and the last half of the show basically became about his feud with Edd (though I got sick of their bickering occasionally). I just wish Ed would had some bigger relevance, importance and didn't was so pushed off the spotlights. What you think?

The movie gives a clear picture of what Ed is considered the most important in the series.

my friend finished watching eene last night which means i finally get to post this

(And since today is the day when we first met, I decided to post it here.)

After so many times of watching the movie, I think I finally have a solid theory of what the Eds did at the start. 

They (think they) killed the ice cream truck driver. 

Looking back, it’s kind of strange to see an actual ice cream truck amidst the scene. Normally, the things they use in their scams are hand-made from cardboard or other junkyard scraps. It just now occurred to me that the ice cream truck seems out of place.

It would explain why they are so distraught, and feel the need to flee the cul-de-sac. And maybe why the others are so determined to see them to justice. Sure it’s one thing that they try to scam them, but after seasons of these scams, they actually seriously hurt an innocent person, and well someone has to teach them a lesson. 

Here’s what I imagine went down. They had a contraption they were trying to use to scam the other kids, as per usual in this show. Whatever this contraption did, Double Dee built in a red button that would cause it to fall apart, maybe as a failsafe or a last resort, which is why he told Eddy NOT to press it.

But of course we know Eddy never listens. He pressed it, and the thing flies apart, sending bits and pieces all over the place, including over the windshield of an unsuspecting ice cream truck, causing it to swerve, crash into a tree, and land amidst the scene, presumably causing even more chaos. The eds flee the scene as the driver is transported to the hospital, and after making sure they get the help they need, the other kids give chase. 

The Eds probably think they murdered someone, which is why they feel like they can’t go back to the cul-de-sac. 

I really love when they retrieve (I don't know if that's the correct word to use here. English isn't my first language) and reference previous events in Ed, Edd n Eddy. That's a scene from "Look Into My Eds" (season 1) and one of my favorite scenes in Big Picture Show:

"Have I ever steered you wrong?" "Yes"

"Lighten up, sockhead. Hasn't Eddy always steered you right? Don't answer that"

Double D having a hard time understanding rhetorical questions is something I really love and contributes to my autistic Double D headcanon (there are other moments like this, like in the season 3 episode "Boys Will Be Eds", when Eddy asks if Double D thinks Nazz will bite him and Double D answers straight up with a simple "yes"), and I like how Eddy deals with this.

I love Eddy anticipating and getting ahead of himself this time, now knowing how his autistic boyfriend tends to be literal and genuinely answer all questions with his brutal honesty and sincerity, and so, telling Double D not to answer because he's not supposed to answer.

I don't think I need to say how much I love their dynamic. It's so fun to see their personalities interacting together.

 Chapter 2: Welcome to New York, welcome to New York!

