I like how delicate and soft Double D is when trying to imitate Eddy's "you have something on your shirt" prank. I don't know, I just love the concern with keeping the characters acting as they would. It's the same prank, but done in different ways.

While Eddy is all intense and rough acting out of enthusiasm, haste and mischief, Double D is cautious and concerned about not causing any harm and just play a silly innocent prank to cheer up his (boy)friend (and also because he has a generally gentle nature, so being rough doesn't come naturally for him), going slowly and gently. Eddy almost rips out Double D's nose while Eddy's nose only gives a little shake.

I love this contrast being so visible when we compare both scenes. And the sound effects are perfect as always.

I also like to point out that Double D's honesty is also highlighted in this scene. It wasn't just a prank to make a fool of Eddy. Double D played the prank honestly because Eddy actually had something on his shirt (his tears). I find it very interesting how Double D is always trying to do things honestly and how even in this scene this trait is in evidence. It's little details like this that I love that are so thought out.

I've been watching Modern Family lately

Today I was imagining Edd and Eddy hugging for the first time after admitting they like eachother, like think about it, they would be so awkward about it at the beginning, like they'd let out all the emotions and confessions and then just stare at eachother like 0_0 "ok what do we do now" and then they awkwardly shift around and just kinda, hesitantly, reach out, and sorta hug - and they sit there for a moment and start to scoot in closer snd squeeze harder, because Eddy isn't used to such an intimate unconditionally loving embrace, and double dee is worried that if he lets go he'll never get this back and he might leave forever, so they just hold and hold and hold and hold

"We could just go to our house, Eddy".

I like how Double D's line in this scene sounds like he and Eddy live in the same house together.