8 hours have since passed since the Ans made their decision to explore New York while making their way to West Virginia for the meantime the girls were packing up and getting their bags ready An decided to climb up on The hayloft towards the ceiling door to take a look outside "wow hey guys come up here I think you can see the ocean it's beautiful!" Motioning them to come up, climbing up Ann looks to see where An is pointing wind blowing in their hair “My goodness.” Her eyes shined as Anny climbed up after her "Whoa, so that's New York!" In the distance, the sunrise raised its rays by the bay area where New York is in the distance "I can't believe we're here?" Ann whispered amazed by its beauty  An called out "Good morning New York it's An Ann n Anny!" she giggled making them smile then Anny noticed something coming up it looked like it was one of the train stops "All right get ready girls we're about to make our stop!" The train stops with a steaming hiss. Carefully sliding the door open the girls cautiously looked around them remembering Mrs.Miel's advice to be cautious and not to get caught "Okay I think the closest clear girls let's head out." Anny ordered as they each carefully stepped out of the train’s boxcars An closing the door behind them as they made their way through "Okay Scarfhead where should we head off to?" Anny asked to see where they were. An thought of an idea of what to do “Let’s go shopping guys!” Double N thought about it for a moment “If we go straight and then take a left we might be able to find some shops nearby but we'll need to get a map of the area to search for potential rest places for us to stay at and transportation if we are to make our way through the city!" Anny nodding agreement before looking down slightly frowning "yeah I hear you sound like a plan though I think An as a point for us to do a little shopping besides I think we might need to get some new shoes." All three looking down as they realize that their shoes have worn out from all that running they did and went through the year "oh our poor shoes." An cooed, yup they needed a new pair. After making their way from the train stop and entering one of the neighborhood stores they noticed a man and his flower stand thinking he could help them find a shoe store they steadily walked up to see if he could help them as the man noticed them "well morning little ladies how you doing this beautiful morning?" He asked his New York accent deep yet friendly An asked first “We'd like to know where a shoe store is sir.“ she said sweetly "Yeah we do little lady it's a couple of blocks down called The Shoe Cottage but they don't open till 8:30 so ya only got a 30 minute wait until they do." Anny gave an ooh in relief. The sound of fresh coffee sounded so satisfying as Double N thanked the man before they left the man gave them some extra advice "You girls enjoy your visit here in our city but oh I advise you on these precautions just to be safe try to look local so you don't get targeted by thieves or pit pockets to look out for and make sure to know where you're going also keep your possessions with you tight make sure it does not leave them unattended and stay in a group don't wander off alone make sure to research the area and destination if you're unfamiliar with it don't be afraid to ask for a police officer for help, remember to take these precautions seriously girls we might be considered a safe City but it's best to have precautions while visiting a new place trust me as I experienced it and sometimes it cannot be pretty so you girls be careful." Giving a wink. The Ans was grateful for the advice as Ann waved a “thank you.” An and Anny doing the same thankful for the advice as the florist suddenly picked out three big pink roses from his stand handing each one to the Ans"Here girls a little welcome gift to The Big Apple!" He said with a smile waving the girls off as the Ans made their way across the street thanking the man as they made their way towards the cafe the fresh smell of brewing coffee hitting their noses making their way inside. “aww" An Ann and Anny sighed everything smelled really good the scent of coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice was in the air along with the smell of fresh bagels fresh from the oven Ann looked up “ooh so many choices.”Gazing at the menu's options the owner came out from the back “Ayo welcome to the Baby Brew Bean cafe how can I help you girls on this nice morning?" Anny smiled grabbing it and opening it up on the table for An and Ann to see as Anny read through it huh?, turns out on the map they were somewhere in Williamsburg. An was amazed “Wow so big!” indeed Ann read along “New York is bigger than I expected I might have to do some studying for where we need to go." She questioned grabbing her magnifying glass to take a better look at the map. Anny rolled her eyes “Never-ending study time for you huh Scarfhead.”She commented Ann ignored it as she focused An watching curiously what Double N would decide “Where to, Double N” asked their smart friend “There?” pointing an index finger on the map "If we take this route we can make our way to Central Park we can go through it to the other side until we can find a bus stop“ By then the owner came with their orders three cubby cups and a big paper bag " I had a feeling you girls going to head out so I thought I pack your orders to go." Replying with a smile as Ann took out some cash to pay the woman "How much do we owe you?" "$5.50 honey and would you like a receipt?"Giving a ‘no thanks,’ she nodded an ok. Handing the Ans their orders and taking the payment Anny gave a “thanks.” Taking their orders they got up, and soon the girls made their way out to the shoe store to get what they needed An happily skipped out the door “Let's go!” with a leap, soon the girls made their way out to the shoe store to get what they needed taking their time munching on their bagels and sipping on their coffee The store was very like a cottage in a cute modern style "Aw I wonder if fairies and goblins work here?" She asked giggling making Anny and Double N do as well An still imaginative as ever, always brightening the moment as they entered the store, an employee came up welcoming them. "Good morning how may I help you girls?" An in her excitement blurted out “New shoes!”Causing the employee to laugh, An was a bit confused “What…?” "Haha sorry hun you’re expression is just so darn cute it brightens my morning haha!. causing the girls to laugh too after a good chuckle the employee refocused on her customers “what shoes would you like?” Ann stepped in “we are seeking good shoes for long waking and hiking distance while also water proof." The employee knew what they were looking for “ok..(walking up to them) I think I have something that suits your needs come with me I think they're near the back." Backing them to follow her to the left side of the store An Ann and Anny followed her lead until they got to a shelf awestruck “oh.” The Ans brighten at the selection of shoes " now this is a selection I think you girls would like they're very good firm fitting perfect for long distance walking and hiking have some waterproof material so they'll dry quickly and are very comfortable on the feet ." the Ans ooh’d impressed. "Now would you sweeties like to tell me your size and we'll do a couple of fittings." Offering the girls a comfortable couch to sit on where you can try on shoes “We’re all size 7 miss." Double N explained as they got busy trying on shoes to see what fit comfortably with them most. Anny found a pair of red and white shoes that fit really well on her feet and totally were her style "Oh these fit nice and look totally fabulous on my feet." Striking a cute pose with her feet to show off, Double N found a pair of black and white slip-ons that fit her feet quite nicely and were comfortable on her heels "Ohh these will be quite useful in the exertion miles of our expedition." An was excited as she found a pair of black gray lime and white ones they were a bit heavy but these will definitely help her through hiking "Oohh I love them I can't wait to climb so many things with these! Aren't they cool Anny, Double N?!" She said excitedly it was the first time she got new shoes, not since her mom only got her a single pair for the beginning of the school year which bothered Anny and Double N for a while but they were now happy since An’s the sweetest girl you'll ever meet and she deserved new shoes. Anny couldn’t help but aww at An’s reaction. It felt good seeing An happy(she and Double N never really liked An’s Mom for how she treats An sometimes and takes her annoying brat of a brother's side all the time gah she and Sam's mom were a total bitc....) Ok, she was gonna let that thought go and not ruin her mood they were far away from those losers reminding herself just enjoy the sweet moment for An she thought taking a long sip of her latte 'Mmm damn good latte.' By then An and Double were ready to pay for their shoes "Alright girls that will be $7:50 each and you can donate your old shoes in our donation box we use them to recycle and make new shoes for people oh plus we come with a pair of three socks for buying three shoes."Handing the girls a pair of pastel-colored socks all pink blue and green the Ans happily took them after they paid removing their shoes to put on their new ones and putting the old pairs into the box as they waved the employer goodbye. Once they got the shoes along with a pair of free socks, the crowds were beginning to come out for the day bustling and hustling for the busy day to come Anny took charge "Come on we better head out if we're going to make it to Central Park!" She ordered, "Ohh remember to stick together like the flowerman said." An and Double N nodded agreeing with Anny looking closely at the map again finding the directions and pointing where they needed to head "Let's go" With that they made their way toward their destination.

Meanwhile, back at Peach Creek, the teens were waking up from they are long tiring day yesterday Nazz was the first to wake still snuggled up against Kevin as he gently snored still sound asleep Nazz knew it was time to wake up “Kevin?” She lightly scratched his chin "Kkeevvinn.." she whispered in a sing-song voice lightly smiling as Kevin sleepily opened his dark forest green eyes “Huh?” still groggy “Morning sleepyhead." Gave him a light peck on his chin sat up to stretch and looked at the clock it was 9:00 “I’ll get us some coffee brewing and breakfast going." Letting out a yawn she made her way to the kitchen as Kevin set up to stretch as well his limbs were still achy and sore from yesterday with slight cracks and pops coming from them. Stretching out at an angle his back let out a satisfying pop making him grow in relief  Rolf and Johnny woke up just in time as Johnny rubbed away the sleep from his eyes "Yawn.. morning Plank you sleep okay buddy?" He asked his wooden pal scratching his head a silence came from the wood "...." "That's good Plank I admit it was a little bit of a rough sleep but we're okay now."As Rolf stretched out his limbs his muscles were sore and achy too and were giving out satisfying pops "Oh Rolf has had a rough sleep he needs the black bean beverage for energy." In mentioning that the sound and smell of fresh coffee brewing filled the room and the sound of breakfast cooking in the kitchen invaded their senses. Making their way to the kitchen to the kitchen Nazz was at the stove skillet in her hand cooking up some bacon sausage ham and eggs for all of them "Hey guys breakfast will be ready in a little bit there's a fresh pot of coffee waiting for y'all."Pointing the coffee maker behind her "There's the creamer in the fridge in case you want some." She already had her cup of coffee and was fully awake now setting her in a good mood as Kevin and Rolf gladly poured themselves a cup Johnny who wasn't a big fan of coffee "No coffee for me and Plank Nazz gives us a tummy ache but we'd be happy to have some orange juice if you have any if that's okay." He asked a little shy slightly embarrassed by what coffee does to him "That's all right Johnny there's a fresh picture of it in the fridge help yourself."She replied as she put some toast in the toaster and got Johnny and even Plank glasses from the cupboard "Gee Nazz you're a great host!" He smiled happily going to the fridge and taking out the picture it was freshly squeezed orange juice right from the oranges as he poured a glass for him and plank "Here let me help you set the table." He offered to which Nazz was much applied as Kevin and Rolf took big sips of their coffee letting the caffeine get to their systems and waking them up more Kevin took another sip “Ahh.” The coffee was really hitting the spot Kevin looked to Nazz “So what now?” since they’re now stuck here for the time being. Setting the plates of food on the table Nazz turned to him with a relaxed face "For now Kev all we can do is heal and get our strength back up together, wherever the Ans are hiding they probably won't be back for a while, when they do we'll think of a suitable punishment for them, for now we heal until we can think of a plan now come on(motioning the food on the table with a smile) breakfast is served dudes."Taking Kevin's muscled arm around hers they gathered at the table for breakfast.  

Sam and Julie are also up and having some breakfast. After the night they had Julie decided to make the two of them pancakes with cinnamon and vanilla while Sam poured some coffee Julie made a stack of soft fully flat cakes with soft butter and warm maple syrup, Sam took a long sip, ooh that hits the spot but he couldn’t help but groan rubbing his tired eyes yesterday was hella crazy and his body felt sore from the rough tumble he had with the Kankers "damn trailer freaks." He grumble still pissed off at how they forced them to search for his dumb sister and dumb her friends almost all night why do they even like the Ans anyway? He doesn't know nor cares where they're at it'll be nice not to hear his annoying sister around helping her stupid friends with stupid Anny's scams all the time wherever they are good riddance he doesn't give a damn “Hey Julie pass the syrup."

At the Kankers the two were up from yesterday talking and thinking about where their girls are as Leo and Mars had their coffee and Maz made them some grits with eggs and bacon, Mars discussed the Ans with Leo “They could be anywhere.” “Don’t worry guys I'm sure we’ll find them!" Maz comforted them staying positive for Mars and Leo as he served the three of them their breakfast and began to dig in as Leo sprinkled some salt and pepper on his grits and eggs (the phone rings) “Can someone get that?”Mars answered it, it's their dad checking up on them "Hey Pops how’s life on the road is." Their dad was a part-time Trucker and owner of the trailer park whenever he was on the road the boys were left in charge which they didn't mind doing, knowing how hard their dad worked for them. Mr. Kanker greeted the boys on the other in a deep southern accent “Great, boys!” They talked to their dad for about an hour, letting him know everything was fine their chores were done the trailer was clean and they made sure the rent day was done making sure everyone had paid. It made Mr. Kanker proud of them “Keep up the good work.” Mars smiled "Sure thing Daddy." As Mr. Kanker  let the boys know he was  gonna be gone a little longer and would call later on tomorrow Leo suddenly had an idea "Hey hand me the phone I need to ask Pops something." Mars a bit confused obliged “ok.” What was Leo up to? Taking the phone from Mars Leo presses the phone to his ear ready to ask for something for an idea he has but they're going to need their Pop's permission "Hey Pops I was wondering...."

Meantime later in the afternoon back at Nazz's the teens were checking on how they were feeling so far after yesterday's fiasco "Okay Johnny looks like you're going to be good too." She declared like the rest of them it looks like the medicine and painkillers helped really well last night they were still a bit sore but they should be good in a few days until they can come up with a plan to figure out where the Ans are. Kevin felt his phone vibrate pulling it out from his pocket and checking it he saw it was a text from Karrie (Hey just got a call from Dad we'll be going out to dinner for family time so make sure to ask your girl to make you look decent to keep Dad off your case you know how he is when ya got into trouble sometimes, anyway see you at 5:30.) Kevin understood that he knows his dad gets concerned sometimes but right now this thing that happened with the Ans is very personal and they all don't want the adults butting in. he checked the time “hmm… oh no.” He only had an hour and 30 minutes as he quickly turned to Nazz "How fast can you cover with your makeup stuff?" Nazz gave him a reassuring smile “No sweat!” After an hour Nazz was able to help Kevin look decent enough to not look like he'd been through a hell of a day throwing off any suspicion Nazz completed her work “There!” Since they were going out to a fancy restaurant Nazz was able to dress him in some good dark jeans with a green dresser and black vest with his signature sneakers and cap (that he refuses to take off except to comb his hair the cap stays) spray some cologne as the finishing touch as  Nazz gave a tada! looking in the mirror Kevin was impressed by Nazz's handy work then checked his watch again it was time to go.
